Young Blood?: Yes
Bio: The girl known as Alexis Callaghan, daughter of Harry and Madison Callaghan, is a friendly, athletic and fun-loving student who moved to San Diego with her parents to begin her high school education in Thomsen High after having studied elsewhere in California. Despite arriving to a school full of strangers, some of whom were not merely humans, she integrated herself into the student community rather well, easily making friends due to her cheery disposition, and even gaining some popularity due to the various clubs and extracurricular activities she took part in, becoming one of the more notorious students among Thomsen High's freshmen (though naturally not as much as known heroes and superhumans who studied in the same school). In her free time, whenever she is not socializing with her friends and classmates, she dedicates herself to building various advanced machines and gadgets in a make-shift laboratory in her basement, though she keeps these a secret from other people as per her parents' request.
The above is mostly true, but it misses the most fundamental details. Alexis Callaghan the human girl does not truly exist; she is an android built by the Theocracy to infiltrate human society. However, unlike her android 'siblings', Cora and Hunter, she was not sent with a mission of destruction. Built by the Choir of Resurrection instead of the Choir of Destruction, she was sent to Earth by the Theocracy's leader with the intention of having her show humanity the superiority of synthetic beings over organic ones. To this end, she was made to perfectly resemble a normal human girl of an age that was deemed quite important for human development. An infertile couple desiring a child was located, and memories were fabricated for both them and Alexis, making them all believe that they were a happy ordinary family, though Alexis is destined to eventually realize the truth about herself and serve as an ambassador between organic and synthetic lifeforms.
For now, however, she is ignorant of all of this and more than happy to enjoy her time in high school and her teenage years, especially since it's the end of the school year and she was invited to a certain party...
Powers:
- [Android Physiology]: Alexis is an android created by the Theocracy, as mentioned. Thus, her body is built with synthetic materials and her mind is made of alien codes. This grants her resistance against powers that manipulate organic materials, as well as against mental attacks.
- [Enhanced Condition]: As a result of being an artificial lifeform, Alexis' physical condition is quite different from that of a human. Most notable is her durability, increased to absurd levels by human standards due to the alloys and fibers her body is made of, but her strength, agility and reflexes are also enhanced to a smaller degree, and her internal power source ensures that her stamina is limitless.
- [Supernatural Intelligence]: Having a mind with a processing power far greater than a regular human's, Alexis can think and solve problems much faster, not to mention she stores and retains data near-perfectly as well.
- [Technological Intuition]: Alexis possesses knowledge of the Theocracy's superior technology inside of her mind in the form of blocked memories. While this does not mean she has memorized schematics and such, she instinctively knows how to replicate advanced technology... or get as close as she can with her resources, in any case.
- [Gadget Gladiator]: Alexis uses an assortment of various gadgets and pieces of equipment to pull her weight on the battlefield (see below).
- [Mech Warrior]: One of Alexis' many projects that have been brought to life is a mech called Oberon, the Sovereign (see below).
Limitations:
- Though she is stronger and more capable than a regular human, there are certain limits placed on her with the intention of making her seem more human: processing errors, coordination failures, artificial afflictions and other such things.
- Since the tools she has available are often not as sophisticated as necessary to create quality products, the gadgets and weapons she makes are often simply crude imitations of advanced technology.
- As she regards herself as a regular human instead of an advanced android, she will often act as if she did not possess the abilities she does. She will, for example, be afraid of getting shot despite the fact that she could survive it. She won't ignore the obvious or things that have been shown to her in the past, though.
- Not being an organic being and thus lacking natural regenerative abilities, it is not possible for her to heal up on her own in the unlikely event that she does sustain damage.
Weaknesses:
- [Pain]: Despite her durability, Alexis can still feel pain and has just as much of an aversion to it as any human girl. Though it likely won't cause much damage, pain can distress her and lead to poor decisions, among other things.
- [Lightness]: Alexis is quite light, perhaps slightly more so than would be expected of a girl her age and size. Thus, it isn't difficult for other superhumans to toss her around, whether they have super strength or seismic or telekinetic powers.
Likes: Socializing, fantastical stories, sports, theatrics, building machines.
Dislikes: Skeptics, jealous people, inclement weather, messing up, keeping her machines to herself.
Additional Information-
Birthday: May 22nd
Theme song: Here
Favorite food: Burgers and fries
Greatest fear: Growing distant from her friends
Equipment:
[Head]
- [HUD Visor]: A blue visor that covers Alexis' face and gives her access to a heads-up display containing various data, including the integrity and power levels of her other gadgets and the status of her fellow team members (via their locator pins). It can take a few bullets before breaking.
- [Communicator]: Self-explanatory.
[Chest]
- [Armor Vest]:
A black vest that protects Alexis from things like knives and handgun fire.- [Shield Generator]: A glowing blue machine attached to the center of Alexis' vest which generates a form-fitting forcefield around her, able to resist superhuman blows, bullets and explosions alike, though it has a limited battery. (Can be disrupted by sustained, intense sonic pulses)
- [Locator Pin]: A small pin in the shape of a stylized Y and B put together, allows others to monitor her location and vitals, and allows her to send out a distress signal to all other Young Bloods in case of emergency.
[Hands]
- [Multi-Purpose Electronic Gauntlets]: A pair of metallic gauntlets which cover Alexis' hands and part of her forearms, sporting a massive array of different tools and functions.
- A holographic interface which allows her to create and tweak blueprints, as well as consult information.
- A recording module which allows her to record and play various reminders and other important snippets of information.
- An interconnection module, which allows the gauntlets to interface with nearby machines, as well as specific machines such as Alexis' computer regardless of distance.
- A repulsion module which allows Alexis to discharge pulses of energy which violently repel any nearby matter. (Can be disrupted)
- A traction module which allows Alexis to attract objects from afar. (Can be disrupted)
- A grip module which combines the functions of the repulsion and traction modules to grant Alexis a limited form of telekinesis. (Can be disrupted)
- A regeneration module which emits energy that revitalizes the cells in a living organism and increases the rate at which injuries heal and energy replenishes. Also applies an analgesic effect.
- A wrist-mounted cannon that fires cylindrical darts which release powerful electrical discharges upon contact. One on each gauntlet, each can store up to three at a time.
- An assortment of minor medical items, including wound-sealing gel, disinfectant spray, and anesthetic injections.
- A small plasma torch on the right gauntlet's index finger.
[Feet]
- [Rocket Boots]: Boots equipped with repulsion-based anti-gravity technology and special thrusters, granting Alexis the ability to fly with incredible speed and maneuverability. (Can be disrupted)
[Other]
- [Power Cells]: The specially-made batteries that power all of Alexis' equipment while she's out on duty. While they don't seem to have an use beyond that, in desperate times Alexis can eject these power cells from her gear and detonate them, generating devastating explosions.
Name: Oberon
Appearance: Here
Powers:
- [Robotic Body]: As a mecha, Oberon is designed to be a force to be reckoned with, able to face off against powerful superhuman. This translates into speed, strength, and most notably, durability that is far beyond a regular human's threshold.
- [Force Blades]: The swords that Oberon wields incorporate force-field technology, which allows them to either violently repel enemies as a means of attack or slice clean through most materials. While they are not a part of Oberon per se, they can be stored within its body and deactivated remotely.
- [Arm Cannons]: Oberon can morph its hands into cannons which fire off bursts of blue energy. The intensity of these attacks can vary; while they are usually restrained to non-lethal output, they can become more powerful to match an escalating situation, potentially having the intensity to punch through several walls. Sustained beams are also an option, though they are far more draining and leave Oberon vulnerable.
- [Energy Wings]: The energy wings on Oberon's back give it the ability of high speed flight and allow it complete control over direction and acceleration, making it a very agile airborne fighter. The wings themselves are incorporeal, though the emitters are not.
- [Shield Generator]: In addition to its natural resilience, Oberon is equipped with an energy shield which normally takes the form of a tight-fitting bubble, though it can be focused directionally to offer a greater defense at the cost of leaving other areas exposed. The shield is designed to take on anything from superhuman blows to bullets to explosions.
Limitations:
- Oberon has no artificial intelligence of any sort and as such cannot function independently of Alexis (or another designated pilot).
- While it has large energy reserves and internal generators which extend its battery life, Oberon cannot fight forever. As a rule of thumb, the more intense its performance, the faster it will run out of energy.
- For obvious reasons, Oberon cannot use its arm cannons and force blades at the same time (though it can alternate).
- In addition to having a limited capacity to absorb damage, Oberon's shields have another drawback: while focusing them directionally, Oberon cannot use its arm cannons.
- While using its arm cannons to fire a sustained energy beam, Oberon must remain stationary, which makes it a sitting duck; firing a beam also deactivates the shields, as all of the mech's energy is poured into it (it can be used during flight, but it will not achieve its maximum output this way).
Weaknesses:
- [Disruption]: While Oberon is immune to EMPs, the technology that its force blades, energy wings and shield generator rely on can be disrupted through the use of sustained high-intensity sonic pulses. This turns Oberon into a still very tough yet unshielded and flightless mech.
- [Overheat]: Excessive amounts of heat coming from external sources can cause Oberon's internal heat dissipation to fail, prompting it to shut down completely as a failsafe.
- [Backstab]: Oberon's wing emitters, which are on its back, are an easy target if its shields are not active at the moment: without too much effort, they can be destroyed or torn off, rendering Oberon flightless.
