The United Republics of the Andes and Argentina

Cordoba, Argentina
"...And with this, I place the final stone in the Trans-Andean Highway, connecting the pacific road system to the Argentine road system!"
The crowd erupts in applause as fiestas and parties occur all night long celebrating the accomplishments of the project and the profit and connection between the two sides of the country. After the success of the project the government has put more funding for roads between
La Paz, Bolivia and Cochabamba, Bolivia; as well as Osorno, Chile and San Carlo de Bariloche, Argentina.

Santiago, Chile
"This is our moment High Chairmen, our South American brothers have made their decision its time we make ours, we should support their independence and usher a new wave of freedom into the South American Continent!"
"But this could result in total destruction from the Iberians, Chairman! Do you really want our country to burn!?"
"If we are to burn let us be heros, not cowards, but alas we will not, the entire continent is rising up, I think we can destroy the enemy, they will have no support."
"And as for Peru?" Asked the High Chairman
"We can discuss that later, but we cannot stand idly by and watch our brothers suffer."
"Then we shall move forward with your plan Chairman Guerrero."

To: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland
From: The United Republics of the Andes and Argentina

Great and Noble Britain. We know your power is great, your might is terrifying, your wealth uncountable, and your dominion an empire that never sets. In the Americas a land of jungles, mountains, and lands of great beauty, we too wish to be strong nations able to function in the world. But we cannot do this as colonies of another nation nor as puppets of a corrupt empire. We ask that you not join the side of the Iberians on this matter whether you stay neutral or join us we don't care that's a decision your empire can make, however we can't possibly fight against your great empire and the empire of the Iberians, thus we ask that you don't get involved on there side. We hope this letter is received in warm hands.

Sincerely,
The Andean-Argentine Government

To: The Federal Republic of Brazil, The State of Venezuela, The State of Columbia, and The State of Ecuador
From: The Unified Republics of the Andes and Argentina

We are all brothers, we struggle together and fight together, we shall grow together. Divided against the Iberians we stand little chance against their mighty lines of Guns, and men in uniform, or their rows of Galleons and Warships. If we are to fight the Iberians and win, then we are to fight together or we shall loose. We must fight, we must give and help, we must be unified, in a front against the corrupt, the evil, and the enemy. We would like to invite your glorious nations to send an emissary of diplomats and generals, to discuss a unified strategy and support system to combat the Iberian threat in the city of La Paz, Bolivia. Remember we are brothers and a familia sticks together, no matter what.

Sincerely,
The Andean-Argentine Government

Nuevo Concepcion, Tahiti (Pap'ete)

After a bloody campaign the Tahitians had been reduced to a group of villages in the northeast of the island, this let the Andeans establish a port which they named after the city of Concepcion, Chile, since most of the B Company which was the best company in the invasion force was from that city. A dirt road was built along the coast and some people seeking a new life traveled to Tahiti to help build the town. Now with a population of 700 the town is growing well.

House Soltitude, Freetown, Free Liberian State
President Winston Dacquan was relaxing in his office chair, drinking a fresh cup of hot chocolate. Ever since he arrived in the lands which were declared as the Free Liberian State, his job was quite stressful, feeding 1,500,000 mouths on such empty land. Conquering the coasts in Sierra Leone and calming down their natives wasn't an easy job, and hundreds of lives were taken in the process, but he felt it wasn't enough.

His ambitions to conquer were not to prove the might of Liberia, but to assure easy and grand life for the Liberian people. Being a ruler was never going to be easy, but being one on the West African coast, being left to its' own devices? A challenge that proved itself to be intense.

Now, he had one of two options he could commit to. Whilst other empires like the ones up north have little to no worry, Liberia's resources are kept at a pace to make sure the country doesn't enter a crisis. He could spread inland into places like Guinea and such, or he could set up his planned "Trade Triangle", which consists of not only spreading across the mainland, but setting up colonies on the islands that Europeans called "Sao Tome", "The Principe" and "Ascension Island". However, some of these places were already touched by the Europeans. He grabbed a piece of paper and dipped his quill inside a dish of ink.

Dearest regards to the Liberian Exploration Agency,

I spend the qualities of my time to inform you that there is a measure to be fortaken. You see, here, us plucky and eager survivors of enslavement by the white man have taken steps in securing our country and our people, but how are we to protect them if they think of us as a worse option, because our nation lacks the resources? Whilst we do have rubber and rare fruits on offer, there is not much else we can give to the people. This is why I request for you, Captain George Carter, to lead us, and the thousands of people willing to see a surefire state, to explore the islands of Sao Tome and the Principe, to establish posts. I also want you to find other explorers to sail to the land of Ascension Island, where we will place a trading town, a hub, for the merchants of the globe. Technical runabouts will come later. What you need to do is chart those islands, colonize them and place our flag, the flag of Liberia.

Signed, Winston R. Dacquan

Now set in an alternate world where GS didn't go to war with Junkyard America for a second time because we lost a war against Mekishima and now in the canon lore we're Mekishiman clay, so treat us how you may.

ARABIAN CALIPHATE

After 4 days of sieging, on the 7th November of 1810, Russian and Arabian forces capture the city of Aleppo, bringing an end to Ottoman Syria. However, they were still Ottoman unoccupied territories on the Syrian and Lebanon coast. They were only protected by local, untrained garrisons.

11th November 1810 - Mahmood Rasul, the most experienced general in the Arabian army, known for his great victory at Aleppo, began attacking the remaining Ottoman Syrian lands, from the east. He captures the city of Latakia on the 13th, and then attacks south. For Ottomans, the Arabians have made an unstoppable offensive and by the 20th, Syrian cities such as Jableh, Al Hwaiz, Al Qamsiyah and Tartus were captured, bringing the Arabian forces total victory in Syria. Much of help was provided by Syrian rebels, who requested to unify with the Arabian Caliphate.

Total casualties in the Syrian and Jordan campaign: 126,000 soldiers

On the 4th of December, Mahmood Rasul launches an attack against strong defenses in Ottoman Antakya (Antioch). The attack was easily repelled, due to lack of siege engines.

"My sir, we need more men! We already have a lot of manpower, can I request you to allow me mobilize men in Syria to fight?" Said Mahmood Rasul, complaining to the Caliph.
"My Rasul, you are a very proficient military commander. However, I cannot accept this. If you want to conquer Antioch, you need a manpower force of your own. That's what good generals are made of. I will need my men to work for the Caliphate!" The Caliph angrily said in a strong negative voice.
"Y-Yes, my Caliph!" Rasul accepted.

Now it is January 1811... Arabian general Ziya Hidayat consults with Mahmood Rasul and decides to attack Lebanon and bring the end of the Ottoman Middle East. On 28th of January, with massive preparations, he struck...

ARABIAN DIPLOMATIC SERVICE

To: Regent of Ethiopia, Gugsa of Yejju
From: Caliph of Arabia, Muhammad IV
Date: 17th December, 1810

Ethiopian regent and mighty ruler of the proud Ethiopian Empire! We may fight over which coffee is better, but I hope that you and I realize we want same goals for our countries, conquest of unrightfully owned British territories and consolidating power in the region. Although our mighty empires have difference in cultures and religions, we will need to stay united to fight off against the Western imperialists. So, if you allow, we can begin an era of friendship between our two nations by setting up embassies and free trade agreements between our two great nations. I hope, as a sovereign monarch of a nation similar to yours, that you accept this proposal.

Sincerely, Caliph of Arabia, Muhammad IV

The Regent himself was not expecting a letter from a foreign power, thinking that to the world Ethiopia was but a old Empire waiting to be conquered. But to his surprise their neighbors to the northeast, the Arabians, came to him with such a remarkable letter. He laughed silently when he was deemed the "mighty ruler of the proud Ethiopian Empire", he was not the true ruler of Ethiopia, only but a regent to care for the army and the foreign affairs while the Emperor was busy dealing with domestic problems. He thus began writing a reply back happily.

Image

To: Caliph of the Arabian Caliphate

We do happily say that the Ethiopian Empire accepts your offer and agree that friendship between our two nations is necessary in these times, an embassy and free trade will hopefully begin soon after this letter has reached you. As for the British question, we agree that they are unlawfully and dangerously expanding into waters one unlike ourselves will drown in, and that the only way to defeat them and expel them from our native lands is to work together.
Though as you have said, our cultures and religions have always been different, and the history of our nations prior have not always been one of peace and love, let us make history of uniting together in a alliance that cannot be broken to stop the expansion of the imperialists that continue to plague our lands today.

signed with a steady hand.
Regent Gugsa of Yeijju.

While the regent was busy with the foreign affairs and trying to not have the nation destroyed by expanding Europeans, the Emperor was happy to see that construction of the port was doing well. One may say it is equivalent to that of a small European port, though they do hope they will be able to expand it further and continue to increase its size and hopefully increase its usefulness in the area, for the only port that would be there would be any of the British ports in Somalia and surely not all would be on good terms with Britain. He also declared the Military and Unemployed Support for Farmers act, the Ethiopian military and the unemployed of Ethiopia due to both not doing much for their country were ordered by the Emperor to begin supporting farmers harvesting and planting new crops, he hopes that due to this the people of Ethiopia will be able to find food, work, and continue to grow the economy. As well as keep the soldiers strong so that they do not grow lazy from the time of peace.

In the last 3 months:

Construction of the port of Djibouti continues

2 unrated ships were completed, ERN Gondar and the ERN Lion of Judah (ERN meaning Ethiopian Royal Navy)

purchase of 12 12-pounder cannons to compliment the new ships

Continue expansion of coffee plantations by the Ethiopian Coffee Company

On Behalf of Her Highness

Good tidings Jiaqing Emperor of the Great Qing Dynasty, we wish you good tidings. I write you this letter on behalf of our Empress, and to a further extent the Empire of Japan. Let there be peaceful tidings between our two nations.

Let me paint you a picture honorable Chinese. For a generation you have been engulfed in your civil war, for a generation you were unreliable to Japan. For that Generation we looked elsewhere for help, to become strong. To become reliant on ourselves, and if we've opened ourselves up to trade with the Europeans. The Empire of Japan is now ready to expand, and do not tell us you have not cracked down harshly upon those who object your rule among your own citizens. The people of the Philippine islands, the various kingdoms are now subservient peoples to the Japanese.

Let it be known that we are no longer a tributary of the Quing Dynasty, we are a sovereign Empire. And beware of this, the people of Japan will determine their own path. So if you think you can demand tributes, you are sorely mistaken. Now, if you want to speak to us in a dignified manner, then perhaps we can talk. We are not tributes, and we are not withdrawing our armies. Good day. And let our peoples prosper.

On Behalf of Her Highness

To Dewitt Clinton, on behalf of her Highness and the Japanese Empirewe will agree to help you in this regard, and to make a help with each other with our military practices. If you would like to carry out such discussions we are more than willing to engage in these discussions.

From the Foreign Ministry of Japan.

Trade

The Japanese now began to import Opium to China seeing that the skyrocketing prices were beginning to be a problem, however the solution was Opium. They'd sell it for high prices, then buy goods Europeans want bringing it to Europe to sell it for a good profit. This proved to be an effective way of gaining goods from the Chinese, making the Europeans happy, and the Japanese richer. This of course was all done on the extremely down low, and the traders began setting up drug networks to keep their little trade secret from the stingy authorities..........

Sure it would be a matter of time before others picked this up, but the Japanese were happy enough to take this trade to places such as Iberia, France, Germany, Italy, and Hungary. This proved to be effective when it's come to ranking in money from the European markets when it comes to Trade. The Japanese also sold Japanese goods on the European markets which sold well too.

Meanwhile they either took in money, knowledge, or weaponry. Meanwhile the Japanese also continued the opening of Edo to serve Europeans goods from the Japanese, while trading for Manufactured goods or other things.

The Philippines

While still fighting those who resisted, the Japanese lightened up on cities who were compliant and began bringing the benefits of Japan again. They brought manufactured goods, they brought trade to the Philippines, they made sure to make improvements on Philippine ports, keeping all the improvements under close guard by Imperial Soldiers.

The Brutal crackdown was lessened in compliant cities, and phamplents called "The Common Welfare" describing all the good the Japanese plan to do, but resisting them and bringing violence will only bring a negative Japanese response. However the Philippines would become rich and developed if they would fall in line.

Indonesia

Taking interest in what the Europeans call the East Indies, the Japanese have set up a trading post and for called Fort Takayuki.(Jarkarta) From there the Japanese would begin their trade and influencing of various tribes, kingdoms, and peoples. That might be through conquest, annexation, or assimilation through trade. The intention was to be able to set up a profitable place for plantations, which would be good for from this area.

Various resources and trades would be used from the area, and the Japanese East Indies Company was given the task to colonize this land, and make a profit doing so. This was the beginning of the Japanese colonial rule.

Throughout the island chains the Japanese began making their trade a dominant factor in local kingdoms, and forming friendships with these peoples. Meanwhile the outposts slowly grew into a settlement, protected by the local Japanese forts and soldiers.

RUSSIAN EMPIRE

Turkey

The Russian forces and now taken most of the Ottoman Turkey Coast on the Mediterranean and all of their Nortgern coast. Eastern Constantinople now flew a Russian flag and the only area still under ottoman control was a small section in the southwestern section of Turkey although this was fast disappearing.

Syria

The situation in Syria was much the same. Russian forces had pushed all the way to the coast and now controlled the entire North of the region. Russian flags flew in Aleppo and units had been dispatched to Damascus to help the Arabians secure it.

Iraq

Now all of Iraq was occupied by the Russians and the imperial flag flew high in every city. The people across the occupied zones including Iraq celebrated with the Russians who were instructed to be the nicest possible and hand out supplies to those in need.

Canton, Great Qing

Over the last months, Green Standard encounters with opium have experienced a disturbing uptick, with raids on known opium houses and dealers coming up with larger quantities of opium, and more frequently too. The drugs are clearly not of the weaker domestic strain, but a foreign one, likely of Indian origin, but, if interrogated peddlers can be believed, grown and sold by the Japanese. This, along with the barbarians insolent letter (a surprise they are capable of writing at all, truth be told), has been deemed quite unacceptable by the imperial government, and both the Emperor and Dahui agree the savages require some punishment. Like arrogant children, the Japanese simply need a firm hand and slap on the wrist to bring them back onto the path of humility. After some debate and slight dissent, mainly from merchants suspected of making a profit off of foreign grown opium, the government of Great Qing has come to an agreement on what is to be done, and have published a new decree, barring Japan from trading with the Chinese people and making it illegal for their barbarous agents to step foot anywhere in China, including Canton. Though violation of these new restrictions is punishable by death (both for trespassing Japanese and any Chinese merchant caught dealing with them), the Qing are not cruel, and have thus given the Japanese merchants lodging and trading in Canton a total of 10 days to leave Qing soil before they are pushed out by force or, alternatively, executed.

Jiangning, Great Qing

Whilst much of China has begun to recover from the civil war, an immense number of the peasantry remain unemployed and impoverished. Former soldiers, weapon smiths, and even middle class merchants and foremen are now out of work and largely out of cash. These destitute peoples, who after years of fighting and working for one side or another ended up on the streets and with most of what they fought for unaccomplished, have spent a great deal of time looking for something to believe in, something to support. Many have fallen upon religion for comfort and direction in these troubling times, and whilst many reinforced previous beliefs, a good deal held the belief that these faiths had failed China, and had as such fallen upon more exotic and foreign religions, namely the unique Chinese brand of Christianity started by Protestant missionaries and their Han disciples. Of the religious figures spearheading this largely underground Christian religious movement, Hong Xiuquan, a charismatic leader of poor Hakka birth, has emerged as the de facto leader of middle-China's growing Christian movement. Claiming to have been visited by God himself in his dreams, Hong Xiuquan is believed a true prophet of God by his followers, and his beliefs in Han supremacy, gender equality, and pride in the ethnostate of Han China have attracted many followers, including a good deal of Jiangning's garrison. With his translation of the Bible - the "Taiping Bible" - finally finished and entering circulation within central and east China, many predict his movement will only continue to grow.

In the Service of God, the Nation, and the British People

Ottoman War Update

After conquering Cairo, a large British force continued down the Nile River delta, fighting a number of successful battles against numerically superior but technologically lacking Ottoman troops. The British advance stopped at the end of the Nile River Delta, not far from the Ethiopian Empire's border.

In the west, small contingents of British troops advanced towards Libya and eventually stopped 50 miles east of the border, after fighting only skirmishes against local militias. All this land was claimed for the Empire.

After 2 months of hard fighting, Ottoman forces in the Sinai Peninsula surrendered. The tired but triumphant British veterans now began to march towards Jerusalem and some back towards Alexandria. A few regiments stayed in Sinai to act as an occupation force. Three large battles were fought in the Sinai Campaign, two being British victories and the other a loss. Brtish casualty counts from the entire Ottoman war are:

6,892 killed

13,523 wounded

2,542 missing or captured

General Hawthorne has been sent back to London to officially Recieve his appointment as Military Governor of Greater British Egypt

The Iberian Question

A week ago, the British Empire announced its support of Iberia in their war against the Brazilian rebels. A declaration of war was approved in Parliment and now, the British Empire is formally at war with Brazil. A small fleet consisting of 12 ships, a third rate, a fourth rate, and ten unrated ships, and 4,000 Imperial marines has been dispatched from Plymouth to rendezvous with any Iberian ships currently docked in Lisbon. These troops will fall under the command of Iberia for six months, then they will be returned to Britain.

Palestine Rebellion

As a large minority of Palestinians revolted for relatively unknown reasons all over British Palestine, Imperial Troops rushed through the streets, quickly dispersing mobs with the butts of their weapons and gunshots. The British Governor, Almany Dortine, in a panic, realized he didn't have enough troops to deal with the 15,000 revolutionaries. Quickly, although illegal to British law, Christian and Jewish citizens were recruited into local militias to combat the Islamic threat to British Palestine.

The Imperial Court- Kyoto, Japan

Image

Sakura was annoyed at all then damned arguing going in her court at the moment. Buisness Owners tried smuggling Opium into China, and the Chinese found out. What do they do? The punish all Japanese merchants, threatening executions if they didn't flee Canton within 10 days. First that's letter, now this, it was growing increasingly clear the Chinese had no respect for Japan.

The arguments ranged from apologizing to China despite no fault of the Japanese government, to war. It was a mess as the Imperial advisors through themselves to prove their points, and it was so close to literal physical in the courts. Eventually it was enough, and Sakura yelled "SILENCE!" am there was silence..........

She wasn't sure which way to go, however there was a letter of particular interest from the British. One that would definitely cause her a certain bit of delight. She took a piece of paper and wrote..............

Image

The Japanese Imperial Government

The people of Japan would be more than happy to enter this pact with your Nation. If you are to sign this pact, we have a request. The Chinese have insulted the people of Japan by cutting off trade for the actions of a few, and they lord themselves as superiors. Not only to us, but to by extent the people of Europe. They feel entitled too look down upon all peoples, but I say they think too kindly of themselves. Join us in a war to open their ports, and we promise your efforts will not go unrewarded, wether they be through Chinese spoils or other ambitions in Asia. China must be tamed, and we hope you see the reason in that.

From Empress Sakura Kazuma

With that, after writing a response, looked at the Court with anticipation............and fear in their eyes. Sighing, she said "War seems to be the course we are headed to right now, it is unfortunate but it is a necessity as it appears to us. Not only over trade, but over principles. Not only will this be an economical war, this will be a war of precedent."

Whispers broke out at what a "war of precedent" meant. Well, she goes on to explain "For too long the Chinese have lorded themselves as the lords of Asia. Their absurd demand to pay tributes to them was shameful on their part, have they no shame? I'd think not.........to think they have the right to demand tributes from a civilization wracked by Civil War, and recovering from said barbarism."

The men across the room nodded in agreement, albeit some were unnerved about what then Empress was proposing. However everyone was not unaware of the might of the Japanese military, of its Naval Strenthgh, of its Army's displine and loyalty.

"We will ready our military for a deceleration of war, then when we are ready, we will deliver our declaration of war and strike them. The Land of the Rising Sun will be ignored no more, Pitts the fools who do." with that, the room erupts in more arguments and debating. The Empire's course of action clear. How, not quite yet........

Imperial Readying

Image

The Imperial Navy prepared for engagement with the Chinese, meanwhile the Marines as well as the Imperial Army prepared for the coming conflict. The Marines Drilled and Drilled landings, while the Imperial Army did its own drills.

Meanwhile the armories of Japan began to produce Cannons for the Military. An Additional 15 Unrated ships were added to the ordered for the Imperial Navy. Meanwhile the Navy was doing drills for tactics that would be used by Imperial Japan.

This was all secret, and the preparations for war were known by no one. However the Imperial government declared its innocence, and China was trying to shift around its weight. This angered the people, Japanese news papers slamming the Chinese decision as the one of a "Empire trying to bully the people of Japan to their own decrepit ways!"

As anti-Chinese sentiments were on the rise, Imperial authorities began searching and giving young men documents should they need to be conscripted into the military. This would raise the Military to 2.5% of the population. Regardless the Japanese continued their preparations, and awaited for a British response to their call for help.

Meanwhile the delegations in Japan informed that of the German, and French delegates if they'd be willing to be of assistance. They didint have to be huge, it could be simply sending advisors or sending weapons to the Japanese. Regardless the time was coming.
"Yeah, you're right. You got lucky this time. If there were Dutch people there, you would be facing so many rebels!"

Hagia Sofia, Constantinople, Hungarian Occupied Zone

Ignac Nagy and Dragan Ilich enter the famed Hagia Sofia, once a great church, now a mosque. They have not come to pray to Mecca, but instead to reinstate Christianity in this glorious place. Hungary had entered the west side of Constantinople and removed the Ottoman leadership. Nagy had abandoned his campaign in Romania, once the Poles had entered. Then, he called up Ilich from Thessaloniki to assist in the taking of Constantinople. Within two weeks of besieging the city, it had fallen to the Hungarian forces. However, the Ottoman Caliph had fled, by boat, to the Aegean Island of Limnos, from which he continues to lead a resistance and his navy surrounds. Knowing the war was all but won, Nagy sent a message to the nations present in the war, to inform them of the symbolic victory. He invited the generals from the major nations to meet at the Hagia Sofia, to discuss terms on how to divide up the land.

Recipients of this message: Governor of British Palestine, General of the Russian Invasion Force, General of the Polish Invasion Force, General of the Arab Invasion Force

Great Generals of Countries Participating in this Holy War,

On this fine day, Hungary has entered the great city of Constantinople and took it back from the Ottoman menace. While the Caliph as evacuated to his hideaway in the Aegean, it is only a matter of time before he surrenders. Now, I am under the assumption this has been a total war. An all or nothing war, one were the Ottomans are left nothing. So, this is what I propose, either we meet in the city of Constantinople to discuss the division of the empire, or we agree to terms through letters. Now, this is how Hungary sees the division should be made. Britain is granted Egypt and Lebanon, the Arabs are granted Jordan, Syria, Kuwait and southern Iraq. Russia is granted northern Iraq, Anatolia and half of the Aegean and northern Cyprus. Poland, for entering so late, will be granted Romania. Lastly, Hungary gets the remaining Balkans, Aegean, southern Cyprus, Libya and Tunisia.

Signed, Ignac Nagy

The Grand Republic of Gran Colombia

Bogatá, Colombia
With the fall of the local Iberian governors, it was time for the rise of Gran Colombia. With this sudden change in power and government, it was clear that a Constitution had to be set, however many state that for this nation to survive, it needs support and recognition of being a sovereign independent state of South America. With Parliament agreeing that their best chance is to "ask for independence" it is highly unlikely that the Empire would accept more of their colonies separating from them. With this in mind, Parliament has passed the Civil Arms act. Enabling those not within the military to carry a weapon for self-defense purposes. Along with this, Parliament also talked about what to do with the request from the United Republics of Andes and Argentina. Going over what its initial meaning could be, whether it meant alliance or joining together as a single nation. Many looked at it as a way of combating the Iberians.

In the main square of Bogata, Simon spoke to the people. "Today my friends, we renounce the grasp of Iberia on our nation, today we declare our independence and will be recognized as a sovereign nation!" As this speech was going on, few men in Gran Colombian ports snuck on board some fourth rates, sixth rates, and sloops to stole the ships from the Iberian Empire that were docked there initially. Beginning the Gran Colombian Navy.

To: United Republics of the Andes and Argentina
From: Gran Colombia

Greetings United Republic, the Parliament of Gran Colombia agrees to a collaboration between our two nations to combat the Iberian empire, should it come to such an event. As stated by you, if we do not unite together against this common enemy, we might not ensure a more peaceful future for our people. Diplomates will be sent soon to the city of La Paz a month after you receive this letter

Sincerely
Gran Colombian Parliament

To: Iberia
From: Gran Colombia

Greetings Father kingdom of Iberia, today marks a grave day. As this day marks the day where we split our separate ways. We wish for this to not cause a rift between us, but with your war against the Brazilian revolt, it seems unavoidable. So we take this as the only time we can have to write one possibly last civil message between our two nations. All we ask is for independence from the Iberian kingdom.

Sincerely
Gran Colombia

House Soltitude, Freetown, Free Liberian State
Word had just gotten back to the office in House Soltitude that there was good news and bad news. Winston Dacquan was delighted to hear back from the Commander of the Fleets as he finally came to the conclusion of his voyage to Ascension Island and Saint Thomas (Sao Tome).
"Dear Mr. Dacquan,
We have some good news and bad news for you, my president.
The good news is we have successfully reached all the quartered islands that had been represented. "Sao Tome and the Principe" was landed earlier 2 months ago on the 17th. With this free time, we have also established the workable colony of Saint Thomas and a coast-based 'merchant haven'. So far we attract no one except some British and quite a number of those South American folk, but eventually, with a few good movements and the right timing, we'll reach there.

The bad news is two words: Ascension Island.
We had a hard time even sailing there, due to treacherous Atlantic waters, and finally settling there we felt so disappointed we could've committed suicide right there and then. The island is too small to be noticed, and there are no natural resources on offer besides rocks, sand and a few volcanic minerals in the utmost lowest of quantities. Me and my fellow higher-ups felt as if this would fit more as a... "prison colony". Like what the British did with Australia. Settling here or not is entirely up to you, Mr. Dacquan.

One last note, during our venture in Saint Thomas, we took note of how close the isles are to the coast of the mainland. If we also settled colonies on the mainland, we could mine down more resources to sell in Saint Thomas. However, this would get us under a dispute with the Iberians in Angola if we go too close to their borders or threaten them in any way.

Your choice, sir.

Signed, George L. Carter."

Taking notice of the logistics, and keeping in mind the ever-so-falling resources in West Africa, he had stepped toward the window overviewing his small city. Here, it was quite crowded with a number of visible poor. He had to give these men jobs, or else the state would fall to anarchy.

There needed decisions to be made.
Now set in an alternate world where GS didn't go to war with Junkyard America for a second time because we lost a war against Mekishima and now in the canon lore we're Mekishiman clay, so treat us how you may.

ARABIAN CALIPHATE

MECCA, CAPITAL OF ISLAM, FEBRUARY 1811

"On this day, February 18, 1811, we have defeated the Ottoman Caliph and made him run with his pants down! The Ottomans were rightfully finished and finally, since 1258, the capital of Islam is once again in Arabia. The place where it all began. Mecca!" The Caliph spoke to his people, which was followed by a massive applause.
"We have grown stronger. Hundred years ago, we were just disunited tribes which were steadily falling to the Ottomans. However my great father al-Yusuf united the Arab tribes and expelled the Ottoman oppressors from our land! We slowly united the Arab tribes of Oman and Yemen and made Arabia center of Islam!" The Caliph spoke with such ferocity that his courtiers thought he was angry.
"The Ottoman Empire is no more. We are left to ourselves and it's time to forge a mighty empire that Muhammad made almost 1200 years ago. FOR ARABIA!" He screamed with a strong and high voice that made everyone also scream: "FOR ARABIA!"

ARABIAN DIPLOMATIC SERVICE

To: Ignac Nagy, General of Hungarian Forces
From: Mahmood Rasul, General of Arabian Forces
Date: February 27, 1811

We have the received word that the Ottoman Caliph has ran away to his precious island! Good work. I am glad to say that I will participate in the peace treaty in the Hagia Sophia. The splitting of the Ottoman Empire is such a major event that it cannot be done through letters, there has to be a peace treaty. Once we are all there, with my diplomats and possibly my Caliph, we will discuss the division of the Ottoman Empire. And I will say again, we congratulate you on your victory! Also, if you find the Ottoman Caliph, I'll recommend you extradite him to Arabia, so we can deal with him permanently.

Sincerely, Mahmood Rasul, General of Arabian Forces

The Caliph on the 1st of March ordered demobilization of the Arabian forces, as the war has been won.
A big, 1.8 M blob filled with joy and enthusiasm, with a small dash of ingenuity combined with a youthful, healthy dose of idealism.

Russian Empire

To: Ignac Nagy, General of Hungarian Forces
From: Tzar Alexander I

I will personally attend the meeting in Constantinople. The Russian Empire seeks all Turkish land East of the Bosphorus, Iraq north of and including Baghdad, Northern and Eastern Syria, and Northern Cyprus.

Russian controlled Ottoman Empire (Iraq, Northern and Eastern Syria, all of Asian Turkey)

Cheers rang out in the streets as the news was announced that the Ottomans had been defeated and a peace treaty was soon to be here. Russian Imperial Flags waved in the cities as citizens celebrated their liberation.

Eastern Russia

With war looming between Japan and China the Tzar saw an opportunity for Russia.

To: Emperor of China
From: Tzar Alexander

My friend,

The tea trade is an important part of your nations economy. We know that tension are high with Japan and war could happen at any moment. I would like to offer you a way to continue the Tea Trade even if your ports are unable to ship Tea. I propose a large road spanning from European Russia all the way to China allowing for the east movement of goods, namely tea, from China through Russia and into Europe. I propose that road be half financed by Russia and half by China but I am open to negotiations.

Sincerely,

Tzar Alexander I

The regent was continuously worried with the rapid expansion of the Europeans, though the main threat to the empire, the Ottomans, were now destroyed by the coalition of major nations he now feared the aftermath. The Europeans were going to split the land amongst themselves and the Coptic Church and Pope still in Alexandria, he quickly signed an letter to be sent to the Hungarian Government.

To: the Holy and Great King Mihaly Toth

I Regent Yejju of the Ethiopian Empire am aware of the Ottoman's great fall from grace, struck down by the holy armies of god. I wish to attend the peace conference that is sure to come to represent the Coptic Church and His Holiness Pope Peter VII, we do hope that the Church may remain free so that those who were oppressed under the unholy Ottomans may taste the great fruits of freedom at last..

Signed with a steady hand.
Regent Gugsa of Yejju of Ethiopia.

The Regent sent the letter and turned to a map of Africa, the unclaimed land of Kenya. The tribes that controlled it were mostly spread out, though the Swahili were an exception. They controlled the vital trade port of Mombasa and their farmland was perfect for growing coffee and tea. The Regent who was also general of the armed forces ordered 20,000 flintlock armed soldiers, 10,000 traditionally armed soldiers, 3,000 cavalry, and 50 cannons (250 men to man them) were marched to the border between Ethiopia and Kenya. They expect an easy time when attacking due to the very traditional nature of the people of Kenya and their lack of actual firearms. The Regent finally sent a letter to their long time ally the Poles.

Image

To: King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania Hugo Cyrus

Our dear and closest ally, we request that you support us in being able to represent our faith of god in the peace deal that is sure to come. We do believe that since our faith has been long oppressed by the Ottomans in Alexandria, that we should have the right to speak at the conference itself. We also wish to require support in the form of officers to train our troops as well as funds into our expedition into Kenya to restore order and create a vassal state with the faith of god leading it.

Signed with a steady hand.
Regent Gugsa of Yejju of Ethiopia

Imperial Foreign Policy

Image

After months of preparations, the Imperial Fleet sailed out to near the Chinese coast. The 1 first rate and 2 second rates, along with 20 Unrated ships that had been completed joined their ranks as well. It would soon be in position. That same day, the declaration of war to China was delivered.......

The Japanese army and Japanese Marines had Drilled constantly in preparation, wether it was deploying through row boats, practicing European Tactics for warfare. It was intensive, under the military head of the Army and Marine Generals, their men have gone through rigorous training in preparation.

The Imperial Navy was the most displined in Asia, and most well trained. They would not disappoint when it came to firing broadsides upon worthless Chinese Junks.

IMPERIAL DECLERATION OF WAR

Image

To the Emperor of China, you have disregarded and disrespected the people of Japan for the last time, your embargo against us over the actions of a few miscreants wasn't just the actions of you trying to clamp down on the law. It was a blatant gamble to use your supposed power to force us to comply with your will. Well, in the coming months you will see how wrong you were.

The Navy moved in that day, emplacing a blockade on Chinese Ports, staying out of range of coastal fortifications, meanwhile using heavier artillery such as mortars to siege them and starve them out. These blockades were focused on areas where they knew their was major military Naval presence, or was important for Trade.

The Imperial Navy launched attacks on Chinese ships, keeping them cornered on the coasts hurting their mobility, while the IJN's was fine. Meanwhile any Chinese ships near the Philippines were attacked as well. Privateers were hired to get Chinese ships off the waters when not in port. They stole ships and cargo when they could.

They usually hunted in small groups, or when superior offensive capability was obviously on their side. Chinese ships were by no means safe anymore, the Imperial Merchant Marine and Navy clamping down hard. The Naval war of the Sino-Japanese war had begun.

The Japanese Home Front

Image

The war was greeted with applause in Japan, the people having grow anti-Japanese feelings during the course of the past three months clamoring for punishment against their transgressions. The people began to produce war goods, and shipbuilding also seriously picked up.

The Ships ordered for the Navy were 3 third Rates, and 5 fifth Rates along with 20 underrated ships. Meanwhile the armories and weaponry of the Japanese began to be produced for any further engagements. Enlistment in the army also picked up, the army raising to 750,000 or 2.5% of the population. This was deemed good enough for the moment, and the new soldiers were under heavy training regimen.

While said training went on, the Japanese continued its tea exports to Europe, meanwhile getting weapons from its allies as well and funds.

O Great King of Rus, the Jiaqing Emperor and his Dahui have expressed great interest in your offer, for although the barbarians of Russia have in the past greatly angered the divine Son of Heaven, his Radiance is willing to forgive them for past transgressions against the people of Great Qing, and looks upon your offer with great interest.

However, glorious China is not one for investing in foreign roads of foreign lands, and a new route through savage Sibir would be most expensive to construct for both Rus and Great Qing. Instead, his Majesty, Lord of Ten Thousands Years, proposes that the great states of Qing and Rus renovate and reconstruct the ancient roads and pathways that once connected far Daqing with these lands when they were ruled by ancient Han - what you western barbarians refer to as the "Silk Road".

Of course, trading overland will require certain editing of the Canton System. As such, the Jianqing Emperor has decided to grant upon the mercantile peoples of Rus a special and unprecedented sanction to trade within the city of Gongchen, and leave to travel along all roads leading from there to the city of Dihua, where Russian merchants are too permitted to ply their wares. Additionally, the Jianqing Emperor has seen fit to lower the tariffs on Tea, Porcelain and Silk being sold and traded in the territories in between Gongchen and Dihua so as to promote trade in the province of Xinjiang.

Canton, Great Qing

News of the recent declaration of war spread throughout China like wildfire within hours of the Qing government publishing the contents of the barbarians letter. The message was met with outrage on all levels of Chinese society, from the staunch Manchu imperialist to the young Han ethnonationalist, the entirety of Great Qing was in a state of uproar. The Dahui, for all it's flaws, suddenly found the eyes and hopes of the Han Chinese upon their shoulders, and whilst many of it's members balked in the face of fighting a war so soon after the White Lotus Rebellion, the large contingent of Green Standard Officers within the great council were eager to prove themselves against an army of savages, and already they have begun to mobilize their garrisons. The Eight Banners Army, meanwhile, is fueled more by desperation than the newfound pride and hope of the Green Standard - the Qing could not afford another defeat if they wished to claim the Mandate. A new, third army is beginning to enter the fray, however - Hong Xiuquan's God Worshipping Society had armed itself, and after a series of rousing speeches by their slef proclaimed prophet, declared their intent to help defend them mother country from the Japanese demons.

Whilst the Qing mobilize and rally in the interior, their coastal cities face a more dire situation. With the Japanese navy attempting to bombard near every major settlement on the Chinese coast, great numbers of city dwellers were already in a panic, attempting to escape the areas within Japanese cannon range as swiftly as possible. From the handful of naval skirmishes being reported of in the seas around China - small scuffles between what few Qing ships venture out of port to patrol their waters - it is clear that the Qing navy is outclassed in terms of armor and armament. However, Chinese admirals have already spotted a mistake by the Japanese - their attempt to fully embargo China has spread a comparatively small navy woefully thin, and although the Japanese ships are of superior build to the Imperial Qing forces, they are desperately outnumbered. As such, Admiral Wu Quanmei of the Canton Fleet has decided to strike the first major blow of the war. Sallying forth with a force of around 10 large Junks, 52 small Junks, and around 20 Junks of mid-tier size, along with roughly 39 fire ships laden with gun powder, pitch, and even fireworks, Wu has charged the Japanese naval forces stationed around the city, vowing to break their blockade at Zhujiang or die trying.

On the industrial home front, the Dahui, with permission from the Emperor, has instituted the "Emergency Economics Program" drafted shortly after the White Lotus Rebellion's conclusion. This act's first and most pressing consequence is the state suspending all interest payments and debt to private Chinese lenders. The second immediate effect is the suspension of 'extraneous' spending by the Qing government, with royal salaries, Imperial examinations, most government roles involving culture or religion, and the positions deemed "sinecures" by the National Evaluation of 1808 all being dissolved until further notice. Whilst this is already causing some grumbling among the privileged elite and suddenly unemployed bureaucrats, the Martial faction of the Dahui has offered them all bountiful and fulfilling employment as conscripts, a proposition which shut most of the malcontents up. Meanwhile, newly freed up funds are being diverted into employing all peoples in China "knowledgeable in the arts of gunsmithing and artillery-forging". Whilst most of these craftsmen will be working overtime to arm the new troops, the most skilled among them have been assigned to educating craftsmen in similar fields and interested citizens in the art of producing firearms. The act also sets aside a small fortune for importing weapons, and already the Qing have reached out to European corporations and governments, foremost among them the Germans, looking to purchase artillery, small arms and, if possible, war ships. In the meantime, what few Chinese merchants actively exported and plied the waves ceased their trade, fleeing to Chinese ports if possible or, if the Japanese were too numerous, selling their goods - and ships - in Indochinese or Kongsi ports.

(OOC: China is moving to "Limited Conscription", which grants them roughly 4,500,000 potential troops, of whom 400,000 are currently being equipped / trained, all in firearms)

The Republic of Germany

The capital building located in the heart of Gesno, and at extension the heart of the country, was an older building constructed in the waning day of the old empire of city states and the dawn of the new united kingdom. As such it shared elements from both eras, having begun construction around the late sixteenth century and only being completely some twenty or so years later under the direct supervision of the first Germany King. It was still a foreboding building and had a context of power and flow, one of the things all of it's six lead designers could agree upon. It had to be a night building, one that would inspire those who it resided over and stun those who inevitably come to visit the great kingdom as part of foreign envoys that swarmed the young kingdom almost as soon as it was erected upon the small hill lying just across from a small lake and surrounding forests, now referred to as Budwin park, after the late king.

Though a source of reputation and identity for the new kingdom, it was far from the capital. Instead it acted simply as meeting place for foreign envoys and a meeting place for the king and his advisers. While he may of had a palace not to far, only a few minutes by horse and carriage, it he much preferred to meet in the grand building. Perhaps it was some form of exercise for the king, having been a former soldier in the wars of reunification, or simple he felt it gave a stronger image if the King were to move to meet those he was required to speak to. Whatever the reason, the building served such a purpose for a great many years. French, Polish, Hungarian, and even Russian leaders had frequented the building at one time or another. Whether it was to discuss trades, peace deals, or a simple dinner between monarchs, a commonly practiced tradition given the closeness of blood lines, despite the German king possing none to his fellow European powers. It was only towards the middle of the seventeen hundreds did the building truly gain the purpose it fully was intended to be used for.

That purpose of course being the meeting and gathering place of the German parliament. Hot on the heels of the French revolution that left the country with a democratic, yet fractured government, the German Kingdom was easily influenced only being separated by a common border and a small buffer state in the form of the Swiss and unclaimed land near Flanders. Land that was left in some treaty written up years ago that no one really remembered signing yet everyone respected. Though unlike their neighbors to the west, the German revolution was softer, cleaner, and faster. The King of Germany, a one Sigmund Gaffen, had seen the horrors inflicted upon the French in their bloody and war filled revolution. Wishing to prevent the fall of his own beloved country he stepped down from power, helping to set up a democratic parliament, and even rejecting an attempt to be made Prime Minister. Instead he simple dedicated the old meeting building as the Republican Building, and stayed on as a simple figurehead, loved by the people for freeing them and preventing a bloody war. He now rests as the only remaining man of his bloodline, and the last monarch Germany will ever have.

The meeting hall, dubbed the Reichstag, in the native tongue stood to carry out it original and new purpose. So similar and different alike. Gone were the meetings of monarchs and fancy dinners. Instead they had been replaced by the many offices and meeting rooms used by the Council and Ministers, their staff, and of course the Public Chambers, used in the few times every year they met. Unlike the Council of Minister who met on a basis of every other day for a general meeting, and once a week for a overall brief, the Public Chamber only met when they were required or on four separate occasions throughout the year to discuss and debate the issues facing the people. Other issues, were left up to the council. A strong democratic government that avoided the pitfalls of Napoleon's imperial rule and backwards thinking of many of Europe's other monarchs littered all around Germany's borders. It just so happened that one of those meeting days for the Council of Minister was today, and already the man men had gathered.

Gathered in a small room, dimly lit by a few lamps placed around the room, as the storm brewing outside had cut off the ability of the sun's natural rays to illuminate the great room. The large windows that at one point might have been stained glass, now simple cut glass, were blocked and stained with droplets of rain throwing themselves against the clear panels. It was a deafening sound inside the room which sat quite, a contrast to the storm raging outside. Within the room itself sat a large round table in an oval shape. Men in all ages, though no younger than about forty or so years sat gathered around the table in silence and thought. At the head sat an older looking man, perhaps in his fifties, grey hair and curly mustache giving away his age, though his straight and lean figure would give any a hard time. Another soldier it would appear. His face was heavy and dark, much like the clouds hanging just outside the stone walls of the mighty building. He wore a dark coat not unlike the ones of the other men sitting around the table, a brownish color and a relatively simple design. The Germans weren't exactly known for their flashiness, despite the dark blue uniforms their soldiers wore. They were a simple people, but there was nothing wrong with such a thing, especially in the times they faced.

The source of the room's quiet and the man, who was revealed to be the Prime Minister by a small placard sitting in front of a stack of papers, as if anyone in the room needed to be reminded of such a fact, sat with a variety of problems. Already a number of issues had been brought before the council. While it would be wrong to say that the German Republic didn't suffer from its own problems on a daily basis, both internally and from a foreign perspective, the recent turn of events had been most troubling. Two main issues had presented themselves over the past few weeks and months at that. It was no the conquest of the Ottomans too which the Germans had stayed out of for their own, secretive, reasons, nor was it the sound of colonies rebelling across both halves of the new world. Rather it was one close to home, and another several ocean and a number of weeks away. That of course being the protests of the Dutch and the rising tensions in the Asian areas, respectively. In the North-West of the German Republic the small sub state once known as the Netherlands, having fallen to the German's shortly after their forming into a kingdom, had begun to speak its mind once again. They had begun calling for lesser taxes and the astonishing call of autonomy.

It was truly a plexing issue for the Council of Ministers. The small Dutch, accounting for only a few thousand true bred at this time, had been part of the Republic for over two hundred years. In that time they had mingled with their German neighbors, interbred and been fairly ingrained into the Republic. Looking around it would be easy to mistake it for simply another part of Germany. Most of its residents looked German, spoke the native language in a perfect tongue and for the most part would call themselves German rather than Dutch. Yet, there are always those few who must try to have their own way, and it seemed an outspoken politician had called for the Dutch, who were really German, to become Dutch again. It was simply something that could not stand. Not only did the Dutch Harbors act as a the base for the German navy, the loss of which would be a more crushing blow than the lost of Prussia all those years ago, it was prime for trade, something that made the small province one of the richest in the whole Republic. The German Oceanic Trading Corporation was to be thanked as well, but they mainly operated out of the small province only adding to their wealth.

And for a while there was silence. That was until the low voice of an older man, sitting a few chairs down from the left of the Prime Minister raised his raspy voice, "Perhaps" It was the voice of the Minister of Economics and Budget, "We can allow a small tax break to the Dutch Province. It will not hurt us much in the long run, and will likely be beneficial to us."

There were a few grumbled from the table and whisperes among the men, causing many of their mustaches to fly around like small birds of white hair as they discussed the many outcomes and other option. A main focus sat around the Foreign Minister, nearly directly across from the Economic s and Budget minister, who was in what appeared to be a small debate with the Minister of Domestic Policy and the Representative of the People. Likely they wished to talk about the possible outcomes such a move would have on their own plans, mainly the military build up that had been going on for sometime. In the past year to so a massive overhaul of the German Republican Navy had been undertaken, putting out a new first rate and a three third rates in the past few months. It was already in the work for the construction of two more second rates and five more third rates. While not necessarily in a naval arms race, they couldn't risk falling behind their neighbors, especially with tension heightened around a somewhat trigger happy English Island.

The debating was cut short, however, as the Prime Minister raised his hand calling for the others to quiet as he spoke. Looking around the flying white birds ceased as all eyes laid on the Prime Minister. His voice soon came rolling out in a deep tone one would have easily pictured with the man, a raspy but smooth and calm voice. "I agree we must act peacefully towards the Dutch, but must remind them that they are German now, and have been. Sir Voglen," The Minister of Domestic Policy "I request an notification to the Province be issued immediately declare a cut back in the province, but have it delivered by a guard of fifteen armed men, and make sure that they agree to the terms." There were obvious grumbles from a few of those who did not wish to see such an action go through. A single Mark not put towards outfitting the navy and given updated equipment to those who needed it, would surely ruin whatever delusional plans they still had in their heads. And thus it was on to the next issue of the day. That of course being the issue of the current scuttle that was reported to be about to unfold in the Asian area.

While at the lower end of priorities for the Republic when it came to expanding, those of course being focused in the American and African region, as they were notable closer and likely more profitable for the Republic in its current situation, it was still mindful that they pay attention to those in the Asian region. The area was new and going through its own share of power struggles, and while German foreign policy tended to shy away from helping other powers develop, as it was only a matter of time before they would turn their backs on their once friends, the current situation would be hard to ignore. A conflict between China and Japan threatened to upset the entire balance of power in the Region. It would produce a strong China that would no doubt see to expand into its neighbors, running off the nationalist fuels victory over the Japanese invaders, creating a likely mess of problems for German traders and the military at some point. That or they'd be faced with a stronger Japan, already exerting power and control over the valuable shipping lanes in the pacific. It was common news among those in Germany that the Japanese had begun killings in the Philippines after their take over, something normally overshadowed by the current so called holy war raging across the middle east. And while not part of the war, they had turned a blind eye to the area, they could no longer.

Without a formal declaration of war from either side, or at least according the the two something month old information the Council of Ministers were forced to work off of, it was well known sides had already been picked. Particularly the English had begun to place their money on the Japanese for obvious reasons. The Chinese having just exited a crushing civil war were in little condition to begin an open conflict of any kind with the Japanese. Hoping to take advantage of such an event, and likely thinking there would be a simple and easy Japanese victory, they would use it as a chance to expand their already bloating empire into the reaches of Asia. It was simply something the Germans could not allow to happen. The English needed to be damaged controlled sooner or later, and already they had missed their chance in the Ottoman war. Though it was more of a warning sign of events to come than anything. And although plans already sat in the works, they still needed to do something about the common conflict. They didn't wish to see a strong China or Japan, but keeping the English from growing was a top priority. Thus it was the Minister of Foreign Policy that was first to speak up.

His voice booming across the room, even with small conversations taking place, he was not hard to hear. Having been one of the older gentleman, and a commander of the military it was no surprise he carried such a voice. "I suggest reaching out to the German Oceanic Trading Corp, before we continue to make anymore decisions." There was an anonymous nod of yes among the many ministers sitting around the table. Within an hour a rain soaked young man, dressed in the pale green uniform of a representative from the company stepped into the room, standing before the council of men that he was easily twenty years minor to. Again it was the Foreign Minister who spoke above the others, "In this coming conflict the Republic of Germany must be careful. Without resources already pointed towards Canada, Ethiopia, and now Southern America with our announced support of the Iberian Rebellions, we simply cannot afford to be drawn into or to join this coming asian war." There were nods and slight conversations between the ministers as he spoke, even the young representative could be seen nodding with his words. "Yet we cannot simply standby and watch as a new power emerged in Asia and the English once again try to expand their empire. Thus I suggest we continue with the current trade negotiations with China" He turned towards the representative who now nodded with a smile across his face. Obviously a member of the Asian branch who would be receiving a hefty wage from these deals, "And send military liaison agents to Japan to prevent us from losing focus on one side of the war from the other. But German shall remain neutral in this conflict in the eyes of the world" There were nods and the shaking of hands with the young representative. Taking a seat once again, the Minister of Foreign Policy turned to the young aid who sat behind him, speaking into his ear. There would be many letter to be written and sent this day and in the days to follow.

Your Majesty Empress Maria I the Pious, and Emperor Ferdinand VII the Desired,

It is today that we humbly write to you in reply to your summons for help in your current great struggle. We have heard to pleading of your country to deal with these rebelling colonies, and feel great sorrow for the pain they are causing your people and nation. We wish to this tragic conflict ended in the simplest and most efficient way possible. Thus the Republic of Germany has decided to pledge support in your nation's time of need.
Several German ships, as well as a few Brigades of highly trained Republican soldiers and cavalry will soon arrive to these disobeying South American Colonies to help end this uprising.

We only ask that you remember the great help the Republic of Germany has offered you in this time of needed, and we hope to see this as a formation of lasting bond and friendship between our two great nations. Thus we simply request a few colonies of our to govern over when we finish this war. And of course for the opening of more trade and diplomatic relations between our nations.

Your friends and allies,
Prime Minister Alaro Kuhn | King Sigmund Graffen

The next order of business would be to reach out to the neighbors of Germany to strengthen her resolve and resources in the coming months and years. It was no secret that Europe was heading towards war and the days of dark. It had been known since the day the Swedish Marched into the Baltics and Prussian and refused to yield their old Empire.

Your Majesty, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania Hugo Cyrus,

Today we write to your great nation from your neighbor to the West, the Republic of Germany. For years our nations have lived side by side, sharing a large border in relative peace. Despite our differences in culture, religion, and even politics the Polish-German bond has always been a strong one.
Even before the days of Swedish invasion we shared common goals and common practices. Now more than ever to these common feeling come to light. For decades the Swedish crown has restricted our access to the Baltic and Atlantic waters. Something that has gone on for long enough. As you have surely seen it, we have too, the time for the reclaiming of our taken lands sit across the horizon. While not quite upon us, it will be one day.

And thus, both Germany and the Polish Commonwealth must be ready for that day. We must strengthen our mettle and resolve for the day it will be tested. It is something we can not, and will not fail at. Yet, even as we write this letter to you forces sit at play behind our back. Surely you have noticed the closeness of the British and Swedish. They are aware of what is coming and wish to hide behind the bodies of others to protect their fragile Empire. This can not be allowed. Alone, while strong, neither of us is a match for the Swedish and English together. And thus, we must join forces ourselves to prepare and defend our own interests. It is with those thoughts in mind that we reach out to you today in hope of establishing an alliance and stronger bonds between our nations. We hope that you accept for the sake of both our futures.

Your friendly neighbors,
Prime Minister Alaro Kuhn | King Sigmund Graffen

Your greatness, Napoleon Bonaparte,

Today your neighbor to the East writes to you with friendly thoughts in mind. For many years the French and German governments and people have shared many things in common. A strong government for the people, the lack of a monarch, strong militaries and economies. And most of all a hatred for the British. Whether for political or religious reasons we have both found ourselves at odds with this filthy island nation many times over.
And now they seek to expand their power. We have both seen it happen in the war against the Ottomans. They threaten to swallow up the whole of the middle east and Africa with it. This rise in power can simply not be allowed to continue.

Thus this is why we reach out to you on this day. For our nations to contain the rapid expansion and gathering of power from the English, it is necessary for us to strengthen our own bonds between our great nation. Increases in trade as well as renewed military maneuvers seem to be in order.
With that in mind we implore you to join us in our capital of Gesno to further discuss such matters as the containment of the English island. We hope to see stronger bonds and an alliance foster between our nations.

Your eastern friends,
Prime Minister Alaro Kuhn | King Sigmund Graffen

Your majesty, Mihaly Toth,

Today we write to you from your Northern Neighbors, the Germans. Our two nations, while having their fair share of differences, also possess many similarities as well. We posses similar languages and people. Similar militaries and most importantly similar views towards the world. In particular we are sure you have noticed the recent changes in the climate of Europe, and we simply do not mean the weather. In the confusion of this Ottoman war the English have taken large swaths of land all across the African and Middle Eastern coast. These gains are quite large in contrast to many of the others who have partaken in this mighty effort against the Ottomans. They have given the English a large source of power, something that is simply a danger to both of our interests in the region. They are taking land that could belong to you, and it won't be long before they threaten your borders eventually.

Thus it is with such ideas in mind we humble reach out to your great nation. We wish to see both our nation and yours prosper in the coming years and decades. Thus we propose and increase in trade and diplomatic relations between our nations. This will only continue to add to the strength of us both. We look forward to strong relations with our southern neighbors.

Your northern neighbors,
Prime Minister Alaro Kuhn | King Sigmund Graffen

Your excellency, Chancellor Xue Tiande,

Today I write to you as a representative of the German Oceanic Trading Corporation. As you are surely aware we have been the ones tasked with providing goods from Germany to your wonderful nation. We have also been asked to act as a mediator between your great nation and that of Germany in the coming years. As you are surely aware Germany has chosen to remain neutral in this coming war between you and nation of Japan to the East. But we can not simply allow a chance for business to slip through the cracks and will be acting as the primary way of transporting goods through not only Germany but other European countries as well, for the time being.

It is on that note that we inform you of the Republic of Germany's acceptance of your previously proposed trading arrangement. We here at the GOTC and the Republic look forward to continuing good business and friendly relations with you. Below you will find the manuscript for the current shipping cargo.

  • One Hundred - Twelve Pound Field Cannon Pieces
  • Three Thousand - Model 1806 Muskets
  • Fifty - Mortars
  • Various Ammunition
  • Four - Military Weapons Instructors

The Indian Opium Trade
Chapter:1
Part:2
"An daring move"

Image

There was unrest in India.
The Hindustanis demanded the ban of christian missionaries from large portions of the Cochin empire. Of course, Vijya being a christian himself, couldn't allow this to happen, so he had to think of a plan that would calm down the Hindu zealots.
An idea came to his mind.He immediately called one of his servants, and told him the orders he had to pass on.A big amount of the convertion efforts were to be concentrated on the higher castes of the hindu society. They needed the biggest amount of High class citizens on their side.
That was to happen until the Hindustani zealots became more hostile, when Vijya would threaten to abolish the Caste system (All of it's legality, power and privilege on Indian society according to law). It was a daring move, but if the maharajah was correct, it would work. The lower-caste masses would support him, and the now smaller number of higher-caste Hindus would have to comply.Together with the quick-growing christian population and repression from the Maharajah, the revolt would cease.
Of course, there would be people who would not cease, people that would revolt against the government.
And Vijya was waiting for that. It was the perfect opportunity to abolish the caste system, that was disliked deeply by the ruler.
It was an daring move, but it could just work.

Alaska

Russian troops in Alaska had received orders from the emperor himself to march and claim lands farther south for Russia. Thus their commander Ivan Vignorav led his men to the Southeast in a campaign to control more of North America. (They are claiming present day BC.)

Tetouan, Morocco

After the army reinforcements arrived the invasion force was about 183,000 strong. They now begin marching the the capitol capturing cities and forts along the way.

Rome, Italy

President Williams sat at his table pondering. "Squire! Get some paper, I need to send a letter." "For who my lord?" he asked. Williams took a drink of wine, "The Empress in Madrid. I believe it is time we take a side in global politics. We stand with Spain against the Brazilian rebels."

The Canton Fleet

It was quite amusing how the Chinese sallied out to face the Japanese, thought the Japanese respected that. Face their deaths head on, none of that coward bullshit. 1 first rate, 2 second rates, 3 third rates, 5 4th rates, 6 5th rates, 10 6th rates, and 30 Unrated ships made the fleet that had blockaded the entrance into Canton. Spread out, the but close enough to help each other and avoid the fire ships.

First Japanese mortars opened up on the Chinese Junks and fire rafts, and did so continuously to damage the incoming Chinese as much as possible before they could as they advanced towards them. This involved hurting the Fire ships too, which also could just be easily avoided. However some fire was directed at them due to them being some of the first ships there.

They also fired rockets, light, medium, and heavy sorts into Chinese ships hoping they'd hit something good. This also continued for while they could until they reached engagement Range. While not always effective, they proved to be of good phycological effect against enemy troops.

When the Chinese Ships Come into Range of Japanese guns, Rated and Unrated ships alike unleashed broadsides, mortars, and rockets all into the incoming Chinese Forces. The hail of fire was unbelievable as the Cannon balls smashed into Chinese Junks and fire ships. Meanwhile the ships turned around and unleashed another volley into the Chinese forces. The unprecedented rates of fire, and levels of fire was astonishing.

All in the meanwhile they were reloading and preparing to launch another volley and launch more Rockets and Cannon fire. This was all amplified considering the Chinese had to go through the two islands forming a choke point of sorts. The fact that if they tried going around that they'd be stopped at even tighter choke points made things all the worse for the Chinese............

"Yeah, you're right. You got lucky this time. If there were Dutch people there, you would be facing so many rebels!"

Slobozia, Occupied Romania
The conquest of Romania had been a small victory for General Jeremiah Lewinsky, but it was a huge morale boost for the folks at home and the troops with him. Already a small missionary tent has been set up, and the process of having locals loyal to the Commonwealth propped up as Provincial Governors is already underway. It seems that there could be a little conflict of interests, with the Catholics and Orthodox, but Lewinsky decided it was best to allow a little autonomy. After all, they were all humans in the end. Exceptions towards the Ottoman Mohammedan people, of course. Damn bastards.......
It was at noon when the letter from the Hungarian lad Ignac Nagy arrived at Lewinsky's desk. It was neatly enclosed in an envelope with the Hungarian seal stamped on it.
After reading the contents, the general wrote up a response.

To: The Honorable General of Hungary Ignac Nagy
I would like to formally congratulate you on your success in the Balkans! The Ottoman Empire has existed for hundreds of years and history has shown us that they were truly the Devil's Empire! We must discuss the division of these former lands in Constantinople. Such a humongous gain or loss of land shall not just be merely signed off according to a letter! I do hope that this belief is held among our allies.
Peace be with you,
Occupational Governor of Romania and 2nd General of The Polish Lithuanian Armed Forces Jeremiah Lewinsky

Warsaw
King Hugo Cyrus, first of his name, arose from his slumber after a night of celebration. He had been restless following the invasion of Romania. Of course, he felt that Romania was not enough. The war machine wants more blood! He chuckled at the thought. If the Polish people were truly as religious as they claim to be (after all, those missionaries do serve a secondary purpose), then their religion would be Jingoism, and their god would be a gun. His messages came as soon as his feet touched his cold floors. After shooing the messenger away and dressing up groggily, he read the letters.
Fumbling through his desk, his numb hands manage to grab hold of a pen and he composed a few messages.

Indeed the Swedish have served as an aggressive (almost savage) force in the north, and the British care little for the hands they shake and the deals which spew out of their mouths. Yet it does seem that a sort of romance brews between these two imperialist. God know what the Swedish desire, for they have remained silent for a long time. It is a wise decision to form an alliance with the German Republic. I pray that the day this friendship is put to the test never comes, but realistically, we know that they plot something else. An alliance of mutual defense against our potential rivals is necessary.
Peace be with you,
King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania Hugo Cyrus

To: The Great Negus of Ethiopia, Regent Gugsa of Yejju
Good friend, I will make sure that the British are aware of your plight! Your Ethiopian delegate here in Warsaw shall accompany General Jeremy Lewinsky of the Polish Invading Force in Constantinople, where we will allow your delegate to voice the needs of Ethiopia. Also, Poland shall be glad to assist the Ethiopians in bringing law, order, and civilzation to their barbaric neighbor!
Peace be with you,
King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania Hugo Cyrus
