Probably still a bit too upgunned. Ships from the pre-Empire era like the Mandator-II generally don’t compare to Empire-era ships in terms of firepower, preferring transport capacity and armor. Building the reactors to run heavy turbolasers is expensive as sin, and Republic-era star states simply didn’t have the need to justify the expense.

That's a good point, do you think the Empire would've refit the vessel to bring it more in line with the Tarkin Doctrine, or just scrap it along most of the other Republic-era vessels?

True but the Mandator 2 was different if i remember correctly, it was made to be able to have massive amounts of firepower, that was why no separatist ever attacked Kuat after the Pride of the Corp was built.

Indeed- but remember, we’re still talking in the context of the Clone Wars. The Mandator-II was certainly a heavily armed capital ship for her era, but is also specifically noted to have been outgunned Empire-era capital ships. Given the most widely used capital ship of that era was an ISD...

“It is difficult for me to imagine what “personal liberty” is enjoyed by an unemployed hungry person. True freedom can only be where there is no exploitation and oppression of one person by another; where there is not unemployment, and where a person is not living in fear of losing his job, his home and his bread. Only in such a society personal and any other freedom can exist for real and not on paper.” -J. V. STALIN
