The coalition was against Sarawakan Independence, not against ESPO. China and Thailand are pretty good allies in real life.

Well on one side you had the coalition and on the other the two big bois of ESPO.

That doesn't mean it was against ESPO. Sarawakan Independence sets a dangerous precedence for SEA, it makes sense they would be opposed. Saying, however, "going with China is dumb" completely ignores SEA foreign policy.

History

The Crown Jewel of Southeast asia/ China of the Southeast

Indonesia, the archipelago of a thousand cultures. Over 350 years, Indonesia were ruled by the Kingdom of the netherlands, through hardships and sorrow they eventually became independent in 17th august 1945. After it's independence it still faced some problems, they opposed the creation of the malaya federation, and they crushed several rebellions from islamists, seperatist, and etc. Not only that, over the course of the 20th century and the cold war it was ruled by the authoritarian suharto, although his methods seem questionable. He managed to create the bases of modern indonesia, and the bases of modern ASEAN. While Indonesia has become one of the major players on the Asian stage in only a few decades, they have improved during the last couple of decades like the decrease of corruption, and the decrease of pollution through extensive programs. they face a plethora of issues which could challenge the stability of the government like Overpopulation, Religious tensions, Polution, and many more. In a way, indonesia is much like the people's republic of china, So if they can prosper then so can we!

See anything off about the app?

I'm going to tweak those transport aircraft down a bit, but very good application, you even wrote the status for me. Accepted.

A tad surprised too, considering if you win that may encourage more separatism in SEA. I suppose they're a high-risk gambler.

This conflict along with a party split inside the governing party would start the spark that slowly started the Independence fire. Small towns in the province started to speak out against the Malaysian government treating them like the true enemy for being Christian like the Sarawakians and these voices slowly spread across the region. Things were largely going well for the state’s peace until marital law was declared. This was the final straw and a series of riots started to spring up in the state and a formal militant arm of the party started to form and participate in the riots with the firing and bombing of the police and military. Currently the rebellion is spreading throughout the state with greater speed as the said split party set up a government in the jungles of Sabah proclaiming themselves as the true government of Sabah.

I'd break down that military a bit more. 400 people or 400 crafts? How many AFVs and shit, or do you just have infantry?

Well not much is happening in South America, much of Africa is being left alone and the Caribbean as well. Even though Cuba is now slightly more rich due to the Banana shortage and such.

I suppose both, really. Two somewhat go hand in hand. I think we could really use some activity in the region between Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Cote d'Ivoire. Someone should really app for a country in that exact spot.

West Africa's pretty overlooked, and of course Latin America. Could be nice to have a Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Germany, and France too. In IE events probably some things in Latin America or Southern Africa could be cool.
