Breck voted for Fitch because he figured that his previous work and good reputation shouldn't be overshadowed by a messy confirmation hearing.

Character Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Pantorrum
Character Name: Alexander White
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 47
Character Height: 5'7"
Character Weight: 142 Pounds
Character Position/Role/Job: Deputy Director of the FBI
Appearance:
(Image)
Character State of Origin: Ohio
Character State of Residence: District of Columbia
Character Party Affiliation: Independent
Main Strengths: Skilled Investigator, Skilled Leader, Intelligent
Main Weaknesses: Bureaucrat, Known to Mislead Media, Rude, Bad Name Recognition, Dishonest
Biography:
Alexander was born in 1970 to a family that lived in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. His father was a Pharmacist and his mother was the County Executive. With both his parents in well paying positions, he lived a mostly normal life. He attended public school, and expressed from an earlier age that he had an interest in law enforcement. He was shattered in 1980 when his mother had an affair, and his parents got divorced soon after. He never forgave her, and it would mold the way he viewed politicians from then on.
He graduated High School 9th in his class with a GPA of 3.4. His high ranking in a school with 791 graduates, coupled with his natural intelligence, made it possible for him to attend almost any school he wanted. He was under immense pressure from his mother, a respected local politician and current Mayor of Columbus, to pursue a career in her field. She offered him a position in her office, but he declined. He never had political aspirations, and often was upset at how little time he had with his mother. He didn't view politicians as good people, and wanted to do more for society. His father encouraged him to pursue his dreams, and enabled him to become a police officer. With his fathers encouragement, in 1988, he would write a convincing application to Ohio State University, where he spelled out his dreams and aspirations.
Alex graduated from college in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He went on to work for 3 years with the Ohio State Police. He would excel in the organization, making several arrests over his time with the police. He gained recognition for his shoot out and eventual killing of a wanted Serial Killer after having pulled the man over for speeding. In 1995, he left the Ohio State Police and went on to work as a Metro Detective in Washington, D.C. He worked on several cases over his 3 year run with the Police Force. He would lead several investigations into rapes, murders, and robberies that occurred in the city. In 1997, he accidentally shot and killed a 13 year old African American who he believed was pulling a gun out of his pocket. The incident put a major stain on his career, and became a very public scandal. He was put on administrative leave without pay for 3 months. Accused of racism and murder, he was acquitted in June of 1997. Never the less, his perceived actions would forever stain his career. In the fall of 1998, after having worked in law enforcement for 6 years, he applied to be an Agent at the FBI in their Criminal Investigative Division. Due to the very public incident a year prior, he was only narrowly accepted.
He would pass their examinations, both physical and mental, and start with the Bureau by January of 1998. His time I the field didn't last long. After showing success in several criminal investigations, he was appointed to be the FBI Assistant Director in charge of the Criminal Investigative Division in 2007. His work at the head of the Division did not go unnoticed. Under his leadership, the Division made more criminal arrests and successful convictions each year than any of the previous years since 2000. During his time in the administrative role, he adopted a policy of lying to the press. The questionably unethical policy would bring the Assistant Director into the limelight in 2010, when one of his lies came to light. He had told several reporters at a press briefing a year earlier that the FBI was investigating a prominent US Senator who they believe had been involved in Money Laundering and Tax Evasion. The lie would destroy the Senator's career, who resigned a few months later after admitting to the laundering and evasion. It was revealed later on in a leak that FBI never had an open investigation, but that Alex had long had his own personal suspicions. The policy he had issued to the CID eventually reached the Director's desk, and he immediately shot down the rule. From then on, he would deliberately mislead the press several times, but never completely lied again. He was on record saying that he thought it was inefficient to let the criminals know where they were in the investigation. He often would claim there was no investigation, or that they had already caught a suspect when they actually hadn't.
In 2012, despite the scandal, his immense success at the helm of the division secured him a promotion when his direct superior retired. He got the job of FBI Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch. The major position reported directly to the FBI Director through the Deputy Director. He would again excel in this position. The Branch executed its duties more efficiently and with fewer failures. Cyber Crimes were caught and prosecuted twice as frequently as during the previous Executive Assistant's reign. Other federal crimes were convicted more often as well, as he turned his sights on financial fraud and political corruption. His history of success in leadership roles secured him a promotion less than 4 years later, when the former Deputy Director suffered a catastrophic Heart Attack.
Alex assumed the role of Deputy Director on November 3rd, 2016, and would go on to assist the current Director in every way he could. Most recently, he led a very prominent national investigation in December, which ended in the conviction of a former Congressman on Sexual Assault Charges. The case helped to remedy his bad reputation, but no where near what it needed to in order for him to win any appointment to Director. The current FBI Director retired on December 31st of 2016, leaving Alexander White as the acting FBI Director until a new one was nominated.

If approved, Alex's first order of business, as Acting Director, would be to contact the Attorney General and discuss what needs to be done about Mississippi.

You may want to change your character's first name, there is another prominent Alexander who goes by Alex quite often. A Senator who voted for Fitch actually.

Character Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Dentali
Character Name: Glen Anderson
Character Gender: M
Character Age: 47
Character Height: 5’7”
Character Weight: 150lbs
Character Position/Role/Job: Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district
Appearance: (Photo preferred, not required)
Image
Character State of Origin: Pennsylvania
Character State of Residence: Pennsylvania
Character Party Affiliation: Republican
Main Strengths: Rich, Strong Blue Collar and Education Record, Family Connections
Main Weaknesses: Vain, Technically didnt endorse Reed, divorced, vulnerable to more hardline conservatives
Biography: (Minimum 2-3 paragraphs)

Anderson Industrial has been a giant in the manufacturing of industrial equipment and machinery for decades. Glen’s grandfather founded the business after returning from WW2 and it became a Pennsylvania institution employing thousands across the state. As a result the Anderson family is considerably wealthy.

James would attend Penn State and a B.S. in Business Economics and Masters in Business Administration. He became an intern with the office of a pennsylvania senator and worked closely with the senator's foreign affairs advisor, and would consistently volunteer his time with local political campaigns.

After College he was encouraged by his mother to accept a congressional position as a legislative aide for the Pennsylvania Senator. During this time he would hold various part time jobs in D.C. as a waiter and fitness trainer, mostly to give him some blue collar and lower class appeal in the future. After the Senator he worked for lost his re-election bid Glen became a writer for a conservative advocacy group and later a speechwriter the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate in 2004.

Returning to Pennsylvania in 2006 as a marketing consultant and lobbyist for his family's business, James began preparing for his own bid into politics. In 2012 he ran for the Pennsylvania’s 11th Congressional District and won 55% of the vote given the Republican wave at the time and his family's connection in the area. It wasn’t until after the election that his more moderate positions on social issues were revealed, although he avoided social issues as much as possible and could be whipped by his republican colleagues without too much difficulty.

In Congress he authored multiple bills to help protect and benefit emergency responders, especially firefighters mainly arguing that volunteer firefighters should be provided healthcare by organizations they volunteer with. Starting in his second term he began championing education reform join the Committee on Education and the Workforce eventually becoming chairman in 2016, he favored expanding merit pay for teachers and introducing ESA and voucher programs authoring the DC voucher pilot program. He supports extensive immigration reform and takes a hardline on illegal immigration.

In 2014 he campaigned heavily for the Republican candidates for the presidency across the state of Pennsylvania. When asked about a potential balanced budget amendment he called it a “gimmick” but enforcing fiscal discipline was vital. After 2012’s disappointing presidential election James would shift his message towards blue collar workers advocating the return of industrial jobs to America by making the nation more business friendly and lowering regulation. Controversially for a republican he has started advocating for limited raising of the minimum wage but believes it is a state issue not a federal one. While maintaining his focus on education he has picked up a secondary but growing focus on the fiscal policy of the United States, especially in light of the 2016 presidential election. He also called the RLSA an “abomination and avoidance of federal responsibility”

Very notably he DID NOT endorse a candidate for president in 2016 saying “I heavily favor Reed but I do not have a political record to base an endorsement on”. This caused a great deal of political blowback but he survived… once again having a close election but the lack of serious democratic challenges and a progressive joining the race, he once again survived

In his personal life he is divorced with 1 kid, the split was amicable but his wife has primary custody given his political career. Still he visits his 11 year old daughter frequently. He is extremely fit and running several miles every morning and focusing on cardio.

He is on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Small Business and Financial Services Committees and is Chairman of the committee on education and the workforce.

It seems lie his lie ended up being a net positive for him, proving instincts, catching someone they wouldn't have kind of thing. It seems his FBI name rec is pretty solely good with his high-profile busts, just carryover from twenty years ago as a street cop for the bad name.

Both work out well enough as a general weakness, it's mostly because of his extreme hyperability (breaks the record for arrests every year at one division, doubles the amount of convictions and catches at the next) that the balance is looked for.

Biography:
Matthew was born in 1970 to a family that lived in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio.
Matt graduated from college in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
It was revealed later on in a leak that FBI never had an open investigation, but that Matt had long had his own personal suspicions.
Matt assumed the role of Deputy Director on November 3rd, 2016, and would go on to assist the current Director in every way he could. Most recently, he led a very prominent national investigation in December, which ended in the conviction of a former Congressman on Sexual Assault Charges. The case helped to remedy his bad reputation, but no where near what it needed to in order for him to win any appointment to Director. The current FBI Director retired on December 31st of 2016, leaving Matthew White as the acting FBI Director until a new one was nominated.

I can fix those things then! The bad name recognition would come from when he was a police officer, and I can make his record a little less impressive.
I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again- Etienne de Grellet du Mabillier

Hmm. An idea I just thought up, you don't have to follow through but it might help, you could possibly expand from that shooting when he was an officer into a troubled record with minorities-maybe have both Congressmen he busted be black, and have some controversy swirling around about possible racial bias in his arrests/investigations.

Should be something that makes a pretty good weakness without being anything crippling, and can balance an otherwise strong (brought down a little from Superman levels but still strong) record-helps with the great agent but with controversy angle you seem to be going for.

That could work! Great idea, I'll add that in too.

Yeah, I'm trying to go for a kind of grey area. He's good, but he may be racist kind of thing. Thanks for the help!
