How does this look so far Atrilan? I'm working on the History part.

Not too bad, my primary issue is the party in power, the FI is absolutely tiny compared to the PD. Even with that coalition, the PD would still maintain huge control over the government. With the PD having an absolute majority in the Chamber of Deputies and a coalition majority in the Senate in real life, with no party falling close to the 75% mark, I can't see you starting out without the PD in charge, even if the Crimson Dawn Attacks and (maybe) the Virumaa Crisis supported them.

Eh, I don't see how PD would stay in power after Crimson Dawn, tbh. Policies that PD supports lead to that attack (PD is pro-immigrant), I don't see the Italian electorate voting for a leftist party or coalition after seeing their ideas utterly fail, especially when tensions with immigrants in Italy is pretty high irl.

Yeah, and I can see that to some extent, but Italy is hugely leaning leftist. Either way, the PD and their coalition is just too powerful at current day, and the multiple attacks in Europe in modern day haven't influenced it too much [Although it's more akin to September 11th than the Paris or Nice Attacks] Regardless, I can see that being used to secure the FI in the 2028 election. Although, you could try and talk to Pacificora, though, and get his opinion on it.

What do you mean? Italy's political sphere is coalition dominant, individual parties can't really single handedly control the government. You have a broad left coalition and a broad right one....

Ah, yeah good point. Italy is a pretty lefty nation. I'll talk to Pacificora about it. I mean, I don't care that much about my start out party too much, I can still maneuver PI and friends into office later. I'd prefer to have the Rightists in chatge though since they're more in line with my longterm goals, while PD would be opposed to them.

Also, PD is comprised out of numerous factions. After C. Dawn it is possible that the Democratic Front faction, which is more cautious regarding immigration but still economically left gained more power within PD.

History [MUST LINE UP WITH HISTORY IN "STATUS" SECTION, NOT SET IN STONE AND MUST BE APPROVED BY OPs, WRITE IT LIKE IT'S GOING IN THE "STATUS" SECTION Argentina has been a country that since it's founding, has been in a constant internal war between authoritarianism, and democratic sentiment that has reached high-points even into the 1990's. Currently, Argentina stands as a Federal Presidential Constitutional Republic rated by much of the world as a "flawed democracy." In 2018 after the attacks in Sweden, Argentina President Mauricio Macri announced that he would not seek re-election due to "wishing to spend more time with the family." This, was the final nail in the coffin as many in Argentina had grown to see the presidency as an ineffective model of governance and weak in the face of international conflict. Protests began to erupt in September of 2018, which grew violent in the streets of Buenos Aires. Arnaldo Farsante, a young university professor led what he called "The Populist Movement," protesting the constant abuses of the judiciary and police, along with the ineffective measures President Macri and the Argentine government was taking to attempt to solve the numerous issues plaguing the nation. The protests which only lasted a few days, was forcefully dispersed by the police after an altercation between protesters and police took place in the downtown areas. Following the protests, Farsante declared his candidacy for the 2019 presidential elections in November of 2018, declaring that he would "Put an end to the corrupt practices of the government, and restore Argentine pride and stability for the people." Hitting all major cities to give speeches by February of 2019, Farsante was shown to be trailing in the polls behind the other candidates and decided to begin changing his campaign tactics.

Near the end of the month of February, Farsante called for his supporters to "Stand up to injustice, be refusing it to leave the confines of the station it presides in." Clarifying, he had ordered a blockade of all Federal Police institutions in Argentina, disrupting general policing operations throughout the country. During this time there were calls by national figures to place Farsante under arrest for causing such a disruption of justice, but ultimately these were not carried out and Farsante's reputation began to steadily grow. Running on the Front for Victory party as the top candidate, he managed to win the election and was sworn in late November of 2019, which began the era of "The Farsante Miracle," as it's known to many in the Argentine republic. During his first year of the presidency, Farsante personally led a crusade inside the Federal Police institutions, firing over 20,000 officers for engaging in various acts of corruption. Creating the "Office of Transparency and Anti-Corruption," he forced the Judiciary to begin more aggressive prosecutions and severe sentences to curtail acts of corruption by public employees, and also began signing bills for increase of police salaries and such so officers would not need to turn to corrupt practices which began to drop police corruption statistics by nearly 30% in the first two years of his presidency. In terms of the economy, Farsante being a firm believer in Peronism, began to advocate the semi-nationalization of defense industries in a matter of majority share-holder state control. Using public funds, the Farsante government was able to become a majority shareholder on many defense and resource industries and could direct general operations without being in direct control. Farsante also began to heavily allow foreign investment, cutting funding from various "frivolous," expenditures to direct the excess towards the military budget. For now, Farsante has seen a decrease in public corruption, and increase in foreign investment, high approval ratings, and seen by many as the "Strongman of Argentina," in face of growing global instability. His foreign policy however, has yet to be determined.

1.) Yes, there numbers did grow a bit from the populist sentiment. So I'd assume they'd have a bit more support then normal in congress.
2.) I understand. Fixed.
3.) Those weren't the numbers. Notice I mentioned that as a "planned," expansion. I never said I had it, but going to point two the numbers we have currently are now posted. But we are years off the goal.
4.) Added then.

They're running as the largest party by far in both branches of legislature, so it was just put down for them based off of the legislature rule for party in power. It makes it easier than looking into the electoral situations of every nation involved, so some simplification was needed.

History -

Since World War 2, Australia has cultivated positive relationships with many nations. A military alliance set up with the US of A has solidified their position in the Oceania region and allowed for national growth without worries of foreign aggressors. As the years passed, the country became very much multicultural as Asian tiger economies afforded the opportunity of travel. As a result, Australia got past its initial years of fears about Asian invasion and established positive trade relationships with Asian countries such as Japan, Korea, India and most especially China. Meanwhile, its relationship with Britain was maintained as a strong connection with its official parent nation and as a member of the Commonwealth.

However, in the aftermath of the Viruuma Crisis, Australia finds itself in deep waters. With their relationship with the Americans soured deeply due to their clear refusal to aid their NATO allies as a sign that USA may not come to Australia's aid if in need, the country looks to strengthening their already established good relationships with Oceanic and Asian nations. This comes in the midst of Chinese aggression in the South China Seas, with Australians fearing that if China gets their way their foreign policy may soon target Australia and her treasure trove of natural resources. Thus, it is that Prime Minister Macka was elected to pave the way for Australia's survival in such a tumultuous period of nationstates while at the same time remembering not to let current domestic issues get too out of hand...

This, was the final nail in the coffin as many in Argentina had grown to see the presidency as an ineffective model of governance and weak in the face of international conflict.

Sorry but the armed forces are simply too large compared to the numbers in 2018. The Argintinian army right now has about 54,500 troops in both reserves and active, and your proposal multiplies that number by about a factor of 6.7. I understand that Argentina may very well be expanding its army, but there is nothing in your history that states that the armed forces is greatly expanded, and even if there was I would dispute it. So lower the numbers, offer a concrete rebuttal, or just don’t get accepted.

Overall pretty good, but because this country is close to my heart I have a few things to point out.
1) I find it very difficult to believe that within 6 years the country was not just able to change its national anthem, but didn't even change it to the unofficial and widely known ‘We are Australia’. Just because I am a perfectionist, please either ‘Advance Australia Fair’ or ‘We are Australia’.
2) I know this is just like nothing at all but there are other reasonably popular religions in Australia, particularly variants of christianity other than Anglicanism. So sorry but it just slightly annoys me.
3) YES PLEASE DO AUSTRALIAN REPUBLIC I WOULD BE SO SO HAPPY xD
4) Whilst it is not like a huge growth I did notice that the Armed Forces grew in number a bit, so could you possibly break it down into active and reserve so I can just review it?

Other than that it seems great, so I am gonna count this as ‘accepted’, but I would prefer if you made these changes. (And of course Axalis can contest my acceptance haha)

Chewion, I have heard you are making an application for Sweden, but I cannot seem to find it. Even though we have not really talked a whole lot, I am a bit skeptical of allowing you into the RP, but if you can provide examples to the contrary, I would be very happy to be proven wrong.

Anyway, for any of you who don’t know me, I am Pacificora, and I am going to be your International Entity for 2024 Global Warfare. As a warning, there are many times where you may think I am not very nice, well I am sorry, but being mean to you in the IC is kinda my job haha. But happily, I can consider myself a pretty good person otherwise, so feel free to tg me with any questions, and I hope to see you all soon!

NOOOO, don't do it Australia, it would be extremely rude to become a republic.

But happily, I can consider myself a pretty good person otherwise, so feel free to tg me with any questions, and I hope to see you all soon!

My rebuttal to this.

1.) I mentioned this in my app for extra military information.
Farsante is also heavily pushing for more defense industries to be state-directed, and promises of a "National Renewal of Defense," has proven to be a popular policy with the people. In 2022, Farsante also passed a law to allow for the president to be able to engage in foreign deployments on presidential authority, rather then congressional authority, as long as it was upon request of a government and not an invasion or war.

I would've imagined that should have implied there has been a heavy emphasis on fixing the under-strengthened units of the Argentina Armed Forces, without it being explicitly stated.

2.) Under my app I also mention this.

Under Farsante's leadership, GDP spending on the Armed Forces increased from 0.8% of the GDP, to 3.0% with a majority of those funds going to the naval, and army sectors.

This is a massive jump in a defense budget. 0.8% of the budget of the entire armed forces with the GDP of 2017 is 4,367,200,000$. 3% would jump that up to $16,377,000,000. The Argentina Armed Forces trained with NATO countries and was considered a major non-nato US ally since 1998. So, I would've expected that these funds would've been used for the training and recruitment of more military personnel.

3.) Argentina has a LONG history of a strong military, regarded as one of the best in Latin america for decades before the 1960's with a strong defense industry even during World War II that even the United States got upset when they didn't wish to intervene in WW2 on the allies side. As this government is following Peronism, established by Juan Person who was a military general the military would of course get a lot of attention during this sort of administration. Add that ontop of the terrorist incidents in Sweden, Dissolution of NATO, Argentinian withdraw from the Rio Pact following increased tensions, and increasing global instability, it is not at all out of the park for Argentina to do this.

4.) Even running the numbers for population of Argentina in 2024, the population would be 47,112,564 with current growth rates. That means, with a 1% rate for volunteers I could reasonably recruit 471,120 people in total just for an all volunteer force with zero conscription. I've done the math on my numbers here;

260,000 (Army & National Gendarmerie Combined)
110,000 (Navy and Naval Prefecture Combined)
80,000 (Air Force)

This in total equals 450,000 troops, which is below the 1% by 20,000. And to be honest, I'm willing to cut an even further twenty thousand troops from the Air Force if you insist which would put us 40,000 under the 1%. My point simply being, that my numbers are within a realistic standpoint. 2019-2024 is a lot of time to train up this force if you're truly pushing for it. And considering the world that you have presented us with, I don't see this being an unrealistic stance for Argentina to take. I hope you shall reconsider your decision on this.

I have a counter proposal, but it is still to being vetoed by Axalis.

Look, my main issue with this actually has nothing to do with the fact that Argentina wouldn’t be able to support an army of that size, like it certainly would, but the issue is it massively disrupts any kind of balance of power that currently exists in South America.I mean sure you would still be weaker than Brazil but Chile would be so vastly outnumbered as well as Bolivia. So here is what I think could work.

This mass recruitment? It has not finished occurring by 2024. You even said that if you are TRULY pushing it then 5 years seems like enough, but Argentina has no need to really arm that fast. So, it is in the process. This allows for players for Chile and Bolivia to figure out a response before they are faced with an army that would simply engulf their own. What do you think?

Hum...I don't 100% agree with the fact that Argentina has no need to really arm that fast, especially in the wake of the United States going back from it's foreign commitments and the increasing tensions with Brazil. And as you stated, we would still be under-powered compared to Brazil, which would be seen as a major threat in the future to Argentina due to my previous statements. Argentina is also rather isolated in South America, and although yes Chile and Bolivia would be smaller in terms of military to Argentina, Argentina is much bigger then these countries and either way would be bigger. And since Brazil would still be the top dog in Brazil, Argentina follows as a secondary power in South America which is what it is anyway and would stay so the balance of power is not really disrupted. And to be honest, I have zero intention on starting wars against other South American powers unless absolutely necessary. The main issue however, is without these improvements Argentina will be far behind once 2024 hits. They have millions of soldiers they could call, a much bigger military, much more developed air, army, and naval assets, etc. Point simply being, I'm already at a massive disadvantage when put up against Brazil alone, that I don't feel that it's fair to limit me from engaging in this because of the concerns of Chile and Bolivia. That to me is like stopping the United States from ramping up some of it's military, because of Mexico.

How quickly does time pass in this RP, out of curiosity? I assume that the pace changes depending on what's happening, but in general what would be a good rule of thumb? I'm hoping to get a post up by the end of the week, so apologies for the delay!

Once again, normally this would be of no issue at all, except for one thing, and that is the fact that have an applicant for Chile.

History: -
Following the ousting of Jacob Zuma from the presidency in 2018, the ruling ANC party would undergo dramatic infighting, which would result in a series of splits throughout the year would eventually render the party defunct. In 2019, the first party since 1994 that wasn´t the ANC would win the presidency. The center-left Peoples Union ( one of the separated factions from the ANC ) would win with around 49.2% of the vote.

The Peoples Union, led by Fredrik Dulomo, would have difficulty working with the new government from the very beginning. Dulomo and the PU promise an extensive reinvestment into the nationś crumbling infrastructure, but with almost no support from outside their own party within the government, any plans for major reinvestment would be left dead in the water throughout the entirety of Dulomoś term. This political stagnation would lead to increased corruption and bureaucratic failures, which would, in turn, lead to further deterioration of the nationś many public and private services. Taxes which had been repealed or no longer applied to persons or groups would be implemented anyway due to failures in uniformity - and then vice versa. These failures would lead to an unemployment level of 13.8% by 2022 and the largest bout of negative immigration in the nationś history. Riots in Pretoria and Johannesburg over illegal Zimbabwean immigrants taking native jobs would leave 51 dead and hundreds injured.

In 2024, the right-leaning Isenzo Party of Kagiso Bakker, would win the presidency with 45% of the vote. Agreeing to form a coalition with the centrist Foward party, Bakker managed to pass the massive infrastructure reinvestment that the PU could not. Work coninues to this day.

1) Uh the land down under song thing was just a joke mate, i included the advance aus anthem below it but since it hasnt been grasped, np since yall be foreigners, ill change it for ya
2) ???????? i listed a bunch of other religions like islam then did MULTICULTURALISM at the end. didnt realise it was i had to list even more for some ppl to understand
3) ya
4) ya

"I took away Vanq's YB for deliberatly ignoring me"
"I know Vanq is a very good writer and this is how he treats someone of lesser skill?"
"I would love to have a writer of your caliber along for the ride"
"neo and vanq do a dbz fusion to form 1 big shitposter then get erased from NS by kyrusia"
"Which is the level of memeing I expect from Vanq"
"brigadier general comes on, pulls a vanq and calls us all autistic"
