The Gulltown Arryns being buddying up to House Grafton makes sense, but their relevance can be brought into question.

Also, I'd think maybe 20~ warships.

Direct Forces/Vassal Forces: Directly levies 3,000 men in a mix of spearmen and men-at-arms. An additional force of 120 knights are in service, and a fleet of 20 ships. The vassal houses of Shett and Arryn of Gulltown can each levy a further 1,000 men each, and have a combined service of around 70 knights.
History of the House since 282 AC

House Grafton sides with the Royalists and is defeated in the Taking of Gulltown at the outset of Robert's Rebellion, with Lord Marq being killed in the action. His young son Gerold is named Lord, and sits out the rest of the conflict in charge of a broken House and city. Lord Martyn Shett of Gulltown, a bannerman of House Grafton, serves as chief advisor to the young lord, and after three years a marriage is arranged between his daughter and his liege lord, securing their friendship.

House Grafton is still out of favour with many Houses of the Vale however for their leanings in the war, and they struggle under punishments in the form of increased taxes and customs levies on their port, punishments they see as wholly illegal considering the outcome of the war. This leads to a growing closer of House Grafton and their other vassal house, the cadet branch of Arryn of Gulltown. Seen as profiteers and boorish by their cousins of the main branch of Arryn, the Arryns of Gulltown were disliked and also suffered under the stringent new customs policies. They were however very well connected in the world of commerce and trade, and with special permissions and privileges from their liege lord they managed to help the city continue to survive and flourish. The bond was strengthened slightly also by the marriage of Lord Gerold's younger brother Daemon to a daughter of the Gulltown Arryns.

Beginning around 290, Lord Gerold ordered the building of a fleet for the protection of Gulltown. It has since swelled to twenty ships, mostly galleys of between 200 to 400 oars, and has bee used extensively to protect merchant vessels the waters around the Vale.

Personal History since 282 AC:

After the death of his father at the taking of Gulltown, right at the beginning of Robert's Rebellion, the young Gerold Grafton was made Lord. Only fourteen at the time, he had sharp enough wits and a strong enough arm, but his youth and inexperience made him rather unsuited to the position. He was manipulated into accepting punishments that were far too stringent for his father's 'disloyalty' to the House of Arryn. Punishments that should not have been dealt at all considering the royalist victory, a fact which left a sting in Gerold's conscience. In the early years of his rule
he relied heavily on advice and counsel, no small part of which came from Lord Shett, House Grafton's principal bannerman who had also been ostracised slightly for their support of the royalists. The two Houses grew closer through this, and three years later at the age of seventeen, Gerold married Alayne Shett.

Over the years Gerold has worked contently to strengthen and grow Gulltown, and some years ago began the constructing of a small fleet of ships in order to protect the large volume of merchant trade flowing to and from the city. This endeavour was helped somewhat by Lord Gerold's younger brother Daemon marrying into the cadet branch of Arryn's which operate from Gulltown. Though seen as uncouth by their cousins, they are quite wealthy and well connected, and through favourable deals and permissions they have been brought to support the Grafton's in no small degree.
Now with the question of Arryn succession on the table, House Grafton will be pushing for their friend's claim to be heard.

Ah, I misunderstood. But in medieval armies not all cavalrymen were necessarily knights. I'll edit it now though, and I'll have an app up for Daemon soon-ish too. Maybe tomorrow.

Personal History since 282 AC:

The youngest brother of the Grafton household, Daemon was only twelve years old at the time of Robert's Rebellion, and so had no part to play. With his brother as lord and no clear heir, Daemon himself was groomed for the position lightly, but to no great extent. He much preferred training in the yard as opposed to the study. It served him well however, as he earned himself quite a bit of repute in a few tourneys. Not just from the House Grafton sigil, but also from his almost lanky height he earned the nickname of the Tower Knight, which he wears quite proudly.

Before he even earned his knightly status however, his lordly brother organised a marriage for him, to a daughter of the branch of Gulltown Arryns,
a cadet branch of the Lord Paramount house and a very well connected merchant family. The marriage secured support for Grafton control over the area and opened a multitude of new opportunities for the Houses and the port city of Gulltown. Ser Daemon is largely disinterested in politics and commerce, though not dim-witted, he is much happier to simply carry out the orders of others in his duty as a knight.

Personal History since 282 AC:

The eldest son of the late Lord Marq Grafton, Domnyc was an anointed knight and twenty years of age when Gulltown was taken.
Naturally he fought alongside his father in the defence of the city, but was sadly wounded quite badly in the fighting. It took him a number of weeks to recover, by which time it was decided by the leadership of the Vale that he should not be allowed to rule as Lord of House Grafton and Gulltown,
considering his involvement in the fighting. Unwilling to pass the sentence of execution, Ser Domnyc was instead sent to the Wall to serve as a member of the Night's Watch.

Almost sixteen years later and Ser Domnyc has settled in to his role at the Wall, though he does still occasionally think of home. Neither of his brothers have been to visit him in the time since he has joined, nor he them.
