Yeah, we could make an alliance of small nations. Merithia doesn't have a strong military but does have a monopoly on trade between the three big ones.

The issue is if gryphons as flying cavalry is a thing that is allowed, then I feel inclined to copy that. Because flying cavalry is really fucking Brutal.
