Breakdown of ground sector - Still Developing after public reforms and recovering from corruption from the May 13 Scandal in 2020 where a coup attempt was uncovered from many of the top generals of the military. With roughly 160 Tanks, mostly Leopard 1 and Swedish Light Tanks recently purchased the military boasts a growing and modernizing motorized division, this is hand in hand with the 1.5 Thousand AFVs, 27 Self Propelled Artillery, and 30 Rocket Projectors. The military uses around 410 Towed Artillery pieces, most of which are in use in the north fighting boko haram. In 2021 Military advisors from other countries were hired to revise the military and worked to promote good generals, most of which are constitutionalists (weather this is purposeful is questioned). A new elite force was trained and equiped by former swiss soldiers in 2023 which has seen a lot of action in the Niger River Delta fighting crime bosses and fighting hostage crisis. The militaries best troops are Paramilitary troops hired out of Europe and Asia which see a lot of action dealing with hostage crisis in the north of the country. The standard weapon in the military is the M-16A2 assault rifle.
Breakdown of naval sector - The Naval Sector has since 2019 when president Kingsley took power. Mainly in Patrol Boats to deal with piracy and safety and rescue along the coast. The military proudly boasts 2 Frigates, 2 Destroyers, 3 Mine Warfare Craft, and 130 Patrol Vessels (mainly Archer and Scimitar Class ships retired from the british navy though some retired US Cyclone Class have been purchased.)
Breakdown of airforce sector - Like most african countries the air sector was largley neglected and still sort of is, thought the government has been purchasing a lot of helicopters in the past couple of years, which it believes will help solve a lot of the logistical issues in the military. With 9 Fighters and 22 Fixed Wing Attack Aircraft the fixed wing section is small though the government has a plan to save for the replacement of many of the aging aircraft in the fixed wing portion of the air sector. The main focus of the air sector, as I said, is the helicopter section with many tactical and logistical uses it has been massively expanded in the past couple of years, and proved useful during natural disasters in rescue missions. The military has 71 Transport Helicopters, 40 General use Helicopters, and 15 Attack Helicopters.
