I know. But that's not how its going to be perceived publicly. That's why I want him on the Chase Report...he deserves the chance to explain his reasoning himself to the public.

More significantly, the fact that Fowler had assembled a team of Senators in opposition implies this to be premeditated-leaving Reed in the position of belief that Fowler lied to his face, and then worked behind the scenes to sabotage his primary policy achievement.
I doubt the fallout will be pretty.
