As loyal supporters of the Iron Throne, we would be remiss in our duties if we allowed this sordid state of affairs to persist. While House Baelish has no stomach for violence and no great skill at arms, Strong is a house old in honor and valiant in war, with mighty heroes scattered throughout history. It's only logical that they should lead the charge against Moat Cailin. Those pesky swamp rats shouldn't be more than a small nuisance to the likes of the great Lord Brynden Strong. The Seven will deliver those blasphemers who worship trees into your hands with ease.

Time to help them build up their positions out of the goodness of my heart. New houses have got to stick together.

With all due respect my lord, if you want Moat Cailin you can march up there and take it yourself. Unless you want to come and make us?

Don't worry, the Tyrells will handle this. We may not know who the King on the Iron Throne should be, but we know his name is certainly not Stark.

Ah, defiance.

Writes letters to Lord Flammen, Lord Mooton, Lord Cox, Lord Piper, and a few branches of House Mudd.

I suppose I'll put the Mudds in the front line. Two birds, one stone, and all that.

I'm sure King Cregan will be more than willing to take advantage of a siege at Riverrun on his march south. Mudds and Strongs aren't the enemy here Baelish, you'd do well to remember that.

Has a conniption fit at the prospect of troops from the Reach marching up the Kingsroad.

And you'd do well to check your ambitions, Mudd. Truculence towards your liege-lord is treason. :p

This is going to be a fun dynamic. I wholly expect Baelishes to die in scores since they derive much of their power from their allies and commerce. They're armies are miniscule, even compared to most of their banner-men. They've got their cousins in the Vale, who despise them, their economic rivals in the Reach, who pretend not to know they exist, and a couple dozens banners who are just waiting for them to collapse under the strain. Not to mention the potential for a civil war in the south and wolves hurling down from the north.

Go with the Marbrands or Crakehalls. They're underappreciated, and apparently have a history of producing extremely competent soldiers. It was Ser Addam Marbrand who took over the City Watch at Lord Tywin Lannister's suggestion after all.

All Hail King Cregan Stark-Targaryen

I'd just like to point out that "Fuck the King!" has five times as much support as the Stark usurper. Never mind that it's the most popular option. Of the claimants, the rightful king, Jaehaerys Targaryen, the Third of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm, and above grammar, possesses the most support. All hail the one true king! The second coming of the Mannis!

Right now there are two Strongs, I guess we probably have some cousins, but not important enough to marry the Lannisters.

And that's forgetting that Harrenhal guards the northern approach to King's Landing; if the North wants to get to King's Landing, they'll have to take Harrenhal or they'll have an enemy fortress on their line of supply/retreat.

Precisely. The logical move would be to either placate the Starks or halt any advance at Moat Cailin by dispatching Lord Flammen and Lord Strong to seize the castle, probably with Ser Jasper Baelish or one of Lady Diana's sons leading the army. I haven't really decided on Lord Corwyn's behavior yet, though it's probable he'll request permission to send a delegation to the North in a bid to avoid a civil war.

If Lord Baelish isn't willing to send his own men up there, then House Strong wont lift a finger. Send the Pseudo-Freys up there, I'm sure they'll do fine on their own.
