Might as well post it here, since it's been mentioned in the Discord already :P Basically, we'll be going against a few rank B and C supervillains that decided to team up to cause havoc in San Diego.

Ah, good old Discord strikes again. Any chance that I can plop Lisette into the action?

Tom said that the plan was to have Lisette participate along with those villains, but maybe it's slipped his mind to fill you in (or it was talked out and then people forgot, that happens too). I can TG you what I know if you want, though.

Shoot, you know what they did say that - I completely forgot that they responded to a TG from me. That's what I get for being up late.

Name: Jennifer Bernard
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible): Similar to this, except her hair is brown.
Young Blood?: Nope
Bio: Jennifer was born to the most prominent family on Tolaer, one that descended from its very first rulers. From a young age, like most other residents of the island nation, she was exposed to magic and other realms, but she was relatively disinterested, instead falling in love with the stories of superheroes she heard from the real world. She seemed to care little for her ancestry and magic ability.

In order to convince her that what they were doing was important, her parents made her go through various magic-training courses at the university. As she grew and learned, she began to realize the full nature of her abilities. She had access to a number of different dimensions, and magic came to her far more naturally than most. Her parents began to take her on field trips of sort, to other [non-hostile] magical realms so she could further her curiosity about her abilities.

Still, her drive for heroism made simply learning about magic boring and unnecessary, at least in her mind. Her two passions collided on one fateful day, but in a rather beneficial way. On one of her field trips, when she was around 10, she strayed from her father and accidentally ended up in a demon's realm. The demon was very weak, due to Tolaerans' spells, and unsuspecting of her. She managed to defeat the demon relatively easily, saving two of its' slaves in the process. That's when she realized she could be a hero and a Tolaeran mage.

From then on, she became fully invested in her magic studies, but tended to focus more on combat-oriented spells. She took classes on how to create magic items, how use complex spells, and how to make large runes. She made many a magical object, although she almost always got frustrated when her projects didn't work out. She's continued her schooling to the current day, always looking forward to her next chance to save magical beings.
Powers:
  • [Mage SUPREME]: Coming from a long line of talented mages, Jennifer has more magical knowledge than many a sorcerer around the world. She carries a number of magical items, many of them created herself. She has access to hundreds of magical spells stored in her brain, and has visited innumerable magical realms. A list of her magical everything's are shown below:
    • Magic Backpack: Carried with her at almost all times is, to put it simply, a magic backpack. On the outside, it looks like a regular one-pocket backpack. Once opening the inside however, you'll find that there are no limits. It can hold anything, as long as it fits through the entrance of it, preserving it in the exact form it enters. She keeps most of her magical items in there, alongside a vast collection of food and drink items, spellbooks, and spell components in case she gets trapped in another dimension. All she has to do is reach her hand inside, think of what she wants, and, as long as she put it in there before, it will come to her.
    • Danger Shield: A smooth blue-green bracelet that she keeps on her right wrist, it warms up when the she is in danger, deploying a shield.
    • Faerie Powder: Gifted to her after she saved a faerie from a minor demon lord, this bag of powder, when coming in contact with a hostile other-dimensional being, temporarily burns their skin. The bag of powder regenerates (is always full), and is kept in her bag.
    • Emergency Stone: A plain gray, round stone that she keeps in her backpack, the emergency stone sends a signal back to Tolaer whenever she is danger. Sort of like a panic button, all she has to do is hold it and think about activating it, and it will send a signal no matter her location.
    • Enchanted Sticks: She carries three black rods in her bag at all times. Once planted into the ground in the shape of a triangle, they together disrupt connections to other dimensions and therefore block magic.
    • Unicorn Horn: Sharp, twirly, and colorful, it'd be surprising for this tool to have any purpose beyond it's aesthetic. It's one use is that it enhances the magical ability of certain objects. It does nothing to the magic backpack, but it allows the danger shield to warn Jennifer of danger earlier and to take a few more shots. The faerie powder regenerates no matter what. As with other magical components, the horn must be physically touched and activated. It strengthens all magical everything's within the immediate area, not just hers.

Limitations:
  • Due to her young age, Jennifer is quite anxious for danger, and for the opportunity to actually use her magic. This can lead to some pretty bad things for her.
  • For her magic backpack, only things that can fit in the entrance of it can enter it (obviously). So now throwing an elephant in there and unleashing it on her enemies. Speaking of which, live beings cannot go into the bag, no matter how small they are. This includes aliens, supers, and other-dimensional beings. Robots can, but she doesn't really use robots.
  • For her danger bracelet, it warms up to warn her of danger a few seconds before it arrives, deploying a shield if she doesn't move out of the way quick enough. The shield can only sustain one blow before retracting again, staying that way for the duration of the bracelet's hot time. Once she's out of danger and the bracelet becomes cold again, for at least ten minutes, and then she somehow gets into danger again, then the shield will pop up again.
  • For her faerie powder, besides the obvious trouble of reaching into her bag, grabbing the powder, opening the pouch and throwing it, only refills to replace powder that is actually used. So if she throws a bunch of powder and misses, that powder will not be replaced. The powder only burns an other-dimensional being's skin if they are hostile; so no burning humans, aliens, or supers. It also burns for a couple seconds at most, intended to be more of a distraction than anything.
  • For her emergency stone, it looks like just any regular rock you could find anywhere, so if she drops it, chances are she won't be able to find it again. It can only be activated consciously, and can only be used by her.
  • For her enchanted sticks, they are about as strong as three regular sticks, so they can easily be broken. In order for them to have any effect at all, all three must be planted (so planting just one does not weaken anyone's magic). They disrupt all magical connections to other realms, so a possessed person would temporarily be relieved, magical bonds would be released, etc. This also means that all of her magic is useless inside the triangle. Also, there's nothing stopping someone from, say, taking out one of the sticks or breaking it, thus rendering them all useless.
  • For her unicorn horn, it must be consciously activated. It strengthens all connections to other magical dimensions (like the opposite of the sticks), so enemy mages are strengthened as well. It cancels out the enchanted sticks in its vicinity.
  • Compatibility issues are big for Jennifer. Since most of her magical items draw from different dimensions, as do her spells, they don't always work in conjunction with one another. For example, casting a magical barrier spell from one dimension and then reinforcing it with another spell from another would cause unforeseen issues.

Weaknesses:
  • [Weaknesses]: Doing anything magical requires quite a bit of time. For example, drawing runes, saying spells, or enchanting objects all require time, which she might not have on certain occasions. They also require a lot of concentration, so distractions can cause her to lose it and force her to repeat whatever she was doing. Most magical things also require a verbal component. And, as with all other mages, she uses magic by drawing energy from other dimensions, using her body as a conduit. Overusing magic can tax her body greatly.

Dislikes: Evil, root beer, responsibility

Another post is finished, well, partially. It's Part 1 to a 2 or 3 part fight scene, depending on how the fight with Gale turns out and if Nile is introduced properly as well, as both of them are more interesting and powerful than the redshirts Gaul has been blitzing.

Race: Human

Young Blood?: N
Bio:
Nile originally hails from New Jersey, and is from a fairly affluent family whose fortune was made through shipping and real estate development. Because of the luxuries he was afforded in his life, Nile was sent to private schools from as young as possible, and groomed to take over vital areas of his family's business interests. His development of superpowers was originally thought to be a derailment of his future, but his father considered the marketability of heroes to be a new and exciting business venture, and so, at age twelve, sent Nile to a private school for heroes: Arendale.

Trained and relentlessly drilled with the philosophy and idealism of heroes and what they represent, Nile began to shape his identity differently from the mold expected at Arendale. He asked questions, wondered why heroic virtues were so black and white, and wondered why all studies of villains and heroic enemies focused solely on defeating them, and made no mention of their culture, reasons for villainy, or other reasons that ones slipped such a slope. This earned him the ire of teachers and administrators, and he responded with acting out and rebelling at every turn possible, threatening his education many times through the process.

One area of school he excelled at was in physical education and power control, able to keep up with and even beat physically-powered students on his own, normal physique. He learned to use and control his powers of intangibility with acute precision, and was a constant favorite to win class-wide sparring tournaments. As he grew older and school grew to a close, he graduated with honorable mention yet subpar grades, and looked to employment opportunities in the hero business. Slim pickings for his career out of high school, many wanted experience or higher education, and many teams and potential partners did not like Nile's abrasive personality or philosophy, they always commended his power and physical ability, but he fell flat on the mental side of being a hero.

He would roam from team to team, never establishing a lasting connection with whomever he was working with, as the fights were boring, uneventful. The heroes never ventured out of their city districts nor went on adventures, Nile would end up getting into a fight with some member and either leave or be thrown out, heading elsewhere to find work. He wound up in Tuscon, Arizona and under the employ of the Rapid Action Battalion for work, and he was placed on a probationary period while his ability and mentality was evaluated. He joined for cash, and for the chance to have dangerous battles with superpowered cartels, yet found the same old same old with the RAB, and is just waiting to move on to the next "big thing".

Powers:
  • [Intangibility]: Nile is able to phase through matter and energy at will, and since his early teens, has had a very fine and precise control over his ability. He's able to isolate which parts of his body to make intangible, and is able to move just as quickly while intangible. His means of accomplishing this is unknown, but he assumes it's some form of quantum phasing or a partial teleportation to a mirror dimension.
  • [Intangibility Combat]: Self-Explanatory, Nile hails from a superhero school on the East Coast and was dedicated to using his powers effectively in a confrontation, learning how to fight and how to bring his ability to the table in a fight. He's developed a rush for battle, gaining experience and uncovering new methods to better perfect his ability.
  • [Enhanced Condition]: Self-Explanatory also, Canaan is a superhuman with superhuman traits, including better agility and higher strength than your average human. He's able to break walls casually and react at fractions of seconds, to give an idea of his physical ability.

Limitations:
  • Air: While intangible, Nile still requires air, food, water, etc., so he must hold his breath while going through physical objects that affect his entire body.
  • Tough Squishy: He is a superhuman with increased strength and durability, no doubt, but Nile has no means to heal faster or better than current medical technology and human ability. He can't shrug off gunshots or hits from far stronger opponents, for example.
  • [Matter Rejection]: For some reason, when Nile becomes tangible inside of another object, rather than fuse with that object and wind up in a stick situation, the other matter forcibly rejects him. For example, he's phasing through a wall and stops halfway through. Rather than be fused to the wall and destroy his insides, the wall forcibly ejects him out. This means he can't hide or conceal himself for long with his ability, but also helps by not letting him obliterate his molecules.

Weaknesses:
  • [Electricity]: A drawback Nile discovered while in school, an electricity-wielding superhuman (or any high-powered voltage current) can arc to his body and re-constitute the molecules of his body without his input, forcing his entire being to become tangible again.

Likes: Ramen Noodles, Danger, Fighting, Adventure
Dislikes: Idealism, Spicy Foods, Corn Dogs

Additional Information (Optional; remove if unused)-
Birthday: May 19th
Theme Song: FUCK DID YOU MEAN?
Favorite Food:Ramen Noodles, Beef
Greatest Fear: Having no purpose in life

Just to clarify the end of my last post, for the YBs, feel free to encounter one of the unlocated villians as you search the area though dont engage in any heavy combat until the group can react.

Very good app Neros, only issue I have is with the intangibility combat is I would like you to set a limitation for it, IE, are there some kind of defenses he can't bypass? Maybe some kind of energy force or material that he can't penetrate or can't penetrate as easily as others. In hind sight, I suppose electricity serves that purpose, just didn't interpret that way at first. So, I'll say accepted, good job.

Thank you, and yes, he can't penetrate electrical force fields or things like that. They basically shock his particles back together against his will and turn him physical once more.

Of course we're having explosions! Where would humanity be without random, dangerous, life-threatening booms? Though I'm thinking Mike might save it as an ace-up-the-hole. Probably try it on whoever/whatever comes after Thunderstruck (figured it might be a bit redundant against him). Or, if you find a villain you think would be fun to tangle with, you can call Mike for backup and he'll try to move in when able.

Have you talked to Bentus about that? I think they had plans for Marionette and just want to make sure the two don't conflict
