Every continent faces its challenges. In Europe people grow restless with the European Union. Waves of millions of migrants from Africa and the Middle East surge into Europe and great tension in the European nations. In addition Brexit looms over the EU like a shadow. To the East Russia looms with a more aggressive foreign policy. In Africa the nations face instability and poor economies. Terrorism also threatens many, especially in the Sub-Saharan region. In the Middle East nations are plagued by terrorism and insurgency. A Cold War is brewing in the region between Sunni Saudi Arabia and Shi’a Iran. ISIS spreads its tentacles through the region even as it looses territory. Asia is the new Balkans. North Korea threatens nuclear war. China pushes for domination in the South China Sea. South America faces the crumbling of democracy. Venezuela is locked in battle between the President and the people. In North America changes are coming. The newly elected and soon to be sworn in US President promises to shake things up both at home and abroad. This is the world we find ourselves in. Now go and lead your nation through these trying times. Or lead them to ruin. Everything rests on your shoulders.

Through diplomacy and other means you will take the role as the leader of a nation. Wether that nation is a power like America or a seemingly unimportant state like Kazakhstan, one thing is certain, your actions will shape the nation and the world.

Vladimir Putin was born in Leningrad in the Soviet Union. He studied law at the Saint Petersburg State University, graduating in 1975. Putin was a KGB foreign intelligence officer for 16 years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring in 1991 to enter politics in Saint Petersburg. He moved to Moscow in 1996 and joined President Boris Yeltsin's administration, rising quickly through the ranks and becoming Acting President on 31 December 1999, when Yeltsin resigned. Sonia Mishra was born to a lower upper class family in the Karnataka province of india. She would go to school at Cambridge graduating with a masters in economics, returning home she would take control of her father’s automotive business. During her tenure as CEO she would massively increase the profits of the company, and employ tens of thousands of people.
In 2010 she would run for Chief Minister of Karnataka as a member of the Indian National Congress and would win a large victory owing in part to the coalition she established with the All India Trinamool Congress. Her time as governor would be marked by massive social reforms and a policy of economic liberalization and privatization, cutting regulations and facilitating an economic boom to the province. Mishra was now a rockstar in the party and across India.
In 2014 she ran for Prime Minister and won a narrow victory mostly due to various errors committed by the BJP and RSS. As Prime Minister she continued her policies based on a neoliberal framework. Encouraging foreign investment and allowing money to pour into the economy. Infrastructure was made a priority as well as reforming various labor laws and making the nation more business friendly. She would skillfully navigate the backlash against the labor reforms which took the form of a largescale strike in 2016, regardless in 2015 after just a year in office India grew at a rate of 7.5% making it the worlds fastest growing large economy.
These profits were directed to poverty reduction and education, the goal being to create the most technically literate population in the world. Welfare spending declined to make way for many education programs as well as to compensate for lowering taxes. In 2015 she announced a program to develop “Smart Cities” with the dual goal of eliminating slums and building 20 million affordable homes focused on bringing in IT jobs by 2022.
