RP's Overarching Concept: A Super Hero RP set in the growing expanse of the Wild West. It's to serve as a semi-open world Sandbox centered around the gold rush of the fictional town of Butte City, Utah. Here, the players play a diverse cast of characters as they try to navigate the rapidly growing town of gold miners, industrialists, and outlaws. Supervillains will make their appearance as the RP progresses, or players can choose to play one off the bat if they so choose. OCs are welcome, but so are characters from existing IPs. For example, if you want to play Frank Castle as a US Marshal with a grim reputation that proceeds him everywhere he goes, by all means, go for it. This is a world where the strange becomes ordinary, where science advances by the power of coal, and where a nation so nearly torn apart tries to heal.

Are there any particular types of superheroes you're imagining? Ex: A played-straight Ironman wouldn't exactly fit with the setting, though a steampunk Ironman would be a hell of a twist.

What an awesome concept!

If I wasn't stretched thin, I would join in a heartbeat. And I love the steampunk idea of Iron Man mentioned above. Trying to think of others.

Exactly, this is essentially what happens if you take Marvel 1872 and throw a healthy splash of Red Dead into it. So steampunk is going to essentially be how science advances. Coal-fired generators will be the most powerful device in the west and I'm hoping we see someone decide to go with a steampunk Iron Man.

So this is both kinda-sorta a Marvel alternate universe RP and kinda-sorta an original setting?

Either way, I'm interested, though.

It certainly is- and indeed the steampunk Ironman is an awesome concept- I'm imagining this Tony Starks as someone with the appearance of Tesla, the drive of Edison, and the wildness expected of an American innovator in the era. Like dog man, I'm seeing him as the sort of guy who would gamble on steamboats before getting a steampowered heart. Like his alcoholism too- dang man this could go so many ways!

I've been thinking of doing a reimagining of a villainous character - Perhaps a steampunk Doctor Doom as a contrast to Iron Man, or maybe Magneto as an immigrant who fled to America to escape persecution in Europe, or maybe Norman Osborn as a Gilded Age robber baron. Or I might try to take an obscure loser villain like Stilt-Man or something and try to make them actually cool.

I haven't yet decided on anything specific, as you can probably tell, but I've got some ideas.

How would you guys put Mr. Fantastic into this Western superhero RP? Mind is blown thinking about it.

Instead of going to space and getting bombarded by cosmic rays, the Fantastic Four are explorers who are exposed to mysterious energy in the Arctic or something?

Although now that I think about it, that's basically the same as the Marvel 1602 FF's backstory.

I meant like, how would you do his powers? Would he still stretch as normal? Or would it be different?

Y’all know what forget the Greek gods RP.
I have two RP ideas, but I don’t know if they’re suitable.
The first one is a school RP.. But, instead of your normal school and stuff, it’s like an arts school, where you can hone your skills. It’s like, one of the best arts high school in the world. IDK what city it’ll be based in, but since I’m very familiar with Singapore I may choose it.
The good things:
+ I’ve seen many school-RPs, but RPs related to the arts are uncommon(from what I see here) so a crossover would be interesting and fresh.

Not-so-good things:
- As said earlier, not many RPs about the arts(let alone RPs about art schools) exist, so people may not be familiar with an RP like this.
- Though not exactly as important, Singapore isn’t a familiar place to most people here.

My other RP idea is about the k-pop trainee system, but you know, these probably belong to Wattpad ._.

So I've been doing some brainstorming for a Weird West RP. Here's what I have so far:
Winchesters and Skinwalkers:
The year is 1884. The small mining town of Slate Creek, New Mexico is under siege from creatures straight out of legend and myth. The telegraph has been cut, and the railroad tracks have been torn up by the monsters, possibly by accident, possibly by intention. Slate Creek (population 247) has been cut off from the outside world. The nearest town is four days away by horse. A train carrying dry goods, foodstuffs, and some passengers, was in the depot when the siege began, so the the townsfolk do have some extra supplies. Fortunately, the monsters can be killed by regular lead bullets. The town was founded near an old Indian camp in 1870 after silver and iron ore was discovered. In early 1884, the miners accidentally dug into an old Indian graveyard and all around sacred area. A native shaman cursed the town to suffer the wrath of the ancient monsters and the undead. Giant snakes, revenants, skinwalkers, and others lay in wait, just outside of town.

In town locations:
Sheriff's office/town hall
The Placer Saloon and Hotel
Baughman's General Store
Jack Dunn's smithy
The First Bank of Slate Creek
Slate Creek Baptist Church
Zimmerman's Tack and Stable
Joshua Peterson's carpentry shop
Wilkins Apothecary
Slate Creek Depot
Railroad office

Nearby:
The mines
Mine office
Slate Creek
Navajo village
Navajo cemetery/sacred site

Inhabitants:
Sheriff John "Thunderhead" Walker
Jack Dunn (blacksmith)
George Baughman (owner of general store)
Joshua Peterson (carpenter)
Betsy Wilkins (nurse/apothecary owner)
Johan Zimmerman (farrier/tack/stable)
Bill Robertson (mine foreman)
Pastor Ned Johnson
Samuel "Grizzly" Wilson (owner of the Placer/former scout and soldier)
Peter Jorgensen (banker)
Dwight Howard (railroad official)

Creatures:
Skinwalkers
Revenants
Giant snakes

It's all very rough and unfinished. I welcome any feedback/advice/suggestions/etc.

I don't know if I'll be able to join, but part of me wants to play a character who has this Captain Ahab style revenge obsession towards a particularly nasty Giant Snake he calls 'Old Red Eyes', 'Shaker', or 'The Devil Wyrm'. Armed with a great pole, a repeater, buckshot, tnt, and a wagon he's not going to let anything distract him from taking the beast down. However, just like Ahab he'll need a crew- Shaker's not some boot rattler- Shaker's gonna take 10 maybe 20 men the way the character tells it. The promise of snake oil destiled from the fat of the beast, of hide to gain a profit, and a rattler to decorate the town's gate- perhaps those will be enough to get a party together to end The Devil Wyrm.

Hook me up with a Revenant character? I'm getting a Ghost Town scare zone from Knott's Scary Farm vibe from this.

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. It's basically if the SCP Foundation got mixed with 1984.

Maybe? I'm still brainstorming a little, but I think that would be fine. Would you or Harb be interested in co-oping something like this? I want to do this RP, but RL can be a bit crazy. Thanks for any input!

Maybe? I'm still brainstorming a little, but I think that would be fine. Would you or Harb be interested in co-oping something like this? I want to do this RP, but RL can be a bit crazy. Thanks for any input!

I'm already co-oping a RP and I have some stuff on my RL palette. I'm sure Harb might be interested, unless they are busy too.

RPs I do

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. It's basically if the SCP Foundation got mixed with 1984.

I am also co-op for another RP; Star Wars - Memories of Regicide and thus can not co-op this RP.

That's fine. I completely understand.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: A North America-centric RP following the collapse of the United States and Mexico.
Genre/s: Alt-History, political
Character or Faction Based: Nation and Faction
Detailed Description: In the year 1998, after victory in the cold war, the United States begins its collapse as the strain of the cold war was too much for the government to handle. A second civil war began in 1999 when remnants of the US government attempted to keep power over secessionist states. It ended in 2003 with the country split up and the government loyalists fleeing to Puerto Rico and the Virgin islands. Both a revived Confederacy and a Socialist northeastern nation claim to be the legitimate successor state of America. Smaller nations such as Greater Delmarva, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas, The Plains, Greater Dakota, Greater Idaho, Aztlan, Utah, Nevada, and Cascadia also exist now. California went into a civil war in 2011 and is now divided between a Military Junta in the north and an Anarcho-Communist south. Hawaii is now under Japanese protection, while Alaska is now a key ally of Russia. Canada has lost British Columbia and Quebec but has gained control over Montana, Michigan, and Ohio. Mexico is now a landlocked Military Junta because of resurgent Zapatista and Cristero states, an independent Yucatan and Baja California, and a United syndicate of drug cartels in the north. Canadian politics are becoming increasingly polarized with both far-left and far-right parties even winning seats in the Canadian parliament. Can the continent get itself together? Or will it devolve further into chaos?

Sounds interesting, but how exactly did the Cold War put too much strain on the US?
Yugoslavia's back baby...

How the hell did this happen?
Well...we don't actually know. Sure, there's factbooks and stuff, but they don't really matter because the owner of this account is a lazy, unproductive, indecisive loser who may or may not have a thing for half human hybrids, big mechs and even bigger ships.
Is it a reunited Yugoslavia in the 21st century? Is a rebel colony world in the far future? Who knows, who cares?
New Yugoslavia just is.

Let's just say some presidents are more inept, socialist politicians become more popular in the northeast in the 70s, the US puts more resources into the arms race and proxy wars across the world under Reagan, secessionist factions start gaining power in some states, the war on drugs is even worse, and the Oklahoma city bombing causes the federal government to crack down on freedom even further.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST

RP's Overarching Concept: Players are a Manager and his all-star players, with the players also beating a baseball club in a fictional pro league. Technically it's sci-fi, but the setting is very "1940's America in Space'
Genre/s: Uh, Sports
Character or Faction Based: Character
Detailed Description:I love baseball, both in fiction and in real life, and I've always wanted to run a baseball RPG were the players make their own club and try to bring them to the championship or something. The concept behind this game is that simple really, one player plays the Manager (If you don't know what that is in baseball term, they are basically the head coach of the team) and his all-star players in a baseball club that the players will design, but at the start of the game has run into hard time, just coming back from an awful season that lead to the firing of their last manager and a massive rebuilding effort. The players will be responsible for this rebuilding effort.

Now, I know baseball can be boring and thus I won't have the players actually roleplay out every single game, but key ones and mostly focus on their lives, their struggles and themselves. I will probably be using dice rolls in this game, however.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: Welcome to a titan legio!! A fun 40k rp where players take on the roles of princeps, moderati, and tech-priests (maybe the machine spirit of the titan itself too!), plug into the MIU and go kill some xeno/heritic/tratior/enemy du jour scum. The mechanicus is here to help and (about half the time) will enlist legions of cyborg skitarii to protect you close in. You'll also get to work with all the fun imperial factions like the adeptus astartes, adepta sororitas, astra militarum, planetary guard, and whatever else i can think of that would be fun to do.

A very player/cooperation focused sort of rp where all the characters have to work in tandem to walk a super complex mech in over the top sci-fi battles. Tons of arcane magic and technology, people losing themselves to machine spirits, strange religions, miracles, robots, gore, and explosions. Ideally a player would have at least cursory knowledge of 40k, but it wouldn't be too hard to spin this off and start the lore from scratch or catch people up.

If you already know 40k and especially mechanicus lore I'd really like your help making this feel consistent.
Genre/s: Sci-fi, established universe
Character or Faction Based: character based, but also kinda sorta faction based since i'd like to have a few titan crews to play around with.

Need Help With: Setting things up, running everything, making sure this is a reasonable concept. Thought I should ask here before trying something as ambitious as an rp in an existing universe where people have to work together or they fail when i've never been an op before
