Well, magic is indeed a thing, it's the same as the previous RP in fact, so you might already know it, but if you need a refresher all the info is in the OP, like I said. Feel free to apply Sofia again or go for something different.

Bio: Her story actually starts hundreds of years ago during the Salem Witch Trials. Sofia's many many many many many many times great grandmother was a real witch, well versed in the dark arts. Her ancestor knew the holy men would come for her and so had her entire knowledge of the dark arts and all benefits gained from it locked away in a very large book called the Visionomicon, placing an enchantment on it so that only a child of her family born with the power to use the dark arts would be able to see and interact with the book. The following week her witch grandma was tried and burned at the stake.

Fast forwards about 350-400 or so years to the modern day. Sofia Baker is born on Halloween, the first of her family in over 3 centuries that possess a specific talent with the dark arts, able to learn much faster than a normal human. While playing around with some old family junk in the basement, she finds a really big black book with a strange marking on the cover. Thinking nothing of it she flips the latch on the side and opens it up. First mistake.

The book slams open, flies out of her hands, faces her, and immediately starts to spew out enchantments and abilities and all sorts of wacky stuff. By the time she grabs the book and shuts it she's already solved the fermi equation and is working on calculating the speed of a rogue neutron star on a collision course with earth 619.37586745 years from now. After this initial burst of information and abilities they recede, still giving her superhuman powers but not as drastic. She spends literally an entire day sitting, trying to figure out literally what the hell happened. Then she opens the book again. Cause that seemed like a smart idea.

She spends days reading over spells and enchantments and curses and handwritten notes from her witch grandma and all that. She barely speaks and eats at all to the point that her parents begin to get nervous. They see their daughter looking at what appears to be nothing and muttering to herself and rejecting almost everything else, and one day they take her to a therapist. At this point Sofia has managed to shatter the curse that kept her fixated on the book, and the first time she uses a spell on another human being is to reveal the book to her parents. Now naturally, Mr. and Mrs. Baker were slightly concerned about their teenage daughter learning black magic from a long dead witch grandma, but in the end they decided they'd help whatever way they could. Because there's no way they can stop a witch girl from doing what she wants. Take it from Han Solo, bad idea to try to stop your very powerful child.

The rest of her life up until now is really self explanatory. She keeps learning from the book and advances her skills, learning many different types of dark magic and then slowly refining them. This has lead to some of her powers being sub-par, with possession, the crow thing, and teleportation being her most advanced skills. Her reflexes and intelligence grow with every addition to her arsenal, and she reads history and science textbooks for fun, so to add more to her vast knowledge. With the rise of two opposing super groups in her high school and the growing darkness inside of her, she feels pressured to do something. Anything.
Except wear a witch hat. She already does that.

Powers:

• Dark Arts: Currently teaching herself as much of the dark arts as her great great great great great great grandma's books can. This includes astral projection, Crystal manipulation and creation, possession, limited visions of the future(she can see possible outcomes, not the absolute outcomes), the ability to summon a murder of crows(rather specific, that one), teleportation, telekinesis, and the ability to lay down curses on other people. Likes to call herself Darth Sidious(jokingly, of course).
• Supernatural Intellect/Reflexes: Simply opening her many times great grandma's dark arts books gifted her with intelligence many times greater than her peers, and reflexes that would make Usain Bolt proud

Limitations:

• Still very rudimentary training, and teaching yourself black magic isn't exactly easy. Also, despite her happy go lucky and joking personality, black magic corrupts the user and it's starting to show. She is trying to figure out how to combine white magic with her existing set of skills to allow her to use black magic without becoming totally evil. Also, her visions of the future don't give absolutes. She can see multiple possible outcomes and try to make the best one happen but it's not guaranteed. Still better than the sham psychics at fairs, though.
• ADHD, offsetting personality. Rather jumpy and excitable, which doesn't match up with her power at all. Most people are just confused by her, and her bouncing off the walls doesn't help. Hard time making friends and it's paving her path to the dark side. She hates sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
• Little to no body strength. A scrawny little twig of a girl, with only basic defensive martial arts training that she learned because it helps with her "future sight" thing. That being said her reflexes don't do anything if she can't stop an attack and a stronger opponent with fast attacks could theoretically beat her. Just keep the magic bits in mind. Crows are dangerous.

Weaknesses:

• No body strength: Self-explanatory. Refer to limitations 3
• "If you only knew the true power of the dark side": Slowly slipping into the darkness that is a side effect of using black magic. Currently looking for a "cure" or at least more engaging measures, but if she doesn't find one soon she'll start to become a "bad guy"

Likes: Cats, Crows, Witch Hats, her small circle of friends, history, showing off, anything that has even a small amount of sugar, apples(yes, apples), Star Wars, The Tragedy of Darth Plagueus The Wise.
Dislikes: Rude or confusing people, goody two shoes, boys that try to flirt with her, people that intentionally avoid her because she's basically a witch(there can be GOOD witches)

Well, there's no Warhounds anymore and we did away with the Founding Member thing, so we replaced those two fields with one that asks whether you're a Young Blood or not. That's the only change in the app IIRC.

Name: Tolaer (tol-e-eer)

Type: Tolaer is an island nation, not recognized by any country for reasons stated below. Technically, the nation solely consists of a single city of the same name.

Location: Tolaer consists solely of a miniscule island in the center of the Bermuda Triangle.

Population: According to the last census, the population is around 1,000 humans, and many more magical creatures.

Notable features: The island ends on all sides in a high cliff, treacherous rocks jutting out from the sea below. Most of the island is covered in dense foliage, a small jungle. The only sign of human life is a small, dilapidated shack towards the western end.

Year founded: Unknown, but sometime during the 18th century.

Description/Lore: Tolaer first began as a sect of the Phantom Brotherhood, and soon became a group of its own. There was no violent secession or infighting, but rather an acknowledgement that each group had its own goals. The Brotherhood sought to fight back against dark forces from other realms, to protect Earth and its inhabitants. While the Tolaerans recognized that that was a noble and necessary mission, they instead chose to focus on studying different dimensions and the magical energies that seeped from them. They first established themselves on an island in the Caribbean/Atlantic area, where they sensed a focal point of magical energies, where multiple planes of reality overlapped. The first Tolearans built a pocket dimension, with its only entrance and exit inside a small building. Inside that dimension, they set to work building a city. It was as normal a city could get, albeit very small. It was limited to restaurants, suburbs, and a large university campus. The dimension was built to resemble the island its entrance was on, the city situated on an island, ending with an ocean on one side and jungles on the other. In order to protect themselves, the Tolearans cast many illusion and protection spells, so that the island remained undetectable to normal humans, which is the cause of the Bermuda Triangle’s infamous disappearances. They also grew mostly isolated from the rest of the world, and, as time wound on, fewer and fewer mages were aware of their presence.Over time, the Tolaerans explored many magical realms, making peace treaties with those willing and allowing refugees from war-torn realms. The jungles inside the dimension are filled with beautiful and interesting creatures, and the city is full of mages wishing to learn more about magic and where it comes from.

The app is finished. I actually had no clue what Dalaran was when making it.

If it's accepted, I plan to use it mostly for Yierneg's arc, but I don't think it would be unrealistic if other magicians and such visited as well, right?

City of wizards that got destroyed and remade as a floating island I figured it wasn't based on that, but it was the first thing that came to mind. And of course, we can see if we can't get that island tangled up in some other matters, with your blessing of course. Nothing comes to mind right now, but maybe later down the road.
