Kiser House

Brandon sat on the couch in the living as he watched the History channel. He felt his head slowly nodding as he fought against the tiredness but he didn't give in and kept watching. The trip to Cancun had been fun and he enjoyed spending quality time with his sisters and cousins, which was rare now days especially with him and his older sister who was more liberal leaning. Focusing back on the tv he sat there hoping none of his family would come and interrupt him.

Kiser House: Jacqueline

The trip to Cancun was exhilarating for the freespirited, thrillseeking Jacqueline, even if a tad bit over stimulating . When the family finally made it back home she immediately went up stairs for some much needed alone time and relaxation. She fancied older music, especially classical, funkadelic, and classic rock...she decided to play "Not Just Knee Deep" by Parliament on her stereo system, she turned up her amplifer and started playing along on her electric guitar.

She looked forward to going out a bit later to drive her bright green Porsche 968, which she named Spearminty, who she loved dearly.

Kiser House

Brandon was enjoying learning about the D-day invasion on the History channel when suddenly his sister, Jackie, blare her music using a damn amp. Other people lived here for crying out loud. Getting up he sprinted up the stairs and walked past his room down to the end of the hall where Jackie’s room was. Without knocking he threw open the door and yelled “Shut the fuck up! I’m trying to watch the History channel and I can’t hear anything over your damn hippy drug user music!”

Stephanie “Auntie Steph” & Ștefania Daciana Crăciun

The little vacation in Cancún had been nice and all, but there were still a few things that needed to be done. Her daughter needed to be enrolled in school, and there were all sorts of last-minute paperwork that needed to be submitted very soon. The living room, at least the way she was used to it, was usually where she dealt with the matter, since she could sit back and look at the papers while being nice and comfortable. Hopefully whatever fees there were wouldn’t break the bank. Retirement funds were not looking bright, but maybe a discount could be snagged by becoming a teacher at the school.

There was a tentative opening as an English teacher for the sophomores and juniors of the same school, but that application would have to wait until Ale—or rather Ștefania, as was official now, was enrolled. Savings would get them by for a while, but lack of education wasn’t a deficit that was as easy to bounce back from.

Looking through the applications, alongside her and her daughter’s legal information, there would need to be a little conversation with the administration of the school regarding a few things. Texas was a big place, so surely this wasn’t the first time they’d have had to deal with such a thing. Brandon ran upstairs all of a sudden, likely from the loud music, so she used the opportunity to nudge the volume on the television down just a little.

Daciana, in the meantime, was just settling in to one of the guest bedrooms, which happened to be inconveniently attached to văr Brandon’s through a bathroom, which he and his siblings evidently used to stow away stuff they didn’t feel like keeping in their room. She didn’t wanna touch the stuff, as she was family but still a guest. At least she had gotten away with putting up a picture of her father’s family next to that of her mother’s, as well as a cheeky little Romanian patriotic poster.

She’d just finished unpacking and getting everything maybe an hour before văr Brandon stormed upstairs and yelled at vară Jackie. She was just about to turn up the volume on her earbuds when none other than her own mother’s voice echoed up from downstairs. The school applications, naturally. Those were certainly to be fun.

“Vin, vin!” she yelled as she grabbed a pencil and pen from her bag, shut off her devices, and hurried downstairs to find her mother. She sat down on the couch nearest to the chair her mother sat in, and her mother wordlessly handed her the papers she needed to figure out. The television wasn’t the best thing to have on while filling out forms, but it was some white noise while doing such tedious business. Besides, somebody else put it on so it was best not to start fights so early. Văr Brandon seemed a rather irritable person anyway. There were worse things anyway. For one, the birth certificate and other legal stuff still insisted she was male, so that was sure to be fun.

Jacqui was really vibing and getting into the groove of the song as she play along, her fingers rapidly glided effortlessly back and forth along the strings of her guitar. Then suddenly her door flew open and her younger brother, Brandon, barged into her room uninvited. She stopped playing abruptly and walked up to her brother til they were face to face.

"Why don't you get out of my room?"

She poked him in the stomach with the top of her guitar.

"Just turn up your government propaganda, that's what the volume is for."

Brandon scowled and hit her guitar away saying "I am watching the History Channel not CNN. I am sorry if you don't know what the History channel is since your too busy getting high and fighting the system." Pushing past her, he quickly grabbed at the amps cords and yanked them hard stopping the noise but possibly breaking the wiring in the cords.

"Finally that shit stops."

Anna Kiser

Ah, back to her normal life. The trip to Cancun had been a whirlwind of pleasure and family time, but every minute Anna couldn’t help feeling guilty as the destitute watched the rich American family seemingly not care. It sure didn’t feel good.

But now, she was back and among the rich, for better or for worse. Anna sighed as she slowly clomped up the stairs. Couldn’t they see that they were all a bit selfish? Although that may be hypocritical, considering that she was rich as well.

In one moment, Anna was by herself, slowly making her way up the stairs. In the next, she was pushed out of the way by her twin brother as he almost ran up the stairs, seemingly intent on quieting the music that had just started from her older sister’s room. Anna slowly recovered and flicked slightly as she heard a bout of curse words come from the doorway to the room. She quickly scaled the rest of the stairs to see Brandon pull the cords from his sister’s music maker.

Anna cringed slightly and glided acrossed the floor to the doorway of her older sister’s room. She spoke softly, but her voice never wavered. “ Come Brandon, leave your sister alone. There is no need for infighting; can’t you both compromise for peace? Think of what Jesus would want you to do.” Anna fingered her necklace, pleading that the two would listen to her. That would be a rare instance, for sure.

Jacqueline "Jacqui" Kiser

Jacqui was enraged that Brandon would just yank her cords like that, and as she was just about to give her brother the business end of her guitar, Anna came by with a plea for peace.

She didn't want to upset her little sis, Jacqui simply decided to drop the argument, walking over to the nightstand to grab her car keys.

"Fine. Wanna take a ride with me for a bit Anna?"

Brandon Kiser

Brandon let go of the cords before saying “I may have overreacted a bit. I’m..... sorry about your amp. I can buy you a new one.” Standing there for a minute he then said “Mom doesn’t want anyone to leave.” Although Brandon sorta hoped that Jackie wouldn’t obey and take them both with her.

Jacqueline "Jacqui" Kiser

Jacqui smiled at Brandon," Where good lil bro, material things are replaceable. Don't worry about buying a new one I have another amp.....somewhere in here."

Now of course she wasn't much of a fan of rules, Jacqui did what she felt like doing, so her brothers unannounced wish was about to be granted, "Eh, I have my own car and a drivers license....it'll just be a quick spin, wanna come along?", she said in a teasing manner, spinning her keys around on her pointer finger.

He remembered always wanting to do what she was doing and even running to her room in the middle of the night if he was scared instead of going to his parents. Nodding he said “Sure I’ll go. But you’ll take the blame if mom gets mad right? You know her Swedish temper.”

Anna Kiser

Anna’s heart lit up when the two made up, almost instantly, although she did grimace a bit when the two tossed around words related with wasting money. She let out an almost satisfied smile and spoke softly. “ No thank you. I have better things to do.” Anna spun on her heel and walked out of the doorframe, down the long hallway and into her room. She walked over to her bed and flopped down on it, watching the white fan spin, around and around. Thats one good thing I’ve done today, how many more can I get?

Hana for one was glad to be back. Although the trip had been fun, the amount of actual human interaction had been a little overwhelming, and she was thankful that she could finally jump back onto her computer. Before she could actually load up a game there was the sound of loud guitar music that suddenly cut off and was followed by muffled shouting. Walking slowly up the stairs all the way to the second floor, she poked her head around the corner just in time to see her cousin Anna ask her two older cousins, the ones who had been shouting, she guessed, "what would Jesus do?"

She thought this was entirely out of context because she didn't think Jesus would be arguing with his non-existent siblings about loud guitar music. She mentally hit herself for taking things literally again. Then, to her surprise, it worked, both of her older cousins stopped arguing and made up, and then started talking about going for a ride. When her cousin Anna spun around to go to her room, Hana jumped back reflexively, almost falling down the stairs. Satisfied that this distraction to her video gaming had been resolved, she started creeping her way back downstairs.

Jacqui was equally thrilled that her brother wanted to ride with her, the two had alway been close, and he was often her partner in crime when they were younger. She missed that, the siblings having less time to spend together as their interests diverged over the years...

"Of course, like I'm going to let my little brother take the heat! Well let's get going!!!"

She slipped her shoes on and made her way outside, to wait for Brandon. She had turned on her 968 to warm it up and let down the convertable top, in preparation for their get away.

Stephanie “Auntie Steph” Crăciun

While her daughter filled out the forms at a surprisingly fast pace, blitzing through them like a runaway train through the countryside, Stephanie took notice of her niece heading outside, clearly rather excited. She overhead the quarrel and resolution between Jacqueline and Brandon, as the house was rather echoey, and her years of teacher trained her ears to be extra sensitive towards such matters. It occurred to her that perhaps that might be a good time to inject Ștefania into the family dynamic and get her to get to know her cousins a bit better, as they’d be living with one another for a good while. She placed the form she’d just finished down on the coffee table, and headed outside to find Jacqui.

“Jacqui, dear, would you mind if Daciana tagged along with you?” she said to her niece, “If you wouldn’t mind, I’d like you to get to know one another. She’s a bit shy, so I’m trying to push her to get to know her cousins. Is that alright with you, dear?”

A note regarding Ștefania Daciana: She is referred to by her family as Daciana to avoid confusion with her mother, while to people outside of the family she is referred to as Ștefania.

Cousin Tommy

The wind blew through Tommy's mid-length hair as he cruised through the streets of Austin. No one was on the road due to New Years and he couldn't find his helmet from where he had left it in the bar the previous night, so when he had finally departed from his small apartment there this morning, he decided to blow caution to the wind. As he had not gone to Cancun he had had the house to himself for a few days. Arriving at the house, he punched in the security code for the front gate and rode his motor bike in. Had he not been part of the neighborhood for the past 18 years, the middle-aged mediteranean looking man would have drawn some suspicion entering the Kiser house.

Arriving at the garage, he unexpectedly found Jackie, one of Jonathen's twins. He smiled when he saw her and said in his thick new york accent "Oh hey, youse guys are back. How was Cancan or wherever you were?

Jacqui

Jacqueline was sitting in her car, starting to wonder what was taking Brandon so long
when suddenly her Aunt Stephanie popped up next to her driver's side, which startled her.

"Ohhh...shit! Oh yeah, sure. Daci can come along with I don't mind at all"

She admittedly didn't know her cousin very well at all, but family was family, and the more the marrier in Jacqui's book. She'd love the chance to have some bonding time with her brother and her cousin.

Stephanie “Auntie Steph” & Ștefania Daciana Crăciun

“Wonderful!” Stephanie replied, “Thanks for taking her with you. Better she get to know her cousins than bury her face in whatever site is interesting at the moment. I simply can’t keep track of those things. I guess I’m just from a different time, but I remember when Facebook was the cool thing. I guess us older geezers scared off all the kiddos. Ah, but listen to me and my tangents. I’ll go get her.”

As she walked back to the door, she saw her brother, and smiled and nodded to greet him as she went back inside. She found her daughter, still working away at the forms, seemingly near finished, and tapped her on the shoulder.

“Ștefania, dear, your cousins are going out in your cousin Jacqui’s nice car. They’re fine with having you, so why don’t you go join them? Get to know them a bit and maybe get a bit of vitamin D while you’re at it. I’ll finish filling these out for you, since those pages don’t need you to answer,” she said.

Ștefania sighed as she placed her pen down. She’d much rather work on her applications for school, but evidently that wasn’t happening. Her mother didn’t ask for much, and they were her cousins after all.

“Bine, mă duc cu ei,” she said as she got up and headed out.

Her long clothes would be good for the brisk weather, in spite of the possibility that her hair and top of her dress might billow rather annoyingly in the wind if they drove more quickly with the top down.

She headed out to the garage, and went over to the car. She took brief notice of her uncle, whose name had embarrassingly slipped her mind, before looking Jacqui directly in the eye.

“Jacqueline, do you want me to go in the back?” she said, pronouncing Jacqueline more akin to Jock-oo-lean.

Francis Kiser

He steps out the back door of his old military home, and walks down to his car.

As he steps in, he's thinking about the fun he'll have, because the kids don't know that he has come back from Afghanistan yet, in fact they probably don't even know whether he is alive.

He turns the keys and his engine rumbles to life. He drives out of his driveway, turns, and slowly, his house fades out of sight.

He sighs, thinking about everything that has happened over the last few months, and what was going to happen. As he drove down the highway, he felt many emotions, but most of all it was happiness. He was happy he got promoted to Captain, and most of all, he was happy he was going to meet his cousins, oh boy, he missed them a lot.. A few moments later, his GPS interrupts his thoughts with a loud "TURN LEFT ON EXIT 133c FROM I-35 S".

He turns, now getting closer and closer to the Kiser home by the minute. He felt a burst of excitement, happy to be alive to see them. He felt not only happiness, but sadness, that his fallen men at arms could not experience the joy of seeing family again.

Francis, wanting to think on the bright side, turned up the radio, and turned to a station that was playing "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, one of his favorite songs, as he turns onto the Kiser's street

Warwick Kisei

The trip to and from Cancun was, tiring to say the least, or should the young man say exhausting? Oh well, not that it matters, what matters is that he’s back home, and he wants to race his trusty AE86 in whatever nearby mountain roads were available. He immediately found himself a place to sit in as well as a whole carton of milk, he really wanted to be taller than the rest, and so he began chugging down a whole carton of milk.

Then word came out of cousin Jackie wanting to go for a drive, and he broke the silence with a quick “Can I come too?”.

Brandon’s eyes visibly lit up when his sister asked if he wanted to come. For all of their differences he did love all of his siblings and honestly secretly looked up to Jackie and had ever since they were little. He remembered always wanting to do what she was doing and even running to her room in the middle of the night if he was scared instead of going to his parents. Nodding he said “Sure I’ll go. But you’ll take the blame if mom gets mad right? You know her Swedish temper.”

Brandon Kiser

Brandon smiled and followed her downstairs. He could drive his own truck or his car he had rebuilt but he was hoping this would provide some good bonding time.

Getting downstairs he threw on his letterman jacket and his shoes braving for the 36 degree day outside. Even in Texas it got cold occasionally. Brandon had to hold back a grimace when his aunt asked if his cousin could come. He had been hoping for some nice brother-sister bonding but he figured he could force her into the back and ignore her. Going outside he got in the car’s passenger seat as his cousin got in the back. He just hoped she would be silent. Looking at Jackie he said “You ready sis?”

Tommy

As multiple people entered the garage and ignored him, Tommy froze in a mock expression of suprise before saying "Ah, I sees what you are doing here. The ole ignore Cousin Tommy trick. I thought youse guys grew out of that when youse was like six but I guess I was wrong. Anyways, I'm gonna head in and make some food. Any of youse are welcome to join me, as I'm making some pasta the New York way."

With that Tommy walked inside and began to prep for cooking in the Kitchen.

Lucas Kiser

Mexico was certainly one of the more interesting places Lucas had been, if a little awkward. By his experience, the poorer the country the weirder looks you got for being disabled: it made very little sense, after all poor countries surely had worse medical care than richer ones, and so you would naturally get more disabled people, right? But as it was, he received some rather strange glances and was happy to give them back: after all if you can't make the people trying to make you feel uncomfortable uncomfortable in their own right, you'd let them beat you.

Right now he was sitting in his room, on his laptop. He'd plugged the powerful computer into a 2-monitor system giving him a good view of the area around his character: high-definition brilliance surrounded him. The forest was rather gloomy at this time of the in-game night, and the small party of characters had to be careful. Hidden dangers lurked, or could lurk, behind every tree and in every thick patch of undergrowth: each one of them was conscious that at any moment a cry of alarm could come from one of the outermost members of the party; but it didn't, and for a time all was peaceful.

Lucas scanned around himself for prey, since without anything to kill or quests to complete, free experience was free experience. And so when he saw her, the lone character, him and his friends pounced.

He flicked onto a public channel, one that Hana was known to use, and sang in a high-pitched, mocking voice 'I'm going to kill you'

Cyril Kiser

Age was just a number, so the saying went, but 74 was a pretty big number. Representative Cyril J. Kiser was a 7-term congressman and still enjoyed his job: every day though, it got a bit more tiring. On days like this, what he wanted to do was ddrive around the city in his big, English-built bently with its roof down and country music blaring; then, he'd go and see his grandkids.
He'd told Johnathan one thing: if you want me to be able to come on your holiday book it in advance, because 3 weeks is a lot of time off to request. Had his son listened? No. Not one bit...and so Cyril simply hadn't gone, that was the long and short of the matter. Instead, he'd championed loosening background check requirements and lowering the abortion threshold: good conservative policies to make the nation strong, safe and proud again. After all, wasn't that what the new president wanted? And Donald Trump had no greater supporter than Cyril J. Kiser, of Austin Texas.

His grandkis were a motley lot whose names he sometimes even remembered. They were all good in his eyes though, however to Cyril if your second name was Kiser you'd probably have to be a murderer or a pedo...or say 'nancy Pelosi is a bright woman'...for him to not think you were a 'good person. Punching in his access code to the gates, he drove the huge growling car into the driveway, climbed out and opened the house door...he was simply on the lookout for anybody.

Brandon

As Warwick asked the question Brandon turned to Jackie and, using his eyes a facial expression hoping she would understand, indicated he didn’t want him to come. He didn’t mind Warwick but this was supposed to have been a brother-sister bonding time and already a cousin had joined in to Brandon’s dismay.
