But I want to run someone in NC because it would be fun and is not crowded at all right now.

Keep in mind you'd running against:
A First Lady with a metric crap ton of ties and experience living and working in the state, from Hollywood to Politics to Philanthropy.
A Relatively popular Republican Mayor of Los Angeles.
(Californian Progressive Candidate)
All in a Jungle Primary.
A Carpetbagger stands no chance.

I understand that, which if allowed, I want to change her history from former mayor of El Paso to Texas teen who moved to San Diego to further her career, stayed and resided thereafter, became a high school teacher in California and is planning to run for governor, so she isn't fairly new, she's been residing in the state for most of her adult life. I'm honestly doing it for the story, I think it's going to be neat writing as a teacher trying to run for political office.
