Tagged. A question: how far is the tech limit on AI and androids? Do we have androids (sentient or not) as a functioning class of society?
Also, is it okay if I can reuse/recycle a corporation from a past RP I made? I want to take the base concept a lot further, plus, as you can tell from the little info I've given in my factbook, this RP has my inner capitalist rubbing his hands in sheer joy.

HISTORY: The FFH was founded around 2100 to help fill the demand for much needed natural resources. By capitalizing on Iceland's rich coastlines and access to heated volcanoes, they were able to rig up a multitude of operations in the Northern Icecap, drilling for minerals and northern Oil. Slowly, but surely, the company began to grow in size and power, absorbing a multitude of smaller companies and expanding its operations to a global mining effort, leading the way in mining operations under Oxis. After the collapse of Oxis, The FFH was able to take over the nitch of a highly developed mining corporation. They expanded to the other solar colonies, and since then have been using the funds gained to expand into other areas.
Like any good corporation, they have branched into Arms Manufacturing, etc. but really the main emphasis is on Information Technology and Arcology research. The Current CEO, Gunnar, is obsessed with Arcological Technology and has made the FFHHQ into an Arcology, supporting 5,000 people. Their main goal is to monopolize Arcologies and create an unrivaled dependence

SHORT BIO: Gunnar was born in 2215 to the standard corporate/bureaucratic family. Familial ties and political gambling allowed him to connive his way to the CEO position at 28 due to a combination of ruthless tactics and a natural charisma that allows him to be a natural born leader. Growing up he always was under the watchful eye of the corporate machine, that tried to hammer him into your stereotypical worker-bee-money-grubbing-CEO, however, he always had a certain individuality and resilience, and he kept his giving yet very eccentric personality intact throughout his youth. He is very in touch with his ancestry, and apart of his eccentricities is a belief in the Old Gods, which is reflected in a small shrine in his Office, and the Symbol of the Company itself being a Rune. Another eccentric example would be the mask he always wears. When he was a teenager there was an assassination attempt on his parents that led in him being caught in the
an, leaving large scars on his face. Due to this, he wears a mechanical mask over his face in public, adding a sense of intimidation and allows him to truly stand out.

SECURITY/MILITARY INFORMATION:


SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES: The FFH runs 1984 levels of surveillance across its controlled areas and Arcologies. Heavily Encrypted and monitored by the most skilled codes man and hackers available to them, "The Vault" is a ship that is ever moving across the solar system and contains the storage for all information collected by The FFH. Along with this, they frequently fund Black Market information operations and Black Hat Hacker groups along with employing Cyber Mercenaries.
STANDARD INFANTRY WEAPON: The RM-24 Peterku Gauss Rifle is a high-end Semi and Fully Automatic Rifle developed by The FFH. It is a heavier weapon but makes up for mobility in power having high efficiency at breaking through armor, though it loses efficiency in wet environments.
STANDARD INFANTRY: The Einingarstjórinn (Keeper of Unity) is the main ground force employed by The FFH. In Iceland and stationed in the Arcologies, they can be frequently found enforcing peace by any means and keeping tabs on the populace. Outside of that, they are deployed in units of 15-20 and work defense and occasional offensive operations defending their interests of the company. They carry the FFH Standard Gauss Rifle, a Small Gauss pistol, Shock Baton, fragmentation grenades, and basic medical technology. They are in a suit that utilizes modern bullet-resistant technology and defends against radiation. In return for this defense, they are very slow and specialize in Shock-and-Awe tactics.
STANDARD MFV/MECH: The MAS Mk-47 Jötunn is the standardized Mechanized unit used and produced by The FFH. It is designed to assist The Einingarstjórinn in peacekeeping operations, as well as capable of assisting in construction and mining. They are equipped with an AA-72 Gauss Minigun, radar technology, night vision due to its work in mines, and extreme strength for moving boulders.
STANDARD COMBAT AIRCRAFT/SPACECRAFT: The Muninn was designed for speed and defense. It has heavy mining lasers to allow it to mine through asteroids as well as cut through the hulls of ships, and it has heavy armored plating to defend against incoming space debris while sitting idle in an asteroid belt, which doubles as a heavy defense against projectiles fired at them. They also have large storage capacity due to doubling as mining vessels.

CORPORATION SPECIALTY:Ship building, specifically military/exploratory ship building, even more so if they are capital class (so cruiser weight and up) warships.
MAJOR INDUSTRIES: Pretty expansive in the hand held weapon area, due to its policy of mass producing cheep, durable energy rifles. The Tula Arsenal Historical Armory produced hand crafted, special order fire arms.

HEADQUARTERS: New Moscow, Rodinya (A Tula owned corporate stretch of resource rich land on Mars) Mars.
HISTORY: The Tula Fleet Works is perhaps one of the few companies that can proudly say it was never under the Yoke of Oxis Corporate oppression. Which meant for years, the privatized Former Military Arsenal of the Russian Federation (and the Soviet Union before them, and the Russian Empire before them) was little more then a historical armory that barely paid its bills by making custom, hand forged replica weapons (or ones from vintage parts, if paid enough) That faced Boxing in from every corner by Oxis and its many subsidiaries. None the less, it was Ivan's grandfather who invented the first AM-1 Prototype pulse laser rifles and sent the company sky rocketing in profits. The simplicity of the design, its legendary durability, and ease of construction meant that the AM-1 was, for a time, considered to be the most easily available rifle in the system.

How ever, the true golden age came when Ivan's Mother, Anastasia Malinovka, took charge of the company during the break down of Oxis, and through both Technically Legal (and wholly illegal means) led a hostile take over of the target of her fixation for years: The Oxis Orbital dockyards. In the end, the hostile take over of such large stationed over Mars and Earth was bloody, with Anastasia her self nearly being killed more then once, but in the end, Tula Security troops took both stations mostly intact...and all during the Chaos of the first war.

A contract was quickly established: Tula would build warships for the UN Navy (then rather unequipped to deal with the NSF) in return, Tula would be recognized as the sole legal owners of the former Oxis orbital dockyards, and be allowed to keep any spoils of war captured by Tula crewed ships and Tula owned PMCs. One of the notable achievements was when Tula Troops assaulted and took over a NSF stronghold in the city that now forms New Moscow, cleaned it up of any Rebel influence, and now legally owns it and is mainly inhabited by the workers of the company.

Fast forward to the modern day, and Anastasia Malinovka has retired, leaving her Eldest grand-child and only grandson (out of 5 children, all others being girls) to run the family company. With the launching of the newest Ship, the Kirov class cruiser (Ivan's Brain child) The profits of the company are expected to rise once again.

SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES: Ships are rather simple is design, titanium-A armor plating, large caliber conventional artillery as primary ship to ship combat, with center line mounted multi-stage Gauss cannon (coil gun). PDCs and Missiles pods making secondary weapon batteries. Their strength comes two fold: Fire power and durability. A Tula made warship is both heavily armed and armored, while this does mean they are rather slow to run and sluggish to turn.

Designed to be both cheap and reliable, the strength of these weapons comes not from fire power, but the Tula tactic of using lines upon lines of riflemen to simply melt targets under sustained energy fire.

Given a AM-30, three extra power packs, 3 Fragmentation grenades, and a side arm of their choice (as long as it is either 9mm or .45 acp) The standard Tula riflemen is more for standing guard while the better trained and equipped Naval crews pilot the ship they are most often stationed on. The highest concentration of Tula troops can be found on Mars, centered around New Moscow.
STANDARD MFV/MECH:

When the situation calls for it, Tula does make use of a certain tank design. While the original design goes back to the early 1980s, The current model "казак" Tank has been completely redone and refitted with modern weapons and armor.
BY replacing the older steel/plastic/Depleted uranium composite with the Tula Patented "Defender" Armor package (Incessantly starship grade Tit-A Reinforced Carbon Nano-mech plating), the effective thickness and durability has been increased to shrug off, at least frontally, most types of shoulder launched and mounted AT systems on the market. The replacing of the older 120mm Smooth bore gun with a newer, 122mm rifle firing both Tandem Warhead HEAT as well as a APFS-SABOT (firing a 90mm Submission) and the "Objeckt 801 is able to deal with most threats it is to face.
Lastly, a system of ablative ERA plates, Trophy system, and ECM generators to scramble missile locks, as well as a hydrogen fuel cell based power system, and you have the modern revival of a cold war classic. Despite this, the 801 still fallows the "Cheap yet durable" ideology of Tula manufacturing, and as such is remarkably cheap and easy tank to produce. Tula, at the current time, operates 200 of these tanks.

Assualt Walker, model 5 (or M5)

Like most things Tula, the M5 is cheap, some what durable, and effective in its role as a support mech for infantry assaults. The base model fits a twin 23mm Gatling cannon mount (in an over under configuration) for ripping through infantry, and through the use of 23mm AP-TC (Armor piercing-Tungsten cored) rounds, some what effective against other light mechs and vehicles and even low flying aircraft. Anti-tank variant, fitting a high velocity, 55mm Gauss rifle are available, as is a dedicated Anti-aircraft variant fitting a twin barreled, 35mm Flak cannons.
STANDARD COMBAT AIRCRAFT/SPACECRAFT:

Clocking in at a whopping 780 Meters in length, the Kirov is a horse bred for war. Fitting multiple twin 410mm Gun turrets for ship-to-ship combat, she also fits multiple 105mm rapid fire secondary batteries and 60mm Gatling cannons for defense against fast movers and small craft. She also fits 6 heavy duty Medusa Missiles pods (35 missiles each) and a centerline mounted, 780mm Gauss rifle to be used when needed. Her speed, how ever, is rather sluggish, as is her maneuvering due to her extensive weapons and armor load out.

Due to UN regulations on Private star ship manufacturing, only one Kirov class ship, Kirov is in active service as a proof of concept while Tula awaits a contract from the UN for the large cruisers.
Destroyer, Sovremenny Class

Designed to be a both a patrol vessel and versatile warship, the Sovremenny comes in at 589 meters in length (with UN "Halberd" Sub class coming in at 536 meters due to the absence of Medusa missile systems) is the main stay of the Tula Fleet as well as a common sight in the UN fleet. Fitting multiple 360mm Twin gun turrets, she also fits multiple 105mm secondary guns, a centerline mounted 560mm Gauss rifle as well as 4 Medusa Missiles Pods.
These ships form the bulk of Tula's personal fleet, (around 30 or so in peace time).
Frigate, Savanna class

Easily one of the most common warships to be found in the system, the Savanna was a class of cheaply made, yet effective multi-role frigates that were originally of Oxis design, with the first few in construction when the dock yards were taken over by the Tula forces. Tula agreed to continue these ships as long as the UN recognized Tula's Legal ownership of The Oxis Dockyard, with a few hundred of these versatile little ships for the Duration of the war.

This meant that many of these ships, under the UN "Paris" and "Charon" designations, served in the fight against the NSF.
Noted for being nearly as long as the Sovremenny Destroyers (coming in at 501 meters in length) The Savanna Class is lightly armed and armored compared to the her bigger sister class, only fitting 6 230mm Twin guns and 2 older model Archer missiles pods (the Medusa System was found to be incompatible with ships with out the FRAM 3 upgrade, meaning all but a few of the newest Paris class ships were restricted to use the older Archer system.) as well a single, 430mm rapid fire Gauss rifle. She make sup for it in being one of the cheapest warships in service if not some what obsolete by modern times. The ships can be most commonly found in Service to The UN, how ever Tula does keep a small flotilla of them on active duty as escorts for cargo haulers and mining ships, as well as atmospheric fire support due to her being the only Tula designed Warship capable of sustaining flight in an Earth like Atmosphere.

HISTORY:
The Black Sun corporation, though actually a diverse, multi-national conglomerate of various planetside and offworld companies acquired through a long process of buyouts and mergers, arguably began with the shrewdness and cunning of a single family. The Zhang family, a Han Chinese dynasty of businessmen and women, have owned and led Zhang Industries for six generations, and for nearly all of it's 200 year history. First appearing as a minor startup during the Robotics Revolution of the early 2030's, Zhang Industries quickly became rich from developing construction, drilling, and mining robots for use by Chinese companies hungry to exploit the resources of the underdeveloped interior of China and Central Asia. Vicious and cunning, the Zhang family played their cards carefully, building a small empire of resource extraction and manufacturing robotics companies with Zhang Industries as it's nucleus. After three decades of Machiavellian maneuvers, Zhang Industries, by now known as Shandong Technology Services, emerged as a true multinational in the 2060's with their first European facility, rapidly expanding into information technology, software development, the burgeoning robotics service industry, and a host of other fields. However, Shandong Industries truly excelled in one field in particular: the assassination business. First deploying small teams of mercenaries supported by legions of specialized semi autonomous combat robots, drones, and support vehicles, the company made it's name during World War III for being behind scores of high profile killings and attacks, mostly those of top military officials, politicians, public figures, and other valuable targets with enemies that would pay great sums of money for their untimely deaths. Of course, all this did not go without consequences: less than half of the Zhang family have died from natural causes. However, those who dared challenge the King of Assassins payed dearly, and usually with their life, and by the end of the war, a consensus had been reached among the military and criminal underworld alike: that it was usually easier to deal with assassins who cared more about their next contract rather than assassins who cared more about seeing your name in the obituary, one more added to the list of unfortunates who were foolish enough to cross the Zhang family.

All that changed with the rise of Oxis.

Though the Zhangs were proficient in the art of monopoly building, Oxis was something else entirely. Every single industry that existed, from agriculture, to technology, to even ridiculously niche ones like Mongolian traditional saddles or Japanese pottery, or say, android and robot assassination services, were disrupted by Oxis. The overwhelming amount of capital, the cheap, reliable products, and the massive and competent bureaucratic apparatus of the awakened Oxis dwarfed even formerly large, important multinationals like Shandong Industries like a mountain dwarfed a molehill. Even in their own field, the black clad assassins of Shandong, wreathed in shadows, were beset by even more darkly clad, even more shadow wreathed Oxis operatives. Unfortunately, as Oxis learned, one thing Shandong could not lose in was a war of assassins. The period that followed was one of the bloodiest recorded period of corporate conflict in history, with untold scores of Oxis and Shandong employees murdered during the decade long War of Assassins, lasting from 2135 to 2147. Lowly interns and superintendents alike looked over their shoulders in paranoid fear as they meandered through the endless corridors and office buildings of the corporate giants, waiting for the next phone call that would blow their cubicle to bits, or the crack of the rifle that would spell their messy ends. In the end, the War of Assassins only prolonged Shandong's inevitable demise. Beaten in every field, and their names disgraced from a disastrous mission that brought the sordid affair of the War of Assassins in the full view of the public, the corporation was near liquidation. Within a few months the last offices of the defeated company were being transferred to Oxis, repossessed, or simply left to rot. However, Oxis would soon find itself in the same position. In a day that would forever be remembered as the start of the bloodiest war in the history of mankind, the National Seccessionist Front declared war. With Oxis beset on all fronts by pirates and rebels, it had no choice but to turn to any allies it had, including it's old enemy, Shandong Industries. Reorganizing under the name "Black Sun", the conglomerate underwent an explosive revitalization, once again becoming the leader in android assassination services. Though nominally under a united front with Oxis and a host of other companies, Black Sun served the highest bidder, contracting assassination services to both Oxis, the secessionists, and a kaleidoscopic mix of militias, criminal organizations, pirate groups, and other paramilitary organizations, much to the Oxis led anti-secessionist umbrella's dismay. In the wake of the final collapse of Oxis at the conclusion of the great War of Secession, Black Sun, sticking to it's tried and true methods, snapped up valuable Oxis technology, researchers, and facilities worth trillions for dirt cheap prices, scrambling to take as much assets from the dying company as it could in the mad rush of economic growth and expansion during the post war boom period. In the void left by the end of Oxis, Black Sun has become a true mega-corporation, expanding and dominating the android market as well as continuing it's stranglehold on the assassination business, finally emerging as a leading corporate power after a long and tumultuous history. However, with the recent death of Zhang Changcheng, the heir apparent of the Black Sun empire, the corporation faces an uncertain future under the inexperienced leadership of Hestia. She will have to learn fast, and soon, for the dreaded NSF, like a corpse risen from the grave, has struck once again, and this time they intend to finish what they started.
TERRITORIES CONTROLLED: Black Sun Administrative Complex, various support, manufacturing, administrative, distribution, retail and logistical facilities in Northern China, Japan, Korea, and to a lesser degree in North America, Europe, and Russia, several orbital installations around the inner planets, and various stores and distribution/transport buildings within major inner planet colonies and arcologies. The company has nearly no influence beyond Jupiter.

NATIONALITY: Korean, Chinese (Dual Citizenship)
SEX: Female
SHORT BIO: The current executive of the Black Sun corporation, Hestia was originally intended as a 15th birthday present for Zhang Changcheng, the latest heir to the massive conglomerate of android and robotics companies that was Black Sun. Zhang, a programming and engineering prodigy as well as a businessman, quickly modified his new companion far beyond her original capabilities, and Hestia, originally designed to be nothing more than a simple tutor for the lonely young master, began to develop something akin to true sapience. As Zhang began his meteoric rise to the position of executive officer, Hestia followed by his side as his trusted adviser and closest friend, becoming privy to some of the companies' best kept secrets. However, as surely the sun sets and the moon rises, Zhang was fated to fall, and on his 30th birthday, he died in a freak spacecraft accident along with everyone else on board. As he had no children and was the only son and successor to the Zhang families' android empire, a crisis quickly developed. Suspecting sabotage, Hestia swore vengeance, but first she had to ensure that the company Zhang had willed her would not be wrenched from her hands by the line of pretenders and usurpers waiting eagerly behind her back. Using both the support of the Zhang family and her own cunning, she steadily eliminated her opposition, either through peaceful agreements and settlements, blackmail and coercion, or in some cases, staged "accidents" and cold blooded murder. Wielding the loyalty and might of Black Sun's powerful android security division like a club, she has managed to secure her rightful place as Chief Executive, leaving a bloodstained trail of body bags and broken men in her wake. However, her job is far from done. The ones who killed Zhang are still alive, and Hestia will bend heaven and earth to find them.

STANDARD INFANTRY WEAPON:
  • PA-27 "Huojian" Assault Rifle: A standard android/human infantry assault rifle with a semi auto and burst fire mode,
    meant to be deployed against heavily armored and projectile resistant targets. Rounds are standard 7.72 mm tungsten alloy railgun rounds, with different projectile tips able to be attached to inflict more damage to either biological or electrical components. High muzzle velocity and penetrative power, as well as an effective range of up to one kilometer, but sacrifices magazine space (only allows 13 rounds), and effectiveness against "soft" targets.
  • KHI Type 15 Solid State Lasgun: A high powered solid state laser beamrifle using a proprietary solid state medium that efficiently directs a 22 megajoule beam of light up to range of 500 meters. Though bulky and extremely energy intensive to use, the Type 15 can melt through armor plating, projectile vests, and walls and barricades alike. The lasgun is designed to be set up with a pivoting tripod stock for stability, and each battery pack lasts around 5 minutes at full power. Lower power settings are available for more vulnerable targets, and a "burst" mode that allows the user to expend a battery pack to discharge a high energy beam of light over a millisecond time period, using the full power of the Type 15 to melt through even the heaviest of mechs and fortifications. The lasgun usually requires a 30 cooldown period after a battery pack is used, and squad technicians should bring spare electrical and optical components, as the Type 15 has a tendency to melt parts beyond repair over periods of extended use.
  • Levant Industries "Essaim" Anti Vehicle Projectile Launcher: The Essaim AVPL is a multi round shoulder fired rocket launcher that is favored by Black Sun operatives for it's specialized ammunition. Borrowing and miniaturizing the antiquated MIRV ICBM system, each 15.6 kg rocket contains around 12 warheads, all able to independently detect and track multiple targets. Warheads are typically filled with high explosives, though plasma rounds are available at the cost of the reduction of the rocket's warhead capacity to 6.
  • Special Type 66 "Kusanagi" Battle Rifle: The signature weapon of the Black Sun Special Operations Section, the Kusanagi is a high powered coil gun (or Gauss Rifle) able to deliver over 140 megajoules of energy per shot, using both a lightning fast projectile velocity and a frightening effective range to drop targets from kilometers away. The rifle's rounds are made with a special carbon-steel alloy that allows for extreme penetrative power and impact resistance. In the hands of a skilled user, the Kusanagi can be used to successfully eliminate high value targets covertly without risk for detection like normal sniper rifles. However, the weapon suffers from a 15 second cooldown period due to the large amount of heat it generates, and a fully charged battery pack can only sustain around 10 shots before needing to be recharged. However, it is designed to be easily modifiable, and customized Kusanagis employed by operatives in the field have widly varying specs and designs. The farthest confirmed kill ever recorded with the Kusanagi was at a distance of around 7.3 kilometers.
  • BMS Mark 9 "Pinigseu": A large anti tank railgun rifle, the Pinigseu features a "slow burn" plasma drive payload and a unique design that puts the warhead after the armor penetrating round. The Pinigseu, while capable of penetrating most regular armor, derives it's popularity from the plasma drive in the main body of the round. Extremely difficult to extinguish, the plasma drive is designed to emit a steady stream of superheated plasma until it's battery bank is depleted or it's components burn out, essentially spelling death through melting for any vehicle that gets hit by the round. Though quite difficult, operatives have been reported to successfully disable aircraft with the weapon as well, and although not a practical or intended use of the Pinigseu, the results are spectacular nonetheless.
  • YC 8X "Tanto" Compact Arcgun: Featuring a miniaturized, lightweight chassis that contains a high energy capacitor and an arc torch that can quickly discharge an energized stream of plasma, the YC 8X "Tanto" is designed to be a close quarters, easy to carry and easy to conceal weapon that will literally melt the opposition. Using recent advances and miniaturization of capacitor and plasma welding technologies, the arcgun is both unconventional and surprisingly effective, allowing users to clear obstructions and create new paths within narrow corridors and tight spaces commonly found in urban facilities. However, the Tanto requires special protective gear in order to be operated safely; indeed, the large amount of heat and high energy discharges have been known to claim the life of many unwary soldiers. A grounded, electrically and thermally resistant suit with a dedicated coolant system is needed in order to use the gun for more than short bursts, so the weapon is usually restricted to Special Operations Section operatives.
  • PA "Hongyu" Magnum Coilpistol: Peking Armories' latest line of heavy self defense weapons, the Hongyu is a hard hitting hand cannon of a pistol, chambered with .44 magnum ferromagnetic steel alloy rounds. Though the recoil is difficult to control, the Hongyu boasts a muzzle velocity of around 740 m/s, allowing it to penetrate the armor and casings of battle hardened androids and even some light vehicles. Each magazine contains seven rounds as well as a built in capacitor. A popular sidearm among Security Division veterans, the a single round from the Hongyu will stop nearly anyone in their tracks.

STANDARD INFANTRY: Black Sun employs a diverse group of mercenary, private military company, and security contractor elements as part of their on site and transportation security teams. However, besides employing private groups, Black Sun also has it's own special security division composed of a mix of android operatives along with human support and administrative personnel, usually stationed at major Black Sun facilities in tandem with hired contractors. Despite it's name, Black Sun's military force is not entirely defensive. The Special Operations Section, equipped with the latest military android technology and cutting edge weapons, serves as Black Sun's own contractor unit, hiring themselves out to the highest bidder on a variety of secretive assassination, kidnapping, coercion, and extortion missions. Unrivaled within their field (usually because the Section has a tendency to literally eliminate the competition), the Section has a reputation for ruthlessness, efficiency, and protecting the confidentiality of their clients.

YC-008 "Wukong" Light Mechanized Fighting Vehicle: For the rare operation which requires more than a small team of Black Sun operatives, the YC-008 "Wukong" LMFV provides highly mobile and agile weapons platform capable of traversing dense urban cityscapes and scorched, dusty lunar plains alike. The lightly armored chassis is designed to be modifiable, ensuring each "Wukong" can be customized to meet mission requirements. Weighing in at 8 meters and around 62 tons for the base chassis, the Wukong is relatively small, lightly armored, and very vulnerable to anti armor weaponry, to the point where even heavy infantry railgun rifles can penetrate it, but compensates with exceptional speed for a mech, maglock, jump pack, and other mobility assist technology that allows it to scale near vertical slopes, and a hard hitting 35 mm rotary railgun cannon with a firing rate of around 1,000 RPM and extensive ammunition reserves. The Wukong can also temporarily perform repairs in the field with the assistance of fabrication nanobots from available environmental material, but repairs more than 10 minutes long leaves the mech in a vulnerable low power mode for up to an hour.
STANDARD COMBAT AIRCRAFT/SPACECRAFT: Black Sun aircraft are focused on infiltration and interdiction. The workhorse of the space fleet, the AS-V33 "Taka" Aerospace Superiority fighter is a lightweight, highly agile single stage to orbit fighter. In atmosphere, the plane uses standard hydrocarbon based fuel with air intakes designed for efficiency at high altitudes. The main type of interplanetary and interplanetary mode of travel emplyoed by the Taka is a dual nuclear impulse/plasma drive. Within the Kármán limit (an unofficial zone of around 300 km above terraformed planets in which nuclear impulse engine use is limited due to fears of radiation contamination), the Taka uses it's miniaturized uranium/deuterium dual fusion/fission reactor to power it's plasma drive, allowing for relatively quick low orbit travel. However, for interplanetary travel, it switches to the nuclear impulse engine, using the superior volume of plasma generated to quickly go from planet to planet. The Taka is armed with the PA-44 "Tianlong" 53 mm rotary railgun cannon, with an extensive ammunition reserve and a lightning fast firing rate of around 1,700 RPM, as well as the liquid fuel YC Mark 3 "Bakeneko" emission seeking air to air and air to surface missile. It is also equipped with cloaking technology that limit's it's EM spectrum profile when in atmospheric and low orbit mode.

BIOGRAPHY: Like most Osiris operatives, Zaid is an orphan of Osiris employees who have shown proper loyalty to the corporation. Taken in at a young age, he was educated and psychologically programmed for a future role in the corporation and tested continuously. Successful candidates pass a number of aptitude and intelligence tests and are allocated to a specific section of Osiris and then given additional training to prepare them for the role assigned. Zaid was a remarkable candidate, showing the minimal empathy and quick-thinking traits that is expected for Special Operations and was tagged and allocated for Special Operation's most covert program, that of corporate espionage and infiltration. He was given a new body as soon as his brain stopped growing, at around the age of 25, by which time Zaid had already gained a reputation for professional execution of missions (before housing in a synthetic body, candidates are given 'soft' missions, such as loyalty testing of suspected dissidents, undercover intelligence gathering in-house and personal protection detail of lower-level management).

His first mission as a fully upgraded operative was to gain information on a rival corporation's own gerontological drug program and, if necessary, delay or hinder said program. After studying the plans of the facility on Mars, Zaid opted to drop from orbit with little more than a stealthed wing-suit in the dead of night, landing perfectly on the roof of the isolated research station. He then proceeded to work his way through the building and effectively ended the corporation's research by releasing a prototype biological weapon that was being researched in the same laboratories and killing all 142 personnel at the station. As of today, the area is still under quarantine, officially labelled as an 'industrial accident'. He has performed over a couple of dozen missions since, each one ending in a satisfactory conclusion for Osiris.

We have fully-sentient AI in this RP. An AI around an entire megacorporation, as well.

Androids and robots with AI programming live among the regular population here, but we've had incidents of "remote-control riots," where large number of androids and robots go berserk and kill everything in their sight, usually by a hacker of some sort. [see Mission: RC riot, in the archive]

Feel free to use any corporations from past RPs if you'd like.



On a side note, I'll take a look at the other apps either at school, or when I get home from it.

HISTORY:
Legacy is a firm built upon the ruins of a small conglomerate of power production firms from before WWIII. The specifics are lost to time and the heritage is used as more of a namesake than anything else, made to give Legacy the image of a permanent and timeless firgure. In truth, the firm came in to being around 2180 after its founder, Nelson Arcile discovered and patented a revolutionary new form of fusion based power generation. At this point, Oxis had already crumbled under its own wait and had left a literal power vacuum amongst the colonies and governments of humanity. With a mixture of cunning, corporate brutality along with a level technological brilliance, he was able to bring his corporation into the limelight and almost monopolize standalone power generation within the inner worlds. For the next 40 years, Nelson went on to steadily build his empire in the core worlds, his crown jewel being the behemoth generator. A giant fusion power plant capable of producing untold amounts of energy but requiring a massive on-sight support staff to keep it running. In the end, he passed away at the relatively young age of 82 by the year of 2226. Since then, his protégée Janet O’Connor has taken his place as the head of the company and has gone on to revolutionize the industry.

Her first act became one of her most defining policies. Since its creation, the fusion reactors that Legacy was built on had one major flaw. Without expensive, high-end shielding, those near the generators would steadily suffer from muscle and bone degradation and deformation along with a plethora of different cancers, the effects only worsening from exposure. While the more physical problems were no longer much of a threat, Fusion Poisoning (as it had been dubbed) had been a rare, but ever-constant risk with the new power plants. Janet however, decided to focus research into the field in an attempt to finally solve and prevent the age old problem. While the details have been (purposefully) lost and scattered, the researchers eventually found ways to cancel out the risks and even go on to ‘aim’ the effects of ‘Fusion Sickness’ the result being a way to cause the manipulation of certain organs and tissues. This was the beginning of gene-therapy. After another 10 years of development, gene-therapy was finally rolled out by Legacy. “A new, sleeker alternative to augmentation” or at least that’s how it was branded, in truth the gene-therapy was far behind its electronic counter-part but made promises of protecting the human and soul elements within. By the turn of quarter, it had found a strong consumer base among the super wealthy. As it grew, the development led to the discovery of new clientele, specifically, the criminal underground and the darker parts of governments. Gene-therapy provided enhancement without the risk of detection, as a result, it became very desirable to those that needed anonymity. The moment Janet accepted the new contract, the floodgates were opened.

Military contracts, mobilization, personal units, weaponry and more were all up for grabs. The first area of development was miniaturization, smaller, portable generators were distributed across colonies and governments alike. Many were brought in to power off-world bases and labs, others used to provide for start up settlements and make-shift hospitals. As the generators continued to shrink they became even more common place. First it saw use as power packs for vehicles and ships, then for individuals before finally settling down within single weapons. By this point Legacy was a juggernaut of industry, but still new on the military block. To ensure its survival in the highly competitive industry, it worked to fill niche support roles wherever it could. Suddenly its tools were found dotted around armies and PMCs across the system. Its pelican constructors, moving supplies and outposts across lines, its PGs fitted to platoons to bolster communication and supportive fire, ARC gear began being used as squad support weapons and its mobile generators being constantly moved and dropped wherever they were needed. Inch by inch, Legacy bore its way.

The exception being behemoth classed reactors, giant buildings which produce absurd amounts of power to be cheaply sold to into its surroundings. Janet O’Connor was born and raised on mars. From a young age, she showed promise as a researcher and even went on to earn a place within legacy by the age of 18, there she continued to distinguish herself. In terms of research she became known for spearheading several key developments over the years but what made her stand out among her peers was her ambition. Janet showed herself to be a ruthless politician, forcing the best and brightest into her teams, ensuring her funding was constant then slyly making her name ever more famous through media attention. By the age of 26, she already had a seat on the board and showed no signs of slowing down. It was at this attitude that also earned her the attention of the founder, Arcile. For the next 10 years he groomed her in both politics and science however he could. Steadily raising her influence and skill in the hopes she would eventually replace him. In the end however, this dream came to pass all too soon, as gradual Fusion Poisoning eventually resulted in sudden organ failure and death. When the time came to choose his successor, Janet didn’t hesitate to fight her way to the top and take control for herself.

Her first item on the agenda was finding a cure to her now late mentor’s condition. While many chalked it up to an act of goodwill, others believe she, herself had showed signs of the same illness and became determined to remove the risk. Whatever the reason, her actions proved to be a huge success with the eventual development of gene-therapy. Seeing the opportunity, she used herself as the main advertisement of the experimental procedure. Over the course of the next few months she put herself into the program, by the end, she displayed the the physical strength needed to take on the best and a vast improvement in reaction times. And while the procedure didn’t come close to the augmentations of the time, it stayed true to its promise of leaving no evidence. The result was a boom in popularity and attention for both her and her business. From then, Janet threw herself into her work. Signing off technological developments and constantly pushing the firm into new industries both civilian and military. By the year 2251, she had practically become the face of Legacy and a constant image in the world of business.

SECURITY/MILITARY INFORMATION:


SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES:
- ARC weaponry. The newest development in the field of laser-based spray and prey automatic weapons.
- Rapid Deployment Generators (RDGs are small, stable generators commonly used in setting up military camps and operations. They can be ‘over-clocked’ to produce more power but become highly unstable as a result)
- (Classified for security purposes) Aggressive Gene Therapy. While not nearly as powerful as augmentations. AGT enhancements are nearly undetectable without a blood sample and allow for soldiers to reach far beyond their normal limits.
- Pelican Construction barges A super heavy, in-atmosphere construction ship. These slow moving airships are capable of carrying entire packed structures or vast amounts of supplies. While faster than most grounded forms of transportation, they are considerably slow for an air-vehicle.
- Shielded Personal Generators (SPGs) , as the name suggests, these power packs give energy to frontline soldiers and advanced shielding from any potential radiation leaks caused via damage. They can be forced to detonate under immense stress and are easily detected on sensors, but allow its users tactical advantages in firepower, ammunition and equipment.
-The Hadron. A devastating Laser Based super weapon. As of now, it is considered to be the most powerful weapon in the legacy’s arsenal but has several drawback that keeps it off the field. The main being how its sheer size means that even the smallest variants are too large to be used even in heavy mechs. Adding to this, the sheer scale of power needed makes it an ineffective weapon and allows for it to only fire a handful of times before needing to cool. Finally, as a laser weapon, it provides pinpoint destructive capabilities but does little to no damage to large groups.

STANDARD INFANTRY WEAPON: ARC DEFENDER G-207. The all-purpose rifle, while more cumbersome than most of its competitors, is the standard weapon for legacy personal. It is fitted with a legacy micro-generator capable of producing the energy required by the rifle. As a result the weapon can harness its power for near constant, sustained fire or single heavy anti-armour shots without the need of reloading.
STANDARD INFANTRY: Legacy Security Forces are generally equipped with similar equipment. While it focuses on providing protection over mobility its main advantage is in providing information and communication through its electronics. The result is a more adaptable and connected force of soldiers. Due to the higher costs however, its not unusual to see LSF troopers working alongside third party mercs and PMCs hired to bolster their numbers.
STANDARD MFV/MECH: The Vulture. The unit is a skirmisher among mechs. Lightly armoured, fast and armed with heavy hitting laser weaponry allow it to strike from a distance or harass forces before retreating to safety. In combat, its main advantage lies within its frame. Almost animal in nature, the heavily reinforced structure allows for greater mobility and even climbing applications but also showed a strong advantage in close combat. Finally, certain mechs to be equipped with their own generators (as seen in picture and scout units) allowing for a near bottomless supply of power at the cost of mobility and protection. Its main drawback however, is that it fails as a frontline unit. In frontal combat against mechs like the feared Type-97 it has shown to be consistently shredded.

STANDARD COMBAT AIRCRAFT/SPACECRAFT:
Breacher Class Destroyer These frigates are made to be multi-purpose military vessels. Its compartmentalised structure allows for different variants. The most common being a balanced warship made with a small hangar/cargo bay, a type AF-Reactor and a Heavy Hadron cannon plugged directly into the reactor.
Saber - Strategic Support craft Modelled after the now, ancient stealth bombers of old. The Saber is designed to move silently through the sky before doing its work. This can consist of acting as a high altitude, fire support ship. Staying above the clouds and unleashing a torrent of high accuracy laser weaponry. Or as a strategic bomber, moving in close before dropping large, ideally, devastating payloads.
Firehawk – Interceptor . These two man interceptors are made to work both in and out of atmosphere. Armed with twin linked Laser canons and a small electronic warfare suite, these vessels work as quick strike fighters. Their downside being their armour and energy supply. In the end, the fighters are glass cannons with small fuel tanks. As such, they are rarely seen far from their bases or Breacher ships.
TYPES OF UNITS:
While legacy’s forces are built from engineers, pilots, medics, commanders, mercs and the such. One other type of unit stands out and must be mentioned.
(-Highly classified-) Ghosts. These forces are the kill squads of Legacy. Given high end gene-therapy, top notch training and an array of weapons, these small teams work in humanity's underbelly to dispose of potential threats and problems in the most permanent of fashion. Usually working in teams of 3 to 5 individuals, these people can only be described relentless killers. While they have their own combat uniforms for engagements, they are often hidden among crowds and civilians and with only gene-therapy enhancements, they are nearly undetectable without tissue or blood samples. While Legacy refuses to admit so much as their very existence, their are rumors of their hit squads striking out from the shadows and being loaned to the highest bidders around the system.

These apps are looking good so far. A few notes before I go on an accepting spree later today (if I even can on my phone...):

- AI does exist fully, like I said before.
- Big spacecraft exist, but are in relatively few numbers since they're so new and expensive. For an example of an average big ship, think the Conestoga or Nostromo from Aliens.
- FTL travel doesn't exist. Yet.
- All of the planets in the solar system, save for mercury, have effectively been terraformed with Atmosphere Processing Plants. This includes the moons, save for Luna, Phobos, and Deimos.
- Energy shields do not exist yet. EMP-resistant coating does exist but don't expect a heat-resistant metal used as armor to be resistant to a few blasts from a directed energy weapon.
- Cloaking Tech exists.
- The RP will take place right after the NSF attacks the huge station above Earth, along with a number of corporations.
- A synthetic rights march is going to take place on Olympus City, Mars's biggest city.

It could be interesting to have a rivalry between the Ghosts of Legacy and the Agents of Osiris if you're up for it. Not to mention there could be a business clash between gene-therapy and pharmaceutical products (though gene-therapy is still relatively new, so it'd understandably be quite a bit behind).

I was sort of going for it being a sort of merger and extension of the current Beijing-Tianjing metropolitan area, but as you can guess a lot more massive, but as for surveillance a significant portion of the general android population especially in east Asia will be androids, so it’ll be 1984 but the AI big brother just wants to sell you the latest line of X-S Terracota security androids instead of arresting you for treason

That would be interesting, although Special Operations operatives tend to work alone or in pairs and are distinctly non-military in nature.

Tbh, if anyone recalls the old computer games 'Syndicate' or 'Syndicate Wars' they're based on the dudes from that.
