Name: A13X "Alex"
Age: 23
Race: Robotic, built by Terrans
Sex: Inorganic, voice sounds male
Sexual Orientation: N/A
Bio: Unit A13X was an experimental Guardian Class combat robot built by WDS in the year 2498, meant to test an experimental power core. During initial testing, an accidental explosion caused extreme damage to the unit, both internal and external. After being repaired, though, it began to act up, moving erraticly and not responding to orders. Eventually, though these went away, being chalked up to glitchs. After only about a year in testing, though, WDS mismanaged the experimental unit, it being misplaced with a large order of robots.

With A13X in tow, many Gaurdian units were sold and stationed to an isolated colony planet, named Palex, in 2499 for its colonial defense force. During its 11 years of relatively peacful deployment, A13X, now nicknamed 'Alex', had then again began to act up, and even disappear unaccounted for. While it would have been a problem, the unit did appear when it was need most, even applying aid to those wounded.

Through manipulation and bribes, a dictator had found a way to lead the colony, quickly putting the command of the robots under his control and ending the peace. For seven years, the dictator ruled with an iron fist with cruelty and bloodshed, usually carried out by the robots, until he was eventually overthrown. The robots, now a hated symbol, were either sold or destroyed.

Alex was one of the few that were sold, being bought by a captain for ship security. And for the next 4 years, this trend would continue until, recently, being bought by the captian of the Celestial Madien.

Appearance:

Weapon(s): Though he dislikes to use them, he has a semi-automatic rifle as well as a powerful revolver and combat knife. His body can also be considered a weapon, due to its strength and ability to take a lot of damage.
Abilities: Due to his programming as a combat robot, A13X is quite skilled in hand to hand combat, marksmanship, and can quickly adapt to many situations. Though odd, Alex has some medical knowladge from his time on Palex. While not doctor level, it is still quite a handy in emergencies situations. Though he only has one ability, it can be used to surprise those who dont expect it.

Overdrive- This ability allows Alex to use the experimental power source to its full potential, giving him a boost in speed and processing power to aid him in combat. But when used for too long, Alex runs the risk of damaging his power source permanently. May have a total shutdown for a time.
Crew Position: Combat Medic

RP Sample: Am I good on this one?
Did you read the Rules? Aye

Optional Stuff:

Personality: Like a machine, Alex is quiet, does its job, takes orders well, and even still talks like a machine. Though he tries to hide it, Alex is a kind individual, willing to help anyone in any way he can and prefers to avoid conflict if it can be done. He also seems to be polite, though whether this is because of programming or his own free will, is unknown.
Likes: Reading, learning, helping out others, and quiet places.
Dislikes: Unnecessary violence, those who seek violence, corruption, and slavery.

Alignment: True Good
Theme Song: Maybe later...

Sorry for delay.

Nexian Foundation is a financial juggernaut stationed in predominantly on Earth whose goal is focused on artificial and social human evolution. Unlike megacorporations, Nexian Foundation does not own many real assets besides few facilities to facilitate their experimentations. The Foundation’s strength, instead, comes from financial assets, which the Foundation handles a large bulk of Earth’s economy. Despite their financial power, they rarely participate on politics unless it is specifically against their agenda and prefers to take pride in their hundreds of “children” walking among other Terrans excelling on all that they accomplish.

The Foundation is founded during the early era of colonization based on the belief of controlling the path of evolution into transhuman territory. Some individuals, as colonization began and as Terrans started to evolve deviating away from original stock back on Earth, began to worry that identity of humanity will vanish. Gathering like-minded individuals, the Foundation was created as a nonprofit entity designed to guide mankind’s evolutionary path, with their ultimate goal to enhance humanity towards a species.

The Foundation’s operations are divided into three divisions: financials, transhuman production, and human relations. Each are titled Numbers, Genesis, and Exodus Division respectively. The Numbers Division consists of hundreds of hedge funds spread across all Terran controlled space with specific goal of amassing financial wealth for all Foundation operations. Genesis Division does not fiddle with untested research and development, but instead scans all Terran space to find promising cutting edge technologies with specific purpose of purchasing said technologies for production of their transhuman projects. Exodus Division educates produced transhumans and finds proper social standards and jobs by using their own networks. Most times, however, many of the Foundation’s operations are closely linked with megacorporations on Earth, as megacorporations are for the most part the best investment, R&D source, and workspace rolled into neatly-arranged five groups.

Each of the individuals created for the Foundation’s purpose are titled “Luminated Terrans” and are given the respect they deserve on the surface. In a way, as they both physically and mentally controlled “perfections” by the diction of the Foundation, indeed flawlessly adapt into their environments. However, perhaps due to this flawless nature, they attain scorns of other Terrans at large out of jealousy and alienation. Of course, money does lie, and the Foundation’s ability to move vast wealth are never disrespected, and Luminated Terrans usually receive fair treatment among other humans. At the present, the Foundation is under fifth generation of Lumination, with almost 100% of all of their operations manned directly by the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation Luminated Terrans that they have created.

It definitely shares some things with Whisper.... but I doubt it is as sinister as them... so I'll wait to see the apps before I make my decision, but it is definitely in the most likely to be added category.

Sure. Thanks for your consideration. ^^

This was what I was talking about when I was talking about "augmentation." Technically, it isn't "augmenting" as much as creating a homunculus. Long-term goal is to artificially guide human evolution by releasing their own idealized version of these new-humans to naturally mix into existing and what they think as "corrupt" gene-pool. Not all in the Foundation believes that the humanity is worth saving, and they believe that their version of humanity will eventually be seen as the superior alternative to giving natural births.

That said... true. They aren't out to take over the world. The Foundation will maintain very much no-touch policy with rest of the world. They are only interested in keeping human gene pool pure and guiding them through next step of human evolution. These Luminated Terrans will have physical and mental enhancement that should surpass traditional Terrans up to a superhuman level, but not something that goes beyond something that cyborgs and androids will be capable of. The only different between high-end androids and cyborgs with Luminated Terrans is that Luminated does not use any metallic augmentation... they are all biology. They will be capable of superhuman feats without using any augmentation which makes Luminated special; that and perhaps their long, youthful appearance.

Character App
Name: Nestor Kwon lum Stragas
Age: 78
Race: “Luminated” Terran
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Asexual. Nestor firmly believes that biological reproduction has been long since obsolete and that future of Terrans must be grown rather than born; just as his “parents” did to him, and just as their parents did to them. Beyond simple confines of necessity, however, Nestor is romantically inclined regardless of gender or species.
Bio:
Nestor was created by Stragas Sect of Nexian Foundation: one of few Sects in the Foundation whose goal deviates from original intent of the Foundation in that they believe that humanity should only rely on birthing process that is utilized by the Foundation. Nestor is thus educated in this doctrine that Luminated Terrans are superior to all other Terrans, and that Luminated must excel Terrans at every aspect. Nestor thus harbors certain degree of haughtiness compared to other Terrans, who Nestor sees as those of lesser birth than they are. Of course, the education system of Stragas Sect is through enough to make sure that their graduates do not exhibit their feeling of supremacy in order to prevent alienation and isolation from the population, and thus Nestor is rather good at masking his borderline racism against others.

Regardless, like all Luminateds, he was given occupation by the Exodus Division to work in the Sydow Industries. During his employment, he climbed typical corporate ladder up towards executive positions within the firm, becoming one of the directors for export divisions within Sydow Industries, dealing with both legal and illegal channels. Most of his jobs came down to dealing with sales management, where he oversaw exchange of sales between Sydow and all types of customers. For the most part, however, Nestor was more interested in corporate governance, ensuring that his coworkers and superiors alike wanted to see him succeed through persuasion and charisma. Over his time at Sydow, his team was recorded again and again as highest number of total sales of the year thanks to not only his own management of the team as well as his network of customers, but also thanks in part to subtle sabotaging activities towards his rival teams in the company. While the Board has basic understanding of Nestor's fishy activities, it valued Nestor's not only promising work attitude, but also his connection to the Foundation, allowing his ambitions to continue unchecked. Foundation, understanding that Sydow saw Nestor as a link between themselves, continued to support Nestor's rise within Sydow's corporate hierarchy.

Contrary to both Sydow and the Foundation’s expectations, however, Nestor retired from Sydow at the age of 70. While he stated that he was getting too old to run in the forefront of sales division, it was quite obvious that no Luminated would complain about physical limitations so. After his retirement, he requested and obtained a position within the Numbers Division within the Foundation, managing extra-Sol hedge funds using his black market connections from Sydow. This somewhat satisfied both Sydow's and the Foundation's expectations of Nestor, whose funds invested heavily into Sydow's projects and continued where he left off in the Sydow Industries. During his work, Nestor was known for passing down his Sydow network to his fellow Luminateds in the Numbers Division to solidify rather crumbling relations between Sydow and Foundation. It was seen almost odd, thus, in that after about first year of his work, Nestor started to invest increasingly on extra-Sol investments in an excuse to "diversify my portfolio," which the Foundation will soon know. After working for about 4 years, Nestor one day never came back to his office. On his desk was a letter of resignation and a warning to the Exodus Division: obsolete geezers should not limit the future of next generations.

It was quite obvious that Nestor would be caught, which he did so on his terms. He would be allowed to leave off worlds to pursue what he wished, and that next generation of Luminated, when requested will be able to pursue whatever future that they desired. In exchange, Nestor will operate technically under Exodus Division, maintain contact whenever necessary, and contribute to continued expansion of the Foundation. This was mostly a ruse, as both the Foundation and Nestor knew that Nestor was already checking the Foundation under a threat to expose its sensitive information to the public. Thus, Nestor was been moving from job to job outside the Sol system, using his vast and increasing connections to connect sellers and buyers. His most recent job, which Nestor believes has a good feeling for, has been under Ryker’s ship, the Celestial Maiden. Nestor has found stability in the instability of Ryker’s crew, which has been traveling across the universe picking up work on the way. It most ideally connects with Nestor’s own goal: to find ways beyond human technology to enhance the Luminated’s evolutionary path to create a new revolution in the enhancement of humanity.
Appearance:
[Appearance]
Keep in mind that Nestor is Luminated Terran, and as a result does not age the way that normal Terrans do. Specifically, all Luminated Terrans stop aging at around 30-ish and have lifespan slightly longer than Terrans with bio-treatment, standing at around 200-ish on average.

Weapon(s):
  • Foundation-issued bodyarmor, which comes with personal shielding and optical cloaking device
  • Several hundred dummy accounts spread across the universe in all Terran economies for secure transaction of all forms of financial needs
  • Personal AI for personal assistance
  • Personal account managing his private wealth, which has grown substantial over time
  • Device built into his suit with its own private network connection containing all of Nestor’s contacts.
Abilities:
Nestor is a Luminated Terran. This indicates that he has superhuman strength without the use of cyborg enhancements and augmentations. However, this does not go beyond breaking physical boundaries as Nestor is still “Terran.” Luminated Terrans are also more durable than ordinary Terrans in that they have redundant backup organs, but it does not excuse a carefully aimed headshot, which not even Luminated can survive.

Nestor’s bodysuit, which is issued to all Foundation personnel traveling beyond the Solar System, augments his enhanced abilities, allowing him to survive most encounters and helps avoid contact. However, as with all Foundation-issues, it is not exactly made for offensive purposes. While Nestor can arm himself, his bodysuit function is to avoid and escape combat and not necessarily for engagement, limiting his combat potential.

Beyond his physical capabilities, all Luminated Terrans are latent physics due to sheer amount of metal capacity. Nestor, however, did not fully develop this ability and instead focused on honing his intelligence. As a result, Nestor is only capable of implementing basic telekinesis and telepathy. He can never read minds nor can he “attack” using minds. His telekinetic ability is also extremely limited in that he cannot lift and move objects heavy or fast enough to be of lethal capacity.

All in all, Nestor is not a combat-personnel. What he excels in is managing finance and brokering deals and manage connections. He has insight and knowledge of all financial systems across the Terran controlled space, and has vast network in both legal and illegal channels from his days in Sydow Industries. Furthermore despite his resignation from both organizations, he is still in friendly terms with Sydow Industries and Nexian Foundation, allowing him to achieve connection with them if necessary.
Crew Position: Accounting Manager and Ship’s Requisitioner

RP Sample: [Alternative Divergence] and all iterations of AltDiv afterwards.
Did you read the Rules? yes

Optional Stuff:
Nestor is at odds with leadership of the Foundation for restricting Luminated’s growth by controlling the new generation beyond their education. He believes that later generation Luminateds are far superior in evey way to their predecessors by sheer logic of evolution. Thus, previous generation has no right to control the growth of future generations.

That said, Nestor still maintains a friendly relations with the Foundation as a whole, and maintains networks with them as a extra-Sol advisor to Foundation activities. When he first boarded the crew, Nestor let Ryker know of this conflict of interest: Nestor will be able to drag the Foundation’s funding for extra-Sol exploration budget, but Nestor will personally be unable to assist in any operations that will threatened immediate status quo of the Foundation. While this does not prevent anyone besides Nestor from attacking the Foundation facilities (which are few and very far in between beyond the Sol system), Nestor will not be happy with such an attack to his home.

Nestor is what is considered a “third generation Luminated,” which has been first of his kind to be added with psychic abilities, which is still controversial among the Foundation for implementing “dangerous and fringe technology” to the Luminated’s creation. This ability has been completely scrapped during the creation of fourth generation, which has been opted to further enhance already substantial mental capacity for greater intelligence potential, and is still a heated debate among the Foundation Genesis Division for fifth generation’s creation.

Personality:
Nestor is openly polite during conversations, amiable and inviting on the open. He is very animated in speech, often times showing rather childlike interaction during his pacing. He does not show prejudice and believes that all species and race are equal. Of course, he does not put Luminated into that equation.

Nestor is educated under Stragas Sect that openly believes that Luminated is the supreme and only path that Terrans will follow. This comes with fundamental Foundation’s belief that Terrans are, while corroding, the best species in the universe. Thus, Nestor is indeed treatment everyone equally: equally beneath himself who is Luminated. His animated, amiable, and childlike interactions are actually a subtle way of racism, as he believes that everyone besides Luminated is incapable of undergoing normal conversation with him without their inferior feeling being hurt. Of course, Nestor never openly admits this fact, and he has mastered a way to mask his persona in order to mingle with others.

Thus, to those that Nestor respects as beyond their respective species, they will find that Nestor is actually rather sarcastic and subtle. He isn’t openly hostile, but he will criticize others for no reason other than to see how they will respond in return. Nestor is inquisitive to a fault to his “equals,” but will only give his advice when asked. He believes that information between equals is power, and that he is unwilling to discuss things beyond what is asked.

So.

I'm thinking of creating a character whose past is very mysterious, an extremely sinister and powerful magic user and generally regarded as bad news by anyone who have encountered him. Although he is a powerful magic user, he considers it a failure if he has to intervene personally, preferring instead to manipulate people into doing his bidding.

Also, is there a ledger for people to have learned about each other's names?

Denied. No RP Sample + Don't know you = Instant deny. Also, app is poorly constructed. And you shouldn't try to RP something like the Oorjawashindi without permission, as they are not playable due to the fact I want to keep my vision of them unaffected by other players.

Posted!

As I was posting, the more I was unsure about the accuracy of my post to the lore. I tried to generalize it so that I can understand the fluff as the post continues, but...

If I was woefully or horrendously out of the continuum, let me know and I'll fix it immediately ^^;;;

I wouldn't say the doctor is obviously sleep-deprived... :p

...I liked the 'thou-shalt-not-even' thing, though. That was fantastic. Saying that to someone is now officially an item on my bucket list. (Which I should probably make a physical copy of, or eventually I'm going to start forgetting things.)

Character App
Name: Kuurramiitorviikarnaqq “Kuurramii” Igalikinuuksukopit(ᑰᕐᕋᒦᑦoᕐᕖᑲᕐᓇᖅᖅ “ᑰᕐᕋᒦ” ᐃᒐᓕᑭᓅᒃᓱᒃoᐱᑦ)
Age: 76
Race: Saef’
Sex: F
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual(?)
Bio: Born on one of the most distant Saef’ colonies, Tuumkilli(ᑑᒻᑭᓪᓕ), so distant that its inhabitants have diverged significantly enough that their dialect of the Saef’ is only just barely mutually intelligible with its standard relative when spoken, and completely illegible in writing due to its own special system of writing, Kuurramii, much like her home planet, took the Saef’ beliefs on individuality rather far, so much so that, in the course of her development, she never did develop any form of connection to the mental networking of her species beyond basic the basics.

This served her to an extent for a number of years, but she never was quite content with her peaceful little icy rock in the middle of nowhere. That being said, she’d be damned if she went closer to what she deems “The Big Irony,” her special nickname for the Saef’ Grand Consciousness. She was never quite actively rebellious, but, as fate would have it, the Celestial Maiden happened to pass through for a quick refuel. At that very moment, it stirred the fierce independent streak so common on her little home planet, and Kuurramii got herself hired, and has bustled around helping ever since.

Her skills in the standard Terran dialect used onboard are still somewhat lacking in places, but she usually manages well enough. If anything, it rather entertains her shipmates when she finds a unique Terran object, and refers to it with a long, excessively descriptive name until someone decides they ought to correct her.
Appearance:
Image

Weapon(s): By her definition, she’s armed to the teeth with office supplies. In terms of actual weapons, she doesn’t have any to speak of.
Abilities: Quite dexterous, and capable of extremely limited telekinesis, mostly consisting of holding a soda can while her hands are full. Other than those two “skills,” Kuurramii isn’t particularly outstanding in most areas, but rather perfectly competent in many, hence her nonspecific role.
Crew Position: “Grand Elven Lady of Nonspecifically Assigned Jobs” and “Saiv Ambassador for the Saef’”

RP Sample: C’mon, you know me, right?
Did you read the Rules? Ja

Optional Stuff:

Personality: If anything, Kuurramii could be summed up with the following: independently eccentrically foreign.
Likes: Kuurramii adores the Terran scent of vanilla, and makes a point of looking for it in any store. In addition, she has a great degree of interest in the Terran tradition of Christmas, whether the season is in or not.
Dislikes: Kuurramii, much as her backstory might suggest, rather dislikes the idea of a lack of freedom of thought.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Character App
Name: Meighawra Thladhumekhi(ⵎⴻⵉⴴⴰⵡⵕⴰ ⵟⴰⴸⵓⵎⴻⵉⴿⵉ)
Age: Keeping track whilst also hibernating is near impossible
Race: Lasallinet
Sex: It’s complicated
Sexual Orientation: It’s complicated
Bio: Meighawra, like most Lasallinet, has a rather uninteresting early life, as much of it was spent hibernating in in a colony within an asteroid in a similar manner to the tardigrade. This was ended with the construction of a Terran-run stellar mall chain on that particular asteroid with the expansion of mining industry nearby, awakening the colony of these creatures. Before anyone knew any better, there was an assortment of Lasallinet swarming the place, and the Terran mall in question found itself with a perceived source of free staff.

This of course ended rather poorly one the mining industry began to fail soon after, as the reserves ran out much more quickly than expected. With a new “home,” the colony began assembling the standard for Lasallinet civilisation, which was almost as complex as a small city, but with the population scarcely larger than that of a town. This period ended with the arrival of some illegal Praux slavers, who seized the opportunity to snatch up the assortment of free labour.

This went well, though after a revolt by the unwilling passengers, Meighawra found itself in open space, albeit along a busy FTL acceleration lane for smugglers. Meighawra’s hibernating form was entirely missed, until a crew member of the Celestial Maiden spotted the body, and snatched it onboard for inspection. Meighawra, upon waking up from its slumber, seemed perfectly prepared to follow orders, as it understood Terran quite well, even if it could only marginally communicate in the language.
Appearance:
Image

Obviously much less muddy than portrayed

Weapon(s): Own two hands
Abilities: Other than a “Will Do” attitude(A more forceful version of a “Can Do” attitude), and a tough exoskeleton great for breaking tough things, no skills different from a normal Lasallin.
Crew Position: Scout and emergency astronaut

RP Sample:
The Lasallinet are a bizarre species marked by their insectoid anatomy and metallic shells. Rather like snails, the shells are not part of the Lasallinet, but are instead generated around them, though in Lasallinet, the shells only develop once the Lasallin in question has reached its full size. Overall, the species itself has few biological quirks, with the sole exception of it being quite capable of functioning in an anaerobic environment for extended, surviving in even indefinite, periods of time, thanks to a combination of its cells possessing both mitochondriae and hydrogenosomes and its ability to enter a hibernation-like state similar to the Terran creature referred to as the tardigrade.

As an intelligent species, they are immensely fascinating to some niches of astrobiologists as they lack an identified homeworld, and existed in numerous systems even before they were elevated beyond simple rocket-based propulsion. Numerous theories have been proposed to the community at large, but none have gained widespread acceptance. This can be attributed both to the relative rarity of the species itself and their seeming apathy or obliviousness to such matters.

Did you read the Rules? Ya

Optional Stuff:

Personality: Meighawra is a rather quirky alien, always ready to listen, yet seemingly also constantly trying to talk. In the most simplistic terms possible, Meighawra could be described as rather nomadic in demeanour, but at the same time fairly dedicated to completing given tasks.
Likes: Meighawra has a fondness for eating paper dipped in chocolate milk, chocolate and strawberry flavoured milk, the powders used to create them when mixed with milk, and dehydrated mango pieces
Dislikes: Malls and Praux slavers

Alignment: Neutral Evil
Theme Song:

Footnote:
There exist no effective translations of Lasallinet language, as even the Lasallinet themselves cannot accurately translate it while retaining coherence as a sentence. The writing system is understood, and can be easily transliterated into Latin script, but likewise, written Lasallinet cannot be translated. The Lasallinet who have a grasp of standard Terran have a saying explaining their language’s complexity to non-Lasallinet: “Is easier to talk the Terran talk than to talk the Lasallinet walk-talk.”

Character App
Name: Eldrath "Drakeseer" Mornstar
Age: 1,211
Race: Saef
Sex: M
Sexual Orientation: Straight-ish
Bio: Eldrath Mornstar was born in the Saef homeworld, Mereth. Fascinated with magic since childhood, the young Saef soon enough became a powerful mage in his own right. He was, however, arrogant and a total dick. Eldrath challenged an archmage to a magic battle, which he lost. Furious and screaming that his foe cheated(when he was just not as good as the archmage), he became a rogue mage bent on ruining everyone's day. He left the Grand Saef Empire's territories, becoming a dangerous menace as he and his band of mercenary Terrans attacked small patrols and colonies, killing thousands as well as stealing ginormous amounts of loot in the course of 600 years. Growing in knowledge and arrogance, Eldrath was finally humbled when his own terran mercenaries turned on him after a much larger bounty was offered by Saef authorities. Though he escaped aboard his last destroyer class ship, he cursed the universe, and became truly spiteful. Alas, it was a young terran lady that caused him to make a 360 degree turn from his fury and arrogance. No one else knows the exact details, but when Eldrath decided to mingle amongst Terrans in Earth, it was a certain Fanny Gladstone that captured the Saef mage's heart. First, they met in a restaurant, and became, well, friends. As time passed on, Eldrath realized that he had something for this terran woman, and confessed to her. At the same time, he admitted his origin as a rogue mage terrorizing the weak, but she had changed that. He has changed his mindset, now only if-

Then she told him...

"Sorry, but I am married."

Devastated, Eldrath left the Earth, looking for something to do. Alas... there was the Celestial Maiden, waiting. He signed up as one of its crew, and thus a new chapter began.
Appearance:
Image

Weapon(s): Runesword and fusion pistol
Abilities: Fire and frost magic, as well loading his weapons with magic energy to make them more deadly. The fire magic is mostly restricted to immolating small areas, which is fatal against unprotected infantry. The frost magic in itself deals no damage, but instead freezes single targets into place. Loading his weapons with energy turns them to force weapons that are capable pf cleaving through armor and incinerating unshielded enemies. A clever foe, however, can nullify such an advantage by separating him from his weapon, ex. hitting his sword hand with a hammer, causing the sword to fly off.
Crew Position: Mercenary guardsman

Frostborn Peak
Fall of Frostborn, page 12. Excerpt by Zermeon the Windmeister

Blood.

Blood has been raining without any sign of stopping for nearly a month now. The Shardlight have informed of us of the following. Arcadius has fallen to Arianna the Vile-Blooded Queen and Abaddon the Merciless. Frosnir the Ice Master has died while protecting the Iris of the Ice Lord, and we can only assume that many of our kindred in Arcadius now lie there as cold, stony corpses. Neptukos the Tidehunter, Magatha the Archmage, and High Keeper Mael Stellion have kept the enemy at bay in their respetive cities, but it was all apparently a distraction measure, as Arcadius never received any aid save for the Shardlight that saved what few dwarves they could. Ah. Highlord Kelenor is calling me again. This will be all for now.

Fall of Frostborn Peak, page 15. Excerpt by A'rthal

We did what we could to prepare the mountain city's defences in the face of the incoming onslaught. Reinforcements from the strongholds from Karakul, Darrowdelf, and Krebsor have strengthened the numbers of the dwarven defenders, but our forces are still heavily outnumbered by the massive Blood Cursed army. Not to mention that they have two demi-gods with them, Arianna and Abaddon. This is truly a fight where only one can win. Either they, or us. And for now,
they are having the upper hand. With the never ending rain of blood, the Blood Cursed can constantly throw their blood sorcery at us.

Fall of Frostborn Peak, page 165, excerpt by Highlord Kelenor the Firelord

The devils have taken the front gates and have decimated our forces. We are evacuating the civilians through the tunnels to Stonetalon Forge as fast we could, but apparently, nothing can stop the endless thirst of slaughter of Abaddon the Merciless. It seems that I will have to confront him myself.

Fall of Frostborn Peak, page 180, excerpt by Highlord Kelenor the Firelord

We failed.

Frostborn Peak

Amongst the never ending rain of blood and the pitch red snows, a great army marched towards the ultimate prize. The Disks of Zarin Embermeld.

In the head of the massive legions of blood sucking monstrosities, shadow creatures, and rogue humans, two individuals whose names alones sparked fear in those who heard them walked. Arianna the Vile-Blooded Queen, atop her Shul-Vykora, and Abaddon the Merciless, still with the Ashenblade in hand. They looked upon the great mountain beholden in front of them. A once verdant white peak, its slopes are now a sickly black with the never ending rain of blood that Hemeos has blessed his "children' with. In front of the great mountain, a gigantic gate of stone and steel blocked their way, as well as a long stone wall. From a distance, the wall clearly had heavy defensive weaponry on top, as well small stony figures that wielded what looked like metal tubes with wooden handles; primitive rifles. In the sky above, glowing, radiant beings of light floated in utter silence. The Starborn, servants of the Starlord himself. Besides them, dwarven gryphon riders flew in the dark skies, wielding storm hammers that channeled bolts of lightning upon where they willed. Far below them, the constructs of the dwarven army awaited. Spiderlike constructs, armed with fiery flame throwers awaited to strike from the shadows, and metal and stone golems formed the frontline. At the head of the dwarven army was Zermeon the Windmeister. Wizened by years of service to the Dwarven mage order, Zermeon is the life long ally and friend of the great Dwarven Firelord, Kelenor Embermeld. Ever since Kelenor was stricken by the Curse of the Flesh, Zermeon has taken to himself to be the Highlord's closest companion. Zermeon, along with the Highlord's high elf mentor, Antreus, and the Shardlight, A'rthal, were the ones that helped the Highlord overcome his depression. As turning to a fleshly creature wasn't in the best interests of any of the stony members of the race, along with it came sicknesses of the mind and debilitating emotions. Fear. Anger. Jealousy. Hatred. All of these nearly drove him to madness, but somehow, he did not.

As the massive army of invaders marched forward, bullets, bolts of magical attacks, catapault and ballista projectiles rained down on them, but it did little more than dent their numbers. They surged forward and engaged head first the dwarven golems stationed outside the wall, who proceeded to mash their attackers to pulp. Bodies were crushed, heads were smashed, and corpses flew hundreds of meters into the air as the golems defended their creators. However, with the blood rain sustaining their Blood Sorcery, it took the Blood Cursed and their allies not so much time to completely wipe out the golems. Arianna rode her infernal mount and blew blue flames into the embattlements on the wall, melting the stony bodies of the dwarves and burning the catapaults and ballistae to ash. Abaddon, his Mammons and Fiends, and Manticore riders strode forward and began their furious slaughter. Manticor riders engaged the gyrphon riders and Stellarion in the skies, while Mammons simply sifted their way in the darkness, slaughtering many a dwarf warrior with their terrifying attacks. Fiends clawed their way, killing and destroying anything that stoodin their way. However, as they came through the open gates of the second wall, they were met with an unpleasant surprise. The Nertherian spider constructs have stationed themselves near the gates, blowing flames at anyone that crossed to the other side. Hundreds were incinerated as the sadistic Nertherians relished in the ashes of their enemies. Anyone that survived the flame was soon shot down by dwarven snipers in the sitting on the trees nearby. However, Arianna, being the bloody killer she is, rode her infernal mount and one by one burned the spider constructs and snipers. After nearly half an hour of burning the constructs and snipers, the way to the city was all but open. The gates to the city itself was closed, and in the embattlements above, more snipers and mages threw their deadly attacks against their enemies. But one thing was not quite right... where is Zermeon?

Zermeon the Windmeister, at one point of the ground battle, was faced off by Abaddon himself. With the Windmeister blowing an uncounted number of Blood Cursed and Cythraul's minions to bits with his powerful wind magic, the Merciless one himself took notice of this upstart. The Windmeister, armed with the polearm Glordasel, which was blessed by the Stellarion themselves with powers of the Holy Light with which to burn the shadows and heal his allies, faced the Dark Prince in single combat. While being tireless as he is not a creature of flesh, his power was not enough to defeat the Dark Prince. To make matters worse, Arianna herself showed up and attacked him as well. Facing two demigods, Zermeon knew he cannot win. Knowing that the dwarves will still need him alive, Zermeon used the last bits of magic he had left to teleport away from the battlefield to the city of Wyrmcrest. There, the Archdruid Herstostrasz proceeded to heal the Windmeister's grave injuries.

Meanwhile, back in Frostborn Peak, just as the gates of the mountain were about to break, a great roar was heard in the skies. All looked to the south to see a great swarm of High Elven Dragonhawk Riders. 10,000 strong, the Quel'dorei's promised aid has come. The Riders then fought the Blood Cursed Gargoyles and Manticore Riders, leashing them in magical chains and striking them down with their highly potent magic. However, the Blood Rain was still there, and the mages of the Blood Cursed concocted a terrifying idea. As the gargoyles, manticores, and dragonhawk riders fought, the riders were lured into a specific spot. Then, in one breath, the blood rain turned to acid in that spot. Many riders were killed instantly, and all of them would have had it not been for the Celestial Dragon, Salendos. As he is guised as a high elf mage, he was among the riders that flew to the 12 Peaks to aid the dwarves in their fight. Seeing that the rain above them has turned to acid, Salendos used his celestial powers, creating a magic barrier that saved 2,000 of the 10,000 riders. The remaining riders them continued their fight alongside the Stellarion and dwarven gryphon riders. The battle of the skies continued.

However, not even the great Celestial Dragon can stop the unthinkable- the gates of the dwarven capital were shattered as Arianna used her powers to blow them to bits. As the dwarven ground forces have been decimated by the fight and those who remained fled to the inside of the city, the Blood Cursed and Cythraul's minions will find a deserted city. The halls, buildings, and citadels were all empty. However, Abaddon the Merciless has yet to encounter the great dwarven Firelord, and he knew where they will meet.

Image

The vault of the Disks.

Abaddon kept walking on towards the vault, whilst his forces scoured the city, stealing everything that was not nailed down.

He was right.

A small figure stood in the vault. The crown of the Highlord was unmistakable, and on his hand, he wielded a hammer and an axe. A long, red cape led down the dwarf's back, and he soon faced the Dark Prince. His mask only served to mask his fury.

"YOU.", the Highlord started. "Murderer! You slaughter tens of thousands of my kin, and for what?! For the artifacts we defend?!", the Highlord then pointed his hammer at Abaddon. "You dabble with powers beyond reckoning, BOY. The gods banished your father for a reason. He only seeks to cause terror and destruction. The Earthwarder was the one that felt that the Dreadlord may yet change, and was reluctant to banish him as well. But I see now. You are no different. Truly, even with your mother being a mortal, you show no remorse in killing the innocent."

Abaddon started. How did he know?!

"Why I know this? We dwarves are able to transfer between the plane of the Earthwarder and the mortal realm at will, and I went to speak with our god himself once before the Curse of the Flesh struck me. He told me of what he has seen, and one of them was your father siring you. But no matter.", he then slammed his hammer on his ground, which began to glow with fire. His axe also began to shimmer with fire.

"Burn in hell."

A calm, yet utterly disturbing laugh erupted from the Dark Prince's lungs. "Hahaha... HAHAHAHAHAHAH!", he raved. "And you think you can defeat me?! Just like how the Ice Master did before you?!"

"Do not gloat over your victory over him.", the Highlord roared in fury. "Do not even dare underestimate me, fool!"

Abaddon only smirked. "HEhehe, we shall see. Let us begin, shall we?"

"Oh, and I will go first!"

Image

In a flash, the Highlord sprung forward, and Abaddon in his hubris could only parry the Highlord's attack. He is powerful..., Abaddon thought. Kelenor cared not, however, and wished to avenge his friend Frosnir. He then attacked once again, this time with a massive fireball. This attack sent Abaddon to a wall, sending powerful shockwaves resonating through the halls, Abaddon would only get up and parried the Highlord's next furious strike, before counterattacking. With a blast of shadow energy, he sent the Firelord to the floor. The Firelord furiously got up and attacked again, but this time, he hit a shadow beast that the Dark Prince summoned. "YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN DO THAT?!", he roared, and summoned fire elementals.

And so their fight continued for hours, waves echoing through the halls. However, the battle was truning to the Dark Prince's favor. Highlord Kelenor is not tireless, and being turned to a creature of flesh allowed him to be tired. Abaddon, in the other side, was a son of a GOD, and can fight on and on. Kelenor, finally at a point, kneeled to the ground, and was too tired to fight anymore. Abaddon walked towards him, smirking, and pointed Ashenblade at him.

"Any last words?"

"..."

"Silence? Hehe... now die!'

Abaddon swung his sword, but it did not hit Kelenor. Instead, it hit a magic barrier. Nearby a high elf mage stood.

"You little elf!", Abaddon yelled at the elf. But then suddenly, the elf turned to a celestial dragon. It roared at his face, and said, "I am Salegos. It is not yet Kelenor's time to fall.", the Celestial Dragon then picked up the now unconscious Highlord and teleported away. At the same time, a Shardlight appeared out of nowhere, and taunted Abaddon. "The Disks may be yours, but you will need a massive power source to even use it. I suppose you know where that is, right? Yes, the Starwell. The Quel'dorei will never give up their fount of power, and we, the servants of the Starlord, will fight at their side and we shall never allow you to use the dark magics within it."

The Shardlight then disappeared.

Abaddon did not care. He walked to the Disks' pedestal, and shattered its forcefield. He took the Disks, and walked to a clear sky. The Blood Rain has stopped.

As Arianna came down from her mount, Abaddon spoke unto her. "The Kingdom of Quel'drassil is where we shall strike next. We cannot hope to even use the disks if we do not capture the Star Well's power for our own."

With that, the armies marched away to the south, leaving behind a devastated city.

Hmm.

Hey OP, what's the use of the "Theme song" part in the application? Just curious :]
The Commonwealth of Darksworth is a pseudo-steampunk space-faring civilization. With their technology having been acquired by invading a far greater civilization. Due to this peculiar situation, their tech is a mix between pre-industrialized and late-space age.
