It's important enough in international politics that I'm glad we have one, and it's powerful if the player knows what they're doing and doesn't think Russia is still nearly as powerful as the US.

sarawakian secessionism and autonomy is an issue IRL. The player cleverly and realistically inflated the crisis to such proportions that an organized secessionist movement formed. so no, it isnt.

Both Sabah and Sarawak have been seeking much further autonomy from Malaysia for years now. When the peace conference broke down in Kuching, Sarawakan "independence" solidified, or at least a more formal rebellion did.
