While it's a rather easy fix to make, it ought to be noted that Madison and Julia had went off to the cafeteria -- and that Larry is now conversing with Eleanor.

My bad. I'll fix it.

EDIT: I've fix it. Now if it's ok, can we talk ICly along with Sergal?

Name: Walter Wieder
Sex: Male
Gender: Male
Grade: N/A
Role: Algebra Teacher
Birthday: 01/19/1967
Hometown: Berlin, New Hampshire
Appearance: Image
Height, Weight, and Body Type: 5'10, 150 lbs, Tall and lanky
Personality:
Known widely by his nickname in the school of "Gestapo Wieder", Walter himself is a sadist who derives his joy from having his most hated students suffer in his class. Not completing math homework on any given day(he checks every day) will be more than enough to earn his scorn and contempt. Once a person has earned his contempt, Wieder being a petty and vindictive man would go to great lengths to make that person's life a complete living hell. Wieder also is a lone wolf rarely interacting with the other professors, and often just keeping to himself. That is not to say he has no respect for the rules, however, in fact, Wieder follows the rulebook like a Bible adhering to its standards extremely strictly. His arrogant and narcissistic personality causes him to have the uncontrollable impulse to brag to his students and show off his superior math skills.

Sexual Orientation: X
Moral Alignment: Lawful Evil
Personal Skills:
-Great at deducting marks from students for the smallest errors
-Brilliant at algebra
-Very capable at confusing students
-Excellent cook
-Has a very loud authoritative voice

Personal Vulnerabilities:
-Emotionally unstable
-Quick to anger
-Arrogant and proud

Biography:
Born to a poor couple in Berlin, New Hampshire from a young age Walter was a lonely child. During school, he had no friends other than his trusty calculator and math questions. He was often bullied in school and students hypothesize the bullying must have really got to him. However, Wider also got his bullies back, even if it took a while... Eventually, he was able to sneak into the teacher's office and change all of the tests of his bullies, ensuring that not a single one passed any class. During high school he had a near perfect GPA, apart from English(which he scored a C on, he still has a grudge against English teachers), his marks were enough to get him into Dartmouth University where he majored in Math Education due to the fact that he wanted to educate the next generation(on his college application), though, in reality, it is much more likely that he accepted the job to wreak suffering and despair. He taught around the country, and his tenure has been marked with students complaining how hard his classes are. He never stayed in one place for more than 7 years.

In 2014 after leaving a teaching job in Birmingham, Alabama, he got a job at Coastal Daytona Academy. During his short stay, he acquired quite a formidable reputation. His classes averages routinely are stuck in the Ds and Cs. With around 20% of students outright failing the course all together. Furthermore, he also liberally gives out detention to any student of extreme length. As a result many students gave him the nickname "Gestapo Wieder", and numerous students attempt their best to avoid his class, however many are not so fortunate.

RP Sample: You know me right...?
Other:
Only the best of the best can get a good mark in his class

Just as a heads up, while I learn how to jumble actually being a productive member of society, I may be a bit slow at posting here. At least, to get things started off. Once I am doing interactions, I can respond a lot easier. The mixture of my situation where I don't have a car, so I have to wait for transport, and being about 30 minutes from work, and sometimes having to do even more things, plus not having anything but a phone as a portable device (And by no means am I posting with a god damn phone), I just need a bit to figure out how to jumble the balance. And, you know, not be dead tired when I'm home.

I am definitely still here, just figured I may as well clarify that here for any interactions I may partake in.

Re-posting from the old thread

Name: Ryo Shimizu
Sex: Male
Gender: Male (Binary)
Grade: 12th
Role: Exchange Student. Swimmer
Birthday: 17 years old. 31/08/2000
Hometown: Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. Japan.
Appearance:
Image
Image

Height, Weight, and Body Type: 5'9, 145 lbs, lean.
Personality: Ryo is very much a creature of habit. He has lived for years with a very strict and established routine, which has come to dominate his life. Thus despite being friendly, Ryo has missed out on many friendships and relationships. If something conflicts with his swimming or training, he would try to accommodate it and then eventually have to end it.

He is a very competitive person and is always thinking about how to push himself a little further. This competitiveness is shown in his dedication to sports. He has high standards of himself – and high expectations- however he is also very much a team player. He has been part of his schools swimming and baseball teams, so he enjoys competition and winning together as a team. The sense of comradery and togetherness as a team is what he really enjoys.

Despite all this, he is still a polite, outgoing and enthusiastic person. This does cover some fear of failure and anxiety. He may struggle somewhat when communicating in English, as it would not be as natural as in Japanese. This year abroad is the biggest challenge of his life so far, so he clearly is concerned about having the year wasted in isolation. He has come to America to study at the school, but also to learn about the culture and lifestyle.

Ryo loves to watch and discuss sports, in regard to his knowledge of other aspects of American life and culture (which is a little spottier), his knowledge of sports including soccer, swimming, basketball and baseball is excellent.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual "0" on the Kinsey Scale.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral. (?)
Personal Skills: - Organised and Focused
- Good Swimming skills.
- Good Baseball skills.
- Speaks Japanese fluently, is near fluent in English. Sometimes, he may not recognise a word e.g. leaflet, if it is brought up in conversation, but he would recognise similar words such as pamphlet or flyer.

Personal Vulnerabilities:
Motivation – What was once a joyful part of his childhood (swimming) is quickly becoming more and more serious. Training twice a day, strength and conditioning training and nutrition plans, it is quickly taking its toll. Ryo has seen his sister go through it all and wonders whether he could or should commit to going to the elite.

Fear of Failure - The expectations and pressure is rising as Ryo ages. His parents allowed him to come to the Coastal Daytona Academy for its swimming program and his sister is already a successful swimmer in Japan, so he certainly feels pressure from his family to succeed. After all the time and money they have spent on his education and training, he does not want to let them all down, as he follows in his sister’s footsteps and her shadow.

Outside his comfort zone - Ryo has lived a rather regimented and organised life so far. His meals are prepared for him; his mother was always available to drive him to his training or swimming meet. So aside from living in a new country and all that entails, he will also be enjoying some relative independence at Daytona, where he has to be responsible for himself, instead of relying on others to make decisions for him.

Dyslexic – As Ryo is dyslexic, he would require additional time on any tests or examinations and has additional educational software on his laptop.

Biography:
Ryo was born in Kawasaki, Japan to Kentaro and Sakiko Shimiza in 2000. His father has worked at Toshiba Corporation since graduating from University and his mother has basically raised the children alone. Raised in a traditional middle class family, Ryo and his older sister Kiyoko had a normal childhood. Their father was not around much, but he was working and that was expected. Ryo’s direction in life came when he was seven and Kiyoko was ten. His sister had broken her wrist and the doctor recommended swimming as a method of rehabilitation and exercise.

Kiyoko was immediately spotted by the staff at the pool, as a student with promise. She was invited to the local swimming club. Ryo and his mother were thus frequently at the club. For Ryo it was going swimming with his sister and watching her in the fast lane, progressing, which gave him great motivation to work on his own technique and speed. He was attended many of her races with his mother, as he watched his sister succeed and be praised, he realised he wanted the same. He also wanted to compete with her, but he could never swim as fast, the age gap was too far. At ten he swam in his first race and was quickly hooked. The feeling of improving his time and winning races became as addictive as a drug. It became a point of pride for his parents, especially his father to attend his and Kiyoko’s races, so that has become a source of inspiration for Ryo. Each time he saw his father up in the stands, he knew he must perform well.

At the age of twelve, he entered Keio Futsubu School. It was one of the toughest challenges of his life so far, because of the academic testing. His dyslexia had not been noticed at this point, but with the help of tutors and his father already having attended the school, he was accepted. Ryo found that once he was in the school (and the wider Keio system), he did not need to work so hard on academics. His life was planned for him at this point; he went onto Keio Senior High and will hopefully progress onto the University in good time. Students of the High School, could progress without examination to the University.

His focus on swimming has created close relationships with his mother and sister. When his friends from the school’s Baseball Team were hanging out, he was either watching his sister or attended his own training or meet. Over time, he and Kiyoko grew close and supportive. Their rivalry became healthier and Ryo watched with pride as his sister swam in the 2016 Olympics for Japan in Rio. She qualified to the final of the women’s 400m individual medley. Now she sister is attending Keio University and swimming for the University’s team.

As Ryo’s interest in swimming grew, he began to participate in meets; he has won medals at numerous domestic competitions, the Asian Youth Games, the FINA World Junior Swimming championships and plans to attend the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics Games in Buenos Aires. It was through his High School’s study abroad program that the opportunity to study and train at Coastal Daytona Academy first appeared. His parents encouraged Ryo to apply, after researching the Academy and its fine reputation for academics and athletics. His parents believe that a year in the United States, will improve his English skills and his independence.

RP Sample: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=405698
Other: He is a fan of Ichiro Suzuki. Follows Basketball, Baseball and European Soccer, especially the Champions League (when he cannot sleep before training, he gets to watch part of the games). He enjoys listening to Rhymester and Perfume among other acts. Frequently smells of Chlorine from all his time in the pool.

Name: Janet (Jane) Alissa Barrow
Sex: Female
Gender: Female
Grade: 12th
Role: Student (American Literature, European History,Pre-Calculus, Culinary Arts, Jazz Band (Drummer)Auto Mechanics)
Birthday: Dec/31st/1999
Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana
Appearance:
Image

Height, Weight, and Body Type: 5'5, 116 lbs, slim
Personality: Jane was once described by a friend as a tom boy in disguise. She enjoys many typically girly things, and outwardly appears like an average girly girl. She likes dresses, flowers and makeup, but at the same time has a knack for starting trouble, likes loud gangster rap and punk rock, and loves nothing more than starting a fight. She is also very driven in regards to her dream of becoming a chef, and is pretty indifferent to everything else. As well as this, she is southern to the bone, and takes great pride in her home, and is more than willing to talk anyone's ear off about the South if they give her any indication that they even might be passingly interested. These odd personality traits have led to many viewing her as an odd oxymoron, who it is better to avoid trying to understand.
Sexual Orientation: Strictly Homosexual
Moral Alignment: Chaotic Good
Skills: Self-explanatory
Biography: Janet Alissa Barrow was born in New Orleans to a family of upper class socialites. From a young age Jane found herself feeling bored, and though she loved her parents she thought that their lifestyle was uneventful and unspectacular, no matter how many times they tried to tell her how lucky she was. When she was 10 she became friends with two local twins, the Mariot brothers, and the three of them began looking for any shenanigan they could find. Though she enjoyed her new friends, her parents didn't, and she found that her chances of being reprimanded increased considerably.

When Jane was 15, her parents, having become frustrated with her delinquent behavior, forced her to get a job. Being a new hire with no work experience who had once been arrested for breaking car windows with a bat, the only job Jane could find was as a dishwasher in a shady restaurant. Instead of the punishment they had intended though, Jane's parents had instead introduced her to a passion. Jane quickly fell in love with the professional kitchen, and began to spend as much time as she could there. Eventually she managed to be promoted from dishwasher to prep cook, and from there she decided that she wanted to be a chef. After another year she was helping on the grill, before being enrolled in Coastal Daytona Academy and coming to Daytona.

Corporal Valentin Popov
Callsign: Crossroads 1-6
East Side Italica

Valentin sat hunched over on himself in a short wooden chair. He rested his elbows on his knee's, his rifle between his his legs and his helmet in his hands. He studied three white plastic flowers stuck into his helmet. In Russia, some believed that giving odd numbers flowers to someone was good luck, and so his mother had gifted him three little plastic flowers when he went off to join the military. They were frayed and graying now after three and a half years of trudging through muddy streets and crawling through dusty old buildings, but he kept them anyways. If anything, they reminded him of home. Valentin was a good soldier, and he liked being a soldier, but he missed being with his family. He missed his old school friends, and he often wondered where they were now. Did they know who he was now, and where he was? It was weird to think about, but he found himself questioning that his whole time in the Special Region. They were likely all still living normal lives. Probably interns, and cooks, and librarians, or going to college or traveling the world. And here he was, sitting in a chair in a different dimension, preparing to shoot people who were still living like it was the 11,000s.

Valentin sat up and ran his hand over his short, close cropped black hair. It was a little longer now than it was when he first arrived in the Special Region, cut so short that he was practically bald. Now there was enough hair to cover his scalp at least, but it was still no even enough to run your fingers through, only over. Valentin looked around the room, at the other soldiers around him. They all milled around the room in similar states of rest, drinking water and taking off their helmets, cooling off after their jaunt through the hot muggy air outside. The relative cool of the merchants house was a welcome relief. Valentin breathed in, and could smell the smells of battle in the distance. It was like a barbecue, but mixed with the knowledge that some of what he was smelling was other humans burning, and it became a little less charming. And with the sounds that came with it, it all reminded him uncomfortably so of an epic fantasy movie.

He listened to Captain Fischer, contemplating what the orders could turn into. Valentin stood, and placed his helmet on his head again. He rested his rifle against the chair as he snapped the buckle under his chin again, before picking the gun back up. He walked over to one of the windows, and looked out. The day was almost over, with only the slightest hint of sun poking up from over the buildings of Italica. It cast and orange glow over everything, with long spindly black shadows stretching out over the ground. The courtyard looked almost picturesque, and Valentin thought it looked like it was the kind of place that the local kids would gather in to play games, and where young lovers would come to kiss under the shade, if it weren't for the war going on just bast the city limits.

Corporal Jimmy Barrow
Callsign: Crossroads 2-6
East Side Italica

Jimmy pulled a chair on the floor, its legs grinding on the wood planks beneath it like the groaning of a ship. He made no effort to try and avoid anyone in his way as he moved, and quietly beat boxed (badly) to himself. He saw another soldier looking out the window, a sniper rifle cradled in his arms, and Jimmy placed his hand on the other mans shoulder and shifted him to the left before swinging his chair around and putting it on the floor flat with a solid thump. "Sorry 'bout that," he said the the sniper, and swung his SAW off his shoulder, unclasped the stand, and plopped himself down into the chair deftly before placing the stand of the gun on the window sill and resting its stock on his right leg.

Jimmy looked out the window indifferently, scanning the rooftops and the roads leading into the courtyard with a cold, calculating stare the spoke of a deadly efficiency. He glanced to his left at the sniper once, and saw him still standing there giving him and incredulous look, before he looked back out the window. He watched courtyard for a few more moments, before looking back to his left.

"What?" he said. His voice was a thick southern accent, and had a certain sarcastic, happy go lucky quality to it.

"What was that all about?" said the other soldier. His voice was much more quiet, and he spoke with a thick russian accent. Together, from this short interaction, they instantly stood in sharp contrast with one another. But despite the soft, almost innocent quality to the Russians voice, Jimmy could see in his eyes that he was not so soft as he sounded.

"What was what about?" responded Jimmy.

"I was standing there, and you pushed me out of the way."

"You were in my way," said Jimmy. "What of it?"

"You could have said excuse me or something," responded the other soldier.

Jimmy paused a moment, studying the other man. "Whats your name?" he said.

"Valentin," responded Valentin. "And I know your Jimmy. You talk so much its hard not to know."

"Ha!" said Jimmy, looking back out the window. "I guess I make myself pretty well known," he said. Jimmy looked back out the window and reached into a pocket in his flak jacket. He pulled out a box of Marlboro cigarettes, and stuck one in his mouth before leaving the pack on his left leg. He reached in a second time and pulled out an orange zippo lighter, with 01 carved onto one side and flipped it open, before lighting his cigarette and putting the lighter on his knee.

Valentin crouched down next to him, resting his rifle so that it sat crossed over his legs and looked out the window with Jimmy.

Other: Jane has been playing the drums since she was 9, and is told that she is very good.

Pending has been updated. Reviews coming soon, just waiting for a good time to discuss them with Co-OPs.

If you want your student to be dorming, now is a good time to make your claim. You can reserve a spot for characters who haven't been accepted yet.

I'll take rooms for all three of mine, please. Just don't have 'em room with each other, that's dull.

You got it, updated. Let me know if you have any preferences, and it'll be adjusted appropriately.

Hm, someone pick a number 1-4. Then a letter, A-C.

This ought to be fun. :)

Looks like Daniel Taylor will run into Eleanor Moran. I'm planning to get that post up, as well as any app reviews, tonight.

Also, per the classroom poll, it appears as though the overwhelming majority wants to attempt a classroom scene. However, voting is still open. Another vote will be held, soon after, to determine which subject and grade level if the results remain as they are. We'll carry-over the classroom thread from the last CDA RP.
