I had meant a comment or explanation on her weakness with rural voters, which does not seem to be explained. I had recommended the weakness broadened to blue-collar workers, and perhaps the result of dismissive comments in line with techno-progressivism, perhaps dismissive of job losses by automation, or some other such thing which you feel would best fit the character.

Doubt she'd make such comments openly since she was raised among the urban poor and is a progressive state senator after all. I aimed at her urban background and the fact that she openly advocates urbanization, GMO seeds and similar measures which might rub farmers the wrong way. I'll add that to the sheet:

Biography: Sarah June West was born in Boston in 1976. and she was raised by a single mother who worked as a physician in predominantly African-American neighborhood of Roxbury. Her mother was seen as somewhat of a hero of community due to her empathy and willingness to help which made Sarah June also popular as a kid. She went to local Roxbury Charter High and here grades were good enough to warrant scholarship at the MiT. It was in college when she started writing Science Fiction, and her work was soon recognized in Science fiction community. At first she wrote short stories but in 1999 she wrote her first novel: "We serve the Hive" about the progressive urban civilization built by Maarmi, sentient ant-like creatures. She majored philosophy and computer tech in 2001. and after spending some time in video-game industry she soon started writing full time. She won Hugo Award in 2007, for her novel "I alone have known..." about a highly intelligent robot who stays the only creature on Earth after apocalyptic climate change and discovers a cache of literary works, becoming obsessed with "Frankenstein".

Until now she had written nine novels and five short story collections as well as numerous essays, She was active in Transhumanist society since 2009 and she surprised almost everyone by her decision to run for Massachusetts House of Representatives as a Democrat in 2011. She served three terms in the House, fighting for affordable medicare, more funds for elementary and grade-schools in poorer districts of Boston and equity regardless of social orientation and gender. She also argued for introduction of more advanced computer skills curricula in Massachusetts schools.She passed a Bill that made Computer science classes official part of elementary school curricula and she attempted to pass another Bill that encouraged assignment of state funds into advancement of cryogenic life extension technology, . She also argued against budget cuts to healthcare and education and together with some Democrats took part in establishing special state award for Science given by the Massachusetts General Court. In early 2016. she passed a state Bill that called for re-education in civil rights and gender equality as part of rehabilitation of people convicted for hate crimes. In 2016. she joined the Progressive party, disappointed by inner party turmoil in the wake of presidential election and its reluctance to support more left-wing measures. She ran for Massachusetts Senate in 2016 on Progressive label and got elected. In the three months as a Senator she tried to push a Bill that would give more state financial support for public libraries. It is rumored that she might run for Class 1 Senate seat in 2018 or for gubernatorial seat same year.
