All you have to do is click the "Save draft" button to the left of the Submit and Previous buttons, then you have a nice copy made for you. Your drafts can then be viewed in the Control Panel (found just to the left of the "View your posts button") under the "Manage drafts" tab. Alternatively, saved drafts can be accessed simply by going back the thread, opening up the post window, and then a button labeled "Load draft" will appear next to the "Save draft" button, that will automatically load the draft you made for that thread.
Alternatively, you can just copy and paste your draft into a Notepad file which you can open up later to continue working on.
Saving your work without posting it is so easy, and yet so many people decide to post their unfinished writing instead of saving it and waiting until they can post the finished product. Maybe it's not a huge deal, but it does, nonetheless, create unnecessary clutter. Same with tag posts; you can bookmark topics by using the button at the bottom of the thread, which makes a tag post totally unnecessary.
