Are you Hellenos? I noticed that this nation doesn't exist, so I'm wondering who it is.

Also, since Arthur didn't die I have Ashara currently living. I don't know if anyone is going to play Dondarrion so I was wondering if anyone is interested in the two Dayne ladies. Thought it would be nice to have some connections with some Houses (beside me trying to get Edric betrothed to Rhaenys/Alysanne Stark).

Yeah, that's Hellenos/Mish.

Edric is a fitting match for Alysanne, in the eyes of Ned at least. Cersei on the other hand'll bite anyone who tries to take away her children. But Tywin and Ned combined can, I think, reign her in and get her to accept it.

Elia Nymeros Martell
Princess of Dorne, Queen Consort of the Seven Kingdoms

Sweet Elia was born to Arianne Nymeros Martell and her husband Trystane Fowler in the Year 256 After the Conquest. From a young age Elia was a delicate creature, born premature and not expected to last beyond the first year of her life. And yet live she did, through infancy and into adolescence with a fire that all strong princesses hoped to possess. She was a beauty at a young age, even if her health denied the world the prize of gazing upon her. Yet for the honoured few who were allowed in her presence all took note of her wit, a sharp mind that sobered even the most inebriated of lords and courtiers. Too they noted of her relationship with her younger brother, the rash and brave Oberyn Nymeros Martell. No stronger bond could have existed, even if the two had grown up in their mother's womb together as twins. On the hand of her brother, Elia could walk and sometimes even dance as well as the best in her audience, and for that it was surely meant to be that they would stay closest of the Princes of Dorne.

Caring Elia was married in 280AC, in the Great Sept of Baelor before the eyes of half of the realm. Her dress, ghostly white samite embroidered with the fifty thousand spears of Dorne, silenced the great lords and the small with its beauty. Across her slender shoulders draped the cloak of her house, that most majestic family who had once ruled sovereign when all other nobles feared the flight of dragons. The deep orange sun seemed to blaze loud and raw, twisting and spitting like true flame with every measured step of the betrothed. It was her elder brother, Doran Nymeros Martell, who steadied her walk with a hand and comforting words, taking the place left vacant by the overdue passing of the late Prince-Consort Trystane Fowler. He too drew the eyes of Westeros' nobility, tall and proud as he brought his sister to her betrothed: The Prince of Dragonstone, Rhaegar Targaryen.

Gentle Elia had once fallen half in love with Baelor Hightower, heir to rule over the great city of Oldtown and the vassals who did it service. Yet that passing fancy had been just so, leaving Courageous Elia without a husband to whom she could grow to love and cherish and share in the experiences of a life lived well. However a passing fancy would surely have blossomed, if not into love, then into a companionship of shared respect and fondness. Instead the Princess of Dorne was wed to the king's son and heir. A youth of books he had been, of soft words and widow's songs. The man was a different beast altogether, more in keeping with his ancestor Daemon the Falseborn than Daeron the Good. Their marriage began strong, owed to the dutiful nature of Elia more than any sense of honour or warmth from the prince. A daughter she bore for her husband, though it left her pale and bedridden and weeping. A son she bore for Rhaegar, though it almost sent her to the Stranger's door. And still it was not enough for him.

Innocent Elia, weak and left despairing after Aegon's troubled birth, was dragged to the Tourney of Harrenhal. She was meant to bear witness to her husband's triumph, to be honoured for her selfless nature. Instead he honoured the wolf bitch with a crown, and made her a gift of his heart. Rhaegar, his true nature revealed, absconded with the bitch and left his father to deal with the wrath of the wolves. Not a well man, neither in body nor mind, King Aerys set the realm against itself, whether from fear or as Rhaegar would have it: insanity.

Honest Elia survived the war, a true victory over Rhaegar who had the honour to watch the life of his bitch seep away. Now Queen, Elia can take no comfort from it, knowing that her husband cares little about her, about the sacrifices she has made for him. Everyday she must look upon the bitch's bastard, raised as if he were some sort of prince himself, an equal to her own children. It is a slight that all of Dorne bears with her, their hands reaching out to steady her when she sways.

Doran Nymeros Martell
Knight of the Seven, Lord of Sunspear, Prince of Dorne

Prince Doran Nymeros Martell was born to Arianne Nymeros Martell and her husband Trystane Fowler in the Year of 247 After the Conquest. The firstborn, Doran was destined to inherit his mother's principality. For some this would come to resemble a great weight upon an infant, the duty a gilded cage in which a child finds themselves trying to break free. The young prince, however, was a ruler at the breast, a lord in the cot. He knew his numbers after only a single lesson, and the history of his house before he was even old enough to squire. And even as a boy he knew to harden his heart, to shield his emotions from the vipers of court. Yet even as his skin became like ringmail and his face an iron helm, Prince Doran of the Rhoynar and the First Men could not find it within himself to let go of a single weakness: his family.

Two brothers came and went when Doran was still a child. He wept over their corpses, each time decrying the gods for their apathy as the septons struggled to find words to settle the boy's mind. And yet even as a young child his maturity, his ancestral bloodline, wrestled for dominance in explaining the world's hard truths. So it was that when Princess Arianne again fell pregnant that young Doran steeled his heart against tragedy. He had to be strong, like his mother. For a moment it seemed that his foresight proved validated, learning of the premature birthing while squiring for Lord Gargalen of Salt Shore. And yet the blood that brought him great aptitude for his destined role as ruler flowed true in his sister. A year passed, and another. Soon young, sweet Elia was a women grown, as gentle and caring as he was. Though he never mentioned his belief that she would not survive the cot, Doran never found himself able to truly give himself over as anything other than a prince to his sister. There was affection, a sibling's love, but no true friendship. A somber truth that did nothing to dampen his anger for Rhaegar, and the stain that the inbred mistake had smeared on them all.

But before King Rhaegar, before the Tourney of Harrenhal that gave birth to war, Doran was a man of life. Journeying to the Free Cities of Essos, a voyage the Martells had long undertaken since before even the days of the Two Realms, Doran felt something that was to be denied to his sister: love. It was a fierce thing as hot as the sun that graced his sigils, envied by all that had the fortune to see it for themselves. So strong in truth that the young prince was able to forget his place, if only for a few short years. Mellario was the woman who so ensnared young Doran, short and buxom, with a face betraying a lineage that stretched back to the days of the Freehold. They fell in love, the prince and the lady, their attraction so powerful that it was able to pull the Norvosi towards the desolate jewel of Dorne and a future with her prince.

In the year 276 their love resulted in child, a daughter to succeed Doran as his mother once succeeded his grandfather. Young, Arianne was not attractive. The fear that she would never take after her aunt sent the little princess to the sept every night with prayers to the maiden and mother and crone, begging them for the beauty denied her. One of them answered her, honouring her with a body that took after her mother and aunt both. Now a women grown herself, Arianne's beauty is matched only by her adventurous nature.

Quentyn was born in 281, a son who found himself turned to pawn in his father's politics. Sent as a ward to Yronwood in payment for his uncle's misdeeds, Quentyn grew up without a strong bond with his family. Instead, he has come to see the Bloodroyals as his family, fantasies of wedding Lord Anders' daughters keeping him contented as Sunspear turns to pale shadow in his memory.

The last of Doran's children, Trystane, was born in 287. For a while it seemed that this child was the key to saving a marriage turning to rot, an iron chain to bind Sun and Bells together for perpetuality. And indeed, though Doran's heart had long tempered, he still held out for his wife to settle in his home of sour wine and fiery spice. Maybe when he was still young, the prince wrestling with the man, joyful Trystane could have been the bridge between cultures. Alas, as the gods gave to Arianne, they took from her father. Learning of his intention to ward off their second son to another noble, Mellario finally lost her will to fight. Leaving behind her family and the best part of two decades of her life, the Norvosi returned home, never to return to Westeros.

If the departure of his lady wife was a painful memory, the aging Prince of Dorne offered no tears or noticeable ticks. His mind had long turned to the Red Keep, and the king who reigned within.

Image
Oberyn Nymeros Martell
Knight of the Seven, Prince of Dorne, the Red Viper

Prince Oberyn Nymeros Martell was born to Arianne Nymeros Martell and her husband Trystane Fowler in the Year of 257 After the Conquest. Tall, dark, and handsome, Oberyn has always displayed the exotic charm of Dorne. For many it would seem that he exemplified the figure of Marcher legends, of the Dornish warrior armed not with steel blade and lance, but with poison and deceit. Even as a child Oberyn was a lustful creature, bedding women twice his age even before he was old enough to conceive. It was this lust which led him into the bed of Lord Yronwood's paramour, a slight which could only be remedied with holy and noble clash of arms. For the Andal Kingdoms, this duel would have been the end of it, a single drop of blood spilt in order to keep the rest of the sands dry. But not in Dorne, and not with a fighter such as Oberyn. Lord Yronwood's wound festered, weeping a thick nectar of yellow puss and frothing blood. His death was laid at the feet of Oberyn, the Bloodroyals calling for his head at the treachery, for they were of the blood of Andals, who felt as all faithful about the stain that poison gave to honour.

So he went into exile upon the orders of his brother, the Prince of Dorne. For years he stayed away from Dorne, as Doran set about mending the rift he had carved up between liege and vassal with his own child. To the Free Cities he went, one after the other. At first he was a scholar, perfecting the craft of medicine and poison both from guilds older than the Maesters of Oldtown, or the venerable Pyromancers who once held sway over the royal courts. Satsified, Oberyn turned to the only other pursuit available to a young man of his character: war. The length of his exile came and went as he fought in the Disputed Lands, riding with sellsword companies of ancient lineage and those formed by his own guiding hand for season after season. The name of Red Viper, once spoken as mocking insult, now held respect and fear in all of old Valyria's daughters. So great was his reputation, so hot his blood, that Oberyn returned to Essos shortly after the Tourney of Harrenhal in order to vent his anger. Leading sellswords against those of the great city of Norvos, Oberyn found himself too far away to affect Rhaegar's treachery before it was too late.

While others would allow their exile to temper them, Oberyn only let it fuel his appetites. Bastard daughter after bastard daughter came into being by his deeds, from Oldtown to Volantis, by septa or Summer Islander. Of those he came to learn of, four chose to follow him to Dorne. Named Sand Snakes for their infamous father, these four daughters were soon to grow into fearsome warriors themselves, as adept with blade and venom as their father.

Only a year younger than his royal sister, Oberyn was close to sweet Elia, a relationship that only grew stronger with age. As children they journeyed with their mother from noble seat to noble seat on a quest for marriages that would bring the influence and prestige lost after Doran's betrothal for love. Though the mission ended in failure and insult at the hands of Lord Lannister, it did strengthen that most beautiful bond between the younger dornish siblings. So it was with great anger that he witnessed the wolf bitch's crowning by Rhaegar, an act that almost spurred the hot-blooded prince to draw steel against the slight. It was only the intervention of Elia herself which stopped royal blood from being spilled. Yet even the princess's honeyed words could not cool the growing hatred that took hold of his heart.

Even now, fifteen years since the King's coronation, Oberyn's heart is of a blood as dark as the poisons which gave him his name.

In my mind it wasn't that I didn't like him (I actually did, funnily enough, in terms of a rounded character.) I just wanted to avoid the confusion of having two Viserys (Viseryi? Viseryses?) running around. That's it, really.

I don't think it would've been terribly confusing, at least, not compared to houses like the Lannisters or Freys anyway, but in the long run it doesn't really matter, just wondering how he (Viserys #1) died

There's two reasons, in my mind.

The first is, as Liec already pointed out, it's confusing to have two Viserys running around, but Rhaegar is absolutely obsessed with the "three heads of the dragon" prophecy and he'd name !jon-snow Viserys regardless of whether or not Viserys lived.

The second reason, to me at least, is that it's rather odd for House Targaryen to go through one of the largest challenges to their rule in recent history without losing anything other than the Mad King, who was already going to be deposed (and perhaps killed, had Robert won) -- and the Mad King isn't even dead, since he's imprisoned on Dragonstone! To me, it helps highlight the vulnerability of the Targaryens -- even after successfully overcoming the challenges of Robert's Rebellion and governing the realm through the past 1.5 decades of peace and rebuilding, the Targaryens are still a very, very vulnerable house in terms of heirs. There simply aren't many Targaryens left. This highlights Rhaegar's feelings on 'doom and gloom' for Westeros (and his family!) while encouraging him to keep his family metaphorically and literally close -- which will have consequences down the line in the RP.

Direct Forces/Vassal Forces: 4000 Levy, 400 Cavalry

  • 283: Roose's forces aid the Rebels at the Battle of the Trident, but they are ultimately defeated
  • 289: During the Greyjoy Rebellion Roose is injured badly, resulting in the amputation of his left leg. Domeric is sent to Barrowtown to serve as a page for his aunt, Lady Barbrey Dustin

  • 293: Domeric is sent to the Redford to serve as a squire to Lord Horton Redfort

The 'disappearance' of Ramsay leads Roose and Domeric Bolton to believe he is dead, causing Domeric to hold some resentment towards his father for not allowing him to visit his only brother before his 'death'.

If Rhaegar's goal was to recreate the Conqueror and his siblings to create the "three heads of the dragon", I think there's another option for Not-Jon's name: Orys. Orys Baratheon was Aegon the Conqueror's dark-haired rumoured half-brother and Not-Jon is Aegon's dark-haired half-brother. Also, naming his son after the founder of the Baratheon dynasty would help to reconcile Baratheon loyalists in the Stormlands with the Throne, and this way Rhaegar still has an opportunity to birth a new Visenya.

Orys wasn't one of the "Three Heads" though. It was Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys because they rode the three dragons of House Targaryen. Since Rhaegar is so obsessed with the whole "Three Heads" thing I don't think he would've named him Orys

Denied

1- History could be improved, the bandit part is a bit random and Mace certainly wouldn't help the kingdom prosper as Master of Coin.
2: Vassal forces are nearer the 70,000 mark, and you need to include how many soldiers the Tyrells can directly call up.
3: Just some general formatting with the app to clear up.

Semi-cannon by GRRM says up to 100,000 for the reach.

I dont remember Mace being bad with money, so i dont see why it wouldnt prosper.
