Character Description
    Name: Alexandria Gunther
    Aliases: Melody
    Gender: Female
    Age: 21
    Apperance:

Motivations
Goals: Survival by any means, and helping her adopted siblings on the streets.
Fears: Losing her family, dying in the gutters of Seattle.

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Powers :
Echo: Alexandria can mimic any voice she hears after only a few words. The more words said, the more spot on her voice will sound.

Piercing Scream: A loud cry that can be heard for miles. Anyone she directs this attack towards can be physically harmed and can temporarily lose their hearing.

Inner Song: This ability helps Alexandria concentrate and allows her to block other sounds or temptations out for a short time. It also helps her reflexes when in close combat.

Concentrated Sound: Small intense sounds like snapping can be used by Alexandria to force sound waves into a certain point. (exp. Snapping her fingers can crack or even break glass directly in front of her fingers.)

(unknown) Siren's song: A song sung to infatuate a certain target, or a small group. While this short song is being sung, Alexandria can only do very basic things, and the ones under her spell can't move or defend themselves.

(unknown) Song of the Valkyria: A song that Alexandria is able to sing, that can, for a very short time, shield all allies from most damage and increase their resolve.

(unknown) Lost in Thoughts All Alone: A last ditch effort song that leaves Alexandria drained of most of her energy, but in return anyone that hears her song will be sapped of any resolve for a short time. The victims of this song lose all energy and will to do anything, as the feeling of overwhelming odds and loneliness takes over.

    (unknown) Other songs maybe?
    Abilities: Pick-pocketing, stealth, basic parkour.
Equipment: Small knife, lock-picking kit, and an old Ipod with head-phones.
Weaknesses: She is physically weak and fighting anyone who is trained in fighting techniques could be a serious problem.

Background:
General: Alexandria's first memories were of the Orphanage. It was most of her childhood actually. She was raised by the workers, and shuffled around quite a few times. She was deemed as a trouble child at a young age and, after she turned ten, no one wanted to adopt her. Just after she turned fourteen, Alexandria was caught stealing from people in a public park, which only furthered her from the Orphanage. At sixteen she took off, preferring a life on the street, where she did odd jobs and met all sorts of interesting individuals. Many kids around her age and younger started working together, and they formed a loose family on the streets. For five years she has been living penniless and homeless in the crumbling city of Seattle. One night her families current resident, an abandoned factory, was raided by the police. Alexandria and the older members helped the younger ones escape while they distracted the police. In the panic and confusion Alexandria was struck by a police baton and let out an ear shattering scream that left the police dazed and confused. Some of her family was still caught but most escaped and Alexandria started to manifest her new powers shortly after. She has been testing them since the incident and has made surprising headway. However she has yet to utilize her powers to their fullest.
Stressor: The need to protect her family and the adrenaline surging through Alexandria must have activated a dormant gene that was not supposed to be active. When she was hit by the officer her scream was an unrefined, but powerful, defensive mechanism.

Sorry if there is any problems with the app, I'm kinda tired, but I had the will to write and I wasn't gonna stop till I wrote this. I would be happy to fix any problems or change things if need be.

Lol... in the spirit on no anime

Just a couple of little points.

1. With 'song of Valkyria' what would you say to it creating a protective shield or something similar? At the moment the power looks better suited to something with hitpoints and stats. The bit about reducing damage is a bit vague and the strengthening resolve bit wouldn't be that useful in a super-team where you can assume most of the characters aren't going to break easily.
2. With the currently unknown powers, could you please wait to discover them until I give the go for people to start developing. If you think I'm being unreasonably slow you can always tell me!

Will change the Valkyria song, and I will totally wait for the unknown powers. I had hopped to be helping others when she accidentally discovers these powers.

So we're all going for no anime, then, eh?
Formerly Videssos. Just a femboy-obsessed degenerate. Also interested in history, mythology, fantasy, science fiction, metal and some other stuff.
A little bird told me, "Go, Go! Socialise! Talk to those fine people! And then, KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM! Plunge your knife into their throats when they ain't lookin', and then burn 'em to the ground!"
Well that's silly, isn't it?

The old guy is actually a really cool concept

Thanks, he’s heavily inspired by the Gray Ghost from Batman: The Animated Series. Here’s the backstory (albeit subtlety edited to conform to this RP’s setting) that I wrote for him:
Mister X: Union City’s unfaltering buttress against injustice. This pulp hero relies on his physical prowess, genius-level intellect, martial arts expertise, and high-tech gadgets - primarily a gun that fires various lethal and non-lethal projectiles - to combat Seattle’s criminal element. Portrayed by young Ukrainian-born American actor Max Zimmer (formerly Maksym Zima) in several movie serials in the 1940s, Mister X became quite a popular character, particularly among children. Due to complaints about his approach to fighting crime, certain aspects about Mister X’s character underwent slight alterations to make him more family-friendly. Primarily, he lost his .45 and acquired his now-signature sidearm to incapacitate rather than kill criminals. Unfortunately, the pulp hero’s popularity didn’t last, and Zimmer being investigated as a potential Soviet spy only hastened the character’s decline.

Although Zimmer ultimately proved his alleged espionage and communist sympathies to be nothing more than base lies, his career as a Hollywood star didn’t recover. Typecast as Mister X and accused of being a communist agitator and spy, Max couldn’t find any work besides bit-parts in B movies that barely paid his bills. Despondent, Max turned to booze and drugs to salve his wounded pride.

After an attempt to take his own life in 1969, Max’s kids checked him into a rehab facility. Here, Zimmer’s recovery began, and he managed to make many positive changes to his self-destructive lifestyle. Unfortunately, it did little to aid his ailing acting career, but Zimmer accepted that, eventually retiring as an actor and using some money that he’d saved to make some sound investments.

It’s 2016 2019 and a now 97-year-old Zimmer is in an almost permanently bedridden state in a care home in Los Angeles Seattle. He knows that he’s near death, that every day could be his last. As he closes his eyes each night to go to sleep, he knows that he might not wake up the next morning. It’s in these moments that he contemplates what could’ve been, thinking about missed opportunities and regretting that he hadn’t done things differently. Zimmer thinks about Mister X: his brief time as a Hollywood star. It’s this that he’s thinking about as he goes to sleep.

Max wakes up but he’s not in his bed and he’s not in his body. He feels young and fit, the constant pain that plagues him is gone. He considers that this might be heaven (or maybe hell?) but something makes him think that this isn’t an afterlife. Looking around he realises that his surroundings look familiar. Max notices himself in a mirror and realises that he’s wearing his Mister X costume and he’s young again. His surroundings too resemble Mister X’s lair and the character’s signature flying vehicle is nearby.

I love this character concept!

If you do create him there would be some excellent possible interactions with both Tanner Thorburn (Tanner manipulates dreams... Mister X is Max's dream made flesh, or is he?) and Blur (without giving too much away about the character behind the mask, Blur will identify quite strongly with his story and will probably enjoy sparing with an ACTUAL superhero from the television).

The probably work best in a super-group... If you think a particular moment would be a great time to start using one, flick me a tgram. I'm just suggesting building them in slowly to help with the origin-story feel

I’m glad you like it and I suppose Mister X could be Max’s dream, it’s definitely some sort of subconscious projection but I haven’t quite thought about it that much. I had this idea that Mister X is some sort of emotional construct, driven by Max’s regret, and given physical form while Max is sleeping and reminiscing about his time as a movie star so he’s only as strong as Max’s emotions ... or something like that. I’ll get to work on an app for him.

Character Description
    Name: Peter "Poppy" Waller
    Aliases: Omni
    Gender: Male
    Age: 17
Appearance: Peter is a flyweight youth with a lithe build, pallid complexion, bright red eyes, and a mane of messy hair coming down to the base of his neck. When transforming or intending to enter combat, he deforms into a sizzling black mass that seems to struggle maintaining a solid form. Depending on Peter's emotional or physical state, this alternate form may be very quick-flowing or extremely viscous.
    Image

    Image

Motivations
Goals: First is to determine his origin. Second is to gain better control over his abilities. Third is to find a purpose in this world.
Fears: His own powers, most of all. He knows that he is not in full control over his body, and is constantly worrying about slipping out and causing harm to innocent people around himself.

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Powers :
Biokinesis - Peter can manipulate life itself, potentially on a cellular level. He can change his entire body to either disguise or augment himself in a variety of ways. He can do the same with other people also, but requires prolonged physical contact before he can successfully affect them. Peter can create biomolecular energy and biomatter at will in order to heal severe injuries and diseases, as well as increase or decrease his own size and even split into smaller parts when taking upon another form.
Caustic Physiology - Peter's body can ingest and dissolve anything except for mercury. Diseases, toxins, and projectiles hold no lasting effect against him. He must of course retreat in order to recover from his injuries.
"True" Form - Peter's true form appears to be a creature composed entirely of black goo. Its consistency varies, and it can extend and multiply itself as long as it has the sufficient mass to do so. Peter's true form is not always hidden, as he can cause small portions of his body to change in appearance. When that happens, that particular body part seems to dissolve before the desired part or modification takes form.
Abilities: Pete still retains his love for music, and can skillfully play a number of musical instruments. He can also write well and cook a decent meal.
Equipment: A variety of stolen books pertaining to different subjects, various scientific items and specimens (for study).
    Weaknesses:
-In order to affect a target with his biokinetic abilities, Peter must maintain direct physical contact for at least twenty seconds, so that he can get a basic understanding of the target's physiology. This is because Peter has not yet unlocked the full extent of his power. He is currently working towards gaining more knowledge in the field of biology and genetics. Thus, even his ability to induce necrosis is not always effective.
-Certain noises and electromagnetic disturbances seem to agitate him, and it causes him to lose focus and form.
-Mercury breaks Peter's cells down, causing him extreme physical pain.
-When taking upon another full form, he becomes very vulnerable due to the time it takes to create a large quantity of biomass. If disturbed, Peter may have to start over, thus having wasted a significant amount of energy.
-In his alternate form, Peter cannot create biomass or biomolecular energy.
-Peter cannot create non-living objects or change the properties of non-living objects. He can emulate them however.
-Extreme temperatures, the removal of his brain, and total destruction of his physical structure. But beyond that, he's extremely difficult to kill.

Background:
General: Peter was born to a wealthy, politically-inclined family as the youngest child of five. He had a whole life ahead of him, but unfortunately his affliction began to manifest itself at around age 5, later being found to be a rare congenital disease. As a result, Peter continued on being very frail and sickly, causing him to be restricted to an automated wheelchair. Throughout his childhood however, Peter was an achiever in spite of his impairment. He fostered a fervent love for music and literature, and wrote many songs and stories about his hopes and dreams for the future. He looked forward to becoming strong and overcoming his disease so that he could reach his goals in life.

But this was at a time when he did not yet fully understand the magnitude of his situation. And when he eventually gained the mental capacity to do just that, he quickly lost his positive outlook on life and fell into deep depression. Along the downward spiral, he stopped making an effort to care for his health and inevitably ended up in an intensive care unit because he refused to take any more medication and nutrition. He just wanted to die.

But, desperate to save his son, Peter's dad gets in touch with a friend who happens to be a prominent geneticist-slash-chemist and signs him up as a test subject for an experiment. At this point Peter's father is prepared to accept that if the experiment fails, Peter is lost for good. But at the same time he believes that this is his son's last chance for a normal life. The enzyme that will be used for this experiment is intended to reconstruct what is missing in Pete's body so that it recovers to a state of good health.

Stressor: Coincidentally, on the day of the experiment, the radioactive surge pulses throughout the city, affecting both equipment and the enzymes that were to be administered to Peter. He was up in the laboratory, meanwhile, with his mother and father outside hoping for his quick recovery. Then after numerous other therapeutic procedures were carried out to prepare him for the treatment, the friend doctor comes in with all his tools and the enzyme so they can commence with the experiment. Even he is a little nervous as he prepares to inject the boy with his artificial enzyme.

Thankfully, Peter's body accepts the enzyme with open arms. But it having been stimulated by the radioactive energy, the enzyme does more than it is expected to. And instead of simply restoring what Peter's body is lacking, it destroys every single cell and replaces it with a copy of itself, essentially rebuilding the boy. In doing this, the enzyme also reconfigures Peter's brain, wiping almost all of his memories. This reaction explains Peter's painful writhing and screaming as the enzyme goes above and beyond the call of duty. The whole time, the doctor and his assistants are at a loss as to what they should do. Various plan b medications are administered, but they have no effect. And then Peter's vitals drop. There is silence in the room, induced by shock. But seconds later, the machines blink back to life, and the boy's chest begins to rise and fall steadily, despite the twisted look of pain and anguish on his face.

Within hours, the doctor determines that his enzyme has done its job well. Peter's condition rapidly improves, and his very appearance changes. His parents is of course thankful, and they prepare to take Peter to a hospital so that when he returns to consciousness, he wouldn't be confused. But his body having changed almost completely, he recovers at an extreme rate and wakes up with a very different perception of the world around him. Everything just hits him like a bus, and he breaks form for the first time. In his amorphous state, he kills everyone in the facility including his parents and the friend doctor. In his attempts to escape, Peter damages many of the facility's important components, as well as the cold storage for diseases, effectively making it inaccessible.

Following this, Peter flees the research facility and collapses not far from the city. He remains there for the next two weeks, and upon coming to, manages to temporarily maintain his form and control. Then, dragging his feet, heads for Seattle in hopes of finding help.

Character Description
Name: Max Zimmer (formerly Maksym Zima)
    Aliases: Mister X
    Gender: Male
Age: As Max, he’s a 97-year-old man confined to his bed, but as Mister X he’s probably in his late twenties to mid-thirties.
    Appearance:
    Image
    Image
    Image

Motivations
Goals: Bring Seattle’s criminal scum to justice! That and achieve the fame that he never really had.
Fears: Nurses, needles, and tapioca pudding. In all seriousness, though, I suppose Max’s greatest fear is wasting this second chance that he’s been given to do right.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Powers : Mister X doesn’t have any powers per se, he’s a stereotypical pulp hero à la The Shadow, The Phantom, The Spider (I’m noticing a trend here) etc. Subsequently, Mister X relies on his competence as a hand-to-hand combatant, high-tech gadgets, and his keen intellect to fight crime. Max’s power is to create Mister X when he goes to sleep at night.
Abilities: As I’ve mentioned above, Mister X is a fairly stereotypical pulp-era, 1930s to 40s, hero. Accordingly, his abilities are quite basic: he’s at near-peak physical fitness, he’s an uncannily good shot and unarmed combatant, he has a genius-level intellect, and utilizes high-tech equipment (although it’s all in a distinctly retro style because Mister X is from the 1930s and 40s), and I guess he’s an expert detective because he’s basically The Shadow but it’s not something that’s particularly emphasised in his comic books, radio plays, and movie serials. Despite these abilities, he’s still very much a 97-year-old inhabiting a fictional character’s body so there’s definitely going to be some ‘fish out of water’ elements in play as he becomes accustomed to Mister X’s body.
Equipment: Mister X’s signature gadget is a unique sidearm that fires various (some incredibly cheesy) non-lethal projectiles e.g. rubber bullets, gas pellets, electric shock rounds, adhesive foam capsules etc. Additionally (and this may be subject to change because I think it’s dumb), his weird weapon doubles as a grappling gun as grappling hooks and compressed air canisters can be loaded into it to scale tall buildings or equally impassive obstacles. He also carries numerous small explosives and miscellaneous equipment e.g. a listening device to hear criminal’s private conversations. His suit is also relatively bullet and blade resistant, although not excessively so, and his helmet/hood/cowl/mask has adaptive lenses to slightly enhance his vision in low or bright light areas. Alongside all this, Mister X’s trademark airship, the X-1 (he’s also been known to use a car and boat, guess what they’re called?), is a technological marvel that allows him to descend on criminals as they perpetrate their foul deeds. Mister X also leaves a calling card that’s quite literally a card bearing a blood-red ‘X’ to remind criminals that they will be brought to justice!
Weaknesses: Fundamentally, Mister X is an incredibly infirm and easily killable old man by day. That isn’t to say that Mister X can’t be killed at night, most conventional attacks can incapacitate or kill him, but it’ll only force Max back into his own body until the next night.

Background:
General: Mister X: Union City’s unfaltering buttress against injustice.
Stressor: Knowing that his time’s near, Max languished on his past; regretting that he hadn’t done things differently. Most importantly, he lingered on his brief stardom as Mister X.

Character Description
Name: Peter "Pete or Poppy" Waller
    Aliases: Omni / Poppy
    Gender: Male
    Age: 17
Appearance: By default, Pete looks very frail and lightweight. He has a pallid complexion, bright red eyes, and unkempt brown hair which comes to rest at the base of his neck. His appearance betrays what he's capable of.

Motivations
Goals: Pete's ultimate goal is to gain total control of his powers so that he can fulfill his dreams and do whatever he wants, but he also seeks their origins and whether it is safe for him to continue living with his abilities.
Fears: His main fear is hurting people in general, but especially those he loves. He's also afraid of overusing his abilities, because that usually causes him to black out for a considerable amount of time, leaving him very vulnerable. He has a deep fear of death, and so avoids conflict for the most part, unless he can get away with starting or being directly involved in it.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Powers : Pete's most prominent ability? Biokinesis. He can modify, create, and destroy life, potentially on a cellular level. This makes him incredibly dangerous, as he can cause necrosis, induce terminal disease, and could possibly rearrange the physical appearance of a living being. In addition, he is a master of disguise, being able to completely change his form within a matter of minutes, depending on what he is planning to do. He can create biomolecular energy and biomatter at will in order to heal most injuries and increase his size when changing form.
Abilities: Pete has always loved music, and is skilled with the piano and the violin. He can write well, and compiles stories depicting himself in a fantasy universe where he is permitted to do what he wants, whenever he wants. It's also a fact that he can cook a decent meal and has adequate knowledge when it comes to repairing laptops. (He is a little less familiar with desktop computers)
Equipment: A variety of stolen books, strains of viral diseases (for study), and a snub-nosed revolver.
Weaknesses: Firstly, I guess it could be considered that to affect a target, Pete must establish direct physical contact for at least five seconds, so that he can get a basic understanding of the target's physiology. Secondly, Pete has not yet unlocked the full extent of his power. He is currently working towards gaining more knowledge in the field of biology. Thirdly, when changing form, he becomes very vulnerable, unless he is changing to what he calls the 'Agony' form. This form comes about when Pete is aggravated or badly injured. His body instinctively reacts to a threat, which is abnormal, since he must actively heal himself. (It is not automatic) Pete's body goes too far, and he takes upon the demonic Agony form. After the fit and his body is restored, Pete collapses and becomes unable to function for two to three days depending on how badly injured he was prior to embodying the Agony.

Background:
    General:
    Stressor:

At the moment I feel that Peter is too powerful.

To keep the character in line with the others I would suggest toning his damage output down to he can induce necrosis (rather than bringing on other terminal diseases - keep it simple) but that he needs to maintain physical contact for more than five seconds to do that. This means that another hero/villain can break off, run away and recover.

There are also a couple of other things I would like you to explain. When you say he is vulnerable when changing form, what do you mean? Is he an amorphous blob of tissue which can be set on fire or riddled with bullets and can't do much to defend itself?

Second, what is the 'agony form'?

Character Description
Name: Max Zimmer (formerly Maksym Zima)
    Aliases: Mister X
    Gender: Male
Age: As Max, he’s a 97-year-old man confined to his bed, but as Mister X he’s probably in his early to mid-thirties.
    Appearance:

Motivations
    Goals:
    Fears:

Strengths and Weaknesses
Powers : Mister X doesn’t have any powers per se, he’s a stereotypical pulp hero à la The Shadow, The Phantom, The Spider (I’m noticing a trend here) etc. Subsequently, Mister X relies on his competence as a hand-to-hand combatant, high-tech gadgets, and his keen intellect to fight crime.
Weaknesses: Fundamentally, Mister X is an incredibly infirm and easily killable old man by day.

Background:
General: Mister X: Union City’s unfaltering buttress against injustice. This pulp hero relies on his physical prowess, genius-level intellect, martial arts expertise, and high-tech gadgets - primarily a gun that fires various non-lethal projectiles - to combat the fictional Union City’s criminal element.

It’s 2019 and a now 97-year-old Zimmer is in an almost permanently bedridden state in a care home just outside Seattle.

Have I mentioned that I love this character? He's getting better and better!

TU and I are working on an intro post for Blur and Eric Rankin (who I really think should be called Robo-Rent-A-Cop). It would be super-awesome to have Mister-X drop in on Blur's museum heist.

"Robo-Rent-A-Cop" is classic.

BTW, I am thinking of calling my other character "Blasterman". Figured it hadn't been taken...

I understand.

I can do that. I will remove that part you indicated later, since it's 4:00 in the morning and I should at least sleep.

When taking upon another (full, I forgot to add) form, he has to concentrate and stand still. Losing focus mid-transformation could cause problems, and he'll have wasted energy, forcing him to retreat and regain his strength.

The agony form is just a form that I forgot to expound on due to staying up super late.

I will adjust my application in the afternoon as I am sure I'll be thinking more coherently then.

Thanks very much for waiting. I appreciate it.

I have edited my application. Please notify me of any further discrepancies. I am willing to change in order to make ol' Pete a fair character to play as. Rest assured though, that I do not godmod. And if ever I unconsciously do, I'll fix it.

I think Mister X is complete, I just can’t quite decide on his costume. I’m thinking something that’s a combination of these except with a red ‘X’ motif emblazoned on his chest:

Don't worry, I didn't imagine you were planning to Godmod.

There is one or two things I still have questions about. You have said he must maintain contact for 10 seconds that he can affect someone. How fast can he affect someone and at what distance? I had suggested contact earlier as that allows other people to get away (which I feel is quite important in this type of RP).

You've also mentioned him wasting energy if hurt while regenning? Doesn't he have pretty much infinite enery?

Indeed, I should further explain on that. Sorry, I'm not as good at making applications as I used to be. o.o

To be able to affect someone, Pete must first get a basic understanding of a person's body. He can't just touch somone and *BAM* they become dust. And in addition, he cannot affect someone from a distance. He must dynamically manipulate a person's biological makeup. It's not instant or even fast at all. The necrosis is slow and does not spread once Pete loses direct contact. I did include that the first time though, that he would have to be able to establish direct physical contact before he can actually hurt another individual.

And here's number 2.

Character Description
    Name: Alonso Calaveras
    Aliases: Blasterman
    Gender: Male
    Age: 24
    Apperance:
    Image

Motivations
Goals: Be a hero. Be noticed for helping people, and not just being a nameless person who got overlooked in gym class when teams had to be picked.
Fears: Failing. Alosno has felt like a failure for a lot of his life, and doesn't want to continue that. He will lose challenges at times, but as long as he doesn't feel like a failure, that's all that matters to him.

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Powers :
Knock You Out From his hands, Alonso fires energy beams that act like a solid mass upon impact. Alonso can make them so they are not full-force. Maximum damage can cause concussions if hitting someone in the head, or broken bones for a normal person. They can also damage buildings, with some effort break holes through walls, though it would take a lot of blasting to make a wall fall over.

(TO BE DISCOVERED LATER IN THE RP) Watch your back Not only can Blasterman shoot concussion energy beams, but he can also make them "home in" on his intended target. Say he's around a corner? No problem, his beams will bend and track you down. They can only make two turns, however, and each "turn" or corner the beam takes weakens its attack.

Where you going? Lowering the intensity of his concussion beams, Alonso can shoot out a harmless beam that can also grip its intended target. This intended target can be "reeled in", brought back to Alonso if he so desires, at a relatively slower speed that won't harm the target.
If there is a person with superhuman strength, the tractor beam will still grip on to them, but Alonso may be pulled for a ride. Same thing goes for a person with superhuman speed.

(TO BE DISCOVERED LATER IN THE RP)Every good offense... is a good defense. Blasterman has his defense in the form of an energy shield he can create. The energy shield stands about 3 feet in front of him and can be made up to 4 feet tall. It is not a solid mass, but a projection of energy. It is bulletproof, and can survive being rammed by an out of control car going 75 mph. However, in the case of the out of control car, Alonso will be knocked backwards through the air considerably, and so will suffer some kind of damage from whatever he hits. (He most likely wouldn't be able to create another shield in mid-air to keep the impact away. And even if he tried, he might end up with a broken arm as the force of the shield hitting the tree or wall or whatever would jolt back into what was projecting it, namely Alonso's arms).

    Abilities:
Alonso has a background in computer programming and is generally really adept at figuring out technology.

    Equipment:
Alonso has only the most advanced phone on the market. He likes staying on top of the technology trends so he isn't dealing with obsolete tech.

    Weaknesses:
Alonso has no combat training. He fights physically like an average, untrained young man who spent more time on the computer than in the gym.

Alonso is heavy-set as well. He won't run fast, and he gets tired quick if he has to run at all.

Background:
General: Alonso Calaveras was born and raised in Seattle. A die-hard Seahawks' fan, he entered school and got a degree in computers. Since then, he took a job working at Northeast Community College doing data tech and IT work. His parents are living, middle aged and still working. His dad is an insurance agent for State Farm, and his mom does office and secretarial work for a small personal injury lawyer. They are both still in the Seattle area, as are three of his sisters and two of his brothers.

Stressor: The Seahawks losing to the Falcons in the NFL divisional playoffs in 2016 really set Alonso off. And the aggravation he felt as a fan was soon followed by a hole in the wall of his family home, due to him somehow blasting his energy beams for the first time. Since then, he has learned to control his blasting in obvious sports contexts...

Motivations
Goals: To purge all crimes and injustice from Seattle, whatever the cost, and with his own ways.
Fears: He's afraid that everything he's done to fight the evils of this world would eventually be for nothing, as he strives each day to not let that happen... aand he's scared of dogs

Strengths and Weaknesses
    Powers:
    • Magic Runes: Has an innate ability to apply magical runes on his body that have the same appearance as body tattoos. Each different rune provides Lionel with different abilities, ranging from insignificant to very strong magical powers.
      • Rune of the Arcane Cloak: Summons a magical aura that glows light blue around Lionel's body to shield himself from incoming attacks.
      • Rune of the Twin Monk: Conjures a clone to appear in his position, allowing Lionel to emerge somewhere else nearby. Max distance of two meters.
      • Rune of the Thousand Fists: Empowers Lionel's fists with magical energy that glows light blue, strengthening the force of his punches.
      • Rune of the Leaping Tiger: Casts a bolt of flaming energy, wounding any living thing it hits. The magical energy from the bolt will surge through the target's body, creating a connection between Lionel and the target that allows him to quickly appear near them. Will not work on inanimate objects or creatures smaller than the average human.
    • Enhanced Reflexes: Lionel can dodge hits and stuff thrown at him almost very well, unless we're talking about something as fast as a bullet, or bulles themselves.
Abilities: An expert in martial arts, especially kung fu.
    Equipment: None
Weaknesses: The magical runes are only temporary and won't last long on Lionel's body. As time goes on, the runes would begin to fade, and constantly using them would only speed up the process. The fader the rune gets, the weaker the ability becomes. To restore the magical runes on his body, Lionel would be required to concentrate for a few seconds, leaving him distracted and vulnerable to attacks. If they're gone completely, it'll take him even longer to apply them once again. The stronger a rune is, the longer it'll take for him to apply it. Some of the stronger runes would require him to meditate for hours before he can apply them, leaving him in a trance-like state until his meditation is over. Some of the strongest ones would require him days of meditation. The stronger the runes are, the faster they would decay as well, and some runes can only be used once before having to be re-applied again.

Background:
General: Lionel was the local kung fu master in his neighborhood. He ran a kung fu school of his own, with him as the teacher. The school was steadily growing and getting more popularity before a group of gang members stormed into the place, attacking everyone inside and destroying the place. Lionel and his students survived, but received major wounds in the process. The attack was performed out of revenge. Apparently, Lionel had been skulking on the streets at night time in attempts to fight or stop any crimes, and one night he stumbled into the wrong group of people. They were looking to rob a jewelry store before being stopped by the police, called upon by Lionel. Some of them recognized him as the popular "kung fu master" in the neighborhood, and called in on their friends to enact revenge on him.

Eventually, this caused the school's downfall and Lionel's reputation ruined. Lionel was in the process of recovering from his wounds in the hospital when the Titan Affliction struck him and granted him his powers. At first he was shocked, and at the same time amazed. It took him a while before he could eventually master his own powers, as it was revealed to him that his knowledge in kung fu, concentration, and meditation were the primary factors for his powers' effectiveness. Using his newfound powers he took up the mantle as vigilante once more, but now more radical than ever, using his own rules and methods to combat crime as he saw fit.
Stressor: His wounds, both mental and physical, were the primary cause of the mutation. Long days of holding in the pain forced his body to adapt and mutate, transforming him to what he is now.

I like the concept, a lot. Could you please give us a flavour of what your initial tattoos will do?

We are planning to do the thread as an origin story to star with, then give characters a chance to progress and become more powerful.

I'm thinking of some basic magical abilities like shooting out fireballs and creating magical shields for defense, perhaps some illusion skill like a creating a temporary clone to confuse people in a fight, and magical enchantment to better improve Lionel's physical attacks and martial prowess.
