Yeah, in my head I’m think an AU-centered rp taking place around 7 years after the events of ROTS

Okay, different, do not see many new canon stuff. what is AU about it?

Well, it’s a bit all over the place, I let my imagination run wild coming up with it.

The main diversion from the canon Star Wars timeline is the survival of Mace Windu (I know, totally original). After Order 66 is executed and the Empire rises over the galaxy, he goes off the grid. During his exile, he meets a couple of tech-savvy mercenaries who agree to help him hide from the Empire, as well as bounty hunters. After a while, Mace is quite sick of exile, and of the Empire forcing him into exile, so with the help of said mercenaries, he airs a message at large across the galaxy, encouraging people to rise up against the Empire. The message would end up working, as some in the Middle and Outer Rims would rise up and topple the local Imperial governments, separated into two factions: the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and another faction that also wants to restore the Republic, but with less bureaucracy, wishing to make it more of a federation/confederation.

There is also a third faction thrown in for good measure: the Separatists. One random droid General, who’d basically be space Napoleon, refuses to follow Palpatine’s order to deactivate his droid army, along with some others, and they retreat into the Unknown Regions. The aforementioned general ends up taking over and transforms the CIS into a de facto military dictatorship, and upon seeing the Empire begin to fracture, he and the CIS re-emerge from the shadows to reclaim what they feel is rightfully theirs.

Not only does the Empire have to deal with the two rebel factions, plus the reemerged Separatists, they also have to find Windu, who is now, for all intents and purposes, public enemy number one as far as the Empire is concerned. He is, however, still in hiding and ridiculously hard to find, as he is now on the move, aiming to avoid the Imperial search parties.

There is a couple of other, smaller diversions thrown in for the heck of it, one of them being the survival of Padme. I kinda always thought the whole “losing the will to live” thing was a bit crappy, so I gave Padme a reason to continue living: to raise her child(ren). The twins are still separated, although Leia is in the custody of Padme, who has largely disappeared from the public eye, while Luke, like in canon, is in the custody of Owen and Beru.

Again, it’s a bit all over the place, but at least it’s somewhat original.

Another question, will the Sino-Soviet split be a factor? Can we be spies from all over the world or is it preferred to be Soviet-aligned?

The USSR and China are probably in the early stages of splitting at this point, in 1963 (I think that's when I said it was, I'll have to check) but the players can probably turn that around.

RP's Overarching Concept: You create a politician to your own liking in a fictional nation, which faces a deep rural-urban divide (much like the US), where the rural areas feel unrepresented and underappreciated, a migrant crisis (much like the Balkans), where hundreds of thousands of muslim migrants are entering from a psuedo-middle east, a rise in radicalism (much like the entire world IRL), where anti-establishment sentiments are growing, and radical left and right parties are surging in popularity, a stagnant economy, due to the war mentioned in a minute as well as a recession (~5 years ago), and the effects from a recent (~8 years) war with a neighboring nation, after a series of disputes over a disputed region, with bombs and fighting exploding along the border, only ending the costly and bloody 1-year long war with UN intervention. Also, said fictional nation is just psuedo-greece (culture, linguistic wise). Nation uses the US system, however with European-style coalitions. The presidential elections use the electoral college, however congressional seats are more open to third-parties. Players app as individual candidates, however the first to apply may apply as political party and become said party leader.

Detailed Description: Create a politician, and the first to apply may include and found political parties within the nation, to run in the upcoming presidential and congressional elections. Starting a year out from these elections, you must build a support base and forge ties with other parties and candidates to bring your side to victory. Compete as individual candidates in primaries and move on to the general election, and bathe in the sweet scents of victory.

The current Emperor, Maximilian IV is a pale shadow of what his predecessors. A man far to small to hold such a lofty office the Imperial government has become a tangled morass of bureaucracy, noble intrigue and corporate money. And now the emperor lays upon his death bed. When he dies, his son, Maximilian the V will take the throne and continue his fathers lethargic style of rule.

Further out from the bustle of the Sol system mankind has encountered intelligent alien life for the first time in our history. It was not a peaceful first contact. RP's Overarching Concept:Spacefaring humanity reaches back out beyond the borders of the Solar System to reclaim their old colonies (and maybe make quite a few new ones too) after defeating a race of assimilating aliens know as the Bydo Empire. Various groups belonging to the main factions of humanity fight for control over different star systems while sometimes stumbling across the remnants of the Bydo and possibly stealing their technology to better themselves. Hijinks ensue.
Genre/s: FT/Sci-Fi, exploration, factions, space combat, colonisation, 4X, mild horror.
Character or Faction Based: Faction (although it will mainly be units belonging to the bigger factions E.g. The main Earth Government, a rival/rebel faction or two. Of course some players will be allowed to make their own independent factions, but they will of course be smaller).
Detailed Description:
2183 AD:
After 20 years of fighting against a superior foe, humanity had not just survived...but won. Due to the valiant actions of a single experimental starfighter, the central core of the evil Bydo Empire had been destroyed. With their leader gone, this once mighty threat has fallen into disarray while the many minds it has assimilated begin to regain their individuality and tear the collective apart from within.
However, such a war has come with great cost. A majority of the Solar System's resources have been depleted in order the support the war effort. In order to remedy this grave issue, mankind took advantage of no longer being surrounded on all fronts and sent out numerous fleets to bring the long lost colony systems back into their fold.

It has been 5 years since then. Thanks to the influx of resources from Alpha Centauri and Barnard's Star the Solar System and its societies have recovered. In addition, Dimensional Catapults have been established between them to enable easy travel. While there is much room to expand, all is right with the world's.
But with humanity in a stable condition and no longer under the constant threat of annihilation, old issues begin to emerge once again. Friction between the various component governments of the coalition threatens to break it apart. New factions opposed to the ruling Earth Hegemony and its status quo have already formed, both within Solar and on the colonies. Some oppose the current policies and ideology, while others wish to put an end to the use of reverse-engineered Bydo technology.
Meanwhile, the legacy of the Bydo still lives on in some of the distant star systems in the local stellar region. Various planets and space facilities remain infected. While this poses a danger to would-be settlers, it is also an opportunity for those willing to make use of "The Devil's Devices" to accumulate these powerful artefacts and use them to further their goals. But these ruins might not be the only things left behind. Some believe that Imperial forces still hold power over systems in the distant regions of local space. Forces that will one day reorganise and launch another attack.
The future of humanity can go down many paths. Some better, some worse. Will man remain in a tense union as it finally becomes the master of the cosmos? Will society be transformed by a huge regime change? Will Earth and its extensions be destroyed in the flames of war?
Well, this will depend on the actions of those who reach out into the void...and what they find.

I like it. I like Avatar and dark settings. I think that the characters could be almost any type of character, not just soldiers. An Earth Kingdom shopkeeper, a Fire Nation noble, anything in an open world. However, mature themes of war and death would touch all the characters.

I feel like the characters being soldiers would be best simply because it’d give them a motive to be around each other and to move across the world with eachother.
