Lore Introduction
History of Westeros since 301 AC (Credit to Warg the Immortal for writing a lot of the lore.)
The Premise
The Summary
Welcome to a Dream of Spring, an RP several months in the making. This RP takes place in 401 AL, one hundred years after the Invasion of the Others. Westeros was in peril for many years after surviving the invasion, and only during Gaemon's reign did the realm finally start to recover. Through the Reconstruction Act laid out by Gaemon did the realm prosper. Keeps were rebuilt, along with roads. Jobs were created and eventually the debts of the Iron Throne were paid off. The population started to rise, though no where close to it's previous number.
Now with the great Gaemon dead, and the line of succession in question it's up to you to decide who to support. Do you support Daeron, as he wields House Targaryen's Valyrian steel sword, Blackfyre. Or perhaps you support Jaehaerys as he holds the last hope for the dragons? Or maybe you support Cregan, descendant to both Rhaegar and the legendary hero Jon Stark. Or maybe yourself? No matter who you support, it will be up to you, to decide their fate. Whether through war or diplomacy, only one may sit the Iron Throne. Many paths lay open to you...
1. The OP and Co-ops are Gods, their word is law.
2. This is a fantasy RP but try and be realistic. Travel time, combat, and politicking are all important, don't go too crazy
3. No god modding, metagaming etc.
4. This is going to be a freeform RP, time will vary between posts.
5. This will be an RP based on character development and progression, do not expect storylines to develop for you, make your own and involve other players. If you are stuck with nothing to do, OP/CO-OP will give your a task or an idea.
6. Keep the Lore restricted to A Song of Ice and Fire material only
7. Please keep characters in the Free Cities, Westeros and the Stepstones. If character is all the way over in let's say Yi Ti they wouldn't get much interaction.
8. We operate on a three strike system, three strikes and you're out
9. Have FUN
You may make your own house, however, they will be subject to stringent review, and canon houses are preferred. A new house may invent a new castle, but will not be able to take over lands or titles from a canon house. Your application will not be accepted until all fields are filled out. Custom Houses may only be low lords and are not allowed to have vassals. Custom Houses are not allowed Valyrian Steel Swords.
A DREAM OF SPRING RULE: Due to some houses going extinct during the war with the Others, some houses have replaced them. As long as you give a good reason why your house has replaced the original, then you are allowed to replace a canon house. However, all Lord Paramount houses (minus Tully) are in charge of their de jure title. Only House Baelish is different as they rule Harrenhal and the Riverlands. (Also any houses that are mentioned in the timeline are still around by 401 and thus cannot be replaced.)
