Basically Reed made a pretty poor choice in presenter choosing freshman Brankers from Washington to introduce the constitutional amendment. Brankers being a small town mayor with no legislative experience at this level obviously falls spectacularly on his face. And now Fowler/Breck/Lane wants to kill the amendment that Reed endorsed, and that will probably trigger a Republican civil war.

Hmph. Interesting that, despite being "Conservative", Reed would choose a Democrat to lead it

How much are Republicans split on it?

Do you remember way earlier in the RP, when Fowler was going around making enemies from everyone, and had this budget idea with him that cut like half a trillion dollars, and that everyone would absolutely hate?

Yeah, Fowler had secretly converted Lane against the amendment because of spending worries (which was way cool) and now Spicy's chekhov's gunning Fowler's own proposal back at him by showing it to lane (even more cool)
