Anna Seikelmann, Monday, October 2nd, Colorado, United States of America

Anna stood awkwardly with a loss a words for quite a while. She didn't know how to respond to that. The girl uncomfortably shifted her feet and stared down at the floor. Blitz stared at her, somewhat confused and concerned. Uh, oh. This Could turn out very badly... Anna continued to stare down at the floor in shame. She had many questions she still wanted to ask the American, but now was not the time. Anna spoke softly.

" I, uh, am going to sit outside for a bit." Both Anna and Blitz stood up quickly and walked out of the dorm room, shutting the door behind them. Anna quickly ran outside and found a small bench, where she sat down and put her hands on her head. Anna looked down at her dog, who was watching her determinedly. The girl sighed. Is this really a new life or will a forever be deemed a social outcast and member of the unwealthy? I guess that would be normal.

Adrian decided eventually to wake up. He could tell Barron really wanted to go see the woods, and didn't want to hold him back. Oscar was growling at him. "Wake up you lazy oaf!" he was thinking "It's still the afternoon!" And of course, Adrian could hear. "Idiot!" he yelled "I'm awake! I don't even want to sleep." He got up, and with utmost precision, made his bed with hospital corners. He decided to unpack his keepsakes. First, it was his signed White Stripes poster of the cover for the album Elephant, which he had gotten signed from Jack and Meg White on a tour. Then it was a signed Raconteurs poster, and a signed Black Keys poster. Along with that, he hung up his Aikido gi, and his American Football uniform. He was always number 4. On his desk, he propped several photos of his dad and him. At the dojo, in Japan, snowmobiling. That man was his life, and would always be his greatest and closest friend. Oscar growled. Adrian chuckled. "Sorry, Oscar. Didn't mean to offend you." He wiped away a couple tears and continued with his business. He then set up his snare drum at the foot of his bed, and placed his stereo and his five CD's in a neat stack on his desk. He tried to take up as little space as possible, but it was tricky. At last, he was done. And he was bored. He longed for some adventure and fun. Oscar was also looking pretty dead. "What do you say Oscar? Find ourselves some adventure?" Oscar brightened immediately. Adrian laughed again. "Let's find some adventurers." And set off to find some adventures to come with him.

Gaelle Rhyner

Gaelle kind of just wanted to rest after carrying her bags in and after the flight and then ride to the place, but she perked up when she heard the door opening again and someone else entering. Her new roommate, maybe? It had to be her new roommate. She wondered what this girl would be like. She had to think back to the sheet to remember her name, but then it came into her mind. Christine. It sounded like an American or British name, or at least one that wasn't as exotic as Gaelle's own.

She sat up, wondering what she was going to see, and then her mind made the connection. So this was the girl that was riding the lion earlier, and she was going to be her roommate. That was cool. "Yeah, cats are the best," she said with a smile, taking Christine's hand and standing. She pointed back to the tigress that was laid out behind her. "That's Celine. And I'm Gaelle. Before you ask, I'm Swiss, not German," she said, with a chuckle at the last statement. With her accent, it was something she had to remind people of when she was first meeting them. She replied to the smile with one of her own. "Are you good at pranks? I'm sure we will be good friends if you are..."

October 2nd : Tanith Bettelheim : Not Stalking Adrian, I Swear

Tanith sighed. "Rude." This was the second time this morning that someone ran off from her.

She brushed off the dust from her pants, sat next to the mass of pillows on the floor, and tentatively glanced at Wile, who peered at her with a hint of disappointment in his eyes. "Hey, little buddy," Tanith murmured to him quietly. No matter how hushed or mumbled she would say her words, Wile would always understand. And that was okay. That's why she liked him.

"You fucked up." he would say to her tersely with her brother's voice, and for one, two, maybe even three minutes, Tanith didn't respond, mulling the sentence over in her head. She didn't know what she expected. Comfort, maybe? Then again, it was Wile. Not Amariah, not father, not her best friend, regardless of how much he sounded like them.

"I know." She wasn't stupid, contrary to the impression that the personification of her thoughts and feelings gave.

They sat next to each other without saying a word, understanding. It was hard to say what exactly there was to understand.

"You can't mope here forever, you know."

And she would only respond with an "I know."

"Pick yourself up. Do something. Hell, do whatever you like, really, but not... this." He gestured to Tanith and then the rest of the dorm room.

"You want me... to stop being... me?" Tanith blinked.

"No." She still couldn't read canine facial expressions, but from his tone, she guessed that he wasn't at all amused. He was difficult to please. "I want you to stop being a mopey little shit and go outside."

"Same thing, same shming," she would grumble under her breath, and after repetitive coaxing, she would get up, turn around, and head towards the same door that her roommate so rudely ran through. But not before slipping a whoopee cushion under Anna's bedsheets; it would've been pretty sneaky were it not for the fact that it made a very obvious bump.

Tanith looked around for a moment, her eyes on her shoes, and wandered off to apologize to Grumpy McFunky. It didn't take too long for her to find him, because Wile was furiously sniffing him out. Better not to think about it too much.

"Hey, Cranky O'Crabster," she would say to him while slouching against the wall like the laziest douchebag in the block. "I'm real sorry about what happened earlier. I didn't mean to... well, knock you down and make you look like the drollest dumbass on the block. Let's shake on it?" She winked.

The abuse of Irish naming conventions sure made great nicknames.

Adrian didn't even realise the fact that someone was stalking him. So when the weird Texas-bottlecap girl spoke up right behind him, needless to say, Swedish obscenities were stated. And, Cranky O'Crabster? What was she, a third grader? But it didn't matter. he had been intending to apologise and now was a time as good as any. "Yeah, sure, I ain't mad anymore. Sorry about whacking you in the face." He looks at her outstretched hand. "Don't shock me..." he said and grasped her hand in a firm shake. He took a deep breath. "So, anyway, I was looking to see if anyone wanted to go for an adventure. You up for it? Joybuzzers may not help." He grinned at his own joke.

October 2nd : Tanith Bettelheim : Measuring Wile's Face With An Imaginary Protractor To Check If He's Smiling

"Don't worry about it," she giggled.

As she had thrown her joybuzzer into the trash can, which was a waste of a good bottlecap, to be honest, there was no way for her to shock him with it. Unlike what her character may suggest, she does not in fact wear joybuzzers on both hands.

"Sounds fun. I'm all for it!" Adventures were always fun. It's not like there's anything else to do here today, anyways, seeing that there were no classes today. "By the way," she added. "I'm Tanith. Tanith Bettelheim! Didn't catch your name, so now would be a good time to tell me."

Wile flashed her a look of approval--she could tell because his lips curled upwards by approximately 0.276 degrees--and sauntered off to "find more roadrunners." She didn't know, actually, why he was walking away, but he'd come back eventually.

Marie

Marie thanked Heather for her help, and sat on her bed, "Oui that does seem to be all," she happily pets Mignonne as the mink climbs onto her lap. She looks up at Heather, "so Mademoiselle Heather, you said you were from Oslo? Oui? You are the second Nordic person ive met today, there seems to be quite a few Europeans here. That shall be nice, " she smiled and stood keeping Mignonne in her arms. "But if you will excuse me, I wish to aalk the campus just a little bit more so I can meet a few more people, Oui?, " she hands Heather the business card with all of ber social media on it, " just in case if you need me." She heads to the door, "Ami d'adieu."
Marie walks around the school a little bit just to bump into someone, "pardon me, I am so terribly sorry for bumping into you." She looks at the person she bumped into.

Adrian couldn't help but crack a smile at the girl's enthusiasm. It was contagious! Oscar seemed to be cheered up too. "Cool." he said "I'm Adrian Andersson, pleased to meet you. Now, you know anybody else who likes adventures? Because...some kids on my shuttle were talking about an ugly, deserted house a few blocks away that they say is haunted. Anyways, I thought it would be a good place to live, as long as the Ghostbusters don't jump through the window with a vacuum while we're there." As he walked down the hall, he was so busy talking that he didn't notice when he bumped into someone. "Pardon me, I'm very sorry for bumping into you.". He remembered that voice. "Shit, it's the Gendarmarie." he thought, and Oscar froze as well. He turns and braces himself. "It's alright. No need to worry. Oh, hey Marie. Me and Tanith were going to go see a haunted house, wanna come? But you have been warned for paranormal activity."

October 2nd : Tanith Bettelheim : I Don't Even Know

If she was in an old-timey video game, there would probably be a message floating above her head stating that she joined the party. Or maybe he joined the party instead, she didn't know. That'd be pretty neat, but unfortunately, this wasn't an old-timey video game.

"Might as well get our ghost-hunting on," Tanith replied, her eyes shifting towards the second building to the right. "I don't know many people here so far, but there is this one guy who might be willing to come. Tim, I think." She shrugged. "It'd be worth a shot if I knew where he was."

Tanith was about to pick up the nickel that she dropped until some insincerity-reeking kid came by and somehow bumped into the both of them. Somehow. Maybe everyone here suffered from a terminal case of notpayingattentiontowheretheyregoingitis, Tanith herself not exempted. She didn't know when the 'itis' part would kick in. But she had a feeling that it would be soon.

"Hey!" she yelped in surprise. "Whazzat for?"

Still beaming, Christine felt the warmth of the other girl's hand as she was apparently about to shake hers. Then, she almost lost her balance when she suddenly felt the other girl's entire weight pulling on her. Not quite having expected that, she quickly readjusted her position to avoid falling on top of Gaelle, and then let out a sigh of relief at not having made a fool of herself. Looking back up, she noticed the black-haired girl pointing at the Bengal tiger and listened, smiling again as she looked at the creature. "Celine." She repeated under her breath, nodding at herself. It was a pretty name, in her opinion. A bit less epic than she would have gunned for, but then, it was her companion's spirit animal, not hers, so that was alright.

"Swiss, not German? Good! I have no reason to have anything against you then! Since we're sharing, I'm English, born and raised in London before coming here." She said, grinning a little at her own joke, before mulling over her new roommate's question. "As for pranks, well, I'm not really an expert, but I have done them once or twice. I'm up for anything as long as it's fun, honestly." She said with a small chuckle.

Just then, she noticed King Arthur's mane tickling her a little as the noble beast made its way into the room and sniffed Celine once or twice, displaying mild curiosity, before walking over to Christine's bed and lying down with its front paws outstretched. Sitting down on her bed and petting the resting king of the jungle, the blonde Englishwoman spoke. "Oh, this big fuzzy guy is King Arthur. I hope he and Celine get along well, too." She stated. Once again, Arthur simply grunted with indifference.

Barron felt like he had been running around campus for a while now looking for some sign of woodland creatures, his vulture not being very communicative to make the time pass any easier, and still nothing. No trail or trace. It was disappointing, he honestly thought that with the Aurawalkers and spirit animals and everything else being real, that there was a good shot of him finding something. Especially somewhere that all of these kind of things were concentrated. But he would not be discouraged.
Which meant he would keep walking. He was use to doing this for long periods of time and the scenery was really nice anyway. Fallax pecks the teen's head, he swore that was the avian's primary way of communicating if they weren't actively doing something with others, getting his attention towards a different direction. He looks over, seeing a gathering group of students.
Maybe they knew or saw something? If nothing else, it looked like his roommate from earlier was there so maybe they could talk more to.
"Hey." He waves in greeting to join them. "Are you all looking for something to?"

Adrian then noticed his roommate Barron approaching them with his weird vulture. He held a book, and he looked like he'd been wandering around. He gave a cheery wave back. "No, not really, me and Tanith were just gonna see if anyone wanted to come with us to a haunted house. You up for it? Don't worry, you'll be all "fright"."

Baroon chuckled at his roommate's humor once more. He liked it. Fallax gives a low caw, Barron turning to see the vulture looking down at the book in his hands then at the group of students. Was it saying to go with them? Or that maybe there could be something in the haunted house?
Not like he had any better leads. Plus, if a house was haunted, that might mean it was abandoned. And abandoned houses always had something he could scavenge. Win-win.
"Sure! Thanks." Barron enthusiastically agreed to the adventure.

Marie

When Marie saw that it was Adrian that she bumped into she smiled, she smiled more at his question, she had always been a fan of the supernatural, "Oui, it sounds like it could be fun." She looked over to the girl he was with, she gasped to see that it was the girl that shocked him earlier, "you should be ashamed of what you did earlier....shocking such a sweet, innocent boy...." she gave a glare to the girl, "I must ask, what possessed you to do such a thing? It was absolutely horrible...I hope you at least apologized for tge socialistic embarrassment you caused him." She stood in a manner that gave her a commanding aura, she pet Mignonne a little as she stood.

Thats when a boy walked up and was talking to Adrian, she smiled once more and scooted closer to the two boys, "Bonjour," she said sweetly to the new boy, "what is your name? I am Marie-Christine Bourgeois, and this is Mignonne," she held up the mink gently.

Anna Seikelmann, Monday, October 2nd, Colorado, United States of America

Anna leaned back against a large tree's trunk, eyes closed and snoring softly. Despite Anna being asleep, Blitz sat wide awake, eyes opened and ears perked. The dog was ever alert, as he should be. He was born to protect his master and follow in the footsteps of his ancestors as the true friends of Prussian loyalty. Blitz stared back at Anna. Although she wasn't much now, she could one day be like her relatives of old, powerful, disciplined, and German. It would just take time.

A movement in the corner of Blitz's eye caught his attention and he quickly turned to see a small group of students gathering. Blitz concentrated his ears on the group. Instantly, he let out a low growl. The sharp, annoying voice of a French girl sounded through his ears. At the same time, Anna opened her eyes due to his growl. " Vhat is it?" Blitz turned and responded with a voice in Anna's mind. "There's a French girl over there." Anna's eyes narrowed and a slight scowl crossed her face. " Ich hasse diese hässlichen Bastarde!" Blitz let out a warning growl. "Ich weß, Sie tun. Bleib ruhig und still." Anna snorted and reluctantly leaned back against the tree again.

Translation:
" I hate those ugly bastards!"
"I know you do. Just stay calm and quiet."

Barron was quiet for a few seconds again when a girl he didn't know spoke to him, finding her accent interesting like the girl he had first met. Seemed this place brought in people from everywhere. But he liked hearing the different ways of talking, they all felt unique.
"Hello." He returns, shifting the book he held to one hand so he could reach a finger out towards the mink in a show of friendliness. They might not be real animals, but he treated the Aurawalker spirit companions as if they were live creatures that he so often interacted with. "I'm Barron Aldane. This is Fallax." The vulture gives a low grunt in acknowledgement.

"Besides," her eyes darted towards Barron and the vulture, her voice lowering so that the others wouldn't hear. "The courtyard seems to have an area of about two-to-three-hundred square feet, with about groups of three-or-four students appearing every twenty or so. There were barely any people here!"

"And you," she said, shooting a mock-accusatory glare at Marie-Christine. "just happened to bump into the one person who happened to look at you funny. What a strange coincidence, isn't it? Almost as if you had a fixin' to bully this poor, sweet, confused little girl on purpose." She rolled her eyes. Honestly, what was with her?

"Sorry about the hold-up, Mister Barron," Tanith turned towards Barron. "The name's Tanith. Tanith Bettelheim. 100% fresh-picked organic Texan. How are you?" She held out a hand for a handshake, just like what she did with Adrian, except without the joybuzzer.

"No worries." Barron told the other girl of the group he didn't know but that decided to talk to him. Not that he held that against them, he liked meeting new people that were involved in this lifestyle as well. Not like he had other places to be anyway, so he had no objections to being around them. He grips the offered hand without pause, either not knowing what occurred earlier due to this kind of exchange or not thinking it would be done again.
"You're not holding me up. I'm doing good. Really like this place. Have been searching for some things." The teen holds up the book in his other hand, showing what was likely old pages with crude but descriptive and skillful drawings in dark ink. "But I haven't seen any yet. How have you been so far?"

"Fine," Tanith replied simply, scanning the drawings on the pages.

Though she couldn't read what the words said from this distance, it was more likely than not that he was taking notes on what he saw at the school. It sounded like a good idea, she suppose, seeing that there were lots of things to be learned here. "The lady at the front desk was nice. A bit creepy, but nice."

She leaned forwards for a closer look at the book. "So, do you think the house is haunted? I mean," she snorted. "I used to not believe in ghosts myself. But after the Aurawalker people showed up, I'm a bit... confused. More gullible, if you want to put it that way. You know what I mean?" He probably didn't.

"Sure." Barron replied to the question, thinking maybe it was the same thing or along the lines of what happened to him. He thought more things that people generally dismissed as myth or things he used to be on the fence about now had a possible shot of being real. He wasn't sure what that might be called, but no matter. As long as he found his woodland creatures and got to elope with one, Bigfoot could be the master of an intergalactic alien invasion force. Of course, they would avoid the invading force and be happy living away from everything, but that was beside the point.
"I don't know. Never been to a real haunted house." He continues. "But anything could be real now. So I just want it to be and adventure."

Gaelle Rhyner

"I got thrown out of a school before because the Principal and the teachers didn't think my pranks were as funny as the rest of the students did. But to be fair, I probably deserved it after I filled his office with packing peanuts. It got some attention on Facebook though, so I would do the same thing again if I had the chance," Gaelle said, laughing at the memory. And then she got a little sad, remembering her old school, but the look disappeared from her face quickly. There was more to be excited about over here, with others like herself.

She thought about Christine's background, silently thinking to herself that she'd been right. "London, eh? Always wanted to go there. Zurich might be a big city but it's not like that place. I love the music, the nightlife, the clothes, all of it. But you think my boring parents ever let me go there? Nah. They might be rich but rich people can be just as boring, you know. I'd say they usually are..." she said, her eyes gazing off into the distance as if she was thinking of something else. Of back home.

"Let's just say I'm happy to be here instead of Zurich," she finally said, after a long pause. "And yeah, I hope Celine and King Arthur are friends. It would help us out once our training starts."

Now sitting on her bed, next to her duffel bag and the items that were already present before she entered the room, Christine continued petting King Arthur as while she listened to her roommate talk about her life, chuckling slightly at the fact that Gaelle had been thrown out of school once and nodding along as she talked about Zurich and her family, though she raised her eyebrow a bit at the money talk.

"Just try not to get expelled from here, alright? Or I'll end up having to get another roommate and that would be well annoying." The blonde girl told her roommate, before looking at King Arthur and then at Celine, thinking of something. "Anyway, speaking of training, you reminded me..." She stated, trailing off at the end as she instead looked at the stuff on her bed and picked up the colorful card that was right next to the bronze badge and the folded clothes. Only a glance was enough to ascertain that she was to be a member of team Aurora, obviously, but she opted to examine it anyway, noting the symbol and the colors that composed it. Afterwards, she straightened her back to look past her roommate and the two spirit animals, glancing now at Gaelle's card and then grinning.

"Great, looks like we're on the same team!" She said, her previous excitement returning. "This will be great! We have two big cats on the team, I wonder who else is going to be with us? I haven't met many people yet but I'm sure it will be fun!" She continued, idly taking the uniform into her hands and unfolding it to look at it. Seeing the black bow and skirt and the yellow clothes, though, she paused for several moments. "This is... not quite my style." She commented with a slight frown on her face.

Adrian let out a long sigh of impatience. Women and their bickering! It could last all day! Barron seemed preoccupied with Tanith, Marie with Tanith, and Tanith with both, so, he felt a little out of place. And, c'mon, not even boyish! She didn't have to insult his masculinity. Anyways, that's when he noticed the same German girl from the quad lying against a tree, with her big dog. What was that breed? Anyway, she was staring at something. He quickly followed her eyes, and realized she was staring at Marie. And that stare was one of hatred, disgust, and fear. He had seen it in his dad's eyes, his...mum's eyes, in his eyes. Too many times in his eyes. He decided to make idle chat with her. He strolled over, and cheerily said. "Hello there. I'm Adrian. Even though the tree gives you an ultimate comfort experience, I would suggest joining us. We're going to a haunted house, or so they say. But I have to ask, why do you hate that French girl so much? Did she, like, you know, attack you or something?" The girl wasn't wearing the nicest of clothes, but she was pretty. He felt himself starting to grow heavy-tongued and awkward again. But it was interrupted when Oscar barked out and started to growl at her big dog.

Anna Seikelmann, Monday, October 2nd, Colorado, United States of America

Anna closed her eyes again after speaking to Blitz, ignorant to the world around her. Blitz, on the other hand, was completely alert. The Wolfhound's sharp eyes caught the movement of one of the boys from the group moving towards the two of them, a cheery smile on his face. Blitz quickly surveyed him, Aryan features but not German nor Austrian. Likely Swedish or Norweigan if I'd say so. Hmm, not bad. Another hound as well, albeit if it is but a toy.

Anna opened an eye as she heard a male voice call a hello. Almost immediately, she stood up and offered a small curtsy. " Hallo Adrian. I am Anna, of Germany. Vhere might you be from?" Blitz snorted disdainfully. Anna! Can't you tell?! Anna cast a sharp glance at her companion before turning back to the boy. " I may join you, I may not. I'm not sure if I'm suited for zhat kind of thing. I've never done it before." Anna cast another glance at the loud French girl. " Nein. It is not her personally. It's just zhe French people are.... I don't really vant to talk about it."

Blitz began to snort again when he was distracted by the other hound barking and growling at him. Blitz rose from his spot on the ground and looked down at the other dog. Is this fool challenging me? Then it will be a fight! An honorable fair one at that! Blitz raised his hackles and began to get ready to pounce. Anna caught Blitz's posture out of the corner of her eye. " Nein, Blitz!" She turned back to the boy. " Mein apologies. Blitz has his own sense of honor and warfare." Blitz sat back down and cast his own look of annoyance at Anna.

Marie

Marie giggled a little as Mignonne smelled Barron, "she is very sweet to people." Thats when Tanith spoke up against her, Marie huffed, "How dare you make such a horrible accusation," her accent got thicker as she argued with Tanith, "I would never. And how dare you insult Adrian, he is very sweet, and very handsome, you just don't have any good tastes....probably because of the horribly fried food you consume on a daily basis... lack of quality nutrition, it , along with the lack of quality education...tend to effect how you react with society."
Marie huffed again, and quickly handed Barron her card with her social media and number on it, and stormed off angrily before Tanith could give a rebuttal. She walked towards Adrian, and quickly put a smile on her face for the other new girl, completely oblivious to the feeling in the air around her, "Bonjour," she spoke with sweetness and with out any malice, "How are you today? I am Marie-Christine, I'm from France, what's your name and where are you from?" Mignonne sat on her shoulder, "and this is Mignonne too." Marie giggled innocently.
