Backstory: After being born in 1921, Fritz joined the Hitlerjugend at age 13, and continued until he was able for military service. He enlisted in the Kriegsmarine at 18, and worked as part of land operations. He is an eager soldier and is proud to serve the fatherland, and defeat the red plague. His father served in the Freikorps following the first world war, and was eventually killed by a revolutionist, leading to his despise for communism. During his first year of active service, he was nearly killed by landing boat while landing on the beaches of Danzig. He earned the Iron Cross second class after he saved a fellow sailor from machine-gun fire on Danzig. After earning the honour, he was given a recommendation to assist in the invasion of the USSR early 1941.

Backstory: Born on the outskirts of Stalingrad, the son of a hunter-butcher and a mother who made clothes and baskets for thr village, he lived a simple and lower class life. Патрикей was born after the Soviet Union had been formed. Growing in a time of heavy indoctrination, he would show his teachers and the authorities from his village how loyal and zealous he was in his beliefs of the Proletariat and Soviet State. Ueat, up until his 16th birthday he felt as if there was something lacking in life. That hed yet to experience anything of great virtue. So in 1939 a year before the invasion of Poland, Патрикей would sign up for the military, lying about his age. He was placed into a normal infantry division during his training.

Once 1939 rolled around, he was relocated to the Polish front, participating in the advance into Eastern Poland. He'd witness many of his comrades and friends die on the field, due to poor leadership and many lacking supplies or running out of ammunition during the offensive. It would lead to him saving a few soldiers pinned down a machine gun nest with his Mosin Nagant during the wars end, but the award was ultimately gifted to his squad leader instead.

Once the campaign and tour had ended, shaken and stirred Патрикей would take a break from fighting for a while. Sitting on the border as a guard after an altercation with a superior officer. For the next 2 years, it'd be rather quiet, monotonous and not much of anything. Despite being relaxed, he found he had a yearning to fight again growing inside. Growing bored if the monotonous work and schedule in Poland.

It wasn't until 1941 at the age of 19 he'd finally get his wish. After the German invasion of the USSR he'd find himself overwhelmed by the initial assault, his small squad having had to retreat for a trek for miles before coming upon the Soviet border once again. When it was clear the German army would continue to advance, he'd take up the goal of joining the partisan effort after his division was so heavily devastated it was disbanded.

Through this period as a partisan his small squad would get aid from the NKVD with a NKVD officer in a leadership position of their division itself. For the next year's he and his squad would work in subterfuge, espionage, intelligence gathering, launching attacks behind the lines, ambushes, destroying supply lines with explosives and ultimately being a nuisance to the German military.

By 1942, with the Soviet military being reformed, his Division leader would move his partisan squad into the Special Purpose (OsNaz) NKVD Frontier Guard, on account of manpower loss and a need for the establishment of a new branch of the military against the Germans in the Eastern Front. This is where he sits now at 20 years of age. Armed with a revolver, rifle and grenades he acts as the rifleman of his squad, being placed on the brunt of the frontlines for Special Operations.

Eith his hate for Germans, his radical loyalty to the Soviet nation and his Motherland, especially place of birth being placed so close to the frontline now. He sees it as his duty to drive every German invader from Russian soil, best he can.

This definitely catches my interest. I'll try to make time for this, and decide on what side I'll be. When you say any character, what are the limits? Are women, partisans, Hiwis, foreign SS volunteers etc. fair game?

And since we won't all be of the same company (or will we?), how will interactions work?
