Suddenly, a voice appeared to his right."Bonjour Monsieur, I was wondering if you alright? I saw what happen, I'm hoping that you were not injured." He started, and looked over. there was a pretty French girl, a brunette, speaking to him. She extended a hand. "I am Marie-Christine Bourgeois, pleasure to meet you." Something made a small noise, and she giggled. It was a spirit mink, which Oscar began to stare at. "and this is Mignonne, she's a mink." Her voice showed no malice, "and you can trust I will not shock you Monsieur." Adrian turned slightly red but tried to hide it. Inside, he was thinking, "Oh, shoot, a pretty girl, Ok, don't screw up again. You'll be fine, deep breath..." He spoke with a twitch of nervousness in his voice. "Oh, uh, pleasure, I'm Adrian, Adrian Andersson, if we're, you know, formal. I-I suppose you saw that little incident, heh." Behind her shoulder he saw a big Irish guy help up the girl, while the scrawny kid from before walked over...

Marie

Marie blushed slightly, "Oui, I saw, and I just though on how terrible that was.....such a nasty prank, specially on someone who is skittish as it is." She sat next to him and put a hand on his shoulder sympatheticly, Mignonne crawled down her arm onto his shoulder and rubbed against Adrian's neck. "She seems to like you Monsieur Adrian," she giggles again, "so where are you from? I can tell its from Northern Europe but I can't pin point it. I'm from France, Orléans to be exact."

Thats when she looked down and saw the Wolverine, "and who is this?" She pets the animals head, "he is quite cute." She smiles and looks at Adrian waiting for the answers to her questions.

Barron looked at the girl for a few more seconds, running the accent through his head again until the vulture atop his shoulder poked him with its beak once more.
"Oh, no though." He shakes his head in reply to his posture. "I see animals sit like this and I like it. It's comfortable. Are you by yourself? I am to, just got here. This is Fallax." The vulture doesn't seem to mind or acknowledge much was going on. "I'm Barron."

Adrian is slightly flustered at this pretty girl paying attention to him. He thinks to himself, "So far, so good, don't screw up, don't screw up...wait, she's putting her hand on my shoulder, do I do the same, or not? Uhhh..." He manages to force out an answer: "Oh, it-it really was nothing, I uh, maybe overreacted a tiny bit. And yes, I'm from up North, Sweden, Stockholm, to be exact." He becomes aware of the little mink rubbing his neck. "Oh yes, she does seem to like me, somewhat. She's cute." He points to Oscar, sunning himself, but keeping a close watch at the little mink. "This is Oscar, he's, uh, a little more vicious than this usually, but, I think he likes the mink, kinda like me." As he said that, he screamed at himself. "DID YOU LITERALLY JUST FLIRT BY ACCIDENT? HOW CAN ONE POSSIBLY DO THAT?!!!" He manages to stop himself from turning maroon, but it's hard. Oscar seems to make a weird huffing growl, which Adrian is pretty sure is Oscar laughing at his stupidity. "Change the subject, change the subject..." He then clears his throat. "So, you're French then? I suppose that's why you have the rapier. How is France?. I've never been, but it looks pretty." Thinking to himself: "Thank god that disaster was averted."

"Hmm," Noah nodded, smiling at the coyote. For all the fear surrounding such predators in the real world, this one seemed rather cute. It reminded him of the neighbor's dog he knew, back in Seattle. "Understandable. Roadrunners could be anywhere."

"I'm from Seattle," he said, turning his attention back to the group. "I didn't realize how far people came to attend here. I didn't even really know where Aurawalkers lived, honestly." he shrugged.

Anna Seikelmann, Monday, October 2nd, Colorado, United States of America

Anna raised an eyebrow inquisitively and curious about the boy's statement. Ill have to try that at some point, maybe I'll like it. But for now, she raised two fingers to her brow in a mock salute. " Anna Seikelmann is my name and Zhis is Blitz, Mein Volfhound." Blitz lifted his head at the mention of his name and glanced over at Anna, disinterested. " And Ja, I'm alone." She sighed. " Ich bin immer alleine. Nice to meet you Barron. And you as vell Fallax. So, vhere are you from?"

Christine Lawrence

Trailing behind one of the shuttles that had made its way to the campus of St. Draefend's was a short-haired girl with a quite peculiar mode of transport. Indeed, instead of having hitched a ride with the school's transport like so many other more sensible people had done, the girl rode on the back of a ghastly lion of a bluish shade, which was able to part the crowds with its sheer presence, or perhaps just its size. The girl herself wore a red t-shirt with a black jacket and matching pants, and had a brown messenger's bag slung over her shoulder and a duffel bag held in her hand, though perhaps the most immediately striking thing about her, besides her blue hair extensions, was the glaive strapped to her back, the weapon that had been assigned to her by her trainers at some point during the past two months. However, this was hardly the first thing people looked at either way, what with her riding on the back of her large spirit animal.

Wading through the crowds of students that reluctantly moved aside to make way for the spirit animal and her rider, the girl eventually arrived at the table where the teachers were seated, taking the names of Aurawalkers who were to begin their education at St. Draefend's, where a lady with a clipboard looked up, only moderately phased at the waving and smiling girl who rode the spectral barbary lion.

"Hi! W-" The woman began, before being swiftly interrupted.

"Hiya!" The excitable girl replied, clearly oblivious to the protocol currently at play. Blinking once, the woman continued.

"Er, yes, welcome home, Aurawalker. Last name?" She asked.

"Lawrence, Christine Lawrence. Nice to meetcha." The girl replied with a grin, inadvertently skipping over another segment of the conversation.

"Alright then, that would be all Christine. Feel free to explore the quad and talk to the other students. Our headmistress will speak to all students shortly. And again, welcome home." The woman stated, to which Christine simply nodded, flashing the teacher another smile before patting her lion on the head with her free hand, prompting it to continue on its way towards the quad, where the rest of the student body was currently assembling. Some were out on their own, but the vast majority was locked in conversation, which made the blonde Englishwoman yearn for some social interaction herself.

"Alright, King Arthur. It's the start of a new life, of our legend! We can't be greedy and want all the glory right away, though. We should start out small like everyone else and find ourselves a nice party of adventurers first, don't you think?" She said to her spirit animal, and in response, the lion let out a grunt that, if translated to body language, would very likely have counted as a shrug. "I knew you'd agree, you know your stuff you big fluffy thing! Now let's see..." The girl continued, looking around the area to see if she could spot any individuals worthy of her attention... or more accurately, someone free that she could talk to. Before long, she spotted a blonde boy who seemed to be all by himself, and figuring that it was better than nothing, she patted Arthur on the head once again, prompting him to begin moving in his direction.

"Hey there!" The girl with the glaive slung across her back called out from atop the spirit lion. "You're new here too, right? I'm Christine, nice to meet you."

The first thing that indicated someone was coming near were Paul's skittish bouncing as he gave short, low barks, his tail seemingly defying physics at it wagged. So it was no small shock when the girl approaching Daniel turned out to have a giant glaive strapped to her back and strode atop a lion like some bad internet Photoshop job. "D-Daniel, Daniel van Breems." He said, doing his best not to spurt out Dutch obscenities. "And you?" He asked, slowly gravitating to the gun case behind him. "Mijn God, een leeuw. Wat doet het hier met een meisje bovenaan, niet minder?" He muttered under his breath as he tried his best to hide his confusion. The only thing that momentarily distracted him was Paul trotting up and sniffing the lion, his tail wagging even harder once he realized he had a new friend.

Hunter Moss, Day Two of Month Ten, St. Draefend's School

Hunter hadn't found to the last bit that Aldwyn had gotten into a near scuffle with a big dog. He made his way to his bear, rubbing its ruffled fur. "C'mon Aldwyn, you and that nose of yours always seems to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time," he says scoldingly. Aldwyn the begins toshove his snout into Hunters chest, making him laugh. "Alright, alright, I see what your saying. Wholly keep in mind who does the talking about here though, will you, and has to be sore on your behalf!" Aldwyn made a small din that Hunter took to be a chuckle, rolled his eyes, and looked for the dog that Aldwyn had messed with.

Upon finding the dog...wolf more like it, and its owner, a tow-headed girl who was talking to a boy on the floor. He moved towards them. He heard the endings of what they were saying, so their names, before being near enough to cough to get them to heed him. " Hey, sorry for bursting in on you folks chatting. I wanted to say sorry to you on behalf of Aldwyn,'' he says to Anna. "He may have come off badly to your wolf." As he says this, Aldwyn shuffles behind him, nosing his lower back. ''Oh, and how bad of me. My name is Hunter. I caught both your names already. Not that I was eavesdropping!" He said.

"Anyways," her voice raised ever-so-slightly as to be audible. There was a lot of ruckus around here. Tanith was probably the cause for a lot of it. "On the topic of weaponry. Hope I'm not breaking any secret pre-established social norms by asking this, but what special deadly thingy-majigs do ya have there?" Scratching at her itchy glove, she swore that she was going to eat her nonexistent hat if she saw another sword.

Tim grinned at the mention of weaponry; he was starting to like this girl. He unslung his bag from his back to reveal his shield. Tim moved the shield from his back to its place on his right arm. "A weighted Celtic shield. Functional and fashionable, don't ya think?"

So far, Tim was enjoying his time in America. It was different from Ireland. In Colorado, the temperature was pretty close, but the altitude was going to take some getting used to. He was glad he was able to strike up a conversation: he knew full well if Tanith hadn't of fallen, he wouldn't have dreamt of saying anything first. The diversity was already bordering on culture shock, with people from so many different countries, it wasn't like anything back home.

Anna was distracted from the conversation by a cough. Instinctively, Anna slid her hand in the hilt if her sowed before taking it off as she turned to face the creator of the noise. Another boy stood there, beside a bear that Anna recognized as the one Blitz ha dust about attack earlier. Blitz noticed the bear as well and his ears perked up and a growl sounded from his throat. Anna looked down at her dog. " Blitz," The wolfhound looked up at her. "Nein."

Anna turned to the boy as Blitz lay his head back down. "Zhere is no need to apologize. If anyone hope should be apologizing, it should be me apologizing for Blitz." Blitz gave an annoyed stare at Anna. " Nice to meet you Hunter. May I ask vhere you are from?" Anna shuffled her feet uncomfortably. " If you care to know, I am from zhe German Republik."

Noah's attention drifted to the twin sickles that poked out of his bag. They had been awkwardly shoved in, but he allowed them some breathing room after he left Gladsprings. Their dull bronze-colored blades seemed to hum with potential.

"It's patriotic, at least." He said, as he slid the blades from his bag. He absentmindedly twirled them with his wrists, thinking back to the training he was given since his day of discovery. "I guess we're going to be soldiers, huh?" The question was devoid of hope, excitement, or dread: it was simply a confirmation of a duty. A duty Noah would prepare for...as best he could, anyway.

Adrian was completely confused and shocked when she leaned over and kissed him. Granted, had it been on the lips he would have probably jumped backwards and set off his rifle. But for Adrian, a kiss is a kiss no matter where it is, and he was very, very...shell-shocked, if he had to pick a word. Inside he thought to himself: "Dude, dude, dude! Keep a hold of yourself, force out responses, make chatter, buy yourself time for god's sake!" He then looked over at Oscar and the mink and choked out: "Yes, yes they do seem to like each other." This was true, as they seemed to be playing...tag? Could figments of souls play tag? He managed to continue stuttering words out: "Wow, France really does seem to be a nice place. Almost as pretty as Stockholm." He then breaks out in a silly grin. "And no, I won't say a word about the wine, unless...you share some. I'm kidding, I'm kidding!" He chuckled then. "Sweden's also a beautiful place. Beautiful green rolling hills, forests full of creatures hiding, sparkling water. People are nice, and many are happy." He then recleared his throat. "So how did you find Mignonne?"

Gaelle Rhyner

One of the last students to arrive was the one who showed up in the Maserati Granturismo, which was driven by someone else, someone in a black suit who clearly worked for a large company or a rich person. The girl sitting in the passenger seat was kind of staring off into the distance, clearly bored with the setup, but she perked up visibly when they arrived at the school. Where the students already seemed to have arrived. "Drive faster next time," she complained, before climbing out and running to the school entrance and the check in desk.

"Rhyner?" asked the receptionist.

"Who else did'ya think I was?"

The receptionist sent her to the quad where the others were, and she took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down before looking around at the others and deciding to make sure they were aware that she'd arrived. "Your queen is home!" she announced, with outstretched arms like she was expecting applause. If they actually applauded, that was great. If not, she'd say she was only pretending and that she was being sarcastic and self deprecating. She'd look good either way.

She noticed he was muttering something under his breath, but she could not quite hear him well and, in any case, she would not have understood him anyway, so she paid no mind to that, instead carefully climbing down from King Arthur's back. "Be good to your little new friend, alright?" She told the lion, patting it on the head before leaving it to its devices. Curious about the other spirit animal, and also aware that its master did not want it to cause any trouble, the beast simply decided to rest on the ground with its front paws extended and observe the dog.

"What about me?" The blonde girl asked the dutch boy, tilting her head for a moment. "I already told you, I'm Christine. Christine Lawrence if you want to get all formal, but that isn't really my style, I hope you don't mind." She said, extending a hand for Daniel to shake. "Oh, and the big guy is King Arthur, he seems to be getting along with your cute little doggy so far." She added afterwards, nodding her head towards the lion and the dog.

I was browsing social media apps on my phone, not to check women out of course, when a girl yelled "Your Queen Is Home!" I was slightly startled and nearly fell off the pony wall i was sitting on. I looked at the source of the yell and i found out that it came from a cute German-Austrian-Swiss-Western European-ish girl. I whistled and whispered to myself, "She definitely looks like a queen alright." As i was about to approach her, i hear Colmillo bark silently, "What? Colmillo! She's not "Full of herself", be nice next time." the Hyena then replied with a groan, "Okay fine, maybe she's full of herself, but that won't stop me from talking to her. Remember, everyone is our friend." I say whilst rubbing Colmillo's ear.

As we were walking to the girl, Colmillo said something in the form of a short laugh, "What no! I'm not talking to her just for her "Booty". And stop calling it booty." I replied.

When the girl noticed me, I told her "Welcome home Queen, How were you?" accompanied by a sweet and passionate smile.

"Your Queen Is Here!" I hear behind me, as i look at the source of the sound, i saw a girl with her arms wide open. i thought to myself, "You know, too much has happened in my first 5 minutes in here, i need to settle down for a minute." I then proceeded to the dorm rooms, and i'll probably summon Klaus there. it's been a while since i last saw that big fella.

Forest State wrote:Gaelle Rhyner

Noah's question was interrupted by well-kempt girl's exclamation. Turning towards the archway that marked the entrance to the school, he saw Gaelle, standing triumphantly. Nobody seemed to be paying attention, save for his group, which was the closest to the door. Noah tilted his head in confusion, furrowing his eyes in deep thought.

"Wow, Queen Elizabeth sure uses a lot of makeup. Conceals her age, I guess. I dunno about the shiny wig, though. Cool to have as a speaker, I guess." he commented towards the girl, unintentionally loud enough for her to hear. He was joking, of course....maybe. Rochi studied his face, just to make sure.

"So how did you find Mignonne?"

marie

Marie giggled as she saw how red Adrian got, "blushing is adorable on you, Monsieur Adrian." She smiled at the two spirit animals again as they played, she looked back at Adrian as he spoke, and then made a fake shocked face as he said that France was almost as beautiful as Stockholm, "that is a bad thing to say Monsieur, France is beautiful, it is not almost as beautiful as something else, it is beautiful." She gave a Kurt nod as she finished her rant.

She smiled again as she thought on his question, "it is more like she found me. I was out in the gardens one day thinking on life and death and next thing i knew she was rubbing up against me leg." She laughs at the story.

Campus grounds

Just as he was about to do pleasantries, Yeowoodong began to growl towards Wile as it was clear that she was trying to break free from his near iron grip to prevent either one of them getting injured and their owners dying. "Sorry about her, she usually doesn't get so riled up. But on the topic of weaponry, mine is more of a heirloom really." As he said that, he placed Yeowoodong down to bring down the massive case on his back. Opening it, it revealed the crystal sword with blue and white spirals, jagged throughout the blade. "A sword of pure crystal, my father used to use this."

Just as he had mounted it back and managed to catch Yeo in time before she ran off to commit mischief, he heard someone declare that their queen had returned. Turning to the girl, he had a face of pure confusion before he turned back to the other two students.

Adrian

Getting more startled every second, Adrian was starting to become slightly uncomfortable here. He kind of wanted to just hide in his dorm and sleep until everything was over. And where was the damn headmistress? Anyways, back to reality. He let her finish her French superiority rant before saying: "Oh, I'm blushing! Really now?" He made a great attempt to turn white again. "And okay, maybe France is beautiful in, you know, general, but I still prefer Sweden, it's also a beautiful place. So, you say you were just thinking about life and death and you found a figment of soul staring at you? Strange, but, um, they are pretty strange, if you really think about it, so, yeah. I met Oscar on a hunting trip. I was waiting for a duck to fly up when I heard several loud crunches behind me. Turns out, a Voidal was right behind me. It was going to lunge, but then I heard it scream and collapse, so I turned toward it, and there it was, Oscar was lying on top of it's corpse, haunches up and snarling. Since that day, we've never left each other's side." He pauses for a moment, and briefly sucks in some air. "So, how's your family like? Are any of them Aurawalkers, or anything like that.

Marie

Marie eyes went wide, "Sacre Bleu, you could have died Monsieur Adrian, if Oscar wasn't there you wouldn't be here right now." She looks down at Oscar and picks him up and puts him in her lap, "and Oscar, that was very brave of you to take down something of that size." She pet him, "hopefully neither of you were injured, that would be terrible."

She smiled gently when she was asked about her family, "my family is nice, we tend to be distance from each other most of the time except at meals, and then I am an only child. So my young life was a bit boring, but I got whatever I wanted, when I whated it." She sighs, "my family is quite well-off you might say, and has been that way for centuries. But I do not know if anyone else is an Aurawalker, but that would explain why my parents insisted that I start taking fencing lessons at six years old. But then again, I've never an animal in my house untill I brought in Mignonne." She shrugged, then looked at him, "How about your family?"

As soon as Marie said those words, Adrian's neck muscles quickly tensed and he was flooded by a wave of anger and rage as he thought about his family, and the part of it he hated...his mother. His abusive, disgusting, worthless mother. Not worthy for a guy like his dad at least, maybe worthy enough for Satan. Oscar also seemed to tense up slightly, and made a tiny snarl in the back of his throat before leaping up beside Adrian on the bench and nuzzling him with his head. He was always grateful for Oscar's company, no matter how much they fight. The words stick in his throat for a moment as he tries to get them out. "Ah..yes. My family. Well, ahem, I live alone with my dad, in downtown Stockholm, he's from Japan, he runs his own business in town. We're not as well off as you, per say, but we live comfortably enough. We're very close, you know, we do a lot together, although, sometimes he can be a touch...overbearing. Heh heh. I have no pets as well, no animals besides Oscar." He gives Oscar a loving stroke, as he again leaps down to play with the little mink.
