I’m about to write up my post for both my example and first post, so what would the area I’m landing be in?

I’m sorry, I forget- where exactly are you landing?

85% of the world is in the Neolithic, 10% is Bronze/Iron Age, 5% is Low/High Medieval. More or less.

I'd consider myself in Iron, chugging on towards medieval.
It's easier to do it when I work on a small scale, after all.
It appears I'm an INTP-T. You're not gonna get much more about me.

Right, but it's easier to get things universal in your nation.

No steampunk-ness, more schizotech. The Imperium of Man has factories, a railroad, guns, and steamships but a majority of its army when it comes to local use medieval weapons while the professionals use guns.

It would be for the best, North America has a few, a couple in Asia and only one in India. I think the Imperium's core region is in the Ukraine though.

Well that sucks, if I started in the America's would I have access to horses and other livestock or be restricted to American flora and fauna? Also how did the imperium become so powerful?

As of right now, America is just getting horses and European livestock through my country, Ego. Though I'm locked in a civil war.

Any owned territories that's developed has appeared on the map, and you don't get European livestock.

Areas far from Authors are not going to be changed from IRL as much if at all.

South America outside the Andes has barely been touched IIRC.

Europe and North America and East Asia would be most affected.

I think we are in the Iron Age now. If our technology was a bit more advanced, we could be considered medieval. Ego's political structure is already complex enough to fit the definition.

Unlikely. They’ve only become a polity in the last decade. They might have very distant trade links, but closer areas would suck up most goods of interest.

There is the whole of Africa that is barely touched.

Also, NA has the very start of some trade links with Europe. So give it a century or two and the Colombian Exchange will be in full effect.

Ego does have horses and some small groups of livestock they have spread around but nothing big as of right now.

We are Iron Age, more in the way of the Chinese Iron Age as evident with the progress of technology.

Bloomeries are more widespread but such things would've been attempted before the civil war in cities like Chicago in order to get better iron and closer to steel.
