Antonio Garcia's conversation with the leader of cuba quickly deteriorated as the Tequila set in. Antonio wasn't more than buzzed but the Cuban leader was wasted. Antonio was forced to leave not getting anywhere with the union between Cuba and Mexico.

Once returning to Guadalajara Antonio decided to try else where for a union or alliance reaching out to California, Texas, the Brazilian governor and The United Republics of the Andes and Argentina. Having the diplomats deployed and heading to there respective nations, Antonio received word of the immigration efforts in Europe. It was wildly successful pulling in thousands of immigrants, giving the nessicary work force for the factories being continually built. This gave one of the advisors an idea "why don't we expand our influence through territory" he asked. Antonio looked puzzled "what do you mean we have nations touching all our borders". The advisor turned to a bookshelf and pulled out a map "you are right, but we don't have to expand from the main nation we can instead put a colony just above California and expand from there". Antonio smiled "that is something I haven't thought of, what about the natives" he asked. "Leave them to me" spoke a booming voice from just outside the office. Hawkington Manson strutted in "I couldn't help but hear about this amazing idea of conquest, if you want to see this job done right I'm your guy" he said as he put his boot on Antonio's desk. "I was just about to go looking for you Manson" said Antonio "just tell me what you need".

A month later Hawkington manson stepped foot on the shores of Oregon leading a small army of men and several groups of brave colonials ready to find a new home.

On the topic of allying with a European power Antonio was unsure. France was his preferred choice but they haven't done much in the past few months concerning Antonio. He decided to wait a bit longer before reaching out to any European powers for an alliance.

The last few months in Cancun have been going smoothly for Manuel, the first few ships to be built were on schedule and the large amount of immigrants coming in gave him plenty of hands to hire. He was confident in his progress so far so he sent a request to Antonio to be given the funds to build more dry-docks thus expanding production of ships. He was sure his brother would agree and his navy would become one of the worlds strongest.

Russian-Ottoman War

Baghdad

With smoke in the air and the sun finally rising the Russian Imperial Flag waved over the city center. The Persian Russian soldiers had been instructed to be nice to the Iraqis and hand out food and aid to the citizens. With Baghdad secured the Iraq area of the Ottoman Empire was now just waiting to be taken up by the mighty Russian Bear.

Abil

The city was won and the flag stood waving in the sunlight and wind. The battle was easy for the Russians due to the surprise attack over the Ottomans. Now this city belonged to Russia.

Kirkuk and Al Basrah

Both cities fell around the same and people poured out into the square to celebrate their liberation from Turkish suppressors. Above them all the Russian Imperial flag flew high.

To: Union of Hungary-Serbia and Poland-Lithuania
From: Tsar Alexander of the Russian Empire

My friends,

Russian and the Hungarian-Serbian and Polish-Lithuanian people have shared a warm history and good relations. With this in mind we would like to propose an alliance between our three nations. Together we are stronger than we are apart.

Sincerly,

Tsar Alexander

OOC: Little bit late... Missed a day

IC:

Earlier this day, the Arabians captured Aleppo and Damascus and began attacking Ottoman forces in Syria. Jordan has been already captured. Arabians scored a victory over the Ottoman Empire in the Battle of Aleppo by encircling the Ottoman army with cavalry, destroying it and capturing 15,000 prisoners. Now the Arabians are turning their war machine of 50,000 towards attacking Northern Syria and capturing Antioch.

MECCAN PALACE

"Our Caliph! The Russians have fully captured Iraq and now should be turning towards Syria. We must capture Syria before they do!" Said a Arabian messenger from the Army in Syria in the Caliph's court.
"Alright. Send a message to the Russians to discuss how should we split the Middle East. Send our finest diplomats to Moscow. Now!" The Caliph screamed.

ARABIAN DIPLOMATIC SERVICE

It will be hopefully in our and your interests to discuss how the Middle East shall be split. It is of utmost importance that we respect our territorial claims and hopefully eradicate the Ottoman Empire with both of our strong empires and restore peace in the region. So, based on those claims and arguments, we ask your diplomacy and your diplomats on how should the Middle East of territories of Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Kuwait be split.

Sincerely, Senior Diplomat Mahdi Jamil of Arabia

In the Service of God, the Nation, and the British People

Alexandria, Egypt, British Empire

Brtish soldiers of the 2nd Grenadiers of Lancaster walked through the dusty, she'll pocketed streets of Alexandria, fifes whistling and drums beating. The men walked proudly and in perfect order, the Union Jack flying in the front of the column. Three days ago, the Ottoman Governor had surrendered as British troops neared his palace. The losses were light on the British side, 180 killed, 432 wounded. The British line regiments had only engaged in two fights with the Ottoman force, one occurred a day after the siege began, six miles from the outskirts of western Alexandria. There, two Ottoman Janissaries Regiments and one Ottoman Huscarl Unit had advanced towards the 3rd Hampshires and 6th Royal Scots, both Regular line regiments. The units had engaged with each other in a 30 minute long showdown. The battle was won when two units of Green Dragoons arrived and crushed the Ottoman Huscarls. The Dragoons then flanked around the enemy and struck them from behind, immediately breaking the Ottoman line,

Three days later, a small force of Ottoman militia had attacked one regiment of Life Guards of Foot. The militia stood no chance. The a Elite Regiment of Life Guards struck down the Ottomans within five minutes, sending the remains reeling back into Alexandria. Two days after that, the Union Jack was first raised over the city. Almost Immediately, the British troops loaded back up on their ships and begun to sail towards the Sinai peninsula, leaving six regiments of troops behind to protect the captured city. The troops that left were now engaged only 60 miles north of Cairo. Once Cairo fell, Egypt would be in British hands fully.

Colonial Venture Response, London, England, British Empire

As word of the new colonial venture aroused in Parliment, murmurs of excitement began to circle around. Almost immediately, Parliment voted in favor of supporting the venture, almost unopposed. The British Governement gave three British brigs from the 1750s to the venture and 120 soldiers of the 1st Edinburgh Line. These ships were being refitted in Plymouth with studded oak and a few iron sheets to protect the hull. The expedition would leave in three months.

In the same session, Parliment also approved of the venture set forth by the Prime Minister, that volunteer forces would now be taken from both Australia and British Canada.

An expeditionary force of 600 men were crossing Lake Superior to the loosely settled territory east of Quebec, to which thousands of American emigrants had settled for land to tend to. President Marshall's executive order for a Federal infantry battalion to be dispatched for the occupation of Ontario, a free territory out of jurisdiction of Quebec but within its claims, had caused uproar in congress. A surprisingly large faction within the Democratic Republican party had endorsed the decision however, referring to their great leader Thomas Jefferson's vision of an America spanning coast to coast. Captain Zachary Taylor was to lead the II. Company of 80 men to Fort Albany in the North, establishing a supply line in Hudson bay for the military operations to continue. The sparsely populated region was meaningless in the short term, but could prove vital in the growing movement for expansionism. Another issue was Quebec itself. While cultural and lingual differences existed, the expansionist movement labeled it 'American in destiny', arguing for its rapid integration into the Union whether by force or diplomacy. The pacifist factions on both sides of the isle in congress considered this approach illegal and had labeled not only the Ontario intervention but Vice President Carlington's suggestion of moving a Federal force of 12,000 men under General William Henry Harrison to the Northern border. The fear of British taking offense was clearly around, but it had been discussed that in the case of a military conflict the State of Quebec could be split in East and West.

Far Southwest, farmers and merchants alike were being brought out of business because of expensive tolls and tariffs along the Mississippi river. This had been a chief cause in migrations north, initiating renewed beaver hunts, as well as additions to the timber industry because of a growing demand for certain woods in shipbuilding. The concern could prove the excuse for the start of a conflict, but the risk of Mexico getting involved as well as the domestic opposition to direct expansion in congress had held President Marshall's administration back. The new shipping rights in the Mexican gulf would allow US ships to travel freely there, so an exercise in April 1811 had been planned with a great squadron of three 4th rates, five 5th rates and eigth sloops demonstrating growing naval power of the United States. The diplomat John Langdon had been sent to New Orleans for the demands of free access to the Mississippi river and right to passage for all US citizens, however no ultimatum clauses existed and the question was if Louisiana would really give up such a great source of income.

To:The Empress of Japan
The Japanese people are truly an honorable race. It seems that despite being a continent away, we both share many similarities. Your people's prowess in warfare and the ability to adapt in any situation is truly remarkable. I would like to establish relations with your nation by constructing an embassy in Kyoto, and I would like to make the Polish missionaries and traders in your nation feel more safe in the far off lands by constructing a church in Kyoto. An ally in Asia is rare to behold, but I believe we both can work together to meet our own goals.

The Indian Opium Trade
Chapter:1
Part:1

Image
Karnataka
Mysore Palace

It was a sunny day on Karnataka.
The Maharajah of Cochin,Vijya Devadhikar, was walking in circles. He had to find a way to grow the economy of Cochin.. But how? many of the european powers had refused to trade with them. The popularity of spices were decreasing..
Then it hit him.
Opium.
Opium would be great to grow india's economy. If they dominated the market, all they would need would be to introduce opium to a country, and soon people would get addicted to it, buying more and more.It was A perfect plan. But there was one thing that was stopping it-Afghanistan was one of the biggest players in the opium trade game. But luckily, the afghan army was... Weak, to say at least. Now, all he had to do was to talk with this Military Officers. If afghanistan fell, the Cochin would be able to control opium trade. Well, that was an good idea.
But as Vijya was writting in a paper a letter to his Military commanders, one of the servants of the Palace entered the room. He told him there was a message from the British empire.
"Hm,i wonder what is the message about.."
Once the message was on his hands, the indian king read it.
"An offer to become a protectorate..Hmm."
That deal could be useful to him. Protection from other major powers, british investors, that's without counting the missionaires, which would help the christianization of india (Helpful to him, since he was a christian himself). He started to write a letter in response.
Image

From the Indian Imperial Court

Foresmost, I must say Namaste in name of India.
I am proud to say that i agree with the deal.
I look forward to working with Great Britain.

United Republics of the Andes and Argentina

Punta de Vacas, Andes Mountains, Republic of Argentina

After months of work the road would stop in the middle of the mountain pass as the snow began to fall, the ice covered parts of the path and cargo shipments couldn't make it to the workers anymore. The plants slowly shriveled up and the leaves fell from the trees. By mid-June all progress was halted.
"You've made great progress Senior Martinez. By this spring we will have the road finished. And the first of many paths connecting to two sides of our great nation will be complete. They are speaking of sending you south to build some roads in Patagonia. Do you have any recommendations for an engineer to oversee the buildings of these roads in Bolivia, up north?"
"I know a few that went to university with me. Perhaps I can contact them, last I heard Guillermo was working on a port for the city of Valparaiso."
"Well, you keep up this progress Senior, once it's finished I'll put you in charge of staffing the waystations, you seem to have some good connections."
"Yes, Chairman. Can't wait to get a break, these past months have been stressful. My wife wants to go Peru, see some friends working there."
"Just make sure to be back by the end. We can't have you joining the Spanish now, your to good a worker."
"Haha. Yes. Well, I won't keep you waiting, perhaps I'll run into you in Santiago."
"Ohh, doubtful the governments bickering on how to handle the whole Brazil seceding from Spain."
"Well, good luck."
"Same to you Senior."

San Andre, Andean-Argentine Pacific
It's night, the men stock the ships with supplies. Soldiers sleep comfortable but nervous, tonight will be their last night in a comforatabke bed for a while. The 6th and 7th Rangers regiments had been ordered to a new territory eyed by the government in Santiago, Tahiti.
"Word is, the British, Spanish, and French are all looking for some pacific islands for commuting ports. Santiago thinks it's vital we keep our trade routes for ourselves."
"Do you agree, commander?"
"To an extant. I don't see the need to lose more men for a couple of Islands filled with bird poop and coconuts but if that's what the people want then I guess that's what I want."
"Well, best enjoy your last day in civilization. Me and some of the officers are going to pub you want to join?"
"Naaa, I'll let you guys enjoy your selves. Goodnight."

--A week later on the islands of Tahiti--

Gunshots rank through the forest, screams from the natives rolled out of their mouths like a church choir. "Commander, the Natives are pushing on our right flank."
"We need to keep the beach head open, get the rest of the troops of the ships. Have the AAV San Gabriel and the AAV Valparaiso shoot the coast, and take the AAV Spite make a map of the island."
"Yes, Sir!" The man saluted and stood erect before running off to distribute the captains orders among the men. By the end of the day 2 Andeans were injured, and 300 Tahitians lay dead. They found markings on the dead tahitians. A prisoner called them Tatooi. The men called them Tatoos. That week they pushed farther into the island before surrounding a large enemy force of 200 at a village and massacred them. The Tahitian attacks started to slow as the weeks became months.

Puerto Leon, Andean Argentine New Zealand

After negotiations with a defeated Maori tribe, the Andeans were told the locations of other important forts and villages of rival tribes. The tribe gave them recommendations for good bays to build their cities in. The cartographers agreed. By the end of the month the settlements of Los Santos (Auckland) and Nuevo Montevideo (Wellington) had been built with a small port and Fort. As settlers from, mainly from Patagonia, flowed in boosting the population of the island from 5,500 to around 7,000 in two months. Dirts paths were built along the coast as reinforments kept coming in from the Pacific Territories, the Maori were weakened by civil war and wars between eachother, each destroyed tribe brought them closer to control of the islands.

President Williams had just finished his breakfast when General Breyfogle entered the great hall. "Sir me and my staff have been discussing the current great war that is under way against the Islamic treat across the Mediterranean. It has come to our attention that they may be a great threat to us." Williams takes a drink of wine and examines the glass, "Our great nation is still rebuilding from the civil war. Therefore our military is not at it's full strength and our people still are struggling to rebuild. However, victory could prove to be a major boost in morale for the country and I do like the thought of controlling territory in North Africa. We should have our navy on high alert in the whole Mediterranean. They took little part in the war so they are eager for battle. Have the island of Malta turned into a supply port for the navy and have a coastal defense wall built around Sicily. Prepare an invasion of Morocco. Keep me updated General, Dismissed." The general saluted then left to go have a meeting with his staff.

Imperial Authority- It shall not be Questioned

Image

Angered at the news of the rebellions, 40,000 troops were deployed and Ports once more fully occupied. All tribes and peoples in the areas where the settlers were killed were slaughtered. Imperial law came down like a hammer, the slightest of offenses warranted death. Japan was being nice, entire families were punished for the actions of one family member. Imperial Ships were outside of cities, ready to completely destroy them if necessary.

All Children were taken by the Japanese, and were informed they would only be returned if the family pledged loyalty to the Empress, and the Empire, learned Japanese, and payed taxes. If they tried revolting, said child would be killed. In reality they were sent to Japan for reeducation. Meanwhile complexes were built as boarding schools for these children where they would be educated to serve the Empire. (Think how the Ottomans abducted Boys, and reeducate them.)

All people in active rebellion are obviously killed, as it isn't treason, no trials, just death. Well, unless they surrender themselves, the the Japanese can usually muster up some mercy. All the farming areas are controlled as well by the Japanese, and under orders to destroy the food sources if need be. Japanese soldiers are also ready to become more aggressive to get the point across as well.

The Japanese also begin the rebuilding of their settlements, and the growing of Opium. It is illegal to smoke it by any one, and if a Filipino is caught smoking product, they are sentenced to die. No, the Citizens of Japan wouldn't be using it. They had something else in mind........

Canton, Great Qing

Looking at Canton, one could barely tell China had just pulled itself out of a brutal, generation long civil war. The only city to allow Barbarian merchants to ply their wears and purchase superior Qing goods, Canton was largely spared from the White Lotus rebellion, it's people far too invested in trade to put their incomes at risk by taking part in a revolution. Instead, Canton only grew richer as the war went on, exacting it's considerable taxes and tariffs upon European weapons being imported by both sides, and diverting Porcelain, Silk and Tea taxes from the Imperial coffers into their own, knowing the Qing far too preoccupied with Xue Tiande and his peasants to try and root out corruption in their far southern provinces.

Whilst many would think the end of the war would result in a crack down on the corrupt government officials of Canton and a major loss of income as importation of European goods (and Indian opium) slowed down, the trade city has only gone to further thrive and grow thanks to new legislation pushed by the Guomin Dahui's mercantile plurality both lessening Imperial taxes and vastly increasing the tariffs on the West and artificially inflating the prices of major Chinese exports. Whilst this has made an enriched Canton the Dahui's only major base of support, it has, to say the least, greatly angered the Western merchants who, after traveling for months across countless miles of stormy seas, suddenly find themselves faced with skyrocketing prices. Nor will it likely sit well with the Westerners themselves, to whom the increased cost of these already expensive goods will no doubt prove quite an annoyance.

The most dangerous of the slighted factions, however, is likely the Imperial bureaucracy, and by extent the army. Faced with slumping or stagnating wages as a result of the massive tax cuts being instituted in Canton by self-serving merchants and self serving Dahui merchants essentially stealing from their pockets, many in the government and army are already grumbling about the widely hated Guomin Dahui and the cowed Jiaqing Emperor unwilling to stand up to them.

The Ethiopian Empire, a once proud people that ruled the horn of Africa away from the Muslims, now barely able to hold itself together from colonialism and internal conflict. The Princes Era, an era that forced the Emperor into a figure head role with his rule only spreading to the area around Gondar. But with Polish assistance they were able to get the funds to go on its conquest to bring authority back to the monarch, now that peace and stability you think things would be alright.

Sadly not, colonialism only brought its own problems to the people of Ethiopia. Paranoia, fear, and hatred at the expansion of foreigners into the lands of Africa. More specifically British lands in former Abyssinian Empire territory, in the peoples' eyes they saw their rightful lands taken when they were weak and that it should be returned to them, others saw their country becoming just another part of the British expanding colonial empire. The Emperor too busy dealing with the need for modernization ordered his regent to cover for him with the British matters, the regent began writing up a letter to send to the British in hopes that they will be able to see the light.

To: The Government of the British Empire
We wish that us the people of Ethiopia and the people of Britain not have any quarrels between the two of us, though we are displeased that lands that were formerly a part of us is now under your control. We do hope that one day we may be able to have this returned but we will speak of that in due time, for now we wish to sign a nonaggression pact to ensure the safety of our people in our lands and in your colonies.

Signed with a steady hand.

"¡Larga vida al Imperio Ibérico!"

Madrid, the Imperial Parliament building
"Our Empire is at stake, by God! Our Empire will collapse once Brazil secedes! We have to expand our Empire to..... to..... uh........ Africa! Africa is the only place left unclaimed by any power on the map! We have to expand our Empire into Africa." says a Radicalist politician. "If we lose this War with Brazilian rebels, we'd be the laughing stock of the Globe!" says another. "Silence! I have heard enough of this madness! We haven't heard from the Governor yet. But if he keeps on ranting about Independence every single damn day, I will remove him from his post! We have to stand United in order for the Empire to survive." cries out Ferdinand. Just then, the Empress walks in the room with a letter from the Governor of Brazil. She put it on the table, got her glasses on, grabbed the letter, and started to read. "From his Excellency, the Governor of Brazil. Here on this fair and prosperous land on the other side of the Atlantic, we feel no common unity with the Empire and with the Monarchy. We're simply different, and we firmly believe that if Brazil gets more anatomy or Independence, Brazil with have a much brighter future. We, the people of Brazil have no right anymore to be apart of the Iberian Empire. There is nothing unifying us with the rest of the Empire, except a common language. There for, if you, the Imperial Government, does not give Brazil more anatomy, I, the Governor of Brazil, will declare Independence from the Iberian Empire. Signed, the Governor of Brazil.". "Death to the rebels! Death to the rebels! Death to the rebels!" some politicians shouted. "Your Imperial Highness, Maria. Please send a letter to the Brazilian Governor, stating that he will be removed from his post immediately." Ferdinand said. "Yes your Imperial Majesty.". Maria walked out of the room, the room became full of insane politicians, yelling at anyone they see.

A month later...

Rio de Janeiro, the Governor's Mansion
The Brazilian Governor had just sat down with his family to eat supper when a messenger ran in the room. "What is it you have now?" grumbled the Governor. "I've..... I've.... I've got a letter from the Empress sir.". He gave the Governor the letter, and just as he let go of the letter, he fainted. The Governor looked down, and spat at the messenger. The Governor started to read the letter. "From her Imperial Majesty, Empress Maria I. I'm regret to inform you that you have just been released of your position as the Governor of Brazil. I will be assigning the current Governor of New Granada your old position. The Monarchy excepts you to be moved out of the Mansion by the end of this week. If not, you and your entire family will be tortured. Signed, Empress Maria I.". The Governor crumbled up the letter and threw it at the ground. "Father dear, what's the reason of you anger?" the Governor's son asked. "The Empress just released my position of Governor. Those damn Monarchs!". He stood up, and threw all the plates to the wall. "She expects us to be moved out of this place by the end of the week, or we'll be tortured for God's sake!". "What are we gonna do?" cried out the Governor's wife. "Don't you worry, my dear. I've got a plan for a brighter future.".

The next day...

Rio de Janerio, the Colonial Parliament building
Everyone was coming the room, and sitting in thier chair. The Governor came in, and everyone stood up, saluting him. Once the Governor sat down in his chair, everyone stopped saluting and sat down in thier own chairs. The Governor stood up, and spoke. "Just last night, I got a letter from the Empress, saying that I have been removed from my position as Governor. It appears that that the Monarchs are too damn stubborn. So, I decided to give Brazilian Independence a vote, by each and every one of us. If one votes no, than they shall be executed. So, let the voting begin! Everyone who agrees with Independence, say 'I'.". Nearly everyone said 'I'. After the vote, the Governor walked up to the Imperial Flag, and stuck it in the fire. "Let it be known to all, that Brazil will win this War of Independence!" the Governor said in a booming voice. Everyone started to go berserk in the building.

ARABIAN CALIPHATE

In the past months we have seen Arabian victories over the Ottoman Turks in the Middle East, ultimately destroying their army at the Battle of Aleppo by encircling and annihilating them. Now Arabia begins turning its entire war machine towards Northern Syria, first, by capturing Damascus. Meanwhile in Aleppo, the Syrians have revolted and requested the assistance of the Caliph, by which the Caliph responded with a full offensive north.
On the tenth of October, 1810, Arabian general Faraj Ebrahim begins attacking the small village of Darayya in the prelude towards Damascus. He quickly took it and with the help of 10,000 rebelled Syrians (combined 65,000) began the siege of Damascus.
The Siege of Damascus was an Arabian pyrrhic victory. Having very few siege engines, they had to attack in the traditional medieval way, which caused a lot of casualties (over 20,000 wounded, 8,700 killed). On the next day, a battering ram broke the city gates and the garrison surrendered immediately, making Damascus once again in Arabian hands.
However, the Arabian war machine was slowing down. The Siege of Damascus caused a lot of Arabian casualties and the offensive was unable to be continued since those losses couldn't be replaced very quickly and logistics were failing. That was an evidence of poor Arabian military organization. Regardless, the offensive stopped at the outskirts of Al Nabk.
"Caliph!" Said the diplomatic advisor at his court. "We have received reports that our people have revolted in Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt! This is a triumphant day for the Caliphate!"
"Good news. We will support them, send our finest equipment to help the rebels defeat the Ottoman pretenders and impersonators. We will surely win this war!"

To: The Uprising Leaders
From: Caliph of Arabia, Muhammad IV
Sent: 14 October, 1810

Our brothers! We will definitely support you in the war against the Ottoman Empire and the eventual war against the Western imperialists. We will send our finest comrades in arms to fight wars for the glory of Islam! Our military will help you in every way imaginable, will send you food,
water and plenty of ammunition!

You might be afraid to fight your authorities, but don't! These Ottoman Muslims are not real Muslims! They don't follow the real teachings of Muhammad and they are unbelievers and infidels! Fight with all your courage and with your help, Arabia will be united again!

God is great!

Sincerely, Caliph of Arabia, Muhammad IV

Turkey

The Russian forces had smashed through Turkey and the important city of Ankara. Now they closed in on the Bosphorus Straight. They would take Eastern Constantinople and hold it while they waited for their Hungarian allies to seize the West.

Iraq and Syria

Russian forces had secured all of Iraq and parts of Eastern and Northern Syria assisting in the capture of Allepo with their Arabism comrades. Moral was high and the Russians seen mostly as liberators as they handed out food to the citizens.

The Azerbaijan Problem

Problems were brewing in Azerbaijan. The natives felt threatened by Russian settlers taking away business. In response Tzar Alexander ordered a large road to be built going through these native towns in order to bring in more business and appease his people’s concerns.

The Empress was in one of the chambers of the Imperial Palace discussing the the ships that had been orders 9 months ago for the Imperial Navy. Looking into The Advisor's eyes, which were the same dark black that accompanied many Japanese people, she nodded saying "Ah, so our current order has been carried out I see? That is good, the Imperial Navy is making progress. Have the new ships deployed to the Pacific Fleet." She said, to which he nodded.

Another 3 3rd Rates, and 4 6th Rates, and along with 15 Unrated added to the Imperial Navy. A new Order would have to come soon. Meanwhile she looked over a letter sent from the Polish. Looking at it, she though it would be reasonable for Polish Emissaries to have a church of their own.

The Empire of Japan

From: Empress Sakura of the Empire of Japan
To: King of Poland and Duke of Lithuania Hugo Cyrus

Hello your majesty, I am honored that you have taken notice of your humble servant and her people, the people of Japan. If you would like to construct a Polish Church for your emissaries, we'd be glad to allow such an accommodation for your people here. We do recognize it is a long way home from your homeland, and we will happy to help the emissarys in our nation. Good day Noble king and Duke.

Meanwhile as she looked up from writing another letter, an new advisor had appeared and stood patiently waiting for her attention. "Yes, what do you require of me?" She asked, to which the man bowed before saying "My Empress, we just got news that the people of Brazil have voted to become independent." This was interesting news indeed, and the Empress said "Okay, send a delegate on ou behalf, ask them how their current military situation is, and if they would like assistance."

With that, the man bowed, and left the room presumably on the way to send a delegation to Brazil on behalf of the Empire of Japan. Finally in today's events another batch of warships were ordered, 1 first Rate, and 2 second Rates, along with 10 unrated ships.

Meanwhile the Opium growing in the Empire was doing well so far, and was being prepared to be exported soon. I was going to be used to Imperial advantage soon enough, but not yet. Not yet........

Having established itself in comfortable offices granted by her Imperial Majesty, the Minister to Japan Dewitt Clinton's legation was preparing to formally initiate relations with the Japanese. The Americans had lot to gain and learn from cooperation with the most advanced Asian power, one which was able to exercise its military almost freely in its vicinity. Should it not become a source of international tension, Japan could prove the ally in the region the dreamers of an American West coast wanted. Dewitt Clinton himself found this country strange, and some members of the delegation used to the calm and quiet of the Virginia countryside had been chocked about the huge crowds in this seemingly small country, at least for the Americans who had compared the maps. Hoping to nurture aforementioned relations and possibly a Pacific power to keep a watch on Mexican naval expansion, he hoped to offer military expertise in the form of an Army and Naval attaché to be established in Japan for the ongoing catching up for Japan to be finished militarily. Possibly even advice or help from American ship-building industry, which was together with Britain the foremost in the world, could be the source of such friendship. The Japanese in contrast lacked the American problems of discipline and morale, something Clinton had been instructed to have people observe or even ask for an attaché in Washington as well. A formal message to the Empress had been drafted to adress this.

Image

To the honored Empress Sakura Kazuma of Japan,

As the Japanese Empire spreads its wings across the Asian hemisphere and rightfully so, meanwhile approaching an economic state closer to the impressive ones of Europe and the United States, it is integral for nations such as ours to stand together for the sake of progress and mutual benefit. It is mine and the President's intention to not only maintain the American trade legation in Asia from Kyoto, but to establish a military attaché in the capital for the advisory purpose in expanding tactical strength of Japanese armies as well as naval construction theory and manouver studies to take place. The United States Federal Army has a sense of curiosity in the irreproachable discipline and morale of Japanese forces and would like to suggest establishing a researching attaché in Washington as a dual project for the benefit of both militaries strengthening and modernization. Should this suggestion be of interest to her Majesty and her government, she can find the US legation's offices where she so graciously allowed us to reside.

Respectfully, Minister to Japan Dewitt Clinton, in the name of President John Marshall of the United States

The Egyptian Front, Egypt, Brtish Empire

The British Army had made good progress in their war against the Ottomans. Granted, a majority of Ottoman forces were distracted by the Arabian, Hungarian, and Russia forces closing in on their capital, but General Hawthorne had formatted a good campaign thus far. Low losses and high territorial gains. 3 weeks ago, Cairo surrendered to 8,500 British soldiers. Now, the British force of 18,500 was fighting small pockets of Ottoman troops on the Sinai peninsula with some ease. The surrender of Ottoman Egyptian forces was expected within the month.

Canberra, Australia, British Empire

Governor James Riley sat at his desk in the large building that was considered the Palace of the Governor. Two weeks ago, he had received a letter from London on a ship loaded with 200 regulars, with orders to begin colonizing the northern coast of Australia. This mission had so far been with some success, with a few small settlements of only tents spring up south of the Indonesian island chain and the Guinea.

Newfoundland City, Newfoundland, British Canada, Brtish Empire

At the same time, Governor Halsley Mackalay recieved a similar letter and 500 Brotish regulars from London, with orders to colonize the Quebec territory before the French or Americans did. Thus far, progress had been slow. Only one venture of settlers and soldiers had made it to the Candian mainland and currently they were building small huts of wood and stone. Mackalay, desperate to keep his job, urged on more groups with all ferocity he could muster.

British Military Reports:

In the last 3 months:

30,000 troops from British Canada and British Australia have enlisted

3 6th Rate ships were completed

3 4th Rate ships were completed

2 2nd Rate Ships were completed

12 unrated ships were completed

24 cannon of 12 lbs were completed

The 1st and 2nd London Rifles were formed out of the former 1st and 2nd Londoners

Battle Report, Ilich Front/ Nagy Front/ Cseh Front, Ottoman Empire
As the months pass by, more and more land is taken from the Ottomans. While at one point in history they were a force to be reckoned with, now they are merely a shell of their former self. With the combined might of Hungary, Britannia, Russia and Arabia, they are incapable of putting up a sufficient defense. While the siege of Tirana was long and tiresome, the march to Burgas treacherous, and the defense of the Adriatic tense, the Hungarian forces stood firm. Ilich and his army eventually took Tirana, but not without heavy losses. Instead of issuing the same orders Nagy had, Ilich let his men do as they pleased. This lead to Tirana being looted and plundered, with much of the people's valuables being taken. Ilich continued his march south towards Greece, defeating any pockets of Ottoman resistance he faced. At Korçë, he took a sharp turn east and started towards Thessaloniki, planning on meeting up with Nagy's army. By September he had besieged the city, and less than a month later, it fell. This time, Ilich suffered even worse losses, and now only had 40,000 infantry and 25,000 cavalry. Nagy eventually received word of Ilich's actions, and commanded him to stay put in Thessaloniki. He was not to push any further, in fear of him wasting more men. He was also to treat the civilians well, and not harass or rob them.

In Burgas, it was a totally different story. While Ilich was wasting most of his men, Nagy was more careful with his approach. His losses were much lower than Ilich and was capable of continuing to press on towards Constantinople. Burgas was quite and easy fight, considering most of the Ottoman forces were either in Greece or fighting the Russians. After Burgas, Nagy commanded half of his forces to continue south towards Constantinople, where they would wait for his return. The other half would travel north to Varna, under the command of Nagy himself. From they, they were to take the city of Bucharest and liberate Romania. Now Varna was a very similar situation, an easy fight. However, a great assistance was the Polish Navy off the coast (for Poland had recently declared war on the Ottomans, too). From there they marched to Bucharest, where they are currently holding a siege.

Lastly, the naval front. Cseh's fleet would eventually be met, by the remaining ships in the Hungarian Navy. He would take his remaining fleet, as well as half of the fleet that joined them, on to attack the city of Tripoli. Tripoli was a major city for the Ottomans, with a great harbor for their navy. Luckily, much of their navy had been dispatched to face the British at Alexandria. Cseh opened fire on the Ottoman fleet, around 2:00 in the afternoon. They small, but brave, fleet had been given ample time to react to this approaching fleet and set out to meet the Hungarians. Sadly for them, it was an absolute slaughter. While the Hungarians did end up loosing a sixth rate and an two unrateds, the entire Ottoman navy was sunk. After the fleet was defeated, 20,000 infantry and 5,000 cavalry were deployed in the city. Along with Cseh's navy attacking Tripoli, half of the other half of the navy, was sent to the island of Malta. Along with 5,000 infantry and 1,000 cavalry, they were ordered to annex the island and use it for fleet basing, until the war was over. They did just this and forced the Knights of Malta to give up their harbor to the Hungarians. the Maltese leadership was left in power, as long as they did not threaten the Huns.

Ethiopian Empire

With the general peace and the only major threat being the British that the Empire successfully signed a nonaggression pact, all that was left was to consolidate and develop what they now hold. The Emperor knowing his people were poor especially the farmers who drove their economy selling coffee beans, he decided to increase the Ethiopian Coffee Company's funding to continue its expansion of the farms and to bring growth and prosperity into the rural parts of Ethiopia. But this was not the only focus that was being put on by the King's personal funds, seeing the world, the large navies of ships with rows of cannon upon cannons he was determined to bring Ethiopia into the seas. He started using his own money to begin improvements in the port of Djibouti, the port due to neglect and the damage from the princes era was left in poor management and hopefully will be fully repaired in 3 months, he also ordered that 2 sloops to be built. He hopes with this boost to the port it will bring trade and prosperity not only to the city but to the Empire as well.

While the Emperor was spending his time looking over the Empire, Regent Gugsa of Yeijju was doing more important foreign affairs. He was annoyed with the British use of the word..."indefinite". To him it seems they just toss that word around as if it meant nothing, though happy he has managed to get the nonaggression pact he was angered with the British being so "determined" to hold onto the Horn of Africa. The British as he has manage to know, are currently attack the Ottoman Empire, extending the amount of land they will hold and ruling more of Africa. He looked at the map he had gotten from a trader, the East of Africa the Great Ethiopian Empire and the thorn of the British in its side.

"¡Larga vida al Imperio Ibérico!"

Madrid, the Imperial Palace of the Spanish Monarchy
Ferdinand was in his office, sorting bills. His Minister of Finance then darted into the room, out of breath. "Your Imperial Majesty, we're having some revenue trouble. A third of our average monthly revenue never arrived." said the Minister. "I fear that Brazil has stopped paying its taxes.". Ferdinand look at the Minister sternly. "I want this figured out now, you nutcase! Either figure it out, or, you lose you position.". "Sir, please. Think common sense. Brazil takes up a third of our average monthly revenue. Brazil has either stopped paying its taxes because its protesting, or, Brazil declared Independence.". "I suppose that's true. Where's the Minister of Colonial Affairs?". "I'll go get him, your Imperial Majesty.". The Minister ran out of the room, and Ferdinand went back to sorting.

Madrid, the Imperial Parliament building
"Brazil has declared Independence you fools! It's obviously correct by our tax report! Brazil has declared Independence! Err....... err....... we should draft every single last man let in our Empire to crush this insidious rebellion!" cried out a Politician. "Order, order!" Maria said while pounding her Gavel. "Let's not get in a rush about this. Other powers can help us, such as Arabia, France, Germany, Britain, and Ethiopia. If they help us win this rebellion, we can give them some of colonies. It's the least we can do if they join our cause. Lets not sacrifice the principals that founded this Great Empire.".

Rio de Janerio, the Revolutionary Parliament building
The former Governor of Colonial Brazil, now President of the Federalist Republic of Brazilian Revolutionaries, and other politicians were drafting a Constitution for Brazil. Just then, the President gets an idea. He interrupts everyone by telling his idea. "Everyone who is in the room, I've got an excellent idea just right to support our cause. I firmly believe that the US, Mexico, Japan, and the Andes Republic can and will help our cause of Independence. If we win this War, we will help other Independence movements in the Iberian Empire, to help our fellow struggling brothers of Patriotism.". Everyone started to clap and carrying on thier business.

Madrid, the Imperial Palace of the Spanish Monarchy
The Minister of Finance and the Minister of Colonial Affairs walked into Ferdinand's office, seeing him asleep. Ferdinand was mumbling 'La Marcha Real' in his sleep. His brother eventually came in. "Ah, just the 2 men I was looking for." said Francisco. "I'm wondering what happened to the Monthly revenue from the Colonies.". "Well, I-uh.... the old Governor of Brazil, you know, the one who supported anatomy, well....... he sent a letter to me personally stating that the Brazil's Parliament voted for Independence." the Minister of Colonial Affairs replied. Just as the Minister of Colonial Affairs said Independence, Ferdinand woke up looking angry. "I never said that to the Governor! I simply tol- wait a second. The Empress wrote the letter. By God, that damn woman! She must be the dumbest Monarch alive!" said Ferdinand. "Please brother, don't start. You'll get another headache." Francisco stuttered. "I don't care about headaches! All I care is getting Brazil back in the Empire. Our Empire has just collapsed in on itself, and we have to fix it. I'm calling for all nations to be in on our cause!".

Event Responses

Iberian Empire:
Things are not looking good for the glorious Iberian Empire. With the recent vote in Brazil, many of the people have followed in line with the charismatic governor, including some of the kings soldiers. Nearly all of the soldiers of Brazilian/Portuguese ancestry, reject the empire and support an independent Brazil. Fights take place between the rebels and the loyalists, which almost always end in a rebel victory. Now the troops march towards the harbors where the empire's navy is docked. Fights erupt between the loyalist navy and Brazilian Army. The navy begins to flee from the port of Rio de Janeiro, so as to not loose any ships to the rebels. However, an unnumbered amount of ships are apprehended by the Brazilian Army. Rio is entirely under Brazilian control now, and word of the revolution is spreading. In fact, Colombia seems to be splitting from Iberia as well. The only colony not grabbing their guns is Peru, and who knows if that will remain true.

Russian Empire:
These new highways to Tabriz, Baku and surrounding cities are proving very successful. They increased ease at which trade comes from ships in Iran, to the motherland. Traders are frequently using these routs, leading to communities along these routs becoming richer for it. However, that also means more Russian settlers are appearing in these areas, and Russian merchants still choose to deal with their own people. While your nation has become richer for these highways, the Azeri people have tasted very little of this wealth. They have begun to attack these richer Russian settlements, and the Russian settlements have begun hiring mercenaries to defend their communities.

Arabian Empire:
With the assurance of the Caliph, many Arabs across the Ottoman realm have risen up to join your army. In Egypt, 10,000 irregulars near Luxor have pledged their allegiance to the Caliph. In Syria and Iraq, 20,000 irregulars have joined up with your conquering forces. However, 10,000 zealots in Palestine have also pledged their support for the Caliph. They have begun attacking British forces and settlements and are attempting to retake Jerusalem for the Arabian Caliph. Many of the forces which have risen up in support of you, also support these Palestinian rebels, saying that the Caliph needs to demonstrate his full power, by removing the British scum.

Japan:
Your choice of, "retaliation," has proved most effective. The Filipino natives stand no chance against the great power of the Japanese army. Many have been slaughtered, and the islands run red with native blood. Nonetheless, the natives continue to fight on, until the Japanese are no longer in their islands. Many have fled to the Iberian side to ask for assistance from the Iberian government. They spread word of Japans actions, and promise their lands to the Iberians, as longs they help them. News of the brutality of the Japanese now spreads throughout the world, striking fear in the hearts of natives, and disgusting the bourgeoisie of Europe.

DEATH TO THE OTTOMANS!

Buzau Province, Ottoman Romania.
The Province was part of the Thunderbolt Ottoman campaign. A day after the declaration of war, the 42nd Winged Hussars unit and the the Hermes's Rangers 3rd Platoon stormed into Buzau city, with the Hussars charging infantry lines along the Buzau river. Once the enemy forces near the river fled their positions, the Rangers advanced with little resistance until they finally entered into the city. The Rangers were ordered to "open fire on any fucking thing that moves" and that is what they did. After a day of fighting, the Rangers regrouped once again near the river, with the Winged Hussars now taking over the assault of the city. The northern, northwest, northeast, and southwest sections of Buzau city were captured. The rest of the city surrendered, and the governor of the province (who foolishly stayed) ordered all troops in Buzau Province to surrender to "The Godly and Holy Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth!" (his words). The governor was already a Christian, so he was allowed to continue rule of Buzau province since he seemed to know what he was doing.

Danube River Conquest, Ottoman Romania
The city Braila was the first to fall, since it was right on the border of the Commonwealth. After border troops took over the city, the Romanian Christians were segregated from the Muslims, who were banished from the city and exiled to wander to far away lands. It didn't matter where they went, so long as they were far away. Imams and Muslim politicians were executed as well. Christian militias were made from nearby villages and they were allowed to serve as the protection force of their villages, allowing the Commonwealth forces to focus on seizing all lands up to the Danube Delta. The control of parts of the Danube allowed more troops (under THE Jeremiah Lewinsky himself) to capture Slobozia Province. A casualty count is underway soon, but excitement is high at the recent expansions.

Peking, Great Qing

Whilst the government was mired in factionalism, corruption and internal strife, there were a few things the Dahui and Son of Heaven could agree upon unequivocally, and of these was the supremacy of glorious China above all other nations. Whilst all admit that the recent civil war has weakened the ancient Middle Kingdom, and some even question the Jiaqing Emperor's Mandate, it is a known fact that even a weak and destitute China is a hundred million thousand times greater than the barbarians and savages lurking at it's peripheries, and that such uncivilized peoples must be reminded of their inferiority lest they reach above themselves. Whilst most of Qing's tribute states have remained loyal enough, fearing their hegemon even during it's great civil war, one former underling has seen fit to try and shove themselves in the sun, Wa, or as they called themselves, Nippon.

A stunted nation from it's conception, Nippon has long been trapped on their confined island prison, embroiled in centuries of unending war and intermittent tribute missions. These Japanese, as some call them, are descended from Chinese exiles and colonists, though they have fallen into barbarism in the millennia since. Now, seeking what seems to be primacy, they have aligned themselves with the dangerous, crafty Western barbarians, falling even further into depravity and uncivilized savagery by abandoning much of the heritage and culture they share with civilization in favor of Western styles and governance. Whilst this alone might be tolerable, their recent bids at an empire in the Philippines have caused many in the Emperor's court to question whether this upstart state should be allowed to continue it's expansion. After all, their savage attempts at colonialism and annexation - a sad try at emulating their Western masters - have seemingly ended in bloodshed and brutality too terrible to describe, and all inflicted on a former Chinese trade partner no less. Even worse, the Japanese threaten the southernmost of the Qing's tribute state, intermittent allies and protectorates such as the Sulu Sultanate and small but profitable Lanfang Republic, a Han settlement in nearby Borneo.

Whilst many in the military, gunning for a chance at regaining honors lost in the last war and advocating for the unifying influence an external enemy can have on the nation, plead with the Emperor to immediately declare war, others in government take a more pragmatic approach. The Westerner's who keep Japan as their new lapdog are, after all, valuable trade partners, and as the recent war with the Russians has shown, not to be arbitrarily trifled with. As such, the Emperor, supported by the Dahui (for once), has decided instead to simply draft a letter...

Image

O Queen, rightful ruler of Japan, Ryuku and far Hawaii - you are bid fair tidings by His Majesty, Son of Heaven, Lord of Ten Thousand Years and Jiaqing Emperor of Great Qing Dynasty, who wishes you continued health and happiness.

Unfortunately, it has come to the Holy and Exalted One's attention that your people have seen fit to send a military expedition to near Ma-i and the lands of Tondo, actions against the wishes and interests of the world's civilized peoples, and endeavors that remain entirely unjustified. Recent tidings of war in these lands have also reached the court of Great Qing, and been met with horror! Such actions do not befit even barbarians such as yourselves.

Nonetheless, the Son of Heaven is willing to forgive your transgressions against the world's peoples and former trade partners to Great Qing, so long as your barbarian armies immediately evacuate themselves from the territory unrightfully ceased. In return for the great Emperor's forgiveness, it is also demanded of You that tribute missions are resumed post hast, and assurances in the form of written and ratified treaties swearing your people will never again attack or harm an associate of the Great Qing are also requested.
