How does combat actually work in these types of RPs?

Usually it's responding to what the OP draws out, like players reacting in D&D. We do not automatically call out confirmed kills most of the time unless odds are stacked heavily for our chars (Enemy soldier being stationary in the sights of a sniper, a breaching team having the advantage of surprise when kicking down the doors to a room). Just avoid making the chars look like Superman or Wonder Woman and it'll be cool.

Got to La Paz on the Globemaster. Took the Mi-8 out from the C-17 and put it together at La Paz. Flew on the Mi-8 from La Paz to mission area.
