History - For decades, the United Kingdom had been part of the European Union, a supernational organization containing much of the European continent. In 2016, the United Kingdom voted to exit the union, which was finally executed in 2019. The vote was highly controversal, and several days after the final exit, the Scottish National Party demanded a referendum on independence, due to the fact that Scotland largely voted to remain in the union. The referendum was agreed to, but the British government continuously held off on releasing a date. After three years of gridlock on the topic, the SNP scheduled a referendum in 2022. The referendum succeeded by a margin of over 65%. The British government immediately recognized this referendum as illegitimate, sparking protests and other acts of defiance in the name of an independent Scotland. While it's been nearly two years since the date of the false referendum, Scottish independence runs as strong as ever, a sentiment which may end the 400 year history of the United Kingdom.

Yeah, I hope this is okay for everyone. Also can Queen Elizabeth II be replkaced by Prince Charles? I mean, I predict she would be dead by the IC time.

The U.K. has already rejoined the EU, a move supported by its populace. A conservative government isn't impossible, but it would almost certainly not be at 98.2%.

It might be worth looking at the previous UK player's app, to make sure everything is in line.

For much of recent history, Algeria has been tossed been a colony of the french colonial empire like the rest of its brothers on the African continent. Under French occupation, the Algerians and Moroccans were de facto allied, working together on removing French control on Maghreb. In recent decades, however, the relationship between the two sides has devolved. Their common border has been completely closed, and both have constructed border walls to minimize immigration. All this despite both being Arab League Members. Algeria has supported the notorious Polisario Front in their war for the Independence of the Sahwari Arab Democratic Republic. In recent years, however algeria has suffered a number of protests against the ruling party the national liberation front, the protests escalated to a full on nationwide revolt against the NLF regime. After months of goverment crackdown of the protest, several high ranking algerian officials stepped down and the NLF was dissolved in October 2019 along with the exile of former president abdulazis bouteflika along with Noureddine Bedoui stepping down as prime minister. An new constitution is finally drafted based on the french ideals of Liberté, égalité, fraternité. during the internim period from 2020-2026 Algeria was pre-occupied with domestic issues that they didn’t intervene when the moroccans opressed the sahrawi in 2023, The Iris revolution stands as a test to how far Algeria will go to secure it’s grip on it’s people, and weather it will succeed or fail in the 21st century.

The Arab League is a multinational organization made up of many Sunni nations. This modifier increases regional nationalism while increasing economic capabilities.
Image
The Saharan Crisis has endangered Algerian power in Western Sahara in recent years. This modifier decreases national unity and damages the Moroccan-Algerian relationship.

Image
The recent history of Algeria is one of warfare and authoritarianism, a history which the Algerian people feel guilt towards. This modifier lowers national unity and makes it much more difficult for your citizenry to support authoritarian and undemocratic ideals.

Quite a good application, but the FFS is a rather fringe party and likely wouldn't have power by now. Accepted upon that edit.

Denied with requested changes. The Conservative Party is currently in the opposition, Labor is currently in power with Warren Mclanahan as the leader. The United Kingdom rejoined the European Union at the lowest tier about a year ago IC. Also that level of remilitarization is way too high, crazy high, look at this for military info of the current United Kingdom. Also, though goals aren't really judged, "Britannia rules the waves" and "Restore the British Empire" are essentially impossible.

I would like to submit an application, but I have some questions:

1. Would I be allowed to join if I am not a member of the Cobalt Network?
2. Do I need prior roleplay experience? As you can see, I have none. But I feel that I understand the rules and the style enough that I can still be a good contributor to this RP.

If I am allowed to submit an app still, I would like to reserve South Africa while I work on it.

No, you do not need to be a member of the Cobalt Network. So no need to worry there.

As for your second question, you are not required to have prior roleplay experience. It's more of something to let us see your skill level in regards to how you make your posts and things of the likes. We've had others come before and we've been surprised by a few, so no need to worry once again. You may make your app and your reservation will most likely be noted.

Well, mostly nothing has happened. My guess is that the Government headed by President Yang is still facing the EMC, the democratic rebel group that is suffering from internal members breaking apart. ASCO also called for peace and a ceasefire with the Government to see for a future of independent southern Cameroon which is anglophone. CLIP, the fulani seperatists have been given support from the Arab League, there has been clashes between CLIP and Nigeria though that hasn't amounted to much either. So basically its just a massive stalemate between all sides unless I'm told otherwise.

Cool, good to know, thanks again! And final question, is the International Entity still around? I noticed that they are now an ex-nation
