This stain on his legacy caused him to lose election to his next term, beat by an opposition candidate with left-of-center economic policies. This proved to be a dismal failure, as a recession overcame the Israeli economy. In response, the Knesset chose a new Prime Minister in 2022, Minister of Regional Cooperation/Minister of Finance Akiva Rosenthal. Like Netanyahu, Rosenthal is a member of Likud and is a major free-market advocate. Bibi has his hands back in the government too, having recently been elected as to the largely ceremonial position of President. As Israel looks to find its place in an increasingly Arab world, they must adapt and cooperate, or risk annihilation by their enemies.

Since 2008 the Ukraine is still on recovery and with the War in Donbass further damaging the economy coupled with the Russian seizure of Crimea it would take till 2018 before it would see any growth and with the Virumaa Crisis ending it's NATO partnership and the War in the Donbass picking up the Ukraine has sense signed a new ceasefire and is still attempting to secure further defense agreements. However with the end of the Donbass incident, the right wing of Ukraine have promised "Never Again!" Claiming the EU is unreliable, and Russia untrustworthy, a new invigorated ultranationist right is determined to restore stability and order to Ukraine, meanwhile drawing closer to the USA as an economic and Military ally.
