Perhaps the next day after the tavern you found you were going in the same direction as the party and joined for the safety in numbers?

Yup. No need for it to be super complicated. There's hours of small talk whilst travelling that isn't shown that turns 'stranger going the same way' into 'new friend who I kind of trust'

He's kinda lurking on the Discord, and talks a little, but seems busy with something nondescript.

Post is up.

As for Dutch's absence, I'm officially allowing the temporary control of his character by Kai until Dutch decides to make an reappearance. Apologies to those that have been waiting.

Alright, so here's an app for me, tell me if it sucks or not.

Fenrik Snowshod

Image

Race: Nord

Gender/Sex: Male

Age: 22

Appearance:
He's thinner than the average nord, with less muscles than many of his kinsmen. Not much else to say, really.

Organization(s) involved with: None at the moment.

Class: Scout

Equipment:
An old silver sword
A makeshift set of light armour, made up of whatever parts he could find
A set of warmer clothes, which he wears over said armour in the cold.
A mortar and pestle
A copy of herbalists guide to Skyrim
A short bow, which he only really uses to make sure he doesn't starve.
A bag of small caltrops

Skills: Well, he's pretty good with his sword, and he's fast and agile enough to make his way around rough terrain quite easily. He's also pretty good with alchemy and herbalism. Honestly, his best skill is his observation. Everything else can be attributed to that.

Weaknesses: He's terrible at talking to people, having lost any charisma he had while young during his years in the wilderness. He's also useless at magic, because nord. Unfortunately, he's also somewhat weaker than most nords, which is why he has to rely more on his speed. He is more than willing to use dirty tricks to get through a fight. That might be considered a strength in some places, but in Skyrim he's lucky he hasn't been tied down and fed to bears.

Bio:
Fenrik grew up in the small village of Kynesgrove, where his parents ran the local Braidwood Inn. As a child, Fenrik was a lot more adventurous and outgoing, often playing with the other children, including a young Einar Iron-Fist. This often led to him getting beaten up in their play fights. However, after some training from his mother, who spent her youth wandering skyrim and hunting bandits, he learnt to be a little smarter in these fights, using his speed and agility to his advantage in these fights.

He still lost most of them in the end, but it was all valuable experience.

As the years passed, Fenrik trained more and more rigorously with his mother, becoming quite a talented swordsman. She drilled the fact that, no matter what other nords may say, misdirection is a valid tactic, and can sometimes be crucial to survival.

When the civil war began, Fenrik followed his childhood friend Einar and joined the Stormcloaks, being welcomed in with open arms. At first, he fit in well, working as both a scout and front line fighter. However, as time went on, he started to feel somewhat disillusioned with the Stormcloaks views, particularly those on the elves and other non-human races. Having grown up in an inn, he'd met and befriended may patrons from every race in Tamriel. Seeing Ulfrics callous disregard for other races first hand, there was no way he could keep going like that.

So he ran.

Escaping wasn't easy. A few of his rasher brethren chasing after him. They saw him as a deserter, a traitor. They tried to stop him, fight him, capture him. What other choice did he have but to fight back? Still, he tried not to kill any of them.

He failed, and it damn near tore him apart.

After his escape, he fled even further north, spending his time in isolation and living out of a mountain cave. His only real contact with other people now is when he occasionally makes his way to Winterhold to trade.

RP Sample:
Jeremy hadn't been down to the Underdome in a little while. It used to be a monthly thing, where he'd wander down to the cities lower sections and scour around for the meats of rare animals, usually on the black market, but recently, he'd been so busy at the orphanage that he'd maybe made it down twice in the last year. Thankfully though, things seemed to be calming down, and the old man decided it was fine to free him once more.

Even more thankfully, it seemed like his memories were returning to him, as he navigated the alleyways to find himself in front of his usual go to place for info.

The Red Crescent, a place he still found preferable to most DS bars.

"Good god, its been a while, hasn't it?" He all but shouted, stepping through the door and relishing in the sights and the sounds.

And the smell, even if that particular scent would have gladly been ignored, because Underdome.

Looking to the counter, he grinned with relief, seeing someone he was at least semi familiar with.

"Hey Riley!" He said with a wave. "I finally made it back down!"

And then he noticed that one of the other employees, who looked pretty roughed up for whatever reason, was glaring at one of the patrons.

Also that it got a fair bit colder, but that hardly mattered in his mind.

Doing his best to avoid adding any fuel to whatever situation was taking place beside him, he sat down at the bar, deciding he may as well relax.

"So, you guys still got absinthe on the shelves here?" He asked. "Because I have about a years worth of drinking to catch up on, and I'm hoping to get it all done tonight!"

And then he heard the man next to him shout the next round.

"And I hear its on him, so whaddaya say we forget the glass and just get the whole bottle?"

Before he could say anything else, however, he remembered the main reason he came down today in the first place.

"Oh, yeah." He said. "I forgot to ask, but have you guys heard any good gossip on anyone who has rare, dangerous animal meats? Or failing that, kids books? I wanna bring some back for the kids."

He shivered slightly, pulling his jacket around him a little tighter.

"Also, do you think we could maybe turn the cooling down a bit? I'm fine, because I'm a badass, but I imagine it isn't great for the other patrons, or for business."

Personality: Pragmatic, withdrawn, cautious

Likes: Silence, fishing, alchemy, swordsmanship.

Dislikes: Ulfric Stormcloak, ghosts, ice wraiths.

Theme song:

Voice: Liam O'brien

Well crap. I was planning to join, or at least encounter Einar and his gang in Winterhold, but it looks like I might need to wait a little while for that.

Doubting I'll be able to get a post up, unfortunately. Got off work late and still have a bit of school work to catch up on.

However, further interaction can take place. I was more or less planning on the final "Boss" appearing, which was going to be a Master Necromancer. If anyone is willing to make a post of this and is fine with me looking at it before posting, I'd be super appreciative!

Post is up!

For reference, this is a Master Necromancer who has summoned a Dremora Lord. Both it and the Necromancer are going to be tough opponents, so I'd expect at least a few posts before we get around to defeating them.

And just so you know, we'll be running into some rewards after this little venture.

Apologies that my post is not very long. Had a busy week with an interview and what not, but I figured it was better to get something out before the weekend (when I'm less likely to be able to post anything at all).

Feel free to have Haeigr injured a bit more. It's her own damn fault for having a kick-ass weapon but zero armour
