Would you guys be okay with time modifiers added to the infrastructure, as in, it takes time to build buildings?

Hmm. I think we tried that before, and while it enhanced realism, it also added to the complexity of our bookkeeping. Which most folks already find pretty intimidating.

I'll have a post up tomorrow or so, hopefully. Work and a puppy have ran me ragged this week.

Puppies tend to do that to people

As a side note, I won't be able to post from the 14th to the 16th of this month as I will be out of town.

^ agreed

I had tried implementing it previously. You can create an optional rule that permits people to build structures in stages, portions of the credits, but not receive benefits until the project is completed.

IIRC we allow that currently with orbital infrastructure because it is so expensive. Probably not a good idea to generalize it though.

So just how did the Citadel Fleet get a hold of the Destiny Ascension? I need to know for my post, and how relations with the Citadel will be.

Working on Pros/Cons and the map as well.

The Savage Spur, I don't remember making it.. nor do I know where it is presently.

I'll also help NAI by adjusting that table to include the Geth territories and likely try and round out the table with a few randomized clusters.

Edit: Now I know why the Savage Spur isn't on any of my maps.. its not in the same format as my other clusters.

-.- we do need Torfan though.. I suppose I'll go find where Torfan was in my old threads

Matriarch Lidanya, commander of the Asari fleet attachments to the Systems Alliance fleet for the Battle of Earth, captained the Destiny during the naval engagement, and later held it as her flagship when she returned to serve as admiral of the Citadel Defense Fleet. However Lidanya was later transferred off-ship to take command of the 2nd/6th Fleet, and would later end up as an Imperial Republican Warlord.

As for how its crew remained...blame the Systems Alliance for their complete take over of the upper echelons of command (and the Citadel military itself) and threat of violence against the Asari crewmembers should they try and desert their post.

Oh and legally three Asari states claim ownership, so the Council couldn't (read: didn't want to) give it to one state in the event of another winning the coming civil war.

EDIT: above is just a rushed ten minute job taking from what North has said, as well as the descriptions of Luna's and Elerian's apps

Technically their post is with the Asari navy, not with the Citadel Fleet though.

But basically threats, right.

What? If ownership is up for debate.. Illium could act as a.. Caretaker of the Asari Warship.

There's also that there could have been disputes among the crew over which government constituted the legitimate government, and unable to resolve said dispute they chose to remain under Citadel command until the end of the situation.

Blane the Citadel Fleet, we had no part taking the ship. Its not our fault the Asari didn't have a functioning government.

I'm picturing that as a renegade interrupt by the Citadel leader when he finally has enough of the Asari arguing over who owns it.

Actually what probably happened was the Asari stopped paying the payments and the car company just reprocessed it. Probably did a number on your people's credit.

Might not have been directly responsible, but their decision to remove the Asari from the Council certainly didn't help the political instability coming after the reveal of the whole secret cabal coming out. And the apparent lack of any support afterwards. ' Asari overtures to the Council fell on death ears'

Ah yes, "Asari Credit" we have dismissed that claim.

Don't listen to the humans asari, it was totes the human's fault. Or the turians. Actually yeah, it was the turians AND humans. Turians wanted to maintain the power of the Citadel fleet (which makes sense) but then when they left the humans wanted it for themselves through their proxy Citadel >:( Salarians have no need or interest for big ships. See back when we were just common reptilian warriors, our big ships were nothing more than mobile gun platforms. What humans call Dreadnoughts (back in WW1 days) we simply sailed up a river and sank it into the swamp to hold the area, then dredged it up to move. Our killers were the gunboats, which, Rambo style, or Apocalypse Now if thats more your taste, gunned our rivals down. Indeed, we carried this philosophy into the stars. The Destiny is a vanity project we don't care for, nothing more. It is the turians and humans, natural *spits* predators that see it as a weapon.

So there, boom. Reasons.
