1439 B.C - A World at War: In 1439 the great lords of Eastern Hymeria, West Brumlen, and The Southern Steppe and the Northern Clans all gathered in the Aurora Hall, the national ceremonial meeting palace for centuries. It was the 78th Annual Election Meeting to choose a king. The people of a lorddom would elect a king, the lord would come to a meeting with a few barrel loads of votes and the king would be decided. The grand lord was the secretary/overseer of the meetings and were temporary leader after a king's three term reign and before a new election started (Approx. 4 months) they are also the King's adviser. After hours of counting, it was said Lord Havorian Crawford of Eastern Hymeria won by 45 more votes than Lord James Iceton of The Northern Clans. Havorian was declared High King of The Known Lands and ruled for a decade and two years before the first rebellion appeared in the Southern Steppe. A man named Hazul Jakku, a basakin (middle - noble). Hazul claimed that Havorian added names into his barrels before arriving, this was not true however, Hazul was out for power, lust, and the eagerness for a war. Havorian rallied his forces, about 55,000 levies, knights, lancers, and man at arms marched across the Steppe which was a bad idea due to the Steppe being meant to cross with a horse. When Havorian and his forces reached the Red Mountains, several archers ambushed them while they were struggling to pull up supply carriages. Then, Hazul's army of bandits and gypsies (or so they say) came out and attacked Havorian's force. The battle lasted a day and Havorian was forced to retreat, he learned not to fight on an unknown terrain. Hazul had his army marched (With 1/3) on horses and were getting closer to Hymerian borders, another problem sprang up, lords started to claim thereselves as kings and claimants, while several supported Hymeria, the majority did not which lead to the end of the Hymerian reign. Now petty kings and lords all over fight each other for dominance over the Known Lands. A world war has started.
