"Right," Edward said. They quickly, but also carefully slide her onto the bed. After that Edward let go of the handles and walked out of the Infirmary to take a much needed break as he waited for Mason to finish up in there. He decided on sticking with Mason rather than going off on his own. Clearly tagging a two man group who be ideal, since this foe their dealing with already got one of them. Ki Yong-Jin

The sudden, loud noise of gunshots echoed through the building and filled what was previously a quiet atmosphere. This couldn't be good, and now he was all by himself against whatever would come upstairs. Not only that, but the fact that he had made that decision himself rendered him very insecure, an obvious trait of his passive personality. Regardless, now Ki had no choice other than to continue. "3, 2, 1." He quietly said to himself instants before quickly moving out of his room with his Makarov pistol held by his right hand. The void in which the halls found themselves made him let out an audible, heart-aching sigh of relief, for that meant whoever was shooting up everything either hadn't reached the top floor or was not going there at all.

Not wanting to risk his life by assuming everything was safe, Ki slowly continued moving through the hallway and towards the staircase with his barely audible steps. Reaching the corner just before the stairs, he peeked over just enough to be able to see most of them and if anyone was coming up. He thought he could ignore the elevator and focus on the stairs given that whoever took the former method would announce themselves upon arriving. Although his sweaty, nervous hands bothered him a bit, he had been through more stressful situations, so it was endurable.

Jack Frost

Jack chuckled coolly at Alexa as he shook his slightly cold hand with her. She seemed like a sweet young lady, though the book she had was quite odd looking. "Pleasure to meet you, Alexa." Jack greeted her as he continued eating before smirking at her comment on coolness, "Heh. Now that can't be true. You must have very cool powers to be in a place like this. Jack 'Frost' is just a silly code name they gave me after taking my twin and I out of the orphanage for... safety concerns, I think they told us. I could say our powers were quite destructive, yeah. I control ice, which makes me, pretty cool in that way, I guess. Heh. My hot-head of a sister, though, Jessica 'Scorch', they call her, controls fire. Pain in the ass she can be, but she's my pain in the ass I guess."

Suddenly, both Jack and Alexa's attention by the what sounded like a very loud explosion from inside the building, several floors up. The ice boy frowned and closed his eyes with a sigh. Not even a day after arriving at this school and trouble was already happening. Then again, this could also be a chance to impress the pretty lady. "I'll come with you." he said with cool concern as he got up from his chair, "That sounded like something for more than one of us to take care of..."

Jack Frost followed Alexa out of the Cafeteria to investigate the explosion. From the sound of it, it sounded like others were going to investigate as well. Eventually, though, he and Alexa came to room full of... bees? Weird. Could there be a bug manipulator in this school? Questions could be saved for later though as Jack got into a fighting postion.

"I could handle this." spoke the icy teenager, "Just need to cool things downna notch." Jack took a deep breath for a single moment. Suddenly, the boy thrusted his upper body before releasing a breath of cold ice upon the swarm. Raising his hands, Jack released another wave of coldness as the room began to frost and freeze as if a fridged, ice cold winter wind came upon the hallway.

Alexa Grace
Alexa would nod as she quickly backed away to let Jack do his thing. She watched as he released some icy breath against the swarm of bees, surely some of them would be falling due to the cold anyways. Alexa would let out a small shiver, a chill running up and her whole body as the temperature of the room lowered a considerable amount.

"I mean, I'm cold, but I have to admit that's impressive," Alexa muttered before letting putna small giggle. "I'm not going to get those kind of powers from any book character." She wished she had some superhero comics on her. That'd make things so much more useful..

It was a lot of words and it made him tired, but trying to figure out the enemies ability before engaging is an ideal that he plans to do.

Kana

There was sudden chaos as fights broke out on other parts of the HQ grounds, and there were also two explosions that signaled that things were heating up beyond gunshots and fist fights. The place was going on lockdown, as Kana realized when she looked out of the cafeteria and saw groups of guards headed to position, mostly going outside to set up to prevent any other intruders from coming in. As that happened, one of the security guards entered the cafeteria and looked over everyone that was still there.

“Everyone, we have a security breach happening right now. Some parts of the headquarters will be sectioned off and will be temporarily unavailable, and the perimeter will be on lockdown until we determine that all threats have been neutralized. You are all encouraged to remain calm, and to make our work easier by staying outside of the main building. Thank you,” said the guard, and that was when Kana realized it was time to leave. After all, her target would likely be on the move, and she was running out of time here.

Many of the people in the cafeteria were starting to file out, to obey the instructions to stay outside, and Kana held up a hand to her new friends to signal her leaving before diving into the crowd and blending in as best as she could. She didn’t know if the guards would be looking for someone like her, who wasn’t from around here, and she kept her head down but also scanned through the crowd as she walked and tried to find Vivian.

She was starting to think that she would never find the target and that she would return to Kimura empty handed, but then something caught her eye. Shiny black hair, belonging to a girl that was tall enough to fit the description and pictures she had seen of Vivian. “Vivian!” she called out, and the girl turned around, practically confirming her identity.

Kana repressed a smile because of her success, and approached quickly. She wrapped her arm around the girl, like a friend would do, and managed to make contact with the skin of her arm. The poison on Kana’s skin would put Viv to sleep pretty soon, and for now, Kana ushered her towards the side exit where the guards hadn’t currently set up. The poison would take some time to kick in, so for now, the goal was getting away from the guards and the crowd and steering her prisoner towards the elevator.

“Who are you? What are you doing…?” Vivian muttered, the poison already having an effect on her. She looked sleepy and her voice matched the look on her face, and maybe that tiredness was what was making her go along with Kana as she dragged her into the elevator and pushed the button to go up.

“Don’t worry. It’s all going to be over soon,” Kana said, as the doors slid close and her prisoner leaned against the wall for support.

Kimura

The masked oni emerged from the elevator and arrived at the top floor, calmly walking down the hall after drawing his katana once more in the event of a surprise attack. The guards hadn’t reached this spot yet, but he did see that Huan was already here. She also had someone else following her, causing Kimura to raise an eyebrow and put a hand on his sidearm. “Who is this? Some prisoner of yours?”

“Someone whose loyalties aren’t exactly with the Guardians, who can help us with our exit strategy,” Huan said, bowing slightly at the appearance of her leader. “I believe both of us may already be familiar with this… Vigilante. The Eagle of Crimea. This is him, without the outfit.”

Kimura stared hard at Lyev for about three seconds before looking away and back to Huan. “We’ll see where his loyalties lie soon enough. Huan-chan, let’s block off the hallway from the elevator. We’ll make it hard for anyone who isn’t with us to interrupt.”

“They can walk right through-”

“And I trust you to hold them off and use your shields to help you in suppressing them.”

Huan nodded without another word, and Kimura turned towards the door that he had been eyeing. The one with the nameplate that read “Ai Jiang.” He tried opening the door and found it unlocked, stepping inside and doing a quick look around before finding his target sitting behind her desk, fairly calm in this scenario despite having a submachine gun sitting on the desk in front of her, ready for use in the event that a fight popped off. “Hello again, Ai,” he said, returning its sword to its sheath and staring at her as she defiantly folded her arms and placed her feet on the table.

“It’s been a long time, Fang…”

Ki Yong-Jin

Out of nowhere, the elevator rang. He should have expected that whoever was doing that would take the route that was most inconvenient to him. As soon as he heard the unexpected noise, he hoped there wouldn't be any additional intruders coming up through the staircase and hid behind the corner just at the end of the stairs, peeking over the wall to see the entire group gathered. He couldn't recognize a single one of them, but that shouldn't be a bad thing. Was he supposed to act? He had no orders, he was out by himself, he had to decide by himself. Regardless, his will to do anything plummeted when he saw the shield being deployed, leaning his head behind the wall once again. "Damn it..."

As soon as he saw people coming upstairs, Ki nearly shot them: his prediction of more intruders following that path would have been true and he would've been screwed. When he recognized them, however, he lowered his Makarov pistol, let out a quiet sigh of relief and signalled to the newcomers the number of people there with his fingers. Quietly walking down a few steps, he whispered to them. "They seem to have come here to find someone, they are inside a room now."

Nika Rosenal

You'd think that being practically impaled on a katana would hurt. A lot. To Nika, it didn't really register; she just crumpled into a heap as the daemon mask man withdrew his katana and her vision changed. Gone was colour and vision, replaced by moving bundles of pulsing red lines throughout the building.

She would have shivered, but she found herself paralyzed for some reason; she couldn't move anything, she didn't know why, she just couldn't; all she could so was stare straight at the lines; her lines, she realised, after a moment. They were shrinking; a pulse would happen, and a line would thin, and it would repeat; a pulse, a thinning of a line. Other bundles of lines appeared and vanished, an explosion, faint sounds and feelings in the distance. Nothing really registered. Nothing but a slowly growing pain in her abdomen.

The red lines faded along with everything else.

They returned some time later; time had lost all meaning to her. There was just blackness and the bundles of red lines. There were less now; they'd moved elsewhere, or she'd been moved elsewhere. Either was a possibility. She couldn't feel the pain any more, which was a relief, although she couldn't feel much of anything really. She tried to twitch her muscles, but they failed to respond in kind, or if they did, she couldn't tell; same difference. The leaks after each pulse seemed to be smaller than before, but so were the lines; they were growing ever so thin, little more than strings tied together in a complex web. They hadn't snapped yet, but they were close; she could see fraying at the edges as red became black, and then it all vanished once again into darkness.

Almost had the natural reaction of complaining, but seeing the forcefield and listening to Mason's lecture made him decide that wasn't the preferable choice. "What's the plan then? We have to find the Bad guy who hurt that girl earlier, and this by far seems to be the only suspicious thing around. The only feasible options I can really see is alarming the authorities by shooting it so they would come here, or we test it ourselves by tossing something useless towards it," said Edward hoping that Mason would decide. He didn't want to make choices that could end up getting someone killed, so he rather have Mason make the tough decisions.

Erika

Erika may only know basic English, but she can tell from the North Korean’s whispering that someone was sneaking their way around inside the door. Subsequently, she cut the music with a gentle fade before the glyph under her feet faded. The intruder wasn’t going to hear the sound of music until she and her fellow comrades would get the drop on them...

Mason turned and focused his rifle on the Asians. "Boy if you try that shit again I am going to put a nice 12.7 mm Depleted Uranium round right between thosd eyes. Anyway there is people there, Fuck" he said more people meant there was probably hostages. "Any of you kids got a mirror I need to take a peak?"

Edward "Ted" Tomlinson
"Mason, wouldn't a phone camera work to? People carry those around more often," said Edward curiously. He was thinking Mason wanted to use it so he could see the enemy behind cover, and the camera on the phones could easily serve that function, that is if someone wanted to risk their phones for a greater cause. He never got himself one, but he wouldn't doubt that someones got a phone within this little group of theirs.

Erika

So the military man, Mason, could speak German - something a bit relieving but overall irrelevant. Her own curiosity was misplaced, since Mason was now asking if she had a smartphone...albeit in her native German language. She may not be able to speak, but she was able to reply with a nod before reaching into where her diary was on her right hip and pulled out her smartphone.

She had no idea why Mason would be asking for her phone, but if it was in reference as to how she was using her musical superpowers, it was hilariously wrong. So, Erika looked at her phone for a moment before taking her eyes back up to Mason in silence...

Ki Yong-Jin

Ki Yong-Jin moved up a few steps on the staircase and once again positioned himself at the corner. Although he could hear what they were talking about, he couldn't help but think it was a horrible idea. Who would carry a portable camera with them all the times? Their only option would be to use the horrible cameras from whatever phones they had. These antiquated thoughts were soon to be proven wrong by what Erika had pulled out. Was that a phone? Where the hell was its keyboard? People were touching on the screen? What?! Whatever, it was not time to think about that, even though it had sparked more of his curiosity than the surrounding incident itself and he had devoted a few seconds of glancing at the thing. After a few moments, he slowly leaned his face just so that he would have a very brief sight of the defensive shield before leaning back again. "It's still there..." He whispered to those nearby.

Heroes of Tomorrow

Guards moved in to the cafeteria as a lockdown order was issued to all of the younger members of the Guardians. They were going to escorted out of the building so that authorized personnel could neutralize the threats, given that many of them lacked the control or combat experience to be trusted to safely handle the situation. It came as a surprise to see Kana swiftly move through the crowd, heading to leave as quickly as possible.

Rather than recognizing her as a potential intruder, he more concerned with the strange girl’s safety, and his agreement to help her find her old friend. Seeing her rush out so suddenly, he believed it was that she, too, was concerned with the well being of her friend, and wanted to find her as quickly as she possibly could.

And since he promised her he’d help with that, he was to his feet and moving just as she began to slip from view. Despite his best efforts, he still managed to lose her in the horde of panicked and irritated people. Unlike her, he wasn't one to be dissuaded when things start to look grim, and managed to spot her slipping toward an unguarded exit, a girl held tightly in her arm as she was steered toward the exit.

By the time he managed to follow them out into the hallway, he found that he was just seconds too late, as the doors to the elevator slid closed and it began to rise.

For fucks sake, he thought, before turning and moving to the closest stairwell to begin an ill-enjoyed spiraling sprint. With every other floor, he glanced to see that the elevator was still rising. “For an evacuation, you’re going pretty high up,” he muttered to himself somewhere along the lines, pushing himself to his all to keep from giving in to exhaustion.

Finally, he managed to reach the top floor just minutes after they arrived. He was panting heavily, sweat dripping from his face and stumbled forward, spotting Kana and the girl he presumed to be Vivian. “Hey,” he paused to inhale, “you know...you could have...waited up...just a bit,” He gave a half-hearted laugh before he noticed the third girl in the group, then things began to click.

“Fuck. You’re the intruders, aren’t you?"

"I don't know Holiday I guess we will find out soon enough." He nodded in thanks to the German and pulled up the camera but before he did that he leaned his M82 against the wall. Drawing his colt he turned the corner fired a couple of shots into the shield and pulled back. "Welp looks like it stops bullets." Pulling the phone out he went on its camera quickly he pushed it out took a picture and pulled it back in. The image loaded and the image before them was a just what looked like a blue wall with hexagons in it.

I would be to inclined if it was the second option..."
