Danganronpa: Different Seasons of Despair

I remember something. My concept of time was forgotten, though I remember from a certain amount of time ago, there was a memory.

I remember a high school. Not like your typical high school. This one was special. It's where the highest of the bunch would go to. If you were very experienced in a certain skill, you were considered an Ultimate. Ultimates attended this school 24/7 and I'm starting to remember the name. Hikami Academy. Yes, it's coming back to me now. There were 15 students who went on a little field trip. Then something just stopped. Like there was a line that was ended. Now, I find myself in a sticky situation.

There say that hope itself can triumph over despair, but where I am now seems like that despair has been used as a weapon. As if, someone had became a vessel to spread it around ourselves. Now, I can feel that many people have done a similar sin that led them here. This world I'm at is not like any other. I can feel the winter coming.

A tragedy is going to happen again.

Danganronpa: Different Seasons of Despair is a RP set in a world based on the game Danganronpa. Those who played my previous Danganronpa RP, Danganronpa: Minutes of a Kill linked here will know that this RP will bear some similarities. That's because this RP is set in the same universe, but in a different setting. New plot points will be shown and new motives for students to be faced. It's a despair-including trip into a new world, where not everything is what it seems.

In Minutes of a Kill, watches fused into student's wrists were to dispense a weaponized strain of flu that would kill them instantly. This was a concept to have students die early, if the person behind the student was inactive throughout the entire game. To replace the watches, collars are introduced. Similar to Battle Royale, these collars are small and unnoticeable at first. Attempting to get rid of a collar by tools would result in a small, but powerful explosive to be detonated to decapitate the wearer.

1. You can use language, but not too explicit.
2. No overpowered or too perfect characters, meaning no Mary Sues or Marty Stu's.
3. Proper grammar is considered and encouraged.
4. If you wish to have a type of Ultimate, but someone has made a student that used the same before you, it's best to have an Ultimate similar, but not the same.
5. If you're about to be inactive or be without technology, talk to me! Otherwise, your character might end up on a victim of the mentioned collars.
6. You need to use the kill app and send it to me by telegram. Not by OOC for obvious reasons. Note that you need to be the first to send the app after a motive is announced in order for it to be accepted. Also, it will be accepted if the victim you're trying to kill will give permission to be killed off. After it's accepted, both the victim and killer will be answering a set of questions based on the murder and how the victim and killer would realistically react.
7. You can create up to 3 characters.
8. Don't get too attached to your characters. It's hard to accept death of a creation, but they will be remembered.
9. Have fun and prepare for blood!
10. Remember that despair lingers!

The Beach: A white sand-covered beach, where the water is cold and the sky is filled with several clouds. Several arrow signs have been pointed away from the fake classroom and leading to an old looking building resembling a high school gym. Across the gym is a drawbridge, leading to a small isle, where different buildings can be seen.

Hair: A light, swampy green color. Shape and size wise its short and straight, though some of it 'downwordly jabs' the air, sticking out from the side, appearing somewhat like (Two) antennas. For reference think of Rantaro's hair, but it's obviously not the same.

- Clothing: A (Usually zipped up) black funnel neck hoodie and light grey pants. Beneath the hoodie is a generic dirty and white short-sleeved shirt that has no special designs or features other than the fact that the hems are colored bright orange.

- Eyes: Grey.

- Skin Color: Somewhat pale, but not too much.

- Other: He has optical glasses that have a slightly darkened shade.

- Skinny but of average height.

Ultimate Talent: Developer.

Biography: Nathan was born on May, 26th, 2001 in Halifax [CAN] to a wealthy and somewhat influential businessman who moved to North America from Japan (His father, Uchida Shoji), and his mother, a software engineer named Emma Ray. The two had met while Emma was on a business trip to Tokyo in regards to a now discarded internet program she had dedicated her whole life to, and had to leave behind. Nathan was actually born in Tokyo, spending his first four years there. Upon moving to Halifax, he began being homeschooled at the age of three, making him miss many social experiences that are important for a child. He learned what you'd typically be taught in school, with a few exceptions. Nathan was also taught how to use the internet, when he was six-seven he already knew all the basics of programming. His father was out a lot, but his mother was home quite a lot since that was where she did her job. Nathan eventually began working alone, interacting with people online, using his
father's money to purchase video games. He was fond of his father because of this, even if he payed little attention to him on a personal scale, but thats just something he never learned to understand. Nathan found the perfect website to work on a personal project, like his mother, but this time a game. He had experience from his mother and creating minor flash games (Most of which as jokes). But, after his mother learned of this she stepped in to help him, but he 'stood up' and vowed to take on the responsibly purely by himself. It sure did work out, after all the game became very popular with over 200,000 downloads in the very first 24 hours.

On his eleventh birthday he received an orange tabby named Lucky.

Nathan's skills were brought to the attention of a small startup studio named 'BlueThumb Games' (Random name.) who hired him over the internet. A shortlived career after Shoji suggested he'd be better off alone. Due to financial aid and support from his father's corporate partners, Nathan had his grand vision in his sights. A very realistic VR simulator in which players minds would be transported into a virtual world and have lifelike experiences, like something out of a Sci-Fi show or the far future. At age 13 he began his project. However, just as it was nearing its final developmental stages the divorce happened. Emma was so absorbed in her project and Nathan's success (But not his well being.) and Shoji was almost always gone that..it just couldn't happen. Even from the start the signs had formed. Emma brought it up first and had increasingly ignored and felt pestered by her husband's few attempts to communicate her, because she needed to work. She became a monster addicted to her work. One night after The Fight the two officially divorced. Right around the time this occurred an invitation to Rainfelt Island (Or Hikami Academy..) arrived in the mail. The two, despite what was happening, mutually agreed to send Nathan away..against his will of course.
●Personality: Nathan may originally appear cold, aloof, mysterious, extremely well keep-together/calm or rigid depending on how i play him out, but thats just a persona he portrays heading into the Academy. He thought that he couldn't be/show his true self around so many (Especially special) people. In reality he's lazy and socially awkward, easily panicked (Definitely depends on the situation) and 'inexperienced' due to most of his time spent at home and away from society. May worry a lot or avoid danger but isn't scared by much. Almost completely desensitized to blood and gore, but would naturally be disturbed by the sight of death. He may have distorted views, as he mainly feeds off what he sees on the internet. Likely an INTP (Himiko Yumeno, Chiaki Nanami, among others.)

Perhaps 'Mimic' would be a better term then Doppelgänger? (Just suggesting.)
