Would recommend popping onto the Discord since it's got a few worthwhile channels for IC and OOC interaction. Since you're Taiwan, you could write up some initial efforts to tackle domestic issues if you want, or else on the international scene you could comment on the China-Russia alliance that's forming (maybe reaching out to form some counter-blocs of your own if you feel threatened) and comment on the push for Sarawak independence from Malaysia.

Well friend, we got plenty of interesting nations to be.

1. Israel (an obvious choice to mess with middle east politics)

2. Palestine (obvious choice to mess with middle east politics on the mooslem side.)

3. Kurdistan (Fight to keep your freedom and keep conducting that diplomacy to survive, whilst also trying to help your Kurdish brethren in Turkey as they go through their civil war

4. Ethiopia (Mess with African politics and have diplomatic talks with Egypt about a dam that is preventing Nile River water flow.

5. Pakistan (Fight against India for Kashmir and make us all worry about nuclear death and destruction.)

6. Algeria (Fight for regional dominance against Morocco as the Second Saharan War is nearing its conclusion.)

7. Any European Nation (Really any of these can be interesting depending on where they stand, of Pro-EU or Euroskeptic

8. Cuba (Try to keep your communist dictatorship, change it whatever you want. Enjoy American politics as you still make money off the World banana crisis you are getting rich off of.

9. Saudi Arabia (Be a leader in Middle East politics and do what you need to do to lead the Arab League, as well as stop Iranian influence in the region)

10. Iran (Basically Saudi Arabia but stopping Saudi influence.)

11. Canada (I don't know, could be interesting)

12. South Africa (Could be interesting I don't know.)

13. South American countries other than Brazil (They all have their own problems, but could still be interesting. Especially with the incidents with Venezuela getting quite spicy.)

To add on to that, I can't recall if the UK is still taken or not. Australia could also be interesting with the political shifts going on in the Indo-Pacific as well. Any of the ASEAN members could be interesting for similar reasons, as could the members of the new CSTO-SCO alliance (Kazakhstan probably being the most powerful among these?).
