Haha, not quite the multispeed reforms are some political changes we made to the EU to split it into different tiers of integration. That way folks like Italy and Poland can get out of further integration in exchange for allowing more europhile countries like France and Germany to push on with the project.

Although the new Confederation did just announce a big infrastructure investment that will include transportation projects I imagine.

I honestly find it infinitely entertaining that one of your main listed issues was alcoholism. Just ban vodka, worked well for the United States.

Germany's main issue is its late stage of economic development, but we're honestly rocking pretty well in that field. Most of our issues lie in political stability, not everyone is onboard with the whole "European Confederation" thing. But they'll disappear from their homes find that it's immensely beneficial soon enough.

As for Canadian economic roadblocks... First, Canada is a secondary market to the big ole US to the south, thus Canada has to develop its financials to be more open, while ensuring its trademark as one of the safest banking systems in the world. The Bay Street will never be Wall Street. Being more proactive in encouraging international businesses to set up shop in Canada rather than just the United States, and overall business regulations that hurt economic growth. Also, reestablishing Montreal as a real secondary financial and international trading market to Toronto will have to be a priority, and really focusing on Vancouver and the West to open more trade with the Asian economics will be very important for the future. Oh, and not to mention the issue of wealth distribution. Beyond those, which are not that hard to overcome, not serious roadblocks in comparison to others ones for the most part, the outlook for Canada is pretty solid, especially as free trade deals with the US and EU with CETA will definitely help the Canadian market value.

Separatist movements in modern Mexico are pretty limited to just the EZLN in Chiapas and they largely calmed down to just self-governing. ICly, the Mexican congress ratified the peace treaty that was supposed to end the conflict in the 90s but that the government refused to implement. It added bunch of rights for indigenous groups to self govern and gained me the help of the EZLN against drug trafficking in the south.

On economic barriers, the usual corruption, violence, etc. Mexico needs to clamp on its massive and expensive bureaucracy and invest it in the economy and the public. To grow at 3.8-4% every year, I need to invest between 24-25% of GDP in infrastructure. Currently it invests about 19-20% and grows at around 2%. Most of the investment is private and by domestic companies, with direct foreign investment and government spending each being about 3% of GDP. (To grow 6%, then around 30%) I’m working to eliminate corporate tax rates in a 2-3 year time frame, so should be done soon. Instead, there will be much greater emphasis on income taxes, cracking down on money laundering and tax evasion, and bringing more workers into the tax base. Corporate taxes in Mexico are among the highest and revenue collection is pretty low. So without corporate taxes, I’m hoping that translates into savings for the company and also for Mexican consumers and there’s tax incentives now for shareholders to reinvest. The last piece of the puzzle is gonna be passing co-determination laws for Mexican workers.

As for nation that is the biggest threat, I’d say the one that has invaded us around a half dozen times throughout history. Still, no real threat of invasion now. The Central American countries are no threat either. Only more migration from them but I’m working on that.

The biggest threat to India right now is Pakistan. They're the only power that can somewhat match our military might and is not separated by impenetrable mountains or ocean. We have large overlaying claims on in the Kashmir region and have been at war officially 4 times since our independence and have seen many skirmishes and close calls along the line of control over the years.

China is a close number two, they are the only Asian power to outmatch us militarily, have a bigger nuclear arsenal and economy, and has been at war with us in the 60s over border disputes which continue to keep tensions high to this day.
