Summary
Disclaimer: This summary deals exclusively with events relevant to the main plot of the roleplay, which involves the Young Bloods. However, as we allow characters unaffiliated with the Young Bloods, there are plenty of minor and major events that have been left out of the summary. Still, it should be sufficient to inform yourself about the main stuff that has happened in the roleplay thus far.
The story begins on June 21st, 2017, centered around the students of Thomsen High. School has just ended and various senior students organized a big clandestine party in Wonder Island (an island that once belonged to the Wonder Warriors; more information in the OP). On the same day, Floyd Martin/Ares, Reckoning member, uses a special power-granting crystal on Westgate Prison, causing various inmates to develop powers and overrun the security. Sixteen prisoners escaped, six with powers and ten without, and fled to Wonder Island to hide before the party began, stealing the power-granting crystal on the way there. After a brief quarrel, they drop it and it shatters, causing a small earthquake to shake the whole island and causing mass panic, with most of the students fleeing.
However, various students, the 15 founding members of the Young Bloods, stay behind to investigate and ultimately fight the inmates: Roy Damon (not a student), Marvin "Mars" Asarin, Alexis Callaghan, Yoshiro Nakama, Wyatt Sutherlund, Amir Antakkiyah Zairi, Angelica Simmons, Kirisvala az Ranwynn (not a student), Wendy Felix, Austin "Red" Flanagan, CASSANDRA (not a student), Carter Greystone, Casimir Herman, Nathan James and Mike Matthews (these characters are all present in the archive, which is located in the third post of this thread).
After they finish off the inmates, a superhero friend of Roy and former member of the Justice Queens (a famous super team that operated for over ten years in New York before disbanding), Naja, arrives; after hearing what happened, she and the teens converse a little, which ends in them all agreeing to form a superhero team, albeit under Naja's strict supervision, both to control the media's backlash and to ensure that something like the Young Blood Massacre does not happen again.
Afterwards, there is a timeskip to the 4th of July. Throughout it, various player characters move into the tower at the center of the island and give it and the surrounding buildings some much-needed maintenance, as despite being government property it was practically abandoned for years. The 4th, after a brief conversation about their team name during which they decide on the name "Young Bloods" for its symbolism, the group has a beach BBQ party to celebrate, but it gets cut short by news of an attack on the San Diego Zoo at Balboa Park by an impromptu coalition of four supervillains: Weatherman (basically an attention-seeking clown with weather manipulation powers), Thunderstruck (a bank-robber with power armor and electricity manipulation powers), Dante (a powerful android with biological and chemical weapons integrated) and Marionette (Lisette Aveline in the archive).
The Young Bloods fly to the Zoo on Naja's jet and split up to deal with the attack: Mars and Kiris head off to fight Weatherman, while Nathan, Alexis, Mike and Casimir go after Thunderstruck, meeting a new ally and eventual team member Park In-Hyun. Red heads off on his own and ends up facing off against Marionette, eventually getting Yoshiro's aid and making it out alive. Most of the other team members go up against Dante, and barely manage to hold her off without casualties long enough for a pro superhero team, the Los Angeles Stars, to show up and beat her. Their meeting quickly turns sour, since their leader, Quake, isn't keen on teen heroes and Angelica has beef with him, but before anything bad happens, reporters swarm the scene, basically marking the end of the fight; police quickly surround the area and the villains (sans Marionette) are taken into custody, while some of the Young Bloods introduce themselves to the world, having made their debut.
The next day, most of the Young Bloods head out on a three day training session with another heroine, Elena, on a distant island called Isla de la Paz; meanwhile, in San Diego, Red goes to investigate the murder of the family of a member of the Zoo's security team, meets local vigilante Vendetta (Alexis Cain in the archive), teams up with her briefly while fighting mobsters after his search for leads went wrong, then gets knocked out by her and is later thrown into jail, being framed for the murder of the family and various others. He has a flash trial and is sentenced for life, basically, and with his one phone call he calls Yoshiro to tell her about his plight one day before the group returns.
The Young Bloods come back and have a meeting about how to help Red without breaking the law. Afterwards, they get a new mission: a group of vampires (not the ones in the OP, a different kind) have been manufacturing a drug (which Park had been investigating previously) called Blood, which is infused with vampire blood, is highly addictive, gives users superhuman strength, and causes death after several doses. They track it to the docks, where they meet up with local vigilante Blackout (Icarus Sarantos in the archive) and heroine Stella (Renata Martinez in the archive), accepting the latter and reluctantly cooperating with the former in order to beat up a large number of vampires who were guarding a Blood factory at the docks.
After the Blood mission concludes, they return to the base, having found out a couple of leads as to the location of the vampires' headquarters. Once there, they receive the news that Red was broken out of jail; Yoshiro, having been out of the tower meeting a Wonder Warrior survivor and former heroine called Voice, was the first to arrive, aiding a brainwashed Red in breaking free from Marionette's control as Marionette fights against a Raven in disguise, along with her allies Valkyrie (Brianna Erickson in the archive), Sebastian (a former MMA star turned ruthless vigilante with Colossus-esque powers; no longer in the archive) and Nick (Nicholas Finch in the archive).
The group arrives shortly before Marionette overcomes her opponents and surrounds Marionette, prompting her to surrender. She's taken away, while Raven and Brianna, who broke Red out of jail disguised as cops during a riot caused by Blood-infused inmates, explain that Red was framed of all the murders by Marionette, and hand Roy (who is the team's de-facto leader) a confession that was recorded earlier by Red during a meeting with Marionette. The team takes Red back to the base, leaving Naja and Elena to handle the PR and the confession; they get Red's name clean quickly enough.
The next day (9th of July, for context), with the leads uncovered by the team the previous night as well as quite a bit of information provided by local superhero Blizzard (Samuel Croft in the archive), the Young Bloods pinpoint the location of the vampires' hideout, and initiate a raid on the building with Blizzard's backup, a well as the reluctant aid of Icarus and Renata later on. Everyone splits into teams, with the first, comprised of Blizzard, Wyatt, Red, Casimir and Wendy, tasked with infiltrating the building and ascertaining the location of the security room and the vampire covenant responsible for everything. They manage to do so without too much difficulty, prompting the second and third teams to move in.
Roy, Mars, Kiris, Mike, Cassandra and Amir head to the basement, where most of the vampires are, in order to take them out, managing to so despite a few close calls from some of the team members. Meanwhile, Alexis, Angelica, Yoshiro, Carter and Nathan, along with Icarus and Renata, do battle against Inferno, a powerful pyrokinetic mercenary. He proves to be more than a match to the seven-man strong hit squad, but they eventually manage to overcome him, not without several of their members taking a harsh beating first.
Battered, the team regroups, taking care of their wounded and heading back to the jet; shortly before they leave, though, lots of helicopters show up, with members of a PMC called Warwolf (controlled by secret anti-super shadow society Lycan) arriving, informing the Young Bloods that the government hired them to keep the streets of San Diego safe and deal with the rampant crime rates. Icarus quickly escapes, being wanted for fighting with policemen and superheroes in addition to crime, while Sam and Renata return with the Young Bloods to Wonder Island, the former making plans to continue cooperating with the team in the future and intending to dig around for information on Warwolf, while the latter decides to join the team officially.
Then there's an eight day timeskip (to July 17th) to a surprise double birthday party for Wyatt and Mars (who were born on the 17th and 20th respectively); two new team members, Scott Green and Ellery Bastion, join during the timeskip.
Also during the timeskip, Warwolf settles into the city and crime rates plummet, with most organized crime turtling in instead of facing Warwolf out in the open. The crackdown on crime extends to villains, but various parties, including the Cabal (a secretive team of three teenage villains) and Kaban Bo'ol openly oppose them, causing various incidents of ambushed patrols, battling in the streets, et cetera. A group composed of Floyd Tolson, Nathan James and Marionette also raid a Warwolf outpost on the outskirts of the city, and elsewhere Icarus, who had attempted to avoid direct confrontation with Warwolf, witnesses the murder of three innocents and goes postal on their troops.
All of the above sets up the general climate of the Warwolf arc, which is the current arc.
Two days after the double birthday party, on the 19th, the Young Bloods are in a training session which involves three-on-three sparring matches which serve to further their skills and (in some cases) their teamwork, and leave a few of them in need of medical attention; also participating on these exercises is Tadeo Baltasar, who joined the previous day. That night, a group consisting of Floyd Tolson, Nathan James, Kaban Bo'ol and Wyatt Sutherlund raids another Warwolf base; things quickly go wrong and they're forced to escape, but the incident further puts Warwolf on edge. Elsewhere, at midnight, the Cabal sends a warning that, in four days' time, they will attack an important Wonders Foundation (a corporation that develops and sells expensive serums that grant basic superpowers) facility in San Diego.
A four-day timeskip occurs to the morning of July 23rd, with three new members, Jane Rolfen, Viviana Couture and Reem al-Hadrami joining the team's ranks, bringing the total up to twenty-two, as Nathan resigned from the team over the timeskip due to his involvement in the attack on Warwolf's base.
Naja confronts Wyatt over his involvement in the raid to the Warwolf facility (an illegal act, since Warwolf is officially San Diego's law enforcement), with the team's mentor deciding to allow Wyatt to stay on the team, with the caveat that he'd sit out of the next mission. Afterwards, there was a meeting where Naja told the team that they would be working together with Warwolf to protect the Wonders Foundation facility from the Cabal, which is scheduled to attack that day; this is the mission Wyatt was asked to sit out of. However, shortly afterwards, Red walks in with information that Marionette, after escaping from prison, is going to attack a fancy gala going on at the Hilton Hotel, which warrants attention as well. Red, Wyatt, Kiris, Mars, Cassandra and Reem are sent to deal with that, while the rest of the team is deployed to back up Warwolf at the Wonders Foundation facility, sans for Tadeo, who stays behind on the island.
Currently, both of the aforementioned missions are underway, with the Hilton team facing off against Marionette and the aid she recruited, Floyd Tolson, while the rest of the Young Bloods fight alongside Warwolf against one of the members of the Cabal, a pair of corrupted Warwolf mechs and (until recently; they're dead now) three dozen summoned beasts.
