Kevin Robinson

As Kevin drove to school, he thought back to the events of this morning. His sister was being a lazy bum, and he had to go wake her up........what, five times? Victoria(Lil Sis/Going to create this character soon) wasn't particularly pressured by their supposed older sibling(Again, will create soon), Johnathan. Now, to be fair, he was a busy guy. He worked for a local warehouse, operating in administration. Then again, he did offer to watch over his younger siblings. It proved to be a challenge during the summer, when they arrived. They typically did a lot of exploring of the town, as well as summer camp for baseball players. After a lot of yelling, a rag tag breakfast, and a forced stop at a local Starbucks, Kevin and Victoria were on their way to the school.

The town itself gave Kevin a strong California vibe. Strange considering he was still in the south, and depending on who you ask, Floridians would swear up and down they were just as southern as any other state. However, it was a nice change. For one, Kevin and his sister have never had easy access to beaches in their life. Being from the middle of Texas does that. Not like Texas is known for it's beaches either, but hey. You can't have everything.

"You sure you know the way to the school?" Victoria asked, looking down at her phone, though still suspicious of her brother. This was her first year of high school, despite being a sophomore. She's also never been to their high school, which means she wouldn't be able to tell if they were on the right path. While Kevin has, Victoria wasn't one to trust her older brother with directions. "Yes, I know the way." he said slightly annoyed, knowing where this was going. "I mean, I want to trust you, but that ti-" causing Kevin's hand to strike out, covering her mouth saying "No, we're not going to find ourselves in a Scientologist parking lot this time." Smiling, she shrugged, saying "Well as long as you're sure." With that, she went back into her "hipster" silence, checking her Social Media.

Eventually they found themselves in the School Parking lot, to which Victoria congratulated her brother on getting them where they wanted to go. "I screw up once, you never let me hear the end of it." Victoria shook her head, saying "Your kids are going to hear about all our fun together." Sighing, Kevin began shooing her away saying "Go find your class, or make friends, or something. Leave me alone." He said, making "Shooing" motions with his hands. "Awww, did I hurt your feelings?" She taunted, to which Kevin replied "You're annoying, now scram Sophomore."

They parted ways, this day being the day they moved into the school's dorms. 'Fun'' he thought to himself as he began walking towards the main lobby. He and Victoria would get their stuff from the car later. Walking in, Kevin wore a Plaque shirt, blue and black in design. He also wore dark blue Jeans, and blow Converse. Matching was sort of his thing.(Or something his mother beat into him.) Getting to the Lobby, he saw Joseph a little while later. Deciding to say his greetings, he moved in from behind, patting his back before moving fully into Joseph's line of view. "Hey man, long time, no see. How are you?"
"Yeah, you're right. You got lucky this time. If there were Dutch people there, you would be facing so many rebels!"

"Yeah. You might be surprised how many people assume you mean D.C when you say 'washington'," Asher said, sounding genuinely confused as to why people just assumed 'washington' meant 'Washington D.C'. Like, if he'd meant D.C, he would have said that. "Florida is definitely different from Washington. No doubt about that," He said, a small chuckle in his voice, and he grinned at her when she said they should get some coffee or something. "I shouldn't drink coffee. But I'll gladly accompany you, regardless."

"Well whatever suits you, what do you say I treat huh? Coffee, tea, soda, water anything." She offered with a smile she did seem to take to him he was the first real person to talk to her since arriving. She along with him found the school cafe taking a seat at an empty table.

"Next time, I'll treat you. Deal?" Asher asked with a bright grin, rolling along on his rollerblades until they reached the school cafe, and he stopped to look at what they had. "I wonder what they have for caffeine free options," He said, mostly to himself, though she'd be able to hear him as he looked at whatever menu there was.

"You got a deal!" she agreed. They looked over the menu for a bit she picked out a simple French Vanilla Coffee for her herself and allowed Asher to pick whatever he pleased. She had enough expenses to cover herself a while and the prices weren't too bad either. Taking a sip of her drink and setting it down "ooh very hot." she giggled of course coffee would be hot "Usually I go for iced coffee but hot isn't bad on occasion. So Asher was it? Asher ended up settling on a simple hot chocolate, and eventually sat down with it, rolling his feet back and forth as he sat. "I don't usually drink besides like, water, milk and juice," He said,"I already have too much energy without the caffeine adding to it." He paused when she asked about him, thinking of what to say. "Well, I like to do sports," He said, rolling his cup between the palms of his hands,"Not ball sports, though. I guess more 'extreme' is the type of sports I enjoy most."

"Aha it's understandable" She nodded when he told her why he didn't drink caffeine it wasn't for everyone but sometimes poor Elly couldn't live without it. "Extreme sports? Interesting, well you came in on skates so you must do that a lot. I wish I could say I was sporty but I'm more into tech because my papa he runs a small electronics company back home. And I like creative writing and history. But I will watch football with friends or family at times"

Mother and daughter stood at baggage claim in the Orlando International Airport. The Laawng residence would be rather empty, though perhaps that would be a nice thing for both Yanna and her daughter to have more separate space. Only time would tell, it seemed.
“Welcome back to America,” Yanna said to her daughter as they went to her car once they’d gotten Luann’s bags, “Remember to speak English after you’ve called your grandparents when we arrive on campus. You’re out of practice.”
I know; I know,” Luann sighed, “I will.”
They both got in, and headed back to Daytona Beach. Knowing her daughter was an introvert and certainly hadn’t enjoyed being seated next to a stranger, and was going to have quite a time as a freshman, Yanna left Luann to play on her phone or whatever it was she was doing.

Finally, they’d arrived at school. With a kiss on the cheek, Yanna sent her daughter off to go find her own way around school, as it was no longer time to carefully guide her daughter, but to let her daughter begin to go out on the training wheels. Her daughter’s papers were in order, and her own lesson plans and classroom were both all but ready for the school year to begin. It wouldn’t hurt to go and see some of the new faces, and maybe triple check on the day’s itinerary. When in doubt, Anthony probably had some idea from his near decade of drifting about, even if he probably didn’t care enough to know the times.
So off to the science department it was, to see if he was somewhere around. The best bet, of course, would be his classroom, so that was where Yanna looked first. Sure enough, he was there.
“Hey there Anthony,” she said, walking in, “I’m not interrupting anything, am I?”

Dylan and William McCoy
Dylan and William arrived to school together, Dylan driving his younger brother to school their first day after they departed from their parents goodbye's. Which were relatively easy, really. Their parents weren't really the overly annoying types about that. Just a goodbye and they move on, nothing more. It wasn't like this was the first time their kids went to school or something, just the first time at this particular school. Still wasn't different enough to be noteworthy.

Once at school, they wouldn't really hang out together for very long. They walked into school together, but beyond that, they would begin to go their separate ways after saying a few things to each other before doing so.

"And here we are" Dylan said, putting his arms out and looking around him. "A new beginning. Bet things will be fun here" He said to his brother, who seemed to have an idea where this was going. "And I'm sure there are plenty of cute girls as well" He chuckled, looking around to see if he spotted anyone in the immediately vicinity. This was exactly what William expected, so he just rolled his eyes heavily. He was used to his brother being a bit of a flirt.

"I'm sure we can find you a girl, too" He added with another chuckle, patting his brother on the back and walking off towards his dorm room. "I'll see you later. Dropping my shit off in my dorm" He told his brother, and then disappeared into the school. Once again, his brother just shook his head and rolled his eyes. He didn't really have any intention of going out of his way to seek girls. He'd rather it just happen naturally. There was no need to specifically try for it. Trying usually meant things wouldn't last. If you let it happen naturally, you'd likely get something better out of it. If nothing happened at all, then oh well, he wasn't worried about it.

Alas, like his brother, he headed off to his dorm to drop his things off.

Landry and Selena West
Landry and Selena arrived to school together, but Selena was driving her there in her typical vehicle that she utilized. Selena was taking Landry now to give her younger sister a tour of the school, before the school day officially started. Because she may as well teach her younger sister how to get around the school that she would be going to daily, and it also saved her from taking the bus later. Of course, passing the time until then was a bit easier said than done. But she could just use her phone, or get to know people after the tour.

Selena would proceed to give Landry a thorough tour of the school, from the dorms, to the lockers, to all the classrooms, and so on and so forth. By the end, she would pretty much know where everything was, if she had enough of a memory to memorize it all on the first day. Which was debatable, but it was a help nonetheless. She was very grateful for her sister giving her the tour, and once that was done, they parted ways for a little while, Selena going to organize her room and Landry wandering about, potentially running across someone to talk to. She would also drop off her things in her school locker as well, which is where she currently was, among the other students doing the same. And Selena was just unpacking.

"Skating is one of my favorite ways to get around. Better than just boring ol' walking," Asher said in a joking tone,"I doubt the school will tolerate me rolling around everywhere for long, though." He listened attentively when she started talking about her dad and the things that she enjoyed. "Tech is cool. And there's definitely nothing wrong with not being sporty. "Nice," Asher said. He had little knowledge about computers or computer hardware. He knew how to use them well, but when it came down to the actual hardware aspect, he was clueless. When she said she'd written a few things, he looked interested. "I obviously won't force you to share anything, but I'd be curious to see what you've written sometime," He said.

She usually was shy about sharing her work but she could find something that would be good enough or maybe something that he'd find fun. She'd have to do some research first. "Sure, I'm sure I can find something for you!"

"I understand some it comes naturally. like Poetry, I can't craft a poem to save my life like some can but plain old prose is fine. Personal experiences are the best to draw from!" She sipped her coffee which had cooled enough to make drinking it easier.

Eric StevensAfter seeing Sydney hide her amusement, Eric let out a sigh and eased up. It was just a prank. He was just glad that Rick hadn’t decide to take it one step further and expose flesh. He gave Sydney a parting fist bump and then finally he and Sophia were alone. Eric managed to let out a light chuckle in response to Sophia “Thankfully all my pink underwear is in the wash.” he then nodded his head in agreement and followed Sophia outside. As much as he enjoyed the fresh air. He had only got to spend a few minutes in air conditioning and even though he was a native, Eric was sick of temperatures over 90 degrees. For Sophia’s question Eric took a second then answered. “Yeah, he’s been great. Getting along with everyone on the team, learning stuff from Kisara, making improvements in the weight room. He’s a great kid,” he paused a second then continued. “There was couple incidents though. The seniors on the team decided it would be a good idea to haze him. One of them was the the time during the summer they took a water jug filled with ice and water then dumped it on him, and when he returned to his locker to change. His clothes were missing.” Eric took a seat on one of the outside benches as he continued his story. “The next time, we were getting our practice gear on. Then you just hear Shawn yell. I walked over to his locker to check on him, all of his practice stuff was bedazzled. Probably one of the cheerleaders, it looked too pretty to be done by one of the guys. Well, I hope it was a cheerleader…”

The School Cafeteria
Madison Perkins and Julia Winters

(AM)

Madison was obviously still very much livid about the entire Eric-ordeal, yet she managed to keep her emotions in-check and internalized as Madison Perkins and Julia Winters set their trays of breakfast food down on the table they had chosen to take. "I mean, for real, what the hell does he see in them anyway?" Madison inquired, while Julia simply ignores her ranting friend and simply takes a bite out of the biscuit she had been provided with alongside her scrambled eggs and a side of fruit. Julia had the urge to say something sharp, and cruel, as a quip toward Madison -- but she knew better than to do anything but to keep her mouth shut. "God, I wish I had taken pictures of them. They're so going to regret even talking to him." Julia closed her eyes, and sighed loud enough for Madison to hear. "And what? Threaten them? C'mon Maddy." Madison crossed her arms, gave Julia an angry stare, and shook her head. "One of them stole him from me. That is a fact. Whichever one she is will pay, dearly." Madison ended with a glare toward the opposite direction, her eyes looking around for a suitable guy to ask out in Eric's stead. Julia, meanwhile, preferred to simply ignore Madison's continued plea to the insane notion of retribution to a pair of innocent girls who simply find themselves associating with the wrong guy, and part of her thinks Madison wouldn't even be so bold to even do such a thing -- but nothing has proven to be a certainty with Madison when she has gotten into one of these furious mood-swings. "Or, should I just focus on making Eric pay?" Madison sarcastically asked aloud, knowing full-well that her persistence on brainstorming ideas was being met with Julia's annoyance. "If you don't shut up and eat, I'll make you pay when I steal your eggs." Julia responded, ending with a grin, only for Sarah to unintentionally stir that up once more. Madison simply looked over toward Julia, who visibly sank in her seat just as she imagined Madison's snarky response. If anyone knew Madison well enough, and the situation at-hand, they would know that the next thing she would say is, likely, a half-truth. Unfortunately, Sarah had no idea as to what happened moments prior -- only an inkling of a feeling, which had proven to be correct. Madison flashed a mischievous grin, as her eyes moved from Julia to Sarah. "Doing the best I can, if I may say so myself, given the... circumstances. I've just learned that some new girl on campus whored herself out, and apparently Eric took that bait." Madison remarked, looking down and simply probing her eggs with her fork as though she had suddenly lost her appetite. Madison then glanced around some more, but then returned her gaze back toward Sarah. "I just... I thought Eric was better than that, ya know? I thought he was above that sort of thing. I guess, well, I was proven wrong." Madison hunched over, for some added dramatic effect, as she twirled her eggs around with her fork. Julia didn't even want to look at Madison, after that display, but she didn't change her neutral facial expression either. After a few lingering seconds following Madison's performance, Julia looked up and forced a friendly smile. "Hey, Sarah. I hope you're doing well." Seconds later, Ryan made his boisterous introduction, and his inquiry. "Yo Ryan, what's up?" Madison responded, her eyes remaining fixed on the eggs in front of her. "And hey Ryan, I hope you're doing well too." Julia remarked, grinning widely, and largely ignoring Madison's antics. "Gosh, so many new people this year." Julia remarked, chuckling, and glancing over at the now-conspiring Madison as she runs through her mental list of boys to ask out to the party with her ahead of the weekend in an act of revenge against her ex-boyfriend. Daniel was out of the question, as Madison actually did value her friendship with Julia, and while Rick was an obvious backup plan -- it might be too obvious. However, Madison kept thinking, her eyes scanning around the cafeteria, and glanced to see Ryan. 'Hmm.' Madison thought to herself, quietly, and inconspicuously, about the wildcard option before her.

The Main Lobby
Sydney Taylor

After being sent away by Sophia, so that her older sister can have a private conversation with Eric, Sydney meandered around the lobby area a bit more, eventually stopping to set down her school bag and to take out some papers she had stuffed inside of it previously. Sydney still needed to walk through the hallways of the massive school, which was far bigger than anything any of the Taylors (save for Daniel, of course) had been exposed to as far as a school was concerned. She looked around, seeing nothing but new faces and an unfamiliar environment, and Sydney already started to feel a bit overwhelmed by everything. 'Everything is going to be alright.' Sydney thought to herself, standing back upright, slugging her school bag back around her shoulders, and then stepping off to the side to stick some earphones in to listen to some relaxing indie music. Indie was always a favorite of Sydney's, particularly soothing and calming guitar-pieces. Sydney spent a few seconds, resting her head against the wall, her eyes closed for a few seconds, and then re-opened them to scan around the lobby again. She then stepped away, making her way over to what she presumed to be the main office, toward someone who she presumed was the ever stressed-out, and busy, receptionist around this time of the year -- yet Sydney decided, ultimately, to just leave her be and to wander around school a bit on her own. Sydney suddenly turned around, bumping into a student who was just walking right behind her. "Oh, sorry! I'm so sorry!" Sydney exclaimed, stepping to the side and out-of-the-way to the rather rude student who gave a flustered and flippant response to the nervous freshman. Sydney's sidestepping wasn't all that much better, either, as she unintentionally found herself bumping into another student, Jordan Evensen, and Sydney's clumsiness ended with her dropping papers all over the lobby floor. "Oh my gosh. So, so sorry!" Sydney exclaimed, slowly bending down to pick up some of the papers she had dropped. "Gosh, you're such a graceless dummy, Sydney..." The girl whispered to herself, audibly enough for any others standing around to be able to hear, as she was gathering her belongings.

Jordan Evensen
Main Lobby

Jordan stood upright wondering where he should go next. He scanned the signs looking around when all of the sudden a girl bumped into his side. His first thought was “hey” but the he realized it wasn’t the best idea to be quick tempered at a time when he had litteraly gotten to this place only hours ago. Instead he exclaimed “No Worries, mate. Nothin’ Personal.” he said. Before bending over to help pick up papers, he couldn’t get a look at her face and decided to ask a question So, uhhh, How long have you gone here?. He stared up to look at the girls head as he awaited a response.

The School Cafeteria
Billie Woods

Every thing she could think of, no matter how hard she pleaded and begged she was out of Mississippi and in Florida. "What a drag," She muttered to herself. "Last couple of years of school and I'm shipped off to a boarding school. It's like some stupid rom-com cliche!" She did get at it with her boyfriend quite a bit, her parents felt maybe they were spending way too much time together and it might lead to well things. What difference did it make, she couldn't afford to go to college or anything, she wasn't gonna waste time and have a huge ton of student debt to crush her under. So she and Jamie (her boyfriend) were planning to pool what income and savings they had and buy a little farm of their own. Sure they would likely have to get a loan to cover more but better to be working than in a classroom full of liberal teachers proclaiming the evils of blue collar types like her.

Speaking of, Billie kind of stuck out like a sore thumb here, she looked like she literally just walked off her family farm here. She wasn't particularly beauty and fashion obsessed in fact she was quite a tomboy. Her current wearing, she didn't see a big deal. Wearing her denim overalls, her hair tied back in a ponytail, wearing a black tube top, it was late summer in the South and now in Florida! And she didn't really have time to unpack and change anything else as long as she didn't show up half-naked it wasn't a big deal. She didn't mind she liked being center of attention and she sure as hell wasn't ashamed of her working class background. It was a race from the airport in Miami to here if she was gonna make it before the official first day of school and she arrived just in time.

"Uuugh god, I just gotta make the best out of it." She grumbled aloud and she looked at her phone she wanted to call up Jamie but she didn't really know what to say right now. Not to mention he was probably already in the fields now working a combine or tractor, not likely he'd hear or feel his phone. She just blasted a text off to him instead. "Finally at school, call me tonight when not busy. Love, Billie." Ending with a few hearts she sent it off. She also sent messages to her folks. Frustrated as she was by her parents sending her here, she still was a little concerned for them, it was August after all. She did pray a little "God, I know I aint been the most upright gal, hey aint my fault you made Jamie such a babe. Uuh anyway we both know what time a year it is, lots of them storms churning out there. Just see my family through whatever. Ya have in the past we all grow closer to you cause of it. Thanks." A bit weird but she also wasn't ashamed of her faith as a Christian. With that done she laid out a book on the table to read. One would think a girl not super interested in school wouldn't care much about reading but even she found solace in a decent book once in a while.

So I just enjoy what other people have to offer, instead. Stories from just...people that you just meet are sometimes the most interesting, too."

"I understand some it comes naturally. like Poetry, I can't craft a poem to save my life like some can but plain old prose is fine. Personal experiences are the best to draw from!" She sipped her coffee which had cooled enough to make drinking it easier.

"Maybe some day I'll write an autobiography," Asher said jokingly, before giving a playful flinch,"Ugh. That would be so boring. Even if my life is exciting and full of good, interesting things. Fantasy is much more interesting." He took a bit sip of his hot chocolate, realizing it was a mistake as it all but burned his tongue.

"I kinda feel the same way about me, not very interesting by myself. I think even telling about living in the Philippines wouldn't carry me very far. I'm pretty ordinary, go to school like everyone else, hang out with friends. About as average as can be. At least you do fun sports." she sipped more of her coffee down "But you're right, fantasy is fun!"

Go find another seat, and ask if you can sit there with them, its that simple!

Don't do that! Sit here and wait for people to come to you!

Two parts of Logan's mind were fighting about what he should do to get friends. After being seated here for several minutes and calmed down, his mind was in a civil war trying to make a decision for him. Looking up from his seat, he decided to look around, deciding which seat to go to. After a few minutes, he spotted a girl sitting alone at a table, reading. Looks like I'm not the only one alone in this place.he thought to himself. So with that, he got up and went over to her table. "Hey, I'm new here, you wanna be friends?"
