Also NUC, I want to check ahead if our nations (mine and Astya) have a bit of a rivalry? Maybe over who should be the top dog of the North?

So for the Manketes, while there hasn't been an app for them [I should probably get on that], they are kind of scattered around for the most part. Most will be around the larger of the Great Lake area, mainly around the "Plains" and the small little passage between the two lakes. Numbers are unknown, though very low, espically in the Southern Areas, if any at all.

As for our nations, the geography of the land divides it into three parts more or less, just like in the "old ages." The Lakes divide the North from south, and the Plains, with mountain ranges on either side, more or less divide the North-West from North-East. So there is a bit of a rivarly between Pluena [the sole power of the south], Astya [The more or less sole power of the North], and then of course whatever your nation ends up as. So kind of a Triangle rivarly, though due to the size of the Eastern part of the continent, its more likely you might end up with secondary rivals as well [Considering another military power appears rather than a mage centric one]

To save us from me looking this up and possibly causing a confusion or misunderstanding, could you explain the concept to me [as I don't know what a "Undine" is]

For purposes of this RP basically just humans with the bloodline of an powerful aquatic being. They can use water magic and have a natural affinity (breathing water, really quick swimmers, etc.) They would probably be small in number or even just a secluded village in one of the coastal nations.

Well considering there is no such thing as water magic, they'd likely have to remain as "Beasts" of some sort. Similar to what I suggested for the Fairies Nuridia had come up with, they would require these a "Beaststone" which is basically just a rare type of stone, to use their powers to attack. Though those passive abilities like being good swimmers, or breathing under water are fine. Thoughts?

Yeah that works. That way they are different from humans, and also have a working power. Now what would they transform into?

That's up to you. Maybe mermaid type creature, though they'd kind of be really weak on land...

EDIT: Well, one of the things I suggested to Nuridia was that they are constantly in the same form, but require the stones to actually use their powers, rather than transform

All right, back from my two days' hiatus.

So, when you chose to eliminate bloodline in favor of race, what do you mean by that specifically? How are we supposed to highlight a specific family or faction within the empires we create?
I didn't want to create an entirely separate race for the practical equivalent of Skullgirls' Medici family, for example.

I will have my application for the stagnant nation very shortly.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

The bloodline app really didn't feel right to me, so in order to fix it, when the Character App comes out it will have a section for additional information where you can include information about the bloodline. So if you want to create a bloodline you can included it there when you make the character

Look forward to reviewing the app.

All right, then. I think that I'll then abandon the two bloodlines and think of a new race instead. They were too unoriginal, anyway, and I think I have better ideas.

Nation Name: Duchy of Selakia
Shortened Name: Selakia
Informal Name: Two Shores
Type of Government: Rigid absolute monarchy
Head of Government: Duke Kelin Aregalia
Flag:
Coat of Arms: Borrowing this from a friend's family...
Territory: The territory between Pluena and Kovraiya
Population: 16,807
Military Size: 1,000
History: Selakia used to be a province of the Acraine Empire, and, like her sister Pluena, achieved full independence after the death of the royal family. For thousands of years prior to the collapse, the House Aregalia had command of some of the most powerful dragons, and could manipulate them to their whim with powerful, specialized manipulation magic. They studied for centuries on how to best perfect their magic yet only managed to perfect it when it was too late. While a few notably brave Selakians used this opportunity to fight back the dragons, the royal family and most of the populace were far too taken aback to be of any use. They retreated from the political landscape, too scared to lose power yet in denial of the power they already lost. From then on, Selakia became an isolationist faction, to focused on their books of magic to view the world around them. In times of trouble, their magical prowess was unparalled and could save them from any danger; why change?

Thus for centuries the Selakian people endured, practically addicted to magic and never addicted to their technology. They were fairly effective at manipulating lesser creatures such as cattle or geese, but none of them could make them the same feared faction as before. The little architecture that was built in this new age remained strictly medieval, and the Selakian people remained blissfully unaware of the new strides in science and mathematics in their neighbors on both sides. They opened their borders only when the merchants of Kovraiya forced them open in order to open new routes to the inland markets. Still, they watch all foreign movement with a close eye, and they adopted a distrust, hatred, and possibly even envy of the Kovraiyans. Who were they to order the great Aregalia Dynasty, these common nomads-become-a-kingdom? They could neither trace their lineage nor eat in a proper manner! They knew relatively nothing of magic; they weren't even interested! How dare they; curse them! And so Selakia endured. The old world must return to teach the new world a lesson.
Additional Information:Selakia has two capitals: one for the royal family on the lake side, and one for administration on the sea side.

Also, how would you define an "organization"? That could be practically anything. Are you thinking a small business, a guild, or an order, or a political faction? What scale are we talking about?

Regardless, here is the religion of Kovraiya.

(Delete everything in paranthesis)
Religion Name: The Seven Truths
Idenifying Symbols: Heptagon, the Vr'broia sign (two diagonal and two horizontal lines crossing three vertical lines)
Leader: None, technically, but Vrabriya [Vera Abigail] Aroibraryi [of the Three Great Fires] is a foremost scholar on the subject
Number of Members: 20,736
Belifies | Goal(s): Behold, the Seven Truths:
  • Truth will prevail wherever it is seen.
  • The skies and the earth will unite.
  • There is good and evil throughout the land, in every mortal.
  • Darkness is imbalance.
  • Debt must be paid in blood (some texts say "destruction" or "like destruction" instead of "blood").
  • Sludge is thrown in the infinite well.
  • No man can escape death on his own.
Short History: To say that the Seven Truths is a religion is perhaps a misnomer. Rather, the followers of the Seven Truths are... waiting for a religion. Centuries ago, a man from each of the seven tribes received a clear distinct message in a dream, on the same night. They couldn't help but share their vivid statements, and the merchants carried the Truths far and wide. A generation later, the sons and daughters of the dreamers came together to discuss the fate of what had now gripped thousands in curiosity. They wisely decided that these Seven Truths were far beyond their understanding, and so they proclaimed that, until a definite answer was procured, any interpretation could be legitimate. Rest assured, there was undoubtedly a sure solution, but they neither knew nor could know yet, so they chose to keep their options open.

Thus the Seven Truths were spread, keeping tens of thousands in anticipation yet giving each a life statement and a purpose. Whenever a merchant would wander into a village, she would ask the villagers there what they thought of the Seven Truths. It was one great Riddle, which even people outside the faith can participate. The only people the faith considers "heathens" are those who either have learned yet never considered the Truths or have disregarded the Truths as irrelevant or pointless. If you have an answer, or are simply patiently waiting, you belong to the faith, and the faith will embrace you. We are all embarking on the journey of Enlightenment, and the Seven Truths will guide us!

(Delete everything in paranthesis)
Race Name: Voro Eyev'r (literally, the magic-fearers, OOC-wise the "Magic-Amish")
Age Range: 64-81
Physical Appearence:
Abilities | Powers: Logic, Mechanics, Powerful Magic
Weaknesses: They are unable to control the magic they unleash, and they are unable to make subtle or magic at any level less than their individual maximums.
Additional Traits: They are slightly above average height and have skin with the texture of a hard-boiled egg.
Short History: The Voro Eyev'r can trace their origins back to the dawn of time, and even back then they were scared to use their magic. Legends tell cautionary tales of individuals throughout history who were a tad too curious and unleashed their magic, only to cause world-shattering events or to wipe out entire tribes or nations. As a result, the Eyev'r never learned how to control their magic but rather did all that they could to suppress it, for fear that one misstep on their part would kill the entire tribe. They live in secluded communities in the biomes where most humans could but prefer not to dwell, and they instead focus on building machinery and studying logic to do what only magic-users can do. When one of them do venture out, they take great pains to avoid magic items and particularly contagious magicians. The world is full of dangers, but the biggest is the one inside of them.

Well, what's the alternative? A tech nation? Those wouldn't come around until the Industrial Revolution, and we haven't gotten to that age yet.

Regardless, I'll make sure to tone down the magic elements, especially since everything they have is outdated, and instead focus on the stagnation they have. Perhaps a Transylvania vibe, since you suggested Dark Magic? Don't worry, though; no human-controlling.

Nation Name: The Free Zizadal Republic
Shortened Name: Zizadal Republic
Informal Name: Zizadal
Type of Government: Magocentric Democracy
Head of Government: The Magi Council, headed by Archwizard Chammah Zephyr
Flag: (the center one): https://www.videogamesartwork.com/sites ... _flags.jpg

Coat of Arms: http://wandw.wikidot.com/avery-family
Capital: Redama
Territory: (red circle): https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/or ... 359d58.jpg
Population: 27, 000
Military Size: 7,000
History: Long ago, two kingdoms of Astalia who were always on the map were the realm of Aldrnari and the icy empire of Snjárveld who have been rivals for centuries, having on and off wars with only tentative peaces in between. Eventually though the rulers grew tired of war and decided to make an official peace treaty so that their kingdoms and peoples could be preserved. The Aldrnari kingdom is a mostly peaceful and happy place, but it shares the same problem with their enemy, the hatred of witches and wizards. Despite the dangers that this land has faced for the longest time, it's the arcane magic users they fear. Witches and wizards, secretive communities of humans that were gifted with extraordinary powers and were steeped in the arcane were respected by some societies, but feared by most including the fire and ice kingdoms and were often discriminated against, sometimes killed. It wasn't always this way, the people of Aldnari and Snjarveld used to live in harmony...until a mage murdered the son of the Aldnari queen, and that's when this began.
The wizards were chased to the fringes of society and lived in constant terror, children were taught to hide their powers or face judgement, the only ones safe were the court mages, healers and their families but even they weren't completely exempt from the mistrust of most of the public.

One day a young and brilliant wizard named Piers Zizadal, who was court mage to the Aldnari king, had enough. He implored his king to see reason, to pass laws protecting his kind, to teach tolerance but the king had always refused, fearing to lose the love and respect of his people. Enraged, Piers undertook a dangerous task, running away. With his family and a group of other mages, he prepared for months and then under the cover of night the group fled the borders of their kingdom. Piers didn't know where they would go but he knew he had to get away from there. After weeks of wandering the young wizard was starting to lose hope until one night a red trail blazed across the dark sky. He and his tired group followed it where it guided them night after night until it came to a large northern isle, the island of Alba, and then deeper inside the island until it came to a wide valley. Piers decided to follow the sign and found a village here. The Village, called Zizadal after its founder became a safe haven for the magically inclined where they could be free from persecution and live their lives in peace. Over time, this village grew into a small but strong republic, which founded its principles on democracy and making sure everyone had an equal voice.
Additional Information: Miss Zephyr is only the second female Archwizard in the history of the country's founding, she got the post due to her reputation as a war hero.

Most Dragons are in a Mankete form, only to be found in the mountains around the "Plains" and select other areas. As for other flying units, they still exist. A lot of the larger nations probably use Pegasus Flyers/Knights in some form or another. And Evil nations like Pluena might have some Wyvern Riders/Knights, though they'd be rarer and elite units. There's also a thing called "Giffons" but we're going to say those don't exist

I would recommend Copy/pasting the current map onto Google Images, superimposing the territory you want, and then posting the share link in the forum. I found that to be the fastest way.

I personally reccomend Pixlr as it's what I use, and I upload it to Imgur as well. But whatever you have to do to get the image is fine

So, we have four independent choices for newcomers. Always good to know!

I hail from The League of Conservative Nations. Hearts unthawed, hearts unshaken!

Takaka Tar' Turayi,
The stars will be ours someday.

Independent? What do you mean by that? I count seven nations, nine if we count Valyria's and Nuridia's [When they get accept of course]. Ten if Kracia ever fixes their app's population

Nation Name: The Free Zizadal Republic
Shortened Name: Zizadal Republic
Informal Name: Zizadal
Type of Government: Magocentric Democracy
Head of Government: The Magi Council, headed by Archwizard Chammah Zephyr
Flag: (the center one): https://www.videogamesartwork.com/sites ... _flags.jpg

Coat of Arms: http://wandw.wikidot.com/avery-family
Capital: Redama
Territory: (red circle): https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/or ... 359d58.jpg
Population: 17, 000
Military Size: 3,000

He and his tired group followed it where it guided them night after night until it came to the region of Alba, and then deeper inside the island until it came to a wide valley.

I’m the Republic of Kraicia, a theocratic Caucasus-based country. I also roleplay as Kraicia, an equally theocratic, albeit Future Tech, nation. I do not represent the Orthodox Church or any form of Caucasus nationalism.
