[The Flutterlands]

Raphael's eyes narrowed as he listened to Uba and clenched his fists in thought. What was the dark skinned man on about a thing? What thing could bring vengeance against those to ruined him and redemption for his slaughter of his sisters? Or could he actually aid in his search for what he truly desires?

Raph stared in silence at his rat, now limp and dry with its contents sucked out. After a moment he turned and stared at the Vampire Queen, the one said to have started it all. "Help me destroy those who ruined me as well as help redeem myself for drinking my siblings blood in madness," said the young vampire, in calm resolution, looking away and folding his hands, "And my unlife will your debt..."

Raphael's eyes narrowed as he listened to Uba and clenched his fists in thought. What was the dark skinned man on about a thing? Uba saw the eyes of the young vampire move towards the Empress. Mentally, the gears moved with a complete movement as ideas became like puzzle pieces as something started to brew. A long game was about to happen, one that maybe the Moor can play right or be able to embrace his final death. In his mind there was peace as he could help one of the forcibly turned, but in his mind was also the peace that he has been noted by his station and believe such an attempt was more than needed for such a freedom to occur.

" Such a move is great, great indeed. But both path of redemption and vengeance focuses on a single move but our goals are align. I can help you with your goal but it will be a long path. After the meeting then we can begin on how you should be trained to walk such a path and how to suceed."

Raphael's eyes glistened in surprise after Uba spoke. For a moment, the young vampire thought that the dark skinned man could read minds, but then guessed that he could read body language. Even more surprising, still, it seemed that he was actually willing to help him. This will indeed be a long game and Raphael knew he would not stand a chance taking it on alone. Uba would make a good friend and ally.

As for time, the young boy grimaced in disgustful thought at his condition. It did occur to him that his curse came with immortality, if one could call it that. Raph could not call what he had “eternal life”, like that in the heavens above, but rather eternal undeath, earthbound. Nonetheless, even perhaps curses could have it’s uses. The french boy did not wish to live forever, but simply long enough to find vengeance, redemption and peace.

“I have all the time in the world now as long as I have your help.” said Raphael quietly, his voice indicating that he finds no pleasure in his curse. His eyes fell upon an armoured vampire near the queen and anger took hold of him. In his hatred, Raphael recognized him at once. The one who betrayed and lead the attack on his home. “My father told me once patience is a virtue. Quiet for now though, till we can talk more about… what I want.”

Raphael looked at Bus with an expression of a small smile. However, in his mind, wheels of his own turned. The boy still could not bring himself to fully trust Vampires and that included Uba. In the back of his mind, rightfully so, it seemed too good to be true for a vampire to help betray his own Coven. In the case Uba’s help turns out to be a ruse, Raphael knew he’d have to make his own plans.
