Greetings, and welcome to the rebooted incarnation of the Coastal Daytona Academy series! This will be an open-sandbox RP, with your own created-characters driving their individual story-lines, and influencing the greater tale being told -- the saga of Coastal Daytona Academy! The prior incarnation had hit quite a bit of a snag, but we've worked hard to flesh out something special for all of you! Characters are free to wander, to explore the world around them, and to interact with each other with an endless litany of possibilities! There will be moments that will undoubtedly make you laugh, there will be moments that tug on your heart, there will be moments of tragedy, and there will be moments of joy in this roleplay -- and we would love nothing more than for you to be a part of it!

1.) OP word is law. Follow it. Life will be far more easier. I am, along with my Co-OPs, far more enjoyable to deal with than the NS Mods. Shocker, I know, but it's true. Let's not test it out to see.
2.) Post when you can, tell us when you can't. General expectation is set at a minimum of one post per week, though it is presumptive that personal lives can, and will, occasionally interfere with RP-activity. If a player is ever worried about being unable to met the aforementioned quota, for any reason, it is preferable that such a warning is provided prior to sudden inactivity. We will gladly accommodate and work around your schedules. This will not be a particularly rigidly-enforced rule, but we do not want to have lagging conversations between characters spanning over weeks. Please, out of respect for everyone involved, just communicate with us about your situation.
3.) Please put forth a degree of effort in posting. While we are relatively lenient in this regard, and some interactions may invariably consist of a simple one-liners during conversations, it is highly-preferred to keep said one-liners to a minimal. Laziness is a bad habit to develop. You can thank me later.
4.) Respect thy fellow players. Don't act immature and don't be like a jerk. You're not nearly as cool as you think you are when you act like that. Got it? Good.
5.) No perfect characters. Give them a degree of flaw. It's such a boring world when everyone is a bland and perfect Mary-Sue. Spice it up a little. Make things realistic.
6.) Cheat-editing, godmodding, and metagaming are strictly forbidden. Having your character be aware of knowledge that is, frankly, impossible for said character to be aware of in an IC-context, editing posts following a fellow player's posts to contain any reputable damage or harm, or controlling any character's actions or circumstance aside from your own in any way, shape, or form are all strictly forbidden. The only exception to this is if there is an arrangement between the players of two characters, and it is preferable that the OP is informed of said arrangement in order to avoid any misunderstanding, confusion, and/or drama.
7.) Keep OOC and IC-posts separate. There are threads for both for a particular reason, utilize them as such. This is not an anarchy.
8.) Keep roleplay PG-13. If you are wondering if you are crossing a line, it is best to ask in the OOC first. There are rules to posting on NSForums and Telegraming alike. Follow them, you dastardly cretins.
9.) Abide by your character application. While some variance between application and roleplaying is to be expected, to accommodate ones' own RPing skills and tendencies, anything too out-of-character will likely be retconned.
10.) Abide by your character commits. While there is no character-limit, whoever you create will be yours to control throughout the RP. Please do not attempt to ditch them.

There has been a tendency to use celebrities as models for their characters, which is perfectly fine, but there has to be a limit to their usage and prevalence in this roleplay. For now, I'm setting a tentative, flexible limit of no more than three celebrity pictures to use per player. I highly encourage the usage of relatively normal/average-looking people, and there is such a massive abundance of them. I will be more than happy to assist you if you require it, for any reason.

This is where we will summarize everything that has happened for newcomers, potential applicants, and players who are returning after a bit of a break!

- Wednesday, August 16th, 2017
First day of school! Everyone had arrived, spent some time getting oriented with the campus and attended a morning school assembly in the gymnasium prior to lunch. After listening to the infamously monotonous, albeit genuine, Principal Smith speak, watching a cheer routine intended to motivate ahead of the year, and ending with a motivational speech of-sorts given by Coach Carl Taylor of the Coastal Daytona Bravehearts Football team, the students went off to lunch where there are tables for a bake sale and for homecoming court nominations in the cafeteria. Other students are spread out throughout the campus, hanging out, and otherwise getting antiquated with each other.

Afterward, a small group had decided to head out to the Daytona Beach Boardwalk, some interactions were on the friendly-side (Sydney Taylor, Suzzanah Waters, and Heather Waycliffe) others on the amorous between certain individuals (namely, Sophia Taylor and Eric Stevens, as well as Jessica Deckard and Ryan Weber). The evening went on without much of a hitch, and friendships had begun to, hopefully, blossom as a result.

With the creation of a classroom thread, we have held a History Class that was open for players of junior-grade-level characters. We are currently in the process of ending the classroom scene, and are currently considering options for another such setting.

In grandiose fashion, and in accordance with unofficial tradition, one of the seniors is hosting a party that weekend after school had begun. Madison Perkins is presently opening her mansion up for the celebration. Following a brief, rather inconsequential, game of beer-pong, a fist-fight had erupted between a pair of football-players, dominating much of the attention of many party-goers. Yet, things have quieted down since, and the party still rages on. (Current in the Special-Events Thread)

Personality: Shannon is generally quite cheery and nice, especially for someone who's only just started at a new school. Sometimes she'll stutter or repeat a word, or seem a bit nervous, but that's really only to be expected from someone in her situation, surrounded by strangers, isn't it? She's a bit of a geek, though she doesn't show it openly, and a music lover, but if one examines her interests more closely, they'd find she has a bit of a taste for the morbid and creepy, making an interesting contrast to her outward 'cute and happy' appearance.

Moral Alignment: Neutral Good (Lawful)
Personal Skills: Shannon's talent lies in music and art--she has a lovely singing voice and plays piano well, and is an excellent sketch artist. She's quick and agile, though neither of those traits are developed to their full potential. And she's good at making friends, due to her bright personality... even if she can scare them a little. And she's a good cook.
Personal Vulnerabilities: She seems to be easily distracted, and has a hard time focusing on one thing for more than a little while--probably one of the main reasons that her grades are only so-so, rather than truly good. Additionally, she has an exaggerated (and sometimes even violent) startle response, which can be troublesome in otherwise-innocent situations. Occasionally, she'll have episodes of suspicion and paranoia, which can be set off by the smallest of things.
Biography: Shannon's past is... very fuzzy. In fact, if one were to search for information on her, it would start in the previous summer, and no sooner. Due to this, it appears as if there are no records of her at all before the summer of 2017, which is a bit odd, don't you think? Anyone asking questions will almost always be met with suspicious glances and noncommittal answers, usually with a decent amount of stuttering and repetition thrown in... Something's definitely up with that one. But what?

Personality: Somewhat of a delinquent and most certainly a tomboy, as far as anyone knows, Ryan does her best to keep her reputation alive and is generally rather likable due to her cheerful personality and athletic prowess. What most people aren't aware of is what lies under her outward actions--Ryan has her girly side as well, although she doesn't allow anyone to see it. After all, she has a reputation to uphold, and her hidden interests don't exactly enhance it.
Sexual Orientation: 6
Moral Alignment: True Neutral (Good)
Personal Skills: Ryan is a skilled athlete, with excellent speed, strength, hand-eye coordination--you name it, she can excel in it. It's a point of personal pride for her that she rarely loses in a physical contest. She also has a keen eye for fashion and is quite good with art.
Personal Vulnerabilities: With surprisingly low self-esteem for one who is generally well-liked, Ryan is far too easily upset by her own failures. On top of that, she has a sharp tongue and is quick to snap back if she feels disparaged, which can easily get her into trouble, and she struggles academically, to the point that she often doesn't bother to complete assignments out of fear that she'll fail.
Biography: Ryan's life has been somewhat difficult, a fact which she does her best to hide from others. Her mother died giving birth to her, leaving Ryan with only a father to raise her--the main thing which shaped her life. Her father meant well, but didn't know how to raise a daughter, so that Ryan was only able to indulge her more feminine side alone, quickly growing to feel ashamed of it when she saw how positively others responded to her outwardly tomboyish appearance, believing that, if they liked the tomboyish Ryan, they wouldn't like the girly Ryan at all. She also grew to believe that her father would have been happier if she had been a boy, and did her best to be what she thought he wanted. It's due to that that her life was devoted to sports and her more feminine side repressed, hidden from everyone out of shame. This is also the reason for her low self-esteem, as she considers herself a failure to her father if she can't be what she thinks he wants her to be, when the truth is that he wants her to be herself but doesn't know how to tell her that.

It's due to this hyperfocusing on what she believes he wants, combined with general learning difficulties, that her grades have suffered. In short, had Ryan's mother survived, her life would most likely have been radically different, but as it is, we can only know what we are able to see; that is, the present, under the current and true circumstances.

Personality: Eleanor acts somewhat aloof and tends to distance herself from others. Besides just being antisocial, however, she really does seem to be too busy--she's never seen relaxing, and is usually found doing schoolwork or studying... something. Another notable thing about her is that she can often be found pacing back and forth as if trapped in a box, muttering urgently to herself and moving away whenever someone gets close enough to overhear. The last of her most obvious idiosyncrasies are the two ornaments she always wears in her hair. There must be some significance to them, considering that she's never been seen without them, but what exactly that significance is is unknown.
Sexual Orientation: X
Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral (Good)
Personal Skills: Academic excellence is something that has always been attributed to Eleanor, which is hardly surprising considering that she seems to spend every minute of the day working or studying. When approached by another person, she seems to speak with perfect politeness as well, suggesting skills in etiquette, though she is distant and can't be called 'friendly' by any real stretch of the imagination. Skilled martial artist, though not athletic in any other way.
Personal Vulnerabilities: Well, she does work too much.

The more time that passes, the more she wears herself down, over and over and over again with no relief. On top of that, there's what seems to be a lack of any real interpersonal skills. Her hair ornaments seem to be another vulnerability, and she appears to be sensitive about them. She's rather judgmental, of both others and herself, and holds everyone to ridiculously high standards, to the point that it would be close to impossible to measure up. Yet her standards for herself seem to be even higher, leading her to push herself constantly in order to reach them. This is exhausting and frustrating, which only makes her push herself harder in hope of relief, and feel even worse when she inevitably fails. It's a never-ending cycle. In short, she's very, very stressed out, and worn almost to the breaking point.
Biography: Eleanor spent much of her childhood in London, and was enrolled in a private school for several years before an undisclosed incident led her family to hurriedly remove her from said institution, at which point she was sent to a boarding school in Connecticut for another few years. During this time, she was reported to be psychologically unstable, and anyone who knew her at the time would easily be able to report this as the truth. Whatever it was that was bothering her, it drove her closer and closer to the edge, until she finally cracked. A violent outburst ended in three other students being seriously injured, and led to her being expelled from the school and placed into therapy for a good while. After transferring to CDA, she became withdrawn and studious, seeming to have completely changed from the unstable girl who had left Connecticut. However, since it's still not entirely clear what caused her breakdown in the first place, it's entirely possible that she may have another outburst, especially with the pressure she seems to put on herself. Time will tell.

For returning-players, you may notice a minor difference in the new application. "Vulnerabilities/Flaws" has been intentionally taken out.

The idea is to just simply make their personality more well-rounded and defined. Roll-over characters do not have to have their applications edited, however, in order to compensate for this change.

Personality: Madison is a wealthy, aloof, and condescending girl who frequently flaunts her expensive designer clothing and state-of-the-art electronics while also being quite the emotional mess. The arrogant, snobby Madison has been known for being a source of tremendous gossip, drama, and bullying -- though, at the same time, there is much more to her than what meets the eye. Madison privately struggles with extreme insecurity, and believes that she has to overcompensate (through the aforementioned ways) in order to make the most out of her high school years, and to just simply "fit-in" at Coastal Daytona Academy. This is all in spite of the fact that Madison is a hardworking student with a plethora of suitors. Madison has prodigious aspirations, especially for life after high school, and has extensive involvement with numerous extracurricular activities. Despite the outward appearance as such, for many, Madison isn't actually a total bitch, and she could end up turning into a great friend (and an better person) with the right guidance through this stage of her life. Thus, it shouldn't be much of a surprise that Madison has developed quite the mixed reputation as likeable for some and nefarious for others. Yet, she has very few genuine friends, and the people she is around seem to only continue to feed into her cycle of behavior and false projection of ego.

Personal Skills: Madison has a way in manipulation of others' emotions. Madison is also a spectacular athlete, being on both the volleyball and cheerleading teams, and has developed an extraordinary work-ethic. Madison is also a skilled artist, having grown up in an artist's household, and can even combine her proficiency in technology, editing software, and overall photography to create stunning images.
Biography: Madison, having grown up in an affluent family in Honolulu, had a relatively easy early childhood and always had a close relationship with her family. Her mother was a professional artist, and a mildly-successful author, who has recently taken to the role of housewife while her father was (and still is) the owner of a very successful manufacturing business that specializes in industrial-grade laundry equipment, such as washing machines and dryers. In 2004, Perkins Manufacturing decided to set up another manufacturing facility in Fresno, California to service orders from the west-coast; and In 2006, another was opened in Daytona, Florida to service orders along the east-coast while the Honolulu location scaled down to become a hub of exports for international business and specialty orders. The Perkins family had decided to move, in 2007, to Daytona from Honolulu to capitalize on the cheap housing market due to the Great Recession. The gamble eventually paid off, and business boomed once more in the aftermath of the Great Recession. However, tragedy would strike the Perkins household in 2011 when Madison's mother succumbed to a sudden devastating stroke in her sleep. Madison was particularly affected by the sudden death of her mother, and quickly spiraled into a cycle of destructive behavior that continues to manifest itself to this day. Madison's father would re-marry in 2014, and while she despised her strict step-mother -- Madison grew surprisingly close to her new step-sister, having never had a sibling before in her life up to this point, and had become best friends with a daughter of a maid who cleaned the Perkins family mansion.

After this, Siam was made to live with his Father in Seattle, something his father resented deeply, leading to neglect. Because of these experiences, Siam learned how to fend for himself very quickly, becoming masterful in both the art of the deal and the art of the steal. At age 14, his father came into money due to a successful venture into real estate, allowing him to experience life for the first time in the Middle class. At age 17, as a somewhat problematic student due to his willingness to engage in reckless behavior, Siam was expelled from his school in the city, leaving his predominantly absentee father furious. Searching for a solution, his dad ultimately decided on a private school on the other end of the country, CDA to be exact, for him to ship his son off to for his last year of high school. Thus, Siam Wilkerson is now a proud (not really) attendee of Coastal Daytona High.

We'll see what happens, I guess. I may app as the Vice-Principal and/or the Assistant Principal of Disciplinary Action (the former handles general administration tasks and speaks with the Principal on issues brought up by the Assistant Principals; the latter is in charge of overseeing punishments given out by teachers and/or reviewing student records to determine a proper punishment for them; at least, that's how it was in my school district) if they remain available for long enough for me to app.

Sounds good. Note that there are a ton of character apps that have yet to be posted between Flatt, Vaq, Corri, and myself -- but none of which would appear to conflict with your interest, if my recollection is correct on the matter.

Personality: Agatha has a mischievous personality. She just likes to sneak around and get up to no good, breaking into restricted areas, breaking curfew, and such like that. Has a dislike for authority, but not as much as others can have. As her personality goes, she's obviously a bit avoidant of people, and tries to shrug people off when they show any remote sign of interest in her. But she seems to be a decent person to be around once you crack through that shell of hers. Seems to be disconnected from her family, which seems to weigh on her more than she admits. Leans towards dark tendencies when it comes to decisions, and seems to get an enjoyment out of it, which she usually questions herself about later in the same day. This is the brunt of her personality, anyway.

Personal Vulnerabilities: Seems to have little purpose in her life, making her seemingly move through life aimlessly with no real long term purpose or goal. Can on occasion be unnecessarily rude, which seems to be out of bad habits of her pushing people away and all that. Seeming a little disturbed in the head, mostly in her thought processes and the kinds of areas it wanders into. Doubts herself a lot because of this. Little interest in anything in general. Biography: Agatha pretty much came here because she wanted to. Her parents didn't understand her, or that was at least how she tended to feel, where she just didn't fit in at all and she felt like she was distant from them every time she was around them. She had become a bit of a rebellious teenager. Her and her brother don't particularly get along, either, but that seems to mostly be because she thinks her brothers stupid and half brain dead. Not to mention that in the last few years, her brain has gone a little crazy. A few years ago she was thought of as kind and sweet, but now that might not be a way you would describe her. She wasn't bad so much as just...Troubled? Most likely she just got an unfortunate hormonal issue that has made her a little crazy as of late. She seems to push herself away from people period, keeping to herself a lot, but for anyone who payed attention, you could tell that she most likely did in fact need friends, and would probably benefit from having them despite what she thinks. But still, she keeps to herself, inside of her own crazy mind. Which may not be a good thing with how her mind goes about things...

Originally Agatha and her family came from the city of Chicago, so she was used to the cold. But they had decided to move away from Chicago to Florida, which was a completely different environment for her to get used to. Learning that there was a boarding school there, she decided to use it as an opportunity to get away from her parents that she was becoming increasingly detached from, and against her own parents wishes, ended up going there. They reluctantly let her, and paid for it of course, her winning in the end, or they were pushovers and let her win anyway. Now she will reside at the school for the year (And she hopes, her entire high school years, so she can move out and get away from her parents completely after high school). And she was also interested in the adventure of being in a new state.

No worries. I'll reserve the Disciplinarian position for you, at least for you to get an idea as to how your schedule will work and how fast of a pace this RP will be. I would certainly recommend at least starting as a student, at least from the start.

I can see the Assistant Principal of Disciplinary Action less of something that might be used as often as, say, VP, so if you're worried about time and still want some faculty, they seem like the best pick of the two.

Biography: Yusuf was born on the 23rd September in Seattle, Washington to Osman Erkan a Turkish businessman and Andrea Ivesen, an American interior designer. He grew up in a peaceful neighbourhood outside Seattle surrounded by nature where he lived with his parents, three siblings (Leila, Mehmet and Melanie) and his paternal grandparents. His father works as a manager for a successful multinational technology firm in the city. As a result, he never saw his father half as much as he would have liked growing up and remained distant from him. On the other hand he became close to his mother, a Maine native who had been living in Seattle for two years before his birth. Growing up in a household with his paternal grandparents allowed Yusuf to learn about his Turkish cultural roots all the while being influenced by the American culture around him. While neither of his parents are particularly religious he was introduced to Islam from a young age by his grandparents, and would observe Eid and Ramadan. As for his brother and sisters, Yusuf was in the middle and definitely the most different. His mother continued her design company, around this time being able to expand into a larger market by means of an online site, while his father also was met with a great increase in business opportunities. Throughout middle school, Yusuf fell victim to teasing and exclusion. At this time he didn't have any close friends and most of his time was spent alone. Always a keen reader, Yusuf would spend long hours every day in his bedroom reading or learning to play the violin, and soon continued on to the piano.
Over the last year and a half Yusuf's parents, or to be more specific, his father began putting excess pressure on him, expecting him to perform as excellently as his sister Leila who was studying in Harvard. Yusuf knew that he was bright, but nevertheless felt somewhat frustrated that his parents expected him to follow his sister without so much as pausing to ask what he wanted. Osman actively disregarded his son's musical and literary abilities. As a result, he began to branch away finding friendship with two other teenagers who too had fragile relationships with their families. More and more of his time was spent on the streets or in the city at libraries or theatres (his two favourite places). Coming out proved to be yet another negative experience, while his mother and younger sister quietly accepted it, the rest of his family had more difficulty understanding his sexuality. Yusuf's grandmother went as far as refusing to speak to him, insisting he would change and was sick. His homosexuality has since become an elephant in the room of sorts, not something anyone was willing to address. He routinely refused to conform to that idealistic vision his father demanded of him. While this was happening, further cracks were appearing under the surface in the Erkan household. Andrea and Osman's marriage had been faltering for some time at this stage, albeit from different issues on either side. In fact the only reason they were still together was because neither would confess their feelings and were spending more and more time apart at their respective work places. The only ease came in the early part of the summer when Yusuf's father was required to return to Istanbul in Turkey for his nephew's wedding, an event the rest of the family were unable to attend. On top of that, his sister Leila was visiting home less and less because she was too busy, an excuse no one actually bought, but pretended to believe. Once home from Turkey, Yusuf's father insisted it would be the best for Yusuf to transfer to school in Daytona of all places, far from everyone he knew and would return home during holidays. The decision went ahead despite initial protests from Andrea. The main motivation for the action was to keep Yusuf "out of trouble". Even though he would prefer to remain in Washington, Yusuf eventually came around to the idea of switching schools, if simply just to get away from everything.
RP Sample:

Arman Khachatryan wiped the sweat off his forehead with his sleeve, the restaurant he worked in was at the moment busy. Very busy. This was probably aided by the fact that the torrential rain battered the windows facing the street like millions of gunshots and thus soaking everyone who was for some reason, still outside. The restaurant was popular anyway and the food it served was excellent but it still felt unusually full. Therefore the kitchen was being bombarded with order after order from new customers, luckily Arman and the other chefs understood and respected each other and so worked together in sync like a well oiled machine. That was fortunate, because had that not been the case then it would have been utter chaos at moments like this.

He added finishing perfection to one of the restaurants most advertised dishes before it was taking out by a waitress to be served. "Break time...at last,", Arman thought sighing and walking out of the way of the others. He was due a twenty minute break after such a demanding shift. Moving outside to the back of the restaurant under the shelter to smoke, he was very quickly made retreat indoors or risk being transformed into a sponge, solemnly blowing out a final cloud of smoke before closing the door and going back inside.

That rain was truly evil. It was definitely a better idea to go into the restaurant to make sure the door servers were handling everything smoothly. As it turns out, they were the flow of customers had halted (or rather slowed down) significantly. Thank god. "Is everything okay down here?", Arman asked one of them, while simultaneously staring at the water droplets streaming down the glass on the door. The young man whose name according to the tag on his uniform was Bruno, looked at him replying, "Couldn't be better actually, no ones turned up for ages!". His colleague, a woman called Anthea with shoulder length dark brown hair wasn't so cheerful about it. "Give it a while, sooner or later we'll be hit by another wave", she insisted. Either way, anybody who did arrive would have to go search for somewhere else. The dining room was full.

Just as he was preparing to head back into the kitchen so some other chef could take their break he heard it them. All eight of them. The bells, ringing loudly through the darkness, their otherwise clear sound muffled only very slightly by the thundery rain. Stopping in his tracks Arman turned around slowly to face Bruno and Anthea to share a grim look. This was serious. So much for not getting wet. "Alright then, what could possibly be going on that we get called out in this!?", he groaned nodding to the rain. "We better just go before it gets any worse", Anthea said sullenly proceeding to go and collect her coat, followed by the other two as the diners also had gotten up to leave for the town square.

The restaurant was very much central to the square so it didn't take that long to get there, on his way however Arman rather unceremoniously knocked into quite a few people, but that was hardly his fault there were a lot of people after all. Six apologies later he took one of the rare available spaces of the square before the podium where they would all soon find out just why there were here.

Vasu shivered in the cold dampness that surrounded him. He was not used to this climate. He quickly proceeded to pull his scarf further over his head to shield his face from the upside down tsunami as he walked on watching the dirty streets below his feet gradually transform into even filthier streams as he grew closer. He deeply regretted not investing in sturdier footwear, it may have made navigating the mess that bit more bearable. How much more bearable human waste and whatever other foul substances formed the sludge could be was a question he had no intent on ever dwelling on however. There were more important things at stake. Why he left the hostel in such ungodly weather in the first place was yet another question that happened upon his mind. "For air" had been his original excuse, not a convincing one for that matter, but an excuse nonetheless.

He hadn't made it further than two streets away before deciding to return back anyway. Bite'tour was a strange place. It was an ugly conglomeration of grey buildings, grey streets and arguably grey people, rain notwithstanding. Yet strangely, Vasu felt a sense of enjoyment from being in the city. It was exactly the sort of adventure he had been longing for when he left Guryshan all those months ago. Of course there were many more relaxing, tranquil locations he could have been but he was drawn to joining the Black Company as if being pushed by some invisible supernatural force. It wasn't an easy lifestyle by any extension of the imagination but what was ever easy in this world of inequality and uncertainty? It was common knowledge that Bite'tour was a hub for the most unsavoury activities something evident everywhere even if you weren't seeking it out.

Vasu was unusual here. Tourmen were for the most part malnourished, often sickly looking people with gaunt almost transparent skin paired with black hair and violet coloured eyes. Vasu on the other hand was clearly of a much different ethnic background. His hair was also black but that's where similarities came to an end. His skin was brown as where his eyes which were much warmer than their piercing Tourmen counterparts. He was dressed unsuspectingly with a lightweight dark grey overcoat over his beige shirt. Not that either of those would distract from the obvious physical differences between him and the locals. Fortunately he hadn't attracted much negative attention, he was sure he could defend himself if anybody were to pull anything. He kept his dagger carefully concealed should he need it, though he usually would prefer to fight without it.

Within a short time he finally arrived back at the hostel in which the group had been lodging to find the others had already began to gather with the Prince, their leader. Among them was the red haired Seinese, Vinaqa. He knew her from before joining the company, so it was curious they would end up her together. She had been a slave to an elderly relative of Vasu back in Guryshan, a prominent slaveowner in his community. He had freed all of his slaves before his death, bizarre and infuriating to the Ramjakar family who had been so very keen on obtaining the man's property. Naturally tension became strong between the family and the now free slaves, Vinaqa being one of them.

Also present was the ill tempered and bearded yet vital Gollome. Vasu suspected or rather, knew for certain that Gollome probably had an innate dislike for many of them and frankly everybody else too. Whether or not the dislike was one of sympathy was not known. Before Vasu got all the way over to the group outside the hostel, the Tourman suddenly bellowed to the gathering in front of him telling them to head to the gardens all the while offering a brutal yet oddly humouring reminder of what he would do to them should they not do so quickly. Not wanting to be force fed through his rear, the Guryshani too caught up to the group and followed them in the direction of the aforementioned gardens.

Personality: Larry is a certified introvert. He basically talks to no one, preferring to keep to himself and a few extremely close friends, painting or playing music or songwriting. Sometimes, when you talk to him, he'll just be extremely silent the whole time, and then come out of nowhere with a response out of the blue. If you can find him in his reclusive, hiding state. Not only that, he's extremely peaceful, which you wouldn't think of for him being a boxer. It takes a lot to piss him off, but the easiest way to do that is to make nay insult to his parents. Watch out, then.

Larry's also a proud hipster, and takes great joy in going against the mold, and acting and dressing differently. He doesn't try to do it to be cool, he just naturally does it. He's very up to date on current events and the world around him, and takes a hard intrest in economics and politics.

Biography: Lawrence Colbourne was born to two wealthy stockbrokers in Boston, Massachusetts. His parents had a keen sense for numbers, people, and investments, and profited greatly at their profession, having a knack for buying and selling stocks at the perfect time. He lived an upper-class life in the suburbs of Boston, basking in the joy of early life. It was heaven on earth, everything was all set for him. He had your regular terrible-twos and ups and downs, but it was generally fine. Until the cancer diagnosis.

When he was three, he was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer in his left eye. He was developing gluacoma and reddish eyes, and was squinting a lot prior to the diagnosis, so his parents got him checked out. And surprise, surprise, he had retinal cancer. Luckily, the tumor was quickly removed and the rest of him was unaffected. Bad news?

It took his left eye with it.

He was left with one eye intact and an eye patch over the other. This was crushing for Larry, as he saw all the other kids with both eyes, able to see everything and anything, and he was limited to just half of what they had. It also became worse with the other kids' stares and snickers, wondering why that stupid pirate-boy wore an eye patch, how strange! Larry felt like an outcast, and subsequently, became one. He retreated to the gifts and outlets he was given by his parents to cheer him up, to relieve stress, and while some things didn't last, like the goldfish or the telescope, two things did; the guitar and the painting set. He used those day in and day out, drawing and strumming, strumming and drawing, all day and all of the night. They were his world, his recluse, his life.

Things started to become better in middle school, with more mature children who were less questioning and incredulous at the lack of an eye. He started to have a happier time, and he felt a little less of an outcast, a little more free. He started taking up sports, contact ones, like American football, and boxing, his true love. It was as if life was looking up again.

But did you really think so?

In the summer between eighth grade and high school, his parents went on a business trip to Houston. The plane never got there, crashing and killing Larry's parents. Before long, he was being shipped across the country to Daytona, Florida, to live with his grandparents, who he hadn't seen in years. Larry, completely distraught and ruined, became something of a delinquent in the midst of his thick depression, getting into drugs, vandalism, and even street boxing. It was a downward spiral of a ninth grade, with more angst than your average MCR song. It was like a cycle that would never end. Until his grandparents forcefully put a stop to it. He was sent into therapy and detox, and was taught a couple lessons. And, it kind of worked. He started to become more accepting, molding into his new life and abandoning his criminal ways. However, he still remains reclusive and friendless, which could change...

Biography: Born in Jackson, Mississippi to a Pastor and Schoolteacher, Jackson grew up in a household where a man's family and relationship with God came first. Living a relatively normal life until a rather savage beating at the hands of older kids at age 12, Jackson took up boxing as an outlet early on with the encouragement of his father. It was around this time Jackson began to discover his sexuality, something he had been taught was wrong but something he simply refused to see that way. As he grew older, he became not just stronger physically, but unfortunately more jaded emotionally, not feeling that those around him were capable of understanding the predicament he was in, and he remained this way until age 16, when he came out in a snide remark to his mother and father. This was not handled well, and after an uncomfortable conversation about hell and being influenced by Satan, Jackson drove away, returning the next day to find his parents had made arrangements for him to attend a private high school in Florida, so he would be out of their hair.
