I am a Dungeons and Dragons DM, and I love making plot. You hit me with a setting, I hit you with a plot, we work together?

I'm the same way with being in charge of things. I have some cool ideas, but fail in follow through of plot and organization and pacing sometimes, and can be harsh with how I apply punishments and might make snap judgments. I'd rather take a backseat - be the maker, OP, and rule creator, but not the enforcer of these rules unless absolutely necessary (like an abuse of Co-OP power).

Do you know if anyone would be willing to help me?

Sometimes I have great ideas, but they need more... thinking out, and are kind of experimental without that, and I can't do the thinking out.

Well, they're faster, easier to keep track of, won't be deleted, can be pinned easily, can be edited, messages can be organized into lists, etc. Discord has a lot of benefits if you're using it for text communication.

Also, I feel more comfortable there.

um... eh... I don't... understand how they are faster- and- if you archive them they don't get deleted. If you are in the TG menu you wont get notified of a new one for some time if you stay in the menu you have to back out of it and you'll get the notification instantly. um... we may be at an impass- I don't- like Discord not only because of my first impression but also due to - certain RP threads going dead over it's use. Like OOC conversations taking place on Discord making the RPs look dead- and thus discouraging new players from enrolling- or discouraging new players without a Discord.

The conversations happening off site (away from the OOC) also makes them unreadable by those of us without a Discord. So we can't give our two cents on the topics or even know of them.

It escalates the informed and uninformed gap.

Makes the site feel sluggish, desolate, and inactive.

Oh yes ICs will move but it's the OOCs that draw in players and gives them a sense of community. By hiding away a group on discord isolates those who would get involved. Their posts go un answered- and hardly read- as the elite of Discord comes to favor it's own concerns.

I don't like when players go to discord to discuss such topics as 'Hey I really liked what you did with x and y, do you think z can get in on that?' - you know the player chatter that shows investment in the IC by the players. I like to see that on the OOC as it shows a lively player base and opens to them discussion on how to proceed as players.

We're going to need a mapmaker who is willing to do either four quadrant maps for a Star Trek faction/nation RP, or a larger map (though quadrants would probably be easier), because neither Harb nor I are capable of making it. It is way outside my skill set, but the RP won't go well without original efforts made mapwise as the RP is going to be in the 25th or 26th century to facilitate interactions between different quadrants through the transwarp that some nations will have access to.

I have an idea for a post-apocalyptic RP that doesn't have to do with zombies. Back in 1978, Stephen King released the novel The Stand where a weaponized strain of flu is accidentally released which kills off 99.4% of the population. Now a RP idea can be combining it with Lord of the Flies, where after a mysterious illness affects the world, only children at or under the age of 14 survive, where they are left to rebuild society in a world without adults.

So I have stupid idea.

I'm making a Kingdom Hearts RP with the idea that people played as isekai'd people from our world to help save the universe in order to leave. It will take place after KH3 with Keyblade War II being a victory for the Guardians but the Realm of Light is still shattered and most of the heroes are dead or just retired from fighting the Darkness.

You can be good guy or bad, don't give a shit about that, but the idea is to try and pull this off since no one has done it before. We will stick to a few Disney, Square Enix and creative worlds. I will not be doing other cartoons, Star Wars or Marvel because that's a can of worms I don't want to open.

I don't know if this will gain interest. I don't know if it would be worth the risk. If people want to try something stupid out with me or actually have questions, then I will like either or. Just thought that this idea maybe worth something new to try out.
