Theyra wrote:Faction: Drell Conclave
Leader: Kakan Niol
Citadel Council member Y/N or N/A: N
Brief description of diplomatic relations: Somewhat Isolationists but have good relations with most council races excluding the Hanar who have a strain relations with the Conclave. Limited relations with non-Council races but, have mostly good relations with the Quarians.
Military state of readiness: Medium to High, due to the how close Namakil is to Terminus Systems and the strong desire to keep the Conclave safe from attackers.

History: The Drell Conclave has existed before as a group that was formed before the Reaper war. The group was formed by Kakan Niol and it's goal was a independent Drell Nation. Kakan always had respect for the Hanar due to them saving their race but, always wanted the Drell to form their nation rather then permanently serve the Hanar. This idea was reinforced after seeing how Drell traditions were starting to die off in favor of Hanar traditions and feared that the Drell culture would die off. Plus, the humid nature of Kahje, forces the Drell to live in climate-controlled dome cities or eventually get Kepral's Syndrome. He started to share his ideas with others and slowly over time he managed to gain followers. This continued despite resistance from both the Hanar and other Drell who believe that the Drell should not give up the Compact.

By the time of the Reaper War, he had a significant amount of credits and followers but, temporary put his plans on hold in order to fight the reapers. Kakan despite his ideas, fought with the Hanar against the Reapers and ultimately survived the war. After the war, Kakan saw opportunity in post-war galaxy and decided that this was the time to start his plan. He scouted multiple planets and decided that the abandoned world of Namakli in the Pylos Nebula would serve as a new home for the group and with time may be considered the new homeworld of the Drell. The group would arrived and claimed the planet for themselves. Now they start to build up their territory while also clearing out the last of the Vorcha packs remaining on Namakli.

Infrastructure and Claimed Worlds:
Namakli(Near-Garden World for Drell) - 1 Planetary Fuel Depot, 1 Mining Complex, 1 Urban Area, Ground Fortifications lvl. 1

Military:
a) Ground Forces: 1 (Kakan Niol)Elite Specialist(Combat Biotics, Stealth Training,Close Combat Specialization), 2 Drell Spec-ops team, 1 Infantry Division, 1 Gunship Wing

b) Space Fleets:
Defense Fleet- 2 frigates(free), 2 Corvette Pack
Civilian- 1 habitation ship(free), 3 mining ships(free)

RP Example: RoD Sample

Before I allow an increase in funds for you, can you explain why they hate the hanar now with a little more depth.

Presumably defiance of the Compact/responsibility for pseudo-enslaving the Drell/erasing their culture.
TG if you have questions about RP. If I don't know the answer, I know someone who does.

:p Aye, was just easier to total it for each system (the red number besides the blue total system incomes) so that I don't have to delete them all for the monthly incomes.

The only reason I ask is because the Drell at first seemed pretty fine with it, I was wondering what caused such a massive shift.

The Drell Conclave do not hate the Hanar per say, just want the Drell to be independent and at this rate not permanently serve the Hanar. The Conclave do not wish to return to the Hanar and I imagine when a sizable group of Drell leave the Hanar and give up the Compact. The Hanar may not be okay with that since, the Drell have been taking up the Compact for two hundred years and the Drell are important to them since they help with tasks that the Hanar can not do on they own. When a group leaves and could possibly attract other drell to leave to join them, that can cause tensions.

So will the Council be aggressive and try to colonize in the Terminus like they usually do? I know the Alliance would probably want to secure the Traverse and such.

Everything should be good. I'll go over my maths again later on to triple check everything.

Faction: The Thessian Autocracy
Leader: Autark Seyeka Nyxemi
Citadel Council member Y/N or N/A: No
Brief description of diplomatic relations: Cold with the Salarians and Humans, slightly less cold towards the Turians. Currently in a cold-war like state with the other Asari splinter factions. Warm towards Illium, neutral towards most others.
Military state of readiness: The Autocracy is more or less a military state, and thus the military readiness is always maintained at high levels.

History: To say that the post-war situation in Asari space was chaotic would be an understatement. With the fall of Thessia and the devastation the Reapers had wrought, Asari civilization was on the verge of being shattered. The Asari had just barely began picking themselves up again when the leak of information about the Protean data and the lack of response from Asari leadership saw mass riots across the core worlds of Asari space, the people demanding answers and arrests. Three weeks later their disbelief and anger turned to shock when the Salarians called for the Asari Republics to be liquidated and for their seat on the council to be revoked. The anger quickly returned when the vote was passed, but this time the anger was directed outwards. The very institution their species had had a major hand in creating had turned against them at the worst possible time, and for the Salarians to call such a vote, while their fleets had remained in their own systems and not joined the final battle against the Reapers, was a betrayal that will not be forgotten.

After the liquidation Asari civilization finally shattered, and the Republics split into three segments, each segment more or less breaking along the lines of which system cluster they found themselves in. The Athena Nebula was formed into the Asari Republics of Thessia, a government that wished to return to how things were, and try to rebuild their standing in the galaxy. The government ended up becoming highly unpopular, as it followed the former ways where everyone got a vote, and with Asari ideals so different in the current age nothing really got done. The unpopular government and general mood of the Asari within the Republics of Thessia would lead to the rapid ascent of one figure, Seyeka Nyxemi .

The Nyxemi name was one well known on Thessia, and in Asari space in general, as Alenai Nyxemi had been a widely popular Matriarch known for putting Asari interests first and foremost. In reality she had been a leading member of the secret shadow cabal that had lead the Republics behind closed door, though she was killed during the Reaper War, but her name had avoided being revealed to the public, and thus the Nyxemi name was still one of honor and high poplarity.

Seyeka was the eldest daughter of Alenia, and had established a name for herself in the Republics as an accomplished Asari commando and leader, as well as a galaxy renowned biotic, moving out from her mothers considerable shadow with relative ease. She fought with distinction in the Reaper War, especially the Battle for Thessia. After the war and in the chaos that followed Seyeka again earned a degree of fame among the Asari when she lead forces on Thessia in a successful defense against forces allied with Matriarch Lidanya, of the newly formed True Asari Republic.

Once things had settled down slightly Seyeka quickly became dissatisfied with the ruling government and became a very vocal critic of it. She amassed a large following in short order, thanks to the widespread dissatisfaction and anger in the Athena Nebula. Seyeka spoke out against returning to the old ways, claiming that everyone having a voice had lead the Asari to the situation they were in now. She also pushed an agenda of revanchism and revenge against the Asari splinter factions and hinted at the Council itself.

By 2189 Seyeka had a majority following and lead a bloodless coup against the current ruling Matriarchs, disbanding the Asari Republics of Thessia and proclaiming the founding of the Thessian Autocracy. She was meet with cheering and highly motivated crowds, and set to work at once rebuilding Thessia, and in the general chaos of massed construction she had her main opposition removed, having most of them arrested on evidence of supporting the splinter factions of the True Asari Republic and the Asari Remnant.

Centralizing the Asari state, such as it was, was a surprisingly smooth process for a people who were used to a total democratic system for thousands of years, but the trumping up of the betrayal angle did wonders to instill a sense of nationalism within the citizens of the Autocracy.

2191: A new set of laws and government was enacted, and the Order of Justicars was absorbed into the government to act as the highest law enforcement authority in the Autocracy, though a decent amount of Justicars disagreed with this and left the Order as a result. The Justicars remained much the same, their authority only answerable to Autark Seyeka, though they developed a more centralized structure to see to the needs of the state, and began a slight reorganization of Autocracy law enforcement as a whole, making the legal code a bit more black and white then before. Matriarch Irissa T'Aes officially joins the government of the Autocracy, taking position as Foreign Minister, and shortly after The Autocracy files a legal motion with the Council for the return of the Destiny Ascension hyper-dreadnought, as the ship was never given to the Council and only loaned to the Citadel Fleet as a sign of unity.

2193: The reconstruction of Thessia was declared complete, after nearly four years of around the clock, nearly force labor. Construction efforts were then directed towards the rest of the Athena Nebula, which was rapidly rebuilt as it was much less damaged then Thessia itself.

2194: The government begins large scale military investment to bolster the ranks of the small military forces, to defend against the other splinter groups.

2195: The Citizen Biotic Training Act was passed into law, requiring all citizens of the Autocracy to be trained in the use of their natural biotic talents.

2196: Current year, rebuilding and re-militarization continues

I'll like to point out that all three different Asari factions have devolved into neo-fascist military dictatorships. Just an observation.

I suppose that tends to happen when the organization you helped to build betrays you and species you've been allies with for thousands of years throw you to the dogs over the actions of a few, especially when one of those species did nothing to help the Galactic Alliance in the final stages of the war...

Numbers look good, ACCEPTED. I'll be posting the new roster right now. IC will come as soon as we have a new Turian player.

Just finishing up the app's fluffier sections, I'll post once I finish up work. Also apologies to Jbet, I'm basically illiterate.

With new starting amount.

Faction: Drell Conclave

Namakli(Near-Garden World for Drell) - 1 Planetary Fuel Depot, 3 Mining Complex, 1 Industrial Complex, 1 Shipyard, 1 Urban Area, Ground Fortifications lvl. 1

Rotesk(Gas Giant),1 Orbital mining station

Military:
a) Ground Forces: 1 (Kakan Niol)Elite Specialist(Combat Biotics, Stealth Training,Close Combat Specialization), 2 Drell Spec-ops team, 3 Infantry Division, 1 Gunship Wing, 1 Armored division, 1 Combat Engineers

b) Space Fleets:
Defense Fleet- 2 Frigates(free), 2 Corvette Pack, 2 Destroyers, 1 Light Transport
Civilian- 1 habitation ship(free), 3 mining ships(free)

So let's talk about the Hanar, Elcor, and the Volus. They are consistently struggle to be filled and we usually find that the players that play them don't tend to stay long. Why do you guys think it is? Do you guys it is the lore behind them or are they just not interesting?

They're usually pretty peaceful, either because they can't easily be soldiers, or because they focus on things other than war. I think if they were all put into one faction then maybe someone would be more willing to take them.

Yeah, all have small military, the Volus relied on Turians for defense. Generally peaceful and only the Elcor can be good soldiers. Maybe putting them in one faction can gain interest for someone to play as them.

I guess that's a possibility but just putting them together doesn't address the issue of why they are not interesting. Giving more credits would similarly solve the issue, but that doesn't seem right. I think that they are too alien for the average player to connect with.

I think for the hanar it's because no-one really wants to play jellyfish; hard to feel connected with. Same for elcor - I think I agree with both of you in that they both lend themselves to very pacifist play and they're also really alien and hard to get really interested in.

For the Volus, though, I suspect they'd be more popular if they just weren't a protectorate.

I think it is, in part, simply because they aren’t touched on much in the games. ME:RP players come from ME players, and the facts are that you barely interact with those races. They aren’t a big part of ME zeitgeist and thus aren’t thought of often compared to the other races.
TG if you have questions about RP. If I don't know the answer, I know someone who does.
